00:03Hello, Mr Jones.
00:05Mr Evans.
00:05What can I do for you?
00:07I've just come round for a chat about coming on your show.
00:09Cup of tea?
00:11Beautiful.
00:19Now, I don't want no jokes about me having been acting for years as a footballer every Saturday afternoon.
00:25Okay?
00:26Okay, Mr Jones.
00:27I don't want no questions about my personal life.
00:30This is business, not personal.
00:32Okay, Mr Jones.
00:46Thank you, Mr Jones.
00:47Thank you, Mr Jones.
01:04Hey everyone, happy Friday. Thanks so much for tuning in. Coming up on tonight's TFI Unplugged, Chris O'Dowd is going
01:10to be here. Kelly Riley and Cole Hauser, that's Beth and Rick from Yellowstone. But Bill Radley is playing live.
01:18And from location, location, location, location, Kirstie and Phil. But first it's Will.
01:34Hey Will, what? No. No. I haven't got time for that. Well, ignore those. What news? Chris, we have a
01:44brand new item. Oh. You know everyone's been going on about Saturday Night Live. Indeed they have. So, what about
01:53Friday nights still alive? You mean nights with a K who are still alive on a Friday? Correct.
02:02I love it. Do we have any? Chris, we have three tonight alone. No way. We have, drum roll please.
02:13Sir Rod Stewart. Okay. Coming up, Sir Rod Stewart. We have Sir Tom Jones. Tom Jones. Coming up.
02:26But our first ever night still alive on a Friday is Sir Elton John.
02:57Elton John, everybody. So, Elton, well, oh, here we go. Straight away. Continuity. Okay. Tell us.
03:06That's one of the letters I got today. Okay. All right. Read it out. Okay. Straight away, yeah? Yeah.
03:09Shall I set it up in any way? Yes, yeah. No, that's fine. Okay. A letter that Elton received today.
03:12Yes.
03:13Okay. Dear Elton, I think it was very brave of you to sing the new version of Candle in the
03:17Wind,
03:17as it would bring a tear to a glass eye. And I should know as my gran has a glass
03:21eye.
03:21From Raymond Craig, age 11, from Scotland. How many letters like this have you had?
03:28Well, 15 from people with glass eyes. Yes. Oh, I mean, tons.
03:33What's it been like over the last seven days, the reaction to what's going on as far as you're concerned?
03:38It's been a madhouse, really. Because you went to America, didn't you?
03:41I went to America Monday because I had to do a memorial concert for, a memorial service for Gianni Versace,
03:45so I had to sing at that as well. Right. What did you sing there?
03:48A song called Live Like Horses. And then I went to Orlando, and we played tennis with Pete Sampras for
03:53the AIDS Foundation,
03:54and I came back yesterday.
03:55And was, I mean, I know you did a few press conferences there, and you chatted to a few people.
03:58I just did one. I just did an interview at the press conference, the tennis thing, yeah.
04:02Right. And once again, did the Diana thing take that?
04:04Well, we, not really. You know, we said no questions, really.
04:07Because I think, you know, the less said about it from my point of view is the better.
04:10I mean, I played at the service, and it was probably the most, the biggest honor I've ever received in
04:14my life
04:14to be invited to the funeral, let alone sing at it.
04:18Was it the most important performance of your life, would you say?
04:21Absolutely. Because, you know, with all those people watching, and for her being a friend,
04:25and I wanted to sing it properly and without breaking down.
04:28And towards the end, at the beginning of the third verse, my voice cracked a little bit,
04:31and I just thought, oh, God, I'm going to lose it. And I didn't.
04:34How did you stop yourself from losing it? Because, I mean, a lot of people...
04:38Do you see my right eyebrow going up and down?
04:40Yep.
04:42What's that all about?
04:44Have you ever done that before or since?
04:45I can't do it normally. I mean, what's going on here?
04:48You look like Roger Moore for a while.
04:49I guess I got it from him, yes.
04:50Now, tell us a story, because there's a story behind how the song happened.
04:53Apparently, you went straight from Westminster Abbey and recorded it.
04:55Tell us everything.
04:56I went from Westminster Abbey back home, because George Michael and David,
05:00my partner, was with me with George Michael.
