Malaysia is ready to become China’s trusted strategic partner across key industries, including electric vehicles (EVs), battery technology and renewable energy, serving together as the true "engine" of future growth, says Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

01:00In 2025, China remains Malaysia's largest trading partner for 17 consecutive years, with bilateral trade reaching about RM541 billion.

01:19It reflects a partnership that has stood the test of time and continues to grow with new strategic meetings.
01:26But, as the world enters the new industrial era, Malaysia and China must now move beyond trading with each other.
01:35We must begin building the industries of the future together.
01:41Malaysia values, the foundation of trust that has brought our two countries to where we are today.
01:49But, in today's fast changing world, trust must also be translated into future facing cooperation.
01:56This means expanding our collaboration into electric mobility, battery technology, renewable energy, smart manufacturing, digital system, and talent development.
