Steven Sharif, the head of Intrepid Studios, refutes accusations of personal misuse of company funds intended for the development of 'Ashes of Creation.' The claims, which surfaced online, allege spending on cigars, private chefs, and more.

00:00Two months ago, Kickstarter MMO Ashes of Creation hit a brick wall.
00:03Its entire team was laid off, and development was cancelled.

00:09An investor in the game, Jason Karamanis, accused studio founder Stephen Sharif of taking millions
00:13meant for the studio and spending it on himself.
00:16Then a YouTuber named Nefas QS claimed he had obtained the studio's general ledger,
00:21alleging Sharif used funds on a private chef, cigars, trading card websites, and so on.
00:26Sharif has since come out and claimed assertions regarding a lavish lifestyle or personal misuse
00:31of company funds are categorically false.
00:33Nefas QS has been fed false and defamatory information by individuals with an axe to grind, said Sharif.
00:38These issues are being addressed through the legal process.
