"In my mind, he's second only to Jock Stein as far as his achievements." — Peter Martin. The Football Show breaks down the most consequential weekend of the Scottish football season. Old Firm Sunday at Celtic Park with Celtic's slim title hopes hanging by a thread. Hearts can wrap up their first league title since 1959-60 with a result at Motherwell. And the Football Show panel makes the case that if Martin O'Neill saves Celtic a second time and wins a league from nowhere, he goes down as the greatest Celtic manager since Jock Stein.
Peter Martin: "Martin O'Neill was a Celtic legend and, as I said, if he pulls this off — if he comes back and saves Celtic a second time and wins a league from nowhere — then he goes down in the history books as probably second only to Jock Stein."
Plus the panel goes deep on Danny Rohl's Rangers future amid Wolfsburg interest, the unusual 8pm Saturday Hearts vs Motherwell kick-off, the Maeda factor in Sunday's Old Firm, and Tam McManus's reveal that one of his own goals was voted the second-best in SPL history.
🔴 OLD FIRM SUNDAY 10 MAY:
Celtic vs Rangers, 12:00 BST kick-off at Celtic Park. Celtic need a win to stay alive — Rangers can effectively end Hearts' title push with three points.
🟢 MOTHERWELL VS HEARTS — 8PM SATURDAY:
"Could be a defining weekend for the league" — Hearts can clinch their first Scottish Premiership since 1959-60 (66 years). The panel debates the unusual Saturday-night kick-off and what it means for fans.
⚫ MARTIN O'NEILL — SECOND ONLY TO JOCK STEIN?
Peter Martin makes the historical case: "In the modern day, post-war, I think he's second only to Jock Stein for his achievements." If O'Neill rescues Celtic from this season AND wins the league from nowhere, where does he sit in the Celtic-manager pantheon?
🇩🇪 DANNY ROHL'S FUTURE AS RANGERS MANAGER:
The Bundesliga link is real. Rohl has dismissed it ("My full focus is on Rangers") but the panel question whether he can survive an Old Firm loss — and whether Rangers fans even want him to.
⚽ THE MAEDA FACTOR:
"Maeda over the last couple of years put a lot of fear into the Rangers defenders. The Maeda one will cause fear into that Rangers defence." — the Football Show panel on why Daizen Maeda is the player Rangers most need to handle on Sunday.
🏆 LAST-DAY DECIDER SCENARIOS:
"The dreaded scenario for Hearts is one point in it and Celtic against Hearts being the last game." Plus a midweek Falkirk fixture for Hearts that adds another twist.

00:00:00On PLZ Soccer's YouTube channel, I'm Peter Martin, Alan Oph and Tam McManus are here with me.
00:00:05We've got lots to talk about and thank you to you for joining us.
00:00:08And of course, we will mention some of your opinions on a weekend,
00:00:12which again is going to be super exciting, Saturday and Sunday.
00:00:18Who's going to win that title? Who's going to be in that playoff place?
00:00:21We're only now looking at three games left. Who's got the mental strength?
00:00:26Well, we're going to ask the questions, is it a last hurrah for Martin O'Neill in his final Old
00:00:31Firm match in charge on Sunday at high noon?
00:00:34Danny Roll has his sights set on next season in charge of Rangers,
00:00:37despite all the speculation linking him with a Bundesliga club or indeed possibly not being there just as the manager.
00:00:44You can give us your thoughts on that.
00:00:46Derek McInnes has defiantly claimed Harps have the mental strength to win the league.
00:00:51What do you think?
00:00:51And Marvin Bartley leaves Livingston after the goalposts were moved on his position at the club.
00:00:58We'll discuss that as well as Scott Arfield takes temporary charge of Levy.
00:01:02They'll be in the championship next season.
00:01:05So we'll discuss that as well.
00:01:07As ever, lots to talk about.
00:01:10And we've got Ruffy in fine fettle.
00:01:15Looking forward to a weekend of some fantastic football.
00:01:19Nothing better than a Celtic Rangers match to look forward to, Ruffy.
00:01:23Fantastic with everything that's at stake.
00:01:27Obviously, both of them haven't been at their best this year.
00:01:30But any Old Firm game always throws up something to chat about.
00:01:34And I don't think this will be any different.
00:01:36Yeah, Motherwell Hearts we're certainly looking forward to.
00:01:38It's an unusual time.
00:01:39Eight o'clock, Tam.
00:01:40If there's one key element of this season that I think has frustrated a lot of football supporters
00:01:46is the games have been moved to some of the most outrageous times.
00:01:50I don't mind it, Peter.
00:01:52No?
00:01:52I don't mind an eight o'clock kick-up on a Saturday.
00:01:53That's because you're not covering them.
00:01:54Yeah.
00:01:55I don't think the fans would either.
00:01:57I think a wee away trip for the Hearts fans.
00:01:59Eight o'clock on a Saturday night.
00:02:00You can get in the boozer all day and have a drink and then go to the game.
00:02:03So, no, it's something different.
00:02:05Friday night games, maybe eight o'clock.
00:02:07You know, Saturday night.
00:02:08I think there was even a Sunday night game.
00:02:10And obviously the Monday one a couple of weeks ago with Hearts and Rangers.
00:02:13So, I just think they're trying to tap into maybe a different audience.
00:02:16Maybe abroad.
00:02:17Americans or the Far East.
00:02:20And try to get Scottish football out to a bigger audience.
00:02:23Yeah, well, it's all about the dosh.
00:02:25We've had the excitement.
00:02:26Maybe not the quality that we were all looking for when you consider other leagues.
00:02:30And, of course, some of the games that we've witnessed.
00:02:33But, nevertheless, it's exciting.
00:02:35What do you think of it?
00:02:36Who's going to win the league?
00:02:38And Hearts will be champions on Wednesday, says Dante Friend.
00:02:42Could be a defining weekend for the league, says Brian as well.
00:02:47And, also, Danny Hitchings has nailed it, Ruffy.
00:02:50Tam singing the Hearts song as well, Peter.
00:02:53Don't forget.
00:02:54I'm not singing that.
00:02:55I don't think that's quite catchy.
00:02:57I hadn't heard that for a long, long time.