05:01We went, I had a nice ham roll.
05:05That's what one does.
05:06Because you didn't know what else to do, didn't you?
05:07No, no.
05:08Well, you know, if you've got money, you have to spend it, don't you?
05:11What else do you do?
05:13You know, you have to throw caution to the wind or candles.
05:20And I went back.
05:21I made a cheese roll.
05:22No, it's ham roll, I'm sorry.
05:23And then I went around the corner to Townhouse Studios in the Goldhawk Road
05:27and cut the track, Piano and Voice Live, did two takes.
05:30George Martin produced it for me.
05:32And then he put, when I went home to sort of collapse,
05:34he put a string quartet and woodwind on it.
05:36And it's coming out tomorrow.
05:38So the whole process has taken a week, really.
05:39Okay, and all the artwork.
05:40I've got it here.
05:41I've got it here.
05:41I just want to show it.
05:42Because all the artwork was done as well, wasn't it?
05:43You approved it in about 14 hours.
05:45And the great thing about it was,
05:46and I think the government's done a great job since they've been in,
05:48but the Chancellor rang me and said that he would personally make sure
05:53that all the VAT that's taken from the record
05:55will be given back to the charity.
05:56So, yeah, it's very good.
05:58Okay.
05:59Now, okay, so I'm sorry tomorrow.
06:02We know it's going to be fantastically.
06:04I believe at 5 o'clock today there was a worldwide radio play of it as well.
06:07Do you know about this?
06:08Apparently so, yeah.
06:095 o'clock, apparently, all the radio stations in the world played this song at 5 o'clock.
06:13They'll buy it in about 6 weeks if they ever hear this song.
06:16And they're going to go.
06:18See, Elton, you're the most modest man in the world,
06:20because I just don't think that's going to happen.
06:21But there's a story about the video.
06:23Are you angry about the video?
06:25About the selling of the video?
06:27I don't really know too much about it.
06:29I know that they wanted to put the video of the service out,
06:31and they couldn't guarantee that all the money would go to her foundation,
06:34so I said no.
06:35I mean, especially the ITV.
06:39And I know that ITV,
06:41they were £3 from each video was going to the foundation,
06:45but that's not enough.
06:46These videos were £12.99.
06:48And they said, well, you know, they're £12.99,
06:49and we'll give £3 to the Diana thing.
06:51And you said, no, give it all.
06:52It's all or nothing.
06:53So I said no.
06:54If people buy the video, they won't see me on it, so there you go.
06:57Okay.
06:58If they were to reinstate you and give it all to the fund, you'd do it?
07:01Probably, yeah.
07:02Okay, excellent.
07:04So, that's all over now.
07:05Yeah.
07:07And is it a relief?
07:08It is, yeah.
07:10Did I hear a rumour that,
07:11and this is not meant to be flippant,
07:13but did I hear a rumour that Mother Trasor obviously passed away as well,
07:16is it true that her government called you up
07:18and asked you to do a tribute song?
07:19Someone from Ghana called the office.
07:20Do you believe this?
07:23My manager's Scottish,
07:24and this guy from Ghana, the Ghanaian embassy,
07:26called up and said,
07:27oh, very well, the Prime Minister of Ghana is Scottish too.
07:31Which, um...
07:32Is that true?
07:33That's Elvis Presley and the Prime Minister of Ghana
07:35in like three months.
07:38And, of course, Scotland's, you know, getting its own vote now,
07:40so Scotland's obviously the place to be.
07:41Even in Ghana, yes!
07:43But have you thought about a tribute song to Mother Teresa?
07:46I have thought about it, but no.
07:47And you haven't come up with any lyrics or anything like that?
07:51Shush.
07:52All right.
07:53Now, you're quite a feisty guy.
07:55I watched...
07:56Here we go.
07:57Steady on, steady on.
07:58This is what we want.
07:59I'm one of the feisty girls.
08:04I watched Tantrums and Tiaras again this week.
08:06And, I mean...
08:07Everybody was saying here that you behave exactly the same.
08:10Well, I was just going to say,
08:12you like her out, I like her out.
08:14We both like her out.
08:15Now, today, I had a row about your row.
08:17You did?
08:18Yeah, because I wanted to show the clip
08:19on Tantrums and Tiaras
08:20where you really lose it in the New York video shoot.
