00:01Selamat tengah hari, Perdana Menteri Anthony Albanese, Excellencies, Ladies and Gentlemen.
00:11We are really encountering post-normal times.
00:16We did discuss this, developments are unanticipated and continue to haunt us
00:27because we are not able to fairly and squarely craft an agenda forward
00:35because many of these issues are quite unresolved.
00:41You know, disruptions both in terms of production and supply chains.
00:46So the world certainly looks different today, Prime Minister,
00:51than it did when you were here in Kuala Lumpur last Oktober.
00:57The streets of Hormuz have been effectively closed for nearly seven weeks.
01:04Global energy markets are under severe stress.
01:07Supply chains are disrupted.
01:10And the consequences are plummeting and plummeting through the seven seas.
01:19This is, of course, the backdrop of our meeting today.
01:24I'm, of course, extremely grateful that the exchange has been very frank, cordial,
01:29as great friends, not only in terms of bilateral relationship, but based on trust.
01:37And that was what I said, and I want to repeat this publicly.
01:43Malaysia will always be a reliable partner to Australia.
01:50We will be mates, I don't know why you use that term,
01:56through thick and thin as we have always been.
02:01Our discussions today covered trade, investments, and agriculture.
02:07But given the state of the world today, I want to start with energy.
02:13Malaysia and Australia share strong interdependence in energy resources,
02:19including fuel and LNG.
02:22We have existing agreements, and today we reaffirmed our commitment to them.
02:28We also signed a joint statement on energy security,
02:33reflecting our commitment to stable and resilient energy supplies.
02:40We also witnessed the signing of the MOU between Malaysia's Department of Islamic Development,
02:47Wajakim, and Australia's Department of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries.
02:54This will enhance market access for both countries.
02:59We also agreed to deepen cooperation in agriculture,
03:03including sharing expertise in production and irrigation
03:08to ensure sustainable food supply for both Malaysians and Australians.
03:15Let no one mistake the weight of what we signed today.
03:20When supply chains are disrupted and food prices are increasing and rising,
03:28agreements like these have a direct impact on people's lives.
03:32The distance between a signed agreement and a family's dinner table
03:38is shorter than most people imagine.
03:50그러니 region to wish amazing people imagine looking bigger,
03:51so that the quê, they don't want us to be better.