00:02:59I thought it was really catchy.
00:03:00What?
00:03:01The Hearts song.
00:03:02Yeah, they hadn't heard that for a long time.
00:03:03No, the three verses.
00:03:04I never heard three verses.
00:03:05I've heard the first verse.
00:03:07Yeah.
00:03:07I've never heard the other two.
00:03:08I think they were great.
00:03:09I'd have been down the tunnel anyway.
00:03:11It was that.
00:03:12Well, the first one finished.
00:03:14Yeah.
00:03:15What's another?
00:03:16I think they're great credit to them.
00:03:18They're pulling out all the stops.
00:03:19And, I just think that if they do win it, then the merch alone is going to be unbelievable in
00:03:27the summer.
00:03:28And, they will be selling every commemorative thing you can think of.
00:03:31Yeah, the club shop will get emptied, Peter.
00:03:33And, so, they're superstore.
00:03:35So, yeah, there's a bit to go.
00:03:37But, they're in the driving seat.
00:03:38I think if they can bet our Celtics result over the weekend, you know, they've got a real opportunity to
00:03:43go and win the league on the Wednesday night, I think, against Falkirk at home.
00:03:46So, it's...
00:03:47We've been saying it for two or three weeks.
00:03:49Oh, this is a pivotal weekend.
00:03:50This is a pivotal weekend.
00:03:51But, Hearts keep grinding out results.
00:03:53And, if they grind out another one on Saturday night, then I think they're going to win the league.
00:03:55Yeah.
00:03:56Okay.
00:03:57Listen, we've got our quiz, courtesy of the Elite Joinery and Fire Protection.
00:04:03Of course, we had some fantastic shows this week.
00:04:06We didn't have you at one of them because you were hobnobbing it.
00:04:10How did it go?
00:04:11How did you go at, was it Glen Eagles?
00:04:14Glen Eagles, Paul and Damien.
00:04:16That's all right, isn't it?
00:04:17Me and my pal were five up after six holes and we thought we were not going to get invited
00:04:20back.
00:04:21So, we eased off the gas and we rope-a-doped him into the last couple of holes and ended
00:04:26up winning.
00:04:26But, two great guys and looking forward to seeing them in a couple of weeks at your Champions League night
00:04:31as well.
00:04:31And two good golfers as well.
00:04:33So, we need to get a wee invite down to their office where they've got a simulator and all that.
00:04:38Yes.
00:04:38Because, supposedly, they're never at it.
00:04:40I don't know if they've got the work done.
00:04:41Would you do that, Ruffey?
00:04:42Yeah, I'd be right.
00:04:43Yeah, I'm quite happy with that.
00:04:44Not a lot of walking involved.
00:04:46You just hit the bottom of the screen.
00:04:47Yeah.
00:04:48The other thing about it, Ruffey, is...
00:04:49You'd be chipping with your putter.
00:04:50Well, Tam and I will be going to, you won't be going to, because, quite simply, the last
00:04:55time I set up a deal for you to get yourself a driver, you went and hit the ball for
00:05:00an
00:05:01hour, done your knee in, you haven't played tennis since, and our team has suffered because
00:05:05you've not come back.
00:05:06Well, I thought you did particularly well last year, did you know?
00:05:09We did well last year.
00:05:10He's struggling this year.
00:05:11From last year.
00:05:12From last year.
00:05:13You played the Clarkson, they're the good side.
00:05:15And the White Craigs also are very, very good, so, no, I thought you were doing all right.
00:05:19Yeah, we've got some good players, but it would have been nice to have the old lefty there,
00:05:22but obviously, something that Derek McInnes has mentioned, that the Hearts players have,
00:05:27is a strong mentality.
00:05:29In contrast, Ruffey's with us here without any of those qualities whatsoever.
00:05:34And, of course, somebody will come in, somebody's going to text in and say,
00:05:40Peter, you're nothing but an arrogant bee.
00:05:41Yeah, it's not giving Ruffey abuse.
00:05:43God, you give Ruffey filters.
00:05:45Terrible.
00:05:45Anyway.
00:05:47Legend of the game, I know.
00:05:48Exactly.
00:05:49McKenna says, 100% effort from every Hearts player from now on.
00:05:52You are 100% right.
00:05:55Smell the Glove says, don't mind the Saturday night games.
00:05:58Good atmosphere as well.
00:05:59And thanks to George, who says, I was at the Beats and Cancer charity night last night
00:06:03in Glasgow.
00:06:04Thoroughly enjoyed it.
00:06:05It was a fantastic night.
00:06:07Beats and Cancer charity, it raised £200,000.
00:06:11Ruffey for the charity.
00:06:14I was hosting it with Brian O'Driscoll, the Ireland, British and Irish lines, and Leinster
00:06:21legend.
00:06:22He was top drawer.
00:06:23I remember seeing a documentary of him.
00:06:26It was on the teller.
00:06:27I don't know who it was with, BBC or something.
00:06:28And it was about the two divides of Ireland, obviously north and south, and how in certain regions
00:06:36they are better against each other.
00:06:38But when the rugby comes, they're all united.
00:06:42Yeah.
00:06:42And he was going round all the wee counties and everything, getting up views on how it was
00:06:46going, and he was top class.
00:06:48Yeah.
00:06:48He was really good.
00:06:49He is.
00:06:49Good fun.
00:06:51Lots of good stories.
00:06:52And of course, the other thing about it, and again, you know, but possibly not ideal to
00:06:58talk to you about it, Tam, but it's unbelievable when you talk to sportsmen who are legends,
00:07:06the absolute top of their game, you know, just phenomenal.
00:07:11I mean, this guy is going to go down in history as one of the greatest rugby players ever.
00:07:14I mean, I've had the good fortune to have Roy Keane on the one-to-one there, phenomenal
00:07:19player, Tyson Fury.
00:07:21These guys, the psychology and the mentality of them is, that's, I think, the margins when
00:07:29you've got that belief, a Roger Federer, you know, a Djokovic, you know, a Michael Jordan.
00:07:34You've got to have that mentality when the big moments come, the clutch moments that you
00:07:39can deliver.