08:23Yeah.
08:23I mean, it's just totally unjustified,
08:25which is a...
08:26You know, that's the best one to have.
08:27They're the best one.
08:28That's the one I'm renowned for.
08:30And they wouldn't let me show it
08:32because they said it was gratuitous swearing.
08:34It was.
08:34Yeah.
08:35But it wouldn't have been gratuitous
08:36because of the context of the question.
08:37Can't you bleep it?
08:39We did bleep it.
08:39There's still one I showed.
08:40But there's not much left, right.
08:41No, I know.
08:42Beatles about can do it.
08:43We can't.
08:44What's the country coming to?
08:45I've got no idea.
08:46I don't know.
08:46Now, you've earned a few quid.
08:47Yes, I have.
08:48How much do you think you've spent?
08:49Oh, if I had a penny for every penny I've spent,
08:52I'd be very rich by now.
08:54Could you put a ballpark figure on it?
08:56A ballpark figure?
08:57Yeah, you know.
08:59I don't know.
09:00Is it more than 20 million?
09:02What is it?
09:02Oh, it's more than 20 million.
09:05Let's keep going higher.
09:07What is it, 30 million?
09:09More than that.
09:09Honestly?
09:10Yeah.
09:11Jesus.
09:13And that's just the drugs.
09:18So, Elton John, our first of our Friday nights still alive.
09:26Nights for the case, still alive on a Friday.
09:27Still funny.
09:30Just about.
09:31And by the way, there is more than a rumour
09:34that we're going to be doing this show from Elton John's house.
09:36Oh!
09:39But first, it's World Pop Genius!
09:45All right, great help up, genius.
09:47What do we have here?
09:48I am going to get that olive into that glass
09:51without touching it with my hands.
09:52Come on, he does!
09:53Come on!
09:55He's a fraud!
09:56No way!
09:58He's a fraud!
09:59He's a liar!
10:01Get out of town!
10:02Liar!
10:03Liar!
10:04Tell us the truth!
10:06You out.
10:08Can be done.
10:09Come on, please.
10:17Oh!
10:19No way!
10:20No way!
10:21Oh!
10:24Okay.
10:24Unless you see that again in slow-mo.
10:26Can be done.
10:27Can be done.
10:28Can be done.
10:29Can be done.
10:29Can be done.
10:30Drum roll, please.
10:38Oh!
10:41Can be done.
10:42Can be done.
10:43Can be done.
10:45Can be done.
10:47Oh, he's going again.
10:49All right.
10:49Here we go.
11:01All right.
11:02Big guest time now.
11:03He's starring in the new You Done It, The Sheep Detectives, which hits cinemas on Friday.
11:08So make some noise and make it loud for Chris O'Donnell.
11:16Yes, Chris.
11:18Yes.
11:19Lovely.
11:20Lovely to see you.
11:22Thanks, guys.
11:23Oh, my God.
11:24Now.
11:25Oh, that was from the heart.
11:26Oh, it was from the heart.
11:27From every one of them.
11:28Just love me.
11:30All right.
11:31Okay.
11:32Right.
11:32The Sheep Detectives cinemas this Friday, 8th of May, Motorhead Day.
11:36The 8th of May.
11:37That's very good.
11:38I haven't seen that one before.
11:40The Sheep Detectives.
11:41My kids and I, we watched it yesterday.
11:43We loved it.
11:43All right.
11:44Good.
11:44The best way to describe it is Babe meets Knives Out.
11:47That's good.
11:47Is that all right?
11:48You happy with that?
11:48I feel like animation-wise, that's kind of the vibe.
11:50It's like live action, but then the sheep look like normal sheep, but talk.
11:55Yeah.
11:56I hope this isn't too much tech speak.
11:58Just shout out human or sheep in the film, right?
12:01Hugh Jackman.
12:02Human.
12:03Shepherd.
12:04Shepherd.
12:05Yeah.
12:05Victim.
12:06Yeah, you don't have to say it's fine.
12:08Emma Thompson.
12:09Is a human person.
12:10Human.
12:11She does it better than anyone.
12:12She's so good at human.
12:14Patrick Stewart.
12:15Patrick Stewart is a sheep.
