00:00Just got back from the Farrah by-election down there where we had a pretty decisive victory.
00:05We're still sitting over about 40% of the primary vote, which are sort of numbers that we're not used
00:10to seeing from anyone at the moment.
00:13The political climate is changing and it's a result of a lot of hard work by the campaign team and
00:21the federal team and the volunteers.
00:23And this is, it's no fluke. I think you're going to see results like this right across rural Australia and
00:30in particular rural New South Wales in the upcoming elections next year in 2027.
00:38So there's a lot of, you know, angst out there in the communities and people are feeling neglected.
00:45They're feeling left behind and they know that the Liberal National Party have had a go.
00:50And they're actually a lot of the reason why we're in the situation that we're in currently is because of
00:55the policies that they've implemented and what the Labor Party are continuing to do to Western New South Wales.
01:03So those guys, they better watch out because we're coming for them in Western Sydney.
01:08We've got our eyes on that as well. Barnaby Joyce has mentioned it.
01:12He said we're coming for those Labor seats in Western New South Wales as well.
01:16So people are feeling the pinch and I believe that the next election is going to be a referendum on
01:24the economy, a referendum on the electricity grid.
01:29And yeah, we'll see what happens.
01:32But I think this is a change, a seismic shift in the political landscape of Australia.
01:40Definitely. And look, that's why I chose to travel down to Farrah and I also went down to South Australia
01:45to see, you know, we get isolated, we get in our little boxes and we go to work and we
01:51go home and we get in our own little community and we don't realise that everywhere else is not like
01:55us, you know.
01:57But going down there, there are a lot of similarities between those communities down there, those rural communities and where
02:04we did well in South Australia, the rural communities there as well.
02:07A lot of similarities, there's a lot of overlap and people annoyed and frustrated about the same things, I guess.
02:15And a lot of it is their wages are going up but nowhere near as fast as the prices and
02:22the prices are housing and they're not seeing a future for their kids.