00:07:40And I suppose the Hearts players will need to, they'll be tested to the full this weekend
00:07:44on that.
00:07:44Yeah, they will.
00:07:46They're tantalisingly close now to win the league championship, and they've got three games
00:07:51left.
00:07:51They've been there all season.
00:07:53I don't think, if Hearts don't win the league, I don't think it'll be because they've bottled
00:07:57it.
00:07:57They'll maybe just, they'll be good enough in the end, but, you know, they've been there
00:08:01all season to be shot at, and they're still there.
00:08:04Huge game on Saturday night away to Motherwell, who've obviously still got ambitions themselves
00:08:08of getting into the top four, and if Hearts win, it piles the pressure onto Celtic on the
00:08:14Sunday, so it's another big weekend.
00:08:18But as I said to you, I think if Hearts win the next two games, I don't see them being
00:08:21caught.
00:08:22I did mention Elite joinery and fire protection for the quiz, and with Aston Villa defeating
00:08:27Norringham Forest in the semi-final of the Europa League, they are now going to go into
00:08:31another European final, which is easy for Unai Emery.
00:08:35Not for Villa, though.
00:08:36It's been a long time since they were in a European final.
00:08:39In fact, it was 1982.
00:08:41They played against Bayern Munich.
00:08:43Can you tell us the goal scorer for Aston Villa to win them the European Cup in 1982?
00:08:49Do you know that, Ruffy?
00:08:51Do you?
00:08:51Yeah.
00:08:53I know.
00:08:53I'll take a guess at the blonde-headed boy, Shaw.
00:08:57Gary Shaw was a great player.
00:08:58I think Gary Shaw's no longer with us.
00:09:00I think he's sadly passed away.
00:09:01He hasn't had the great privilege of being with him in a football tournament in Mauritius.
00:09:07He was over there in the team, and he's good company.
00:09:09Really good company.
00:09:10Yeah.
00:09:12Some of these players sadly passed away.
00:09:13I'll tell you, there's another player who played for Hibs who was in that side.
00:09:17Do you remember him?
00:09:18It's Bremner.
00:09:19Brilliant, Ruffy.
00:09:19You're on for him today, by the way.
00:09:21Absolutely magnificent.
00:09:22It's his era, isn't it?
00:09:23Yeah.
00:09:23It's your era.
00:09:24Oh, is that right?
00:09:24Don't batter him, by the way.
00:09:25No, no.
00:09:26I'm just saying it.
00:09:27He's quite comfortable in the 70s, 80s.
00:09:29Do you know the guy who scored it?
00:09:31No.
00:09:32No.
00:09:32Okay.
00:09:33Cervins.
00:09:33Eh?
00:09:34Cervins, Gordon Cervins.
00:09:35That's a good point as well.
00:09:35That's a good shoot.
00:09:36That's a great shoot, but wrong.
00:09:38I'll give you the answer.
00:09:40I'll give you the answer at the end of the programme, to be honest with you.
00:09:44Okay.
00:09:44Give us your thoughts.
00:09:46Who is, and by the way, a brilliant line here.
00:09:49It's the first time ever that Brian has said the camera person who's operating our cameras
00:09:53has fallen asleep.
00:09:55You see, that's what happens.
00:09:56If anybody switches off at any point, they're all over it like a rash.
00:10:00So, let's talk about the games.
00:10:03I'm going to give you your option here, Ravi.
00:10:04Which one do you want to talk about first?
00:10:06Celtic Rangers or Motherwell against Hearts?
00:10:08Motherwell Hearts is on the Saturday night at 8.
00:10:11Well, I think Celtic Rangers is the first one, isn't it?
00:10:13But, you know, I think whatever happens there, we'll have a lasting fact on that game on
00:10:19the Sunday night.
00:10:20You know, that obviously pressure, a wee bit, not as much pressure, obviously, if Celtic
00:10:25win the game.
00:10:26Interesting to see what Team Rangers put out.
00:10:29I think Celtic fans will be interested to see what Team Celtic put out.
00:10:33But certainly in the evidence of last week, I think the omission of Alistair Johnson was
00:10:38a big, big plus for Celtic.
00:10:41Inclusion.
00:10:42Inclusion.
00:10:42I think they'll still go to assess who that striker is at home, in particular who's going
00:10:47to score the goals.
00:10:48But it's going to be tight.
00:10:50I don't think Rangers and Celtic are going to get into the game in any great form at all.
00:10:53But it'll always be a tense game.
00:10:56Yeah, I noticed that John Harsin has said that, you know, Martin O'Neill, he'll be
00:11:04legendary status up there with Jock Steen if he can pull off this title win.
00:11:09He has to defeat Rangers.
00:11:11In my mind, he's second only to Jock Steen as far as his achievements.
00:11:17Now, I know some people will say, well, wait a minute.
00:11:19You know, you've got to go back and look at some of the other managers in the early
00:11:23period, Jimmy McGrory as well.
00:11:25But in the modern day, post-war, I think he's second only to Jock Steen for his achievements.
00:11:31He was within a whisker of landing a European trophy himself in his first stint.
00:11:37Yeah, I think over the course, these two stints, Peter, obviously, you know, the first
00:11:41stint, Rangers were very strong as well.
00:11:42It was a very strong league.
00:11:43I was fortunate to play in about that time as well.
00:11:45And Celtic were excellent.
00:11:46Very, very good side.
00:11:48Obviously spent a few quid and got to a European final.
00:11:51You know, in the second spell, his points record is incredible as well.
00:11:55So, no, I'd agree with you.
00:11:57I think the only one in the modern era would maybe be Brendan Rodgers.
00:12:00But that would be the only argument.
00:12:02I can't think of anyone over the last 25, 30, 40 years that's done as well as Martin
00:12:08Neill at Celtic.
00:12:09I don't think too many people will be quoting him in this category, to be honest with you.
00:12:13They might look at some of his achievements with the treble.
00:12:17And, you know, I think there's maybe just still that pain from a few Celtic fans with
00:12:23him at the moment.
00:12:25But, you know, realistically, he's got to be up there.
00:12:27Oh, Brendan would be up there as well.
00:12:28I think his record at Celtic was incredible.