12:17Sheep.
12:17Yeah.
12:20The Stewart sheep, that's right.
12:21Such a good TFI game, sheep.
12:24People just sing in there.
12:25What do you mean Patrick Stewart is a sheep?
12:27Okay, well, there's more to go.
12:28Brian Cranston.
12:29Sheep.
12:29Sheep.
12:30Yeah.
12:31Um, Brett Goldstein.
12:33Brett Goldstein is a two sheep.
12:36Two sheep.
12:36Oh, wow.
12:38I know.
12:39How exciting is that?
12:40That's all the money.
12:41That's right.
12:41Yeah, and I so want to say what his twin sheep get up to, but I can't because that really
12:47is a spoiler.
12:47Is it?
12:50Oh, all the sex stuff.
12:56Oh, my God.
12:57Oh, my God.
12:57What's the similar thing that you would say normally when you watch one of your films about
13:01you?
13:01Well, do you know what?
13:02It's not even necessarily like it's a performance thing.
13:04Right.
13:05It would be something more like, oh, God, why is my posture always that bad?
13:08A little bit like this.
13:09It's like Hunchback of Notre Dame and through every film.
13:12Right.
13:12I'm like, God, even this guy is out of shape.
13:16Sheep out of shape.
13:17The other big news in your house, I would imagine, is the fact that Dad signed up to
13:20be in Soccer Aid.
13:22Oh, God.
13:24Unbelievable.
13:24Yeah, it is unbelievable.
13:26Right.
13:26So you've been brought out of the pen to play a sheep and you've been brought off the bench
13:29to actually play in this football match.
13:31I'm going to do it.
13:32I'm going to do it.
13:32I'm excited.
13:33You've played the wise card because you're going in goal.
13:35I'm going in goal.
13:36That's a very wise thing to do.
13:37But I'll go in goal after Edwin van de Zhaar has just been in goal.
13:41That's fair enough.
13:44I know, but I am excited.
13:45I kind of mentioned it to Dawn at breakfast.
13:47I was like, oh, Soccer Aid were on.
13:48And then the 11-year-old was like, oh, that's great.
13:50You're going to do that.
13:51Yeah, yeah.
13:52I'm like, well, I haven't even read the thing.
13:54And he's like, well, you have to do it.
13:55Okay.
13:55So he said no to traitors then?
13:58He said no to traitors.
14:02Because clearly that's what's going on.
14:04No, it's not.
14:04In the O'Dowd household.
14:05It's really not.
14:06It's really not.
14:06I'm going to mess it.
14:09But I am the coach of the 11-year-old soccer team, you see.
14:11Well, I know.
14:12So now I'm entrenched in that world.
14:14I can't suddenly be, oh, but not for me.
14:16See, but it's interesting because I know that you very cleverly got yourself out of the parents'
14:20WhatsApp group at school.
14:22Look, WhatsApp groups for parents, it's a very dark road.
14:26And so I thought, okay, I need out of this.
14:29So I started when we would have like some kind of event, some kind of school event, and everybody
14:35would be post-morteming it the next day on the WhatsApp group.
14:38I would chime in at the very end with something like, hey, did anybody find my other shoe?
14:45And then nobody would kind of respond.
14:48And then I'd keep asking.
14:50And then you realise that nobody wants you to do anything of a responsible nature if they
14:55think you only have one shoe.
14:57And so they stop including everything.
15:00Chris, is there anything else you'd like to say?
15:02No, but it's been lovely being here.
15:06This really brings me back, honestly.
15:08This kind, this brings me back.
15:09I would have been 15, 16 when you were right.
15:13It was great, great crack.
15:14I was thinking about you on the way in today.
15:16Thinking about, why is he getting up to come and see us?
15:18I think I'm mostly here because Hugh Jackman is on Broadway.
15:22Is that what it is?
15:25See?
15:25But we'd rather have Chris O'Dowd.
15:33Yeah, I told him, if it wasn't for me, they'd have no way to edit these bits together.
15:38It's all filmed on different days.
15:41All right, coming up, we have Sir Tom Jones.
15:45We have Sir Rod Stewart.
15:49And the other sir is back again.
15:50Here's Elton John again.
