00:19to deepening bilateral relations, saying the country values its long-standing partnership

00:31Anwar thanked Xi for inviting him to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization
00:35SCO plus summit in Tianjin on Monday, describing it as a great honour for Malaysia to participate
00:43in the forum's deliberations. Malaysia and China established diplomatic relations on May 31,
00:491974 and elevated ties to a comprehensive strategic partnership in 2013. The relationship has
00:58since expanded across multiple sectors, including politics, trade, education, culture and social
01:05development. China has remained Malaysia's largest trading partner for 16 consecutive years since
01:122009, with bilateral trade reaching over RM482 billion in 2024, accounting for 16.8 percent of
01:22Malaysia's total global trade.