00:12:31So, but Martin Neill is a Celtic legend.
00:12:34And as you said, if he pulls this off, if he comes back and saves Celtic a second time
00:12:38and wins the league from nowhere, really, then you go down in the history books as probably
00:12:45only second only to Jock's team.
00:12:46Yeah.
00:12:47Ruffy, Maida, fit to play.
00:12:50So he looks as if he's got near enough all guns blazing.
00:12:53I don't think he'll start with Iheanacho again.
00:12:56I think he'll probably look to Maida and then Iheanacho and James Forrest as a supporting
00:13:01cast if it's not going according to plan.
00:13:04Well, he seems to stick with the success and that's the way it seems to be going.
00:13:09He seems to be leaving it to the 65 minutes and if things aren't going particularly well,
00:13:13he knows he's got guys there that can come on and affect the game.
00:13:16But Maida is a big one for me.
00:13:18I think Maida over the last couple of years put a lot of fear into the Rangers defenders.
00:13:24I don't think they like playing against that kind of player.
00:13:27The guy who's got so much pace, they're not dealing with a big bustling centre forward.
00:13:32You know who they can knock about.
00:13:34So the Maida one will cause fear into that Rangers defence.
00:13:39As far as the team selection, is it bog standard, Tam?
00:13:43Is it what we would expect?
00:13:46Is there any changes?
00:13:47I mean, Johnson's obviously going to play now.
00:13:49He's been a welcome return for Celtic fans.
00:13:53Is there any other changes that you envisage in that Celtic line-up or do you think it's
00:13:59as predicted?
00:14:00Yeah, I think it'll be something similar to the house game, Peter.
00:14:03I think Alistair Johnson, if he's fit, definitely plays Tierney on the other side.
00:14:07He plays Scales and Trusty.
00:14:10Middle of the park, I think it'll be Engels, McGregor.
00:14:15The only other one you could maybe think is Hitati.
00:14:17He's a big game player.
00:14:17I know he's been out of the team, Peter, but in terms of games and goals against Rangers,
00:14:21he might just...
00:14:22He's not going to start them.
00:14:23Yeah, that'll be the only one for me.
00:14:25Engels, McGregor, Negrin.
00:14:27Negrin.
00:14:27And then...
00:14:30I think he'll keep Meadier through the middle.
00:14:31He's been playing well through the middle.
00:14:32And he'll play Yang on one side and possibly Tenectier-Forest on the other side.
00:14:37But yeah, I don't think it will deviate too far from that.
00:14:41But yeah, Meadier's hitting form at the right time for Celtic.
00:14:44And as I said, he's got great experience at scoring goals against Rangers in the past.
00:14:48So it all kind of depends on the night before, I think.
00:14:52You know, if Hearts win, then obviously Celtic have to win.
00:14:57If Hearts get beat, Rangers will think if we beat Celtic, we're back in with a slight sniff as well.
00:15:04You know, maybe possibly going four points behind them.
00:15:07And Celtic and Hearts playing the last day.
00:15:09You know, and Hearts potentially playing a European-chasing fall-cut team midweek.
00:15:14So I think it will add a lot more spice when you find out they're scoring Saturday night.
00:15:19Interestingly enough, that will play, I think, on the minds of everyone.
00:15:23Because it's not as if you're waiting on the tranny to find out what's going to happen.
00:15:27You'll know the situation.
00:15:29I don't think it will alter too much the way Celtic are going to go about their business, Ruffy.
00:15:35But there'll be the added incentive, I think, for the supporters going there.
00:15:38If they think Hearts have slipped up.
00:15:40And then suddenly they can chase them down.
00:15:43And I think a lot of Celtic fans that I've been speaking to, and obviously, are you tipping Hearts to
00:15:48win it now?
00:15:49Yeah, I think Hearts will win it now, Peter.
00:15:51I'm tipping Hearts.
00:15:52Who are you tipping?
00:15:52Still with Celtic.
00:15:53Oh, you're still with Celtic?
00:15:55Right, OK.
00:15:56Still plenty of time left on the show on this one.
00:15:58But I think it will alter the way they go about their business if Hearts were to slip up.
00:16:04Because many Celtic fans that I've been speaking to are saying Hearts are not going to Glasgow on the final
00:16:09day and winning.
00:16:11They're adamant that that's...
00:16:13You know, if there's a sniff of Celtic winning by defeating Hearts on the final day at Celtic Park, they
00:16:19think that's going to happen.
00:16:20Yeah, well, I don't know if you agree.
00:16:22I mean, I've said all along, home advantage in this split will be very decisive at this moment in time.
00:16:29Celtic have got two home games, one away.
00:16:32Hearts have got two away, you know, which takes away the great success that they've had at home with the
00:16:37record they've got.
00:16:38So somebody keeps telling me away from home they're not as invincible.
00:16:42So that remains to be seen.
00:16:45It's just going to be a really, really nervous weekend for everybody concerned, no matter what team you're at.
00:16:51You're going to get wee breaks here and there and that could be all you're looking for.
00:16:55But I would rather be playing home games than away games at this stage of the season.
00:17:00OK, let's talk about Rangers because the biggest line coming out of the press conference this morning is,
00:17:07you know, will you still be in charge next season?
00:17:09Because there is a growing undercurrent, Ruffey, of people thinking.
00:17:13And I've just seen a comment on the feed here, which is, you know, if Rangers lose on Sunday,
00:17:20surely the manager has to go, says Willie.
00:17:23Well, I mean, that's Rangers supporters who demand that their club win silverware every year.
00:17:29That hasn't been the case for a long, long time.
00:17:31I think these kind of Rangers supporters should just shut their eyes and think where you were at the beginning
00:17:36of the season.
00:17:37Think about the manager you had at the beginning of the season.
00:17:39Think about the team, the state the team was in.
00:17:42And then you bring this guy in and he's been a dramatic change, whether you like it or no.
00:17:47He was nowhere near challenging Hearts and Celtic.
00:17:51And now he is in that position.
00:17:53OK, he's let it slip with the games last week.
00:17:56But he's changed the whole outlook of the team.
00:17:59I'm sure the owners would be happy with what he's done.