16:14Into something real
16:16I'm wide awake and I can see the perfect sky is torn
16:21You're a little late
16:24I'm already torn
16:34Come on!
16:38Natalie and Brilliant, how good was that performance?
16:40She's the best.
16:41Absolutely awesome.
16:41That is Torn from 1997.
16:44Ready to play?
16:44Absolutely.
16:45OK, TFI Trumps.
16:46Here we go, it's round three.
16:48I'm going to go for The Woman with the Very Long Tongue.
16:54It's pretty good, but I have against that.
16:56I've got Jon Bon Jovi Almost Sets Fire to Chris.
16:59Oh, ha, ha, ha.
17:02Better than that.
17:04We all want to see that.
17:05All right, fun factor for mine, 82.
17:0997.
17:09Yay!
17:13Is it going to work?
17:14Oh!
17:19OK, number two.
17:20Chris, I have The Dog That Looks Like Jack Nicholson.
17:23Oh!
17:25I've got Jon Cleeds Reads a Book in a Variety of Funny Voices.
17:28Yay!
17:30Who's that again?
17:31Jon Cleeds Reads a Book in a Variety of Funny Voices.
17:34Fun factor, 82.
17:36Ah, 78.
17:38Yay!
17:40Mark woke first, perhaps because he was in a strange bed.
17:44He turned over and looked at Elizabeth.
17:47She never wore makeup, and she was just as beautiful in the morning
17:52as she was on the side of the dinner table.
17:55Her dark hair.
17:56Caled in towards the chef.
17:58Yay!
17:59And he spoke to some.
18:01Ah, gym lads, you see, go brush your teeth.
18:04What a romantic way to start the day, he said.
18:08He's poking his parrot.
18:11That'll lose, Jon.
18:11No, that'll lose, that'll lose.
18:13Can we have a ding, ding, ding, ding, ding?
18:15All right, it's one all.
18:16OK, go on.
18:18The man with an extremely hairy back.
18:20Oh!
18:22I love a hairy back.
18:23No one wants to see that, but everybody wants to see
18:25Peter O'Toole covers you in gravy.
18:28Yes!
18:29I love it!
18:30Fun factor, fun factor, 92.
18:32Oh.
18:3399.
18:34Yay!
18:36Could it be long before Daddy roamed...
18:39Oh.
18:41It's two-handed to form gaunt in which he was neither solvent
18:45nor popular.
18:46The wine.
18:48No, not long.

21:31plugs in as possible because i know you need them thank you very much now do you know what do
21:35you
21:35know what tom was i've got a question for you do you know what tom was no tom is a
21:40lot of things
21:40but do you know what he was do you know what he was do you know what you were what
21:45was i you
21:46were a friend of elvis presley's yeah i mean you know how did that happen well i met him in
21:5565 when
21:56i when i went to los angeles yeah i went to paramount studios to do um to talk about a
22:02song for a movie
22:03and elvis was there at the time and um uh the fella that i went with he said you know
22:08elvis presley
22:09is going to be at paramount studios and uh he'd like to meet you so i was knocked sideways because
22:14uh growing up in the 50s i was a teenager in the 50s elvis you know uh was the one
22:19so um
22:21i met him on on on the set in paramount and and i had a single out at the time
22:25called
22:26with these hands it was a ballad it was my third record that's i only had three singles out in
22:3265 and when elvis was walking towards me he was singing with these hands you're joking it's
22:37honestly how did you feel at that moment tremendous it was it was in the other words
22:41did i know that he did oh yeah he knew the words sure and is that what he said when
22:44when when he
22:45met me he said how the hell do you sing like that and i said well you were partly to
22:48blame because you
22:49know listening this is blame listening to you well of course if you want to call how close were you
22:53in
22:53the end were you very close yeah we got very close yeah is it true that he used to use
22:56um delilah to warm up
22:58yes he did yeah yeah he said if he could if he could sing along with with my recording of
23:03delilah
23:03then he knew that he was ready for for the show so um but when i first met him he
23:09had bought the
23:09three as i said i only had three singles out it's not unusual what's the pussycat with these hands
23:13and he had all three and i had one album and he had that so it was um how did
23:19he find out about you
23:19where did he discover you well yeah on the radio when when they started playing it's not unusual was
23:24the first one so they it was a big hit in the states you know as well as here you
23:27know there's
23:28all those theories about the fact that he's not dead and he's uh spotted in a book he's in grimsby
23:31and all that i mean do you know what it can you can you sort of enlighten us is he
23:35still around is
23:36he hiding in your cupboard does he come save the summer he's he's dead he's gone yeah he's gone but