00:18:02I know he's no one in, but they'll be happy from where they are now than where they were.
00:18:08Obviously, it has to be tweaked.
00:18:09There has to be players coming and players going.
00:18:11But I think at the end of the day, they just have to bite the bullet and say, look, look
00:18:16where we are now from where we were.
00:18:17Two things that I think will happen, Tam, if Celtic beat Rangers on Sunday, there will be a huge clamour.
00:18:24And these are the moments where I'm absolutely delighted I'm no longer involved in phone-ins, where Rangers fans will
00:18:32say, sack the manager.
00:18:33And quite simply, I have been adamant on this one.
00:18:36I think this man deserves a bit of credit for getting them within a sniff of believing there's a chance.
00:18:45Because they certainly were looking at this as a transitional season.
00:18:47I think he deserves another summer.
00:18:49I think he's got to go there and try and build for next season a real Danny Roll team.
00:18:55Some people will look at some of the signings that he's made in the window and they're not too happy
00:18:59with it.
00:18:59But I think he's given them hope that they possibly didn't think about early on in the season.
00:19:06I think that Rangers supporters are obviously seeing improvement from Rangers.
00:19:10But they will feel that in recent seasons, Rangers are a team and a club that gets so far, gets
00:19:18into a position to win the league.
00:19:21And they don't do it for whatever reason.
00:19:23Whether they get nervous, whether people say they bottle it.
00:19:27It's been the exact same under Danny Roll.
00:19:29It was Philip Clermont that should have won the league.
00:19:31Should have won the league at Rangers.
00:19:32The way they've done D, I think, and Drew and beat Ross County or vice versa.
00:19:37They should have won the league.
00:19:39I think this season when Danny Roll got Rangers into a position a couple of weeks ago.
00:19:44You know, where they're playing Motherwell at home, they've got a chance to go top of the league.
00:19:47They get beat, then they get beat away to hearts.
00:19:49Rangers fans are just thinking this manager has no good mentality like the previous ones.
00:19:53And all the Rangers supporters that I speak to are wanting one man back, and that's Steven Gerrard.
00:19:59And it's simply because he's stopped 10 there.
00:20:02He won a league championship and he's got a winning mentality.
00:20:05People argue he's only won one trophy in nine.
00:20:07I get that.
00:20:09But a lot of Rangers supporters, I think, want Steven Gerrard back.
00:20:12They'd want to see the backers, Danny Roll, if they get beaten Saturday, Sunday.
00:20:14Well, the other thing I was going to say to you on that point is that I was playing five
00:20:20-asides, six-asides this morning
00:20:22with a number of guys and quite a few pals who are Rangers fans, said to me,
00:20:28you know, you're actually, at Rangers at the moment, managers are fighting against two or three generations of Rangers fans
00:20:35who have that entitlement.
00:20:37They think that they should still be the force, the establishment club who's winning all that's before them.
00:20:45And he says that is not the way Rangers fans should be thinking about it.
00:20:50He thinks he deserves, you know, more time to get another window.
00:20:54But, you know, I think most Rangers fans can see what you've said there, which is quite simply,
00:20:59if he loses in Sunday, Ruffie, come for his head.
00:21:02And there'll be a huge, huge amount of people saying sack him.
00:21:04Yeah, there will be.
00:21:05But again, you don't know how strong these new owners are.
00:21:09You don't know what the brief was when he went in there, what they told him, what his objectives had
00:21:15to be.
00:21:16And I would have said he's not ticked all the balls.
00:21:20The boxes, but he's made a vast improvement.
00:21:23So, for me, it's up to the owners.
00:21:25You know, do they think he's done a good enough job since he's in there for where they were?
00:21:30Because they're the ones that have put the money in and they're the ones that are going to have to
00:21:33put the money in again.
00:21:34So, it just depends how strong they are and how well they think he's done.
00:21:39I am utterly gobsmacked by the fixation with Steven Gerrard.
00:21:43I don't get it.
00:21:44I don't get it.
00:21:45And he's had a chance again.
00:21:46He's had another chance and he turned it down.
00:21:49I can't remember what his reason was at that time.
00:21:52He wasn't given enough assurances on what he wanted to transform the side.
00:21:56Yeah.
00:21:56Meaning, I want lots of money.
00:21:58Yeah.
00:21:59I mean, again, the owners have just come in and they've put in as much as they could, I would
00:22:02think.
00:22:03I don't think they would put in the money that he's wanting.
00:22:06You know, obviously, coming back from Saudi, I think he's been thrown at him over there.
00:22:11But, no, I think he's a name and he's done well.
00:22:14But, Tam touched on it.
00:22:15One trophy in nine.
00:22:17Not great, is it?
00:22:18No, it's not.
00:22:19But the one thing that I think is really good about this at the moment, and it depends on what
00:22:23way Rangers and Celtic spend their money, Tam, is quite simply, it's no longer a foregone conclusion that one can
00:22:31outspend.
00:22:32You can't get a checkbook manager coming in now.
00:22:34I thought Graeme Souness was a checkbook manager because, quite simply, he came in when nobody else was able to
00:22:40keep pace with him.
00:22:41Aberdeen were on the way in because Fergie had gone to Manchester United and he was able to buy all
00:22:47and sundry English players because English football was banned from European football.
00:22:51So, they were bringing in England internationals.
00:22:53Celtic were in the doldrums.
00:22:54Celtic were a car crash club.
00:22:56And he was able to actually just bankroll to the title.
00:23:00You know, this time around, you'll suddenly get hearts with a really good structure.
00:23:03If only you could get maybe a Hibs or an Aberdeen or somebody, you know, one of the Dundee clubs
00:23:09suddenly getting their act together as well.
00:23:11It would be really, really competitive.
00:23:13But I think they're up against it now because they have to be more shrewd in the transfer market.
00:23:18Yeah, I mean, if you look at Hearts, if you look at Tony Bloom as a whole and all the
00:23:23clubs he's involved in, you know, they're all flying this season.
00:23:26USG are going to win the league in Belgium.
00:23:28Hearts possibly win the league here.
00:23:29Brighton are flying, you know, top six.
00:23:31And it hasn't always happened immediately.
00:23:33I think the USG, particularly in Belgium, you know, invested money in there.
00:23:37They got close a couple of times before they won it.
00:23:39I think he came in in a blaze of glory in the summer and spoke about five-year, ten-year
00:23:44plans of winning the league and people laughed at him.
00:23:47He might do it in year one, you know.
00:23:49You're not laughing now.
00:23:50I know.
00:23:50And that's not to say, oh, they're just going to win it and then just go away again.
00:23:55I think if Hearts win the league, they bank that money.
00:23:58You know, Tony Bloom will go again.
00:23:59He'll try and be a real force in Scottish football with that money behind him.
00:24:03So, yeah, I don't think Hearts are going to go away anywhere soon with Tony Bloom behind him.
00:24:09And Rangers have wasted so much money.
00:24:13You know, Celtic are a different animal.
00:24:14They've not spent it.
00:24:15But Rangers, with the guts of £30 to £40 million this season and could finish third.
00:24:20So, you know, you're right.
00:24:22You've got to have some sort of structure.
00:24:24You've got to have some sort of recruitment plan in place.
00:24:26And Rangers don't seem to have that at the minute.
00:24:29I think Brian makes a great point.
00:24:30Celtic and Rangers have signed some duds and will lose a fortune on them.
00:24:34Brian, you're not wrong.
00:24:36You've absolutely...
00:24:37And don't worry, you don't need to re-spell duds.
00:24:39We all get it.
00:24:42They have indeed.
00:24:43And, you know, I think we need to get Charlie Adam in before the end of the season
00:24:47just to kind of give us some transfer values, roughly, on some of these players.
00:24:51Well, unfortunately for Celtic, a lot of them have drastically dropped.
00:24:54I mean, at one stage, we were talking about Hatati, £20 million.
00:24:58You know, obviously, Giotto's been out injured.
00:25:00He's a different kettle.
00:25:02Engels, would you pay more than £12 million that you paid initially, you know?
00:25:07So they've not got that Cairn Carey, that £25 million or that.
00:25:12They'll get their money back in more on Engels.
00:25:15Yeah, yeah.
00:25:16But I think that the proof is...
00:25:20They'll get a huge amount of money on Negan
00:25:22in comparison to what they paid for him.
00:25:24Well, yeah.
00:25:24He's got 20 goals, roughly.
00:25:26It's the money they need to recruit for the loan players.
00:25:28How many players have they got out and loan?
00:25:30Off the top of your head.
00:25:32How many players have Celtic got at other clubs?
00:25:34I would say it's about 10.
00:25:36Tam and I were thinking about this.
00:25:37We don't have the answer.
00:25:38How many is it?
00:25:39I'd say it's about 10, I guess.
00:25:41There he goes.
00:25:41It's about 10.
00:25:4410 players that they've paid money for
00:25:46that aren't contributing.
00:25:47Inamour is still part of the Celtic line-up.
00:25:49Stephen Welsh is another one who's still there.
00:25:52Who's the other striker?
00:25:53Shin Yamada.
00:25:54Is he there?
00:25:55I think he's still a loan deal somewhere.
00:25:58Yeah, you're right, Ruffy.
00:25:59I mean, there's a lot of who?
00:26:00Norocchi, is he there?
00:26:01Is he there?
00:26:01That's another one.
00:26:02Yeah.
00:26:02Aga Bielka, did he leave permanently?
00:26:06Norocchi.
00:26:06There's a lot of players.
00:26:07Yeah.
00:26:08You're right, Ruffy.
00:26:09It's a good point.
00:26:09Okay, on that point, Rangers.
00:26:12Danny Roll.
00:26:13How does he go about this one?
00:26:14What does he do to win the game there?
00:26:17Because it's a different situation
00:26:18from when Wilfred Nancy was there,
00:26:22where basically Rangers were able to
00:26:25get the win comfortably
00:26:26because of the madness of the manager they appointed.
00:26:29He needs to believe that the players
00:26:31that are on the part can do more than 45 minutes.
00:26:34If they're going to go into the game
00:26:36and just chip in 45 minutes,
00:26:37it's not going to be good enough.
00:26:39They need to prove to the manager
00:26:40that they can go longer than that.
00:26:42And particularly when they go in front,
00:26:44they've got to prove that they are good enough
00:26:46to kick on.
00:26:47And they haven't done that.
00:26:49Yeah.
00:26:49So again, it's a stupid old one.
00:26:51Whoever scores first is going to win the game.
00:26:54In your mind?
00:26:55In my mind, I think if Rangers were to score first,
00:26:59I don't think they'd lose the game.
00:27:01That hasn't happened in the last few,
00:27:02but if you look at it...
00:27:04I think with the way the pressure's going
00:27:05and now the nitty-gritty,
00:27:08Celtic going into the game,
00:27:09knowing they need to win.
00:27:10I mean, obviously,
00:27:12I mean, I'm looking right now,
00:27:13it's 27 minutes past four,
00:27:15so I'm actually putting that line in
00:27:17where I'm going to replay that clip to you.
00:27:19Yeah.
00:27:20Because obviously last week,
00:27:21you know, you said that you've seen
00:27:23the momentum with Rangers
00:27:24and Tam defended you yesterday,
00:27:26saying, no, no, he was...
00:27:27You were there.
00:27:28I say, no, Ruffy's been backing Celtic all the way.
00:27:32Yes.
00:27:32Do you not think...
00:27:33I mean, if you were at that game
00:27:35last week at Tyncastle
00:27:36and you saw the first 45 minutes,
00:27:39Rangers won up.
00:27:40Would you have been sitting there
00:27:41and having your cup of tea at half-time
00:27:43and saying,
00:27:44Rangers are going to win this?
00:27:46I thought they were comfortable.
00:27:48But that just shows you, you know,
00:27:49the way things are now
00:27:50and the pressure that's involved.
00:27:52None of them have had a good 90 minutes.
00:27:53No.
00:27:54Certain people can handle it,
00:27:55some people can't handle it.
00:27:57It's on the day for me.
00:27:59So, give me your prediction.
00:28:02Oh, you have a prediction?
00:28:03Has Rangers scored first?
00:28:04No, no.