23:40they say the legend lives on well definitely i mean it's do you do a little uh elvis tom at
23:45all do i do
23:46do you do a little bit well no i i mean i used to when i started singing you know
23:57i mean everybody
23:58did a bit of elvis i think you could just snore your lip and do a little bit of i
24:03got i got the
24:05hand i'll try to help with this one's for the girls sure yeah when elvis spoke he always did this
24:09with his any yeah like that fantastic hey well you know um your voice is so strong yeah so did
24:17you ever worry that one morning you're going to wake up and it's just going to disappear because
24:20you never give it 90 you always give it 110 don't you yeah i give it as much as i
24:24possibly can well
24:25when i got up this morning i thought oh you know because this is it this is the day well
24:28not really
24:29the day but um you know with this cold it's it's sort of taking the edge off a little bit
24:32frank sinatra
24:33once frank sinatra ladies elvis president frank sinatra frank sinatra once warned you to take it easy
24:38didn't he yes he did what did he say well he said if you if you carry on singing like
24:42like you
24:43are yeah you won't be able to talk in about 10 years and when was that oh that's 30 years
24:47brilliant tom jones all right our next guests are the king and queen of the ranch and the king and
24:55queen of our hearts they are starring in dutton ranch which begins next friday on paramount plus

25:22it's very it's very yee-haw how are you kelly i'm good how are you cole good good oh my
25:28gosh
25:29some people haven't seen yellowstone why were you born no um but for those of us who have it's it's
25:36one of the greatest tv shows ever it's just amazing the fact that we're starting again in a completely
25:41different place new world new characters new everything felt like it's a gift we're actors
25:46we want to go to work and do stuff that we love and we do as cole yeah when she's
25:52giving it all the
25:53beth right yeah what's it like what's it like to face that well i have three sisters
26:00i've told her this for a very long time i have uh three very mean sisters at times right and
26:06they uh
26:06they go off and they they get crazy and i usually just smile at them yeah and usually it's like
26:11we call it in america's you know water off a duck's ass yeah yeah because we say water off a
26:16duck's back
26:17not anymore we don't not anymore um so so as an ensemble you know and the the old sort of
26:23leader
26:24of the guard was was kevin costner um you two are now in the middle uh but of course very
26:29quickly in
26:30episode one not only do we have beth and rip back but we have added ed harris and annette benning
26:43listen for me you know ed and annette i've been watching since i was a young boy yeah so to
26:47have
26:48them on the show at first for me was i think i said this the other day to kelly there
26:52was this bar
26:53scene where he's there and she walks me in and there's ed harris sitting at the bar and i'm
26:58thinking this is my first scene with ed harris and i was like wow this is amazing he is the
27:02coolest
27:02person i think i've ever met he is he's very just well he is he has to be a badass
27:07and then that has
27:07to be a badass and of course they are and they can do it yeah they can of course they
27:11can do and
27:11i don't mean that in any kind of sort of facetious way no but um and then you as little
27:16kelly riley
27:16yeah but big beth dutton yeah you have to go and slug it out line for line very early on
27:23with
27:23annette benning the new rival feudal ranch owner she is so excited i'm speaking fluent yellowstone you are
27:30sorry i love it i can only apologize no she is she is my worthy adversary and she is so
27:37fun to work
27:38with because she's naughty and she's playful and she's she's always flirting with him and every scene
27:42she's with them in and she's just she's just delicious oh how much of rip does your husband
27:46in real life have about him does he have any rip in him oh yeah i mean yeah i mean
27:51he's man
27:51oh he's a man yeah he's my man he's an american man yeah he's a he's quiet you know but
27:59he's
27:59you know there there's definitely you know there's definitely a crossover carl's carl's the man okay
28:06and you met him in texas i did actually but he wasn't from texas you just thought he must be
28:11because
28:11he's he's in texas you have done your research my goodness i thought he was i yeah i met him
28:16at his
28:16brother's wedding i was a plus one of didn't know anybody i basically gate crashed a wedding and fell
28:21in love with the best man right your honeymoon was very yellow stoney yeah it was we went to montana