00:28:04Okay, I'm going to go Celtic to win 2-1.
00:28:06And Celtic to score first.
00:28:09Right, okay.
00:28:10Celtic to score first.
00:28:11Right, Tom?
00:28:11Yeah, I'll go Celtic 2-1 as well,
00:28:13but it's been interesting
00:28:14that the last two old-firm games,
00:28:16league games,
00:28:18Celtic have scored first
00:28:19and not won any of them.
00:28:21Sorry, Rangers scored first,
00:28:23never won it.
00:28:23And then Celtic scored first
00:28:24at Parkhead and get beat.
00:28:26Yeah.
00:28:26So, usually you're right,
00:28:27first goal's vital in these games,
00:28:29but it hasn't been the last couple.
00:28:30But I think Celtic will win 2-1.
00:28:32Kenny says,
00:28:33when Rangers play a bit,
00:28:34they look decent.
00:28:35Kenny, you're right,
00:28:35they look decent in the first half
00:28:36against Hearts.
00:28:37I thought that was the best football
00:28:40Rangers had played all season.
00:28:42You know, comfortable moving it about,
00:28:43shifting it about,
00:28:44albeit they had an overload at times
00:28:46in the midfield area.
00:28:47But I thought they looked comfortable.
00:28:49But I don't see...
00:28:51Kenny says,
00:28:52Celtic 2, Rangers 2 and Hearts to win.
00:28:54We're going to get on to Hearts right now, Kenny,
00:28:56but I'm going to go Celtic to win
00:28:57narrowly 2-1 as well.
00:28:59There'll be goals,
00:29:00because the two defences
00:29:01are not great either.
00:29:03But give us your thoughts on it, Brian.
00:29:05I think Celtic 3, Rangers 2.
00:29:07There'll be Rangers fans.
00:29:09And Willie says,
00:29:09Rangers only perform for 45 minutes.
00:29:13Can Rangers go to Celtic Park and win?
00:29:15And maybe the twists and turns
00:29:16that Tam's talking about,
00:29:18which brings us nicely to Fir Park,
00:29:208 o'clock at night.
00:29:21It's mobbed.
00:29:22My nephew is flying in from Jersey.
00:29:26For the game,
00:29:27because he's a huge Motherwell fan.
00:29:29And he will be wearing, of course,
00:29:32all the gear that he likes to wear.
00:29:33You know, the Stone Island.
00:29:34You want it?
00:29:35You want it as well?
00:29:35I am going to go to it.
00:29:37I'll be in the press box.
00:29:38He'll be in the Motherwell end,
00:29:40hoping that Motherwell
00:29:41can take down Hearts
00:29:43and cement their place
00:29:45in fourth position.
00:29:46I think they've already got it anyway,
00:29:47but nevertheless...
00:29:48Yeah, well, the evidence so far
00:29:50is, you have to say,
00:29:52they went off the boil a wee bit,
00:29:54Motherwell.
00:29:56Not getting the results
00:29:57they were getting earlier on,
00:29:58but they're at home
00:29:59listening to the manager chatting.
00:30:02He believes that
00:30:02he wants a strong finish in the league.
00:30:04I'm sure the players
00:30:06will want a strong finish as well.
00:30:08Very noticeable,
00:30:09the Motherwell players
00:30:10and the Player of the Year awards.
00:30:12You know,
00:30:12they'll go into the game
00:30:13with a lot of confidence.
00:30:14But again,
00:30:15it's that big P-word,
00:30:17pressure.
00:30:17Yeah, what was the noticeable
00:30:18about the Player of the Year awards?
00:30:21Motherwell had two players in it.
00:30:22Yeah.
00:30:23Ah, you mean the PFA one?
00:30:24Yeah.
00:30:25I thought you were wrong
00:30:25about the club one as well.
00:30:28But I'm looking at it
00:30:30and the form's not great, Tam.
00:30:31One win in the last...
00:30:32Wow!
00:30:34One win in the last seven.
00:30:36That's not great.
00:30:38Yeah, and it's at Ibrox,
00:30:40which will annoy Rangers
00:30:42supporters even more,
00:30:43but...
00:30:44five defeats.
00:30:45Yeah, they haven't.
00:30:45I think in some of those games
00:30:47they have been a little bit unfortunate
00:30:48not to get more out of the game.
00:30:50So,
00:30:51yeah,
00:30:52it's a massive game.
00:30:54I think
00:30:54Jens Berthold-Haskill's comments
00:30:56about the penalty
00:30:58at Tyne Castle
00:30:59has stoked the fires as well.
00:31:01There's a lot of Hearts fans
00:31:02not happy with that.
00:31:03Why?
00:31:04Well,
00:31:05they'll argue
00:31:06that it was a penalty.
00:31:07So,
00:31:08I just think that's a wee bit
00:31:09more spice to it as well.
00:31:11There's
00:31:12a few Celtic supporters
00:31:13in that
00:31:14Motherwell team as well,
00:31:15which might want to do
00:31:16their team a turn.
00:31:17The team that support a turn,
00:31:19Stephen Welsh obviously as well.
00:31:21A lot of eyes watching the game
00:31:23and
00:31:23yeah,
00:31:24I'm looking forward to it.
00:31:25As I said yesterday,
00:31:27Motherwell will play a certain way.
00:31:28They'll go in high press
00:31:29and they'll play through the lines.
00:31:29Hearts can mix it up,
00:31:30they can go longer
00:31:31and
00:31:32I think it's going to be
00:31:33a really close game.
00:31:34Don't give us your prediction
00:31:35just yet
00:31:36because quite simply
00:31:36we have to talk about
00:31:37yet another award,
00:31:39the SPFL manager of the season
00:31:41and it belongs to
00:31:42Derek McInnes again.
00:31:43Ruffey,
00:31:43what have you got to say to that?
00:31:44Yeah,
00:31:45is this the managers
00:31:46who vote for it again?
00:31:47No,
00:31:48I think this is the sponsors.
00:31:49Oh,
00:31:50the sponsors,
00:31:50well,
00:31:51I mean,
00:31:51he's been there since October.
00:31:52You can't
00:31:54take it away from them
00:31:55the way they've played.