28:27we were literally at a ranch i wanted to go riding in montana uh did you know this this is
28:32like 2012
28:332012 and it was over the bitter room yeah too much um but yeah so uh it was literally and
28:39i
28:39remember saying to kyle i got god i wouldn't it be amazing to come to work in a place like
28:45this i
28:45was working at the time in a back lot in brooklyn and then it's not the same i said wouldn't
28:49it be
28:49great to go to work in such beautiful nature and pretty cool yeah and didn't you ride for hours
28:56and hours through montana yeah yeah and this is so this was five years before yellowstone how mad is

29:24it's not on you she won't have fun with anyone
29:30when i see you having a pot with anyone
29:35it's not unusual
29:38it's not unusual to be sad with anyone
29:43and if i ever find that you've changed at any time
29:48it's not unusual to find that i'm in love with you
29:56tom jones there singing the punchline to one of my favorite jokes both just the doctors he says
30:01doctor doctor i keep feeling like tom jones he says it's not unusual

32:17she doesn't usually ask for permission
32:18so um the tfi 10 years ago yes yes when amanda siegfried and i were behind the bar
32:25yes yes in the hottest building that was ever pretty hot i mean
32:29it was absolutely extraordinary that night that was the night of my life
32:33i ended up in um ricky wilson's flat
32:37with alex jones
32:40and uh and i think will was with us maybe
32:43wasn't there a missing dog or something there was a missing dog
32:46cathy freud's dog got went missing and we were all looking for it
32:49thank you for mentioning this yes and and and i realized when i got home
32:53at what time uh 6 30 a.m
32:58you left early
32:59yes it made me realize that i while i absolutely loved being in telly showbiz was not for me
33:07i mean when when when at the point uh where we got to ricky's flat i mean it was it
33:13was just
33:13extraordinary there was so much of that night were you part had you gone home when we were
33:18looking for the dog yes i had yes but here's the thing at the time i lived around the corner
33:23and i could hear you looking for the dog honestly and so could the rest of primrose
33:29yes yes yes and by the way they found the dog
33:33yes yes guess what's just happened no kelly riley is listening to the show she's so she's so
33:39desperate to talk to you she's phoned in honestly do you want to talk to bear i'm so thrilled to
33:45hear that that i just well i don't know if these headphones will reach um if we swap if we
33:49swap
33:49places they were yeah yeah absolutely 100 percent yeah i've gone scarlet in the face yeah go on
33:56so excited so you're on with kelly riley kelly i'm so sorry that i didn't get to meet you i
34:00was
34:00waiting at the bottom of the lift and i can't believe phil was late
34:09kelly surprisingly i can believe phil was late it happens a lot can you just stop beating up on phil
34:14for heaven's sake um i just have to congratulate you on being amazing it's such a complex role and
34:22you do it so brilliantly and it is that's so kind of you it's just fantastic but let me tell
34:28you i
34:28wanted to meet you i'm a big lucky oh phil just come oh now it is your fault oh well
34:36i'm just so
34:37touched that you called in and anyway i'll let you go have a lovely day bye
34:44that's best
34:55well no one time i came in you had idris elba in the studio and i lost the power of
35:00speech
35:00oh brilliant kirsty and phil you got kirsty on the front of kelly because kelly was on with cole so
35:07that's beth and rick one tv couple and then you got kirstyville two tv couples in a moment i'm going
35:12to be with share share's gonna be on the show as our third couple but before all that some more
35:18tfi
35:19gone here we are with rod stewart
35:44oh
35:46oh
35:53so you're gonna get some air conditioning so rod yeah football star or rock star
35:59probably rock star because i'd have been finished as a footballer at 53 at 53 yeah but you know i
36:04still play i still play a great deal and you play very well i do you played with me once
36:08i played
36:08terribly you got the real night with me didn't you that day well it always go for the obvious pass
36:13but
36:13you tried to loft one about 20 yards it finished up in the car park no i know i know
36:17and you'd have
36:18done something with it and i didn't give it to you but you had trials for brentford didn't you
36:21yeah a long time ago did you play for brentford reserves yeah that's about as close as i got
36:25but how passionate are you about football if you're not doing your music is that the number one thing
36:28obviously apart from rachel yeah the wife does uh take the number one spot but uh yeah it is it's
36:33uh
36:34it is goalie you mean no no she's she actually doesn't come and watch me play anymore she's bored
36:40with it yeah she's seen me play once and that was it i can't believe you're 53 years old i
36:44didn't know
36:45that so when we played it at wembley together afterwards you you you were in the in the changing
36:51rooms and you know you got your hair dry out and you did all the thing like you do after
36:55wembley
36:55and you bent over so it goes all up and like you do it you're gonna get it up right
37:00there
37:00no full patches we couldn't believe it and you also get the face cream going which is important
37:05yeah all of you like boys it does work though doesn't in the bottom line it does you know why
37:10don't we use it why do we all look dragging the lads no one looks good here tonight nice lighting
37:14so you've got your own football even teddy looks good teddy looks great
37:18so you've got your own football pitch in your garden yeah yeah how often do you play on your
37:22football pitch have you got a team yeah we've got a team a lot of really good players actually
37:25good quality but uh the pitch is just fabulous it's the same size as wembley and it's dead
37:31flat and if you can't play on that you can't play anywhere well i still probably wouldn't be able
37:34to play on that no you've got to come down and play i mean we had liverpool come down and
37:37train
37:37newcastle have been down in your back garden yeah and i'm never there because i'm in the states you
37:41know so let me get this right so you so you're so you're so you're so you're so you're a
37:45world wide
37:45rock star you're married to rachel hunter and you've got a football pitch in your own back garden
37:48that's pretty good yeah it's not bad is it at all but now and again things do come around the
37:53corner
37:53that you don't expect and you have to deal with them like a trolley bus like a trolley bus or
37:57like
37:58last night which was a which was a bit of a night wasn't it just a wonderful night i love
38:02that guy so
38:02much so tell everybody i didn't love him at wembley when he scored that goal against scotland but
38:06as a human being they don't come better now you're talking about paul gascoigne no so you're looking
38:14forward to um to tomorrow uh what the uh the f8 cup no the scottish cup yeah i mean i'm
38:23a celtic
38:23man so of course i want to see rangers get beat but you've sorted yourself out already because you've
38:27won the you've won the um premiership yeah and the coca-cola so we had two trophies this year and
38:31we
38:31lose our manager so you're all right what's it all about up there so so what is the scottish thing
38:35about
38:35you because i'm not i'm not a great historian as far as this is concerned you are absolutely
38:38scottish no no no no do i sound scottish not at all my dad's was a scott he's gone upstairs
38:43now to the
38:44big football stadium in the world in the sky and uh he always told me and my two brothers everything
38:49about scottish football from george young billy liddle all the great players and it just just goes
38:55through our blood we just believe scottish football is fabulous so you are genuine genuinely we never win
38:59anything the scottish national team it's just we're proud of ourselves do you think ali mccoy should be in
39:03the scottish side yes absolutely and why isn't he in the scottish side absolutely because we're
39:07lacking strikers as it is you know and i think like gaza is to the english team he is to
39:12the scots he
39:13just rallies the guys up winds them up and they go out and play better now we've got to talk
39:16we've got
39:17to talk a bit about music i've talked about about football about football all night and got lots of
39:21fans teddy sharing was a massive fan of your music and you as a guy and you've got a brilliant
39:26new album
39:26out i just want to play a bit of your new song now can i just ask you why you
39:29didn't sing this song
39:29why don't you sing for us tonight on the show oh i think there's been a bit of a with
39:33the uh record
39:33label i'd have done it you know that well we wanted you to do it yeah because you didn't think
39:37i
39:37wanted to do you to sing i'd love to that's a great good stage down there eat for your mom
39:43for my mom
39:45my mom's here tonight is it true is it true that you sang to gaza's dad down the phone last
40:02night

41:56Are you watching this show in bed?
41:58Are you? Alright
42:00Because if you are, you might confuse the next bit
42:02For your own reflection and your own telly
42:04Apart from the fact it's me and Sharon