00:31:56They've handled
00:31:57the Rangers and Celtic
00:31:58quite comfortably
00:31:59and they have been
00:32:00the team of the year
00:32:01so far.
00:32:02It's unfortunately
00:32:02we don't know
00:32:04who it is going to be
00:32:05at the end
00:32:05but I think he deserves it
00:32:07for giving it an hour.
00:32:08Yeah,
00:32:09he hopes to have Devlin
00:32:10or Milne,
00:32:12possibly both.
00:32:13I would suggest
00:32:13only one of them
00:32:15might surprise us
00:32:16in the starting line-up
00:32:17but either one
00:32:18is a crucial player
00:32:19for them.
00:32:21Yeah,
00:32:21and they evidence
00:32:22the first half
00:32:23they struggled a wee bit
00:32:24against Rangers
00:32:25so
00:32:26any quality
00:32:27you can add to that team
00:32:28particularly in the second half
00:32:30they sort of
00:32:31have grinded it out
00:32:31a wee bit
00:32:32and got the result.
00:32:33If you go back
00:32:34to the Hibs game
00:32:35very fortunate
00:32:36two Hibs players
00:32:37got sent off
00:32:38so
00:32:40they're there
00:32:40where they are
00:32:41because they've been
00:32:42very, very good
00:32:42the rest of the season.
00:32:43I just don't think
00:32:44they're playing
00:32:45that good either.
00:32:46I think they find
00:32:47ways to win,
00:32:48Tom.
00:32:49I think the manager
00:32:49deserves the award
00:32:50and I think
00:32:51he has to be applauded
00:32:53for
00:32:54doing his job
00:32:55which is basically
00:32:56you can't
00:32:57unless you're
00:32:58one of the
00:32:59absolute top sides
00:33:00you can't
00:33:00dominate a game
00:33:01for 90 minutes
00:33:02what you do
00:33:02is you look
00:33:03and you say
00:33:03to yourself
00:33:04this isn't
00:33:05working out
00:33:05I need to
00:33:06change it
00:33:06so he's done
00:33:07that consistently
00:33:08and I think
00:33:09he's right
00:33:10to be defiant
00:33:10in talking about
00:33:11people saying
00:33:12who's questioning
00:33:13our mentality?
00:33:14We've got 76
00:33:15points here
00:33:16we're three games
00:33:16away from winning
00:33:17the league
00:33:17and these players
00:33:18have showed
00:33:19a strong mentality
00:33:21and an abundance
00:33:22of it
00:33:23in big games
00:33:24where it's not
00:33:24been going well
00:33:25they've managed
00:33:26five wins
00:33:26over Celtic
00:33:27and Rangers
00:33:27they've managed
00:33:28three out of four
00:33:29in the derbies
00:33:30he deserves
00:33:30great credit
00:33:31Yeah he does
00:33:32they've shown
00:33:33great resilience
00:33:33all season
00:33:34Peter
00:33:34I think
00:33:34they've been
00:33:35behind in games
00:33:36they've come back
00:33:36and won them
00:33:37they were 3-0 down
00:33:38at home to Motherwell
00:33:38at one point
00:33:39earlier in the season
00:33:40come back and drew
00:33:40three each
00:33:41so they've got
00:33:42a never say die
00:33:43attitude within
00:33:44the whole club
00:33:44within the dressing room
00:33:45that comes from
00:33:46the manager as well
00:33:46so 1-0 down
00:33:48at half time
00:33:48last week
00:33:49getting outplayed
00:33:49against Rangers
00:33:51Derek went and
00:33:51changed the system
00:33:52brought Blair Spital on
00:33:53went to an extra
00:33:53mandolin
00:33:54in the middle of the park
00:33:54and they came out
00:33:55in steamroller Rangers
00:33:56in the second half
00:33:57so they'll get
00:33:58into this game
00:33:58confident
00:33:59they'll be confident
00:34:00if they go a goal up
00:34:01they'll still be confident
00:34:02to win the game
00:34:02if they go a goal down
00:34:04because they've shown
00:34:05all season
00:34:06that they have got
00:34:06a togetherness
00:34:07and a resilience
00:34:07that they can go
00:34:08and win games
00:34:08and I think that's
00:34:09got to be credit
00:34:09to the manager
00:34:10and the whole squad
00:34:10Well look at the
00:34:12goalscorer
00:34:12Shankman
00:34:13he's got 18 now
00:34:14Ruffy
00:34:14and Braga
00:34:15the player of the year
00:34:16has got 17
00:34:19and Kenny thinks
00:34:20Del deserves to win
00:34:21the title
00:34:21he's earned it
00:34:22I like McKenna's
00:34:23point on this
00:34:24we need a strong
00:34:25midfield against
00:34:25Motherwell
00:34:26so I hope Devlin's
00:34:27back
00:34:28I think they'll need
00:34:29somebody like Devlin
00:34:29alongside Leonard
00:34:30in the middle of the park
00:34:32because Motherwell
00:34:34at times
00:34:34can pass you to death
00:34:36I like the boy
00:34:37Slattery in there
00:34:38I see this team's
00:34:39looking at him now
00:34:41Motherwell
00:34:42the strongest bit
00:34:43for me
00:34:43has been their midfield
00:34:44I think they've been
00:34:45great to watch
00:34:47I think your man
00:34:49up front
00:34:49has been a wee bit
00:34:50quiet
00:34:52Masanusi
00:34:53Maswanisi
00:34:54he's went off
00:34:54he's went off
00:34:55a wee bit
00:34:56you know
00:34:56that's a shame
00:34:57you usually say
00:34:58the big guy up front
00:35:00at least I had
00:35:01an effort
00:35:02but the wee boy
00:35:04just for me
00:35:06should have been
00:35:06the player of the year
00:35:07I think he is
00:35:08he makes them tick
00:35:09he's the one
00:35:10he's got all the
00:35:11movement in the world
00:35:13and I think
00:35:14it'll be a pretty
00:35:14close game
00:35:15I really do
00:35:16the boy Eli
00:35:17just seems to
00:35:18keep his
00:35:20he seems to
00:35:20keep his feet
00:35:21on the ground
00:35:22and I've noticed
00:35:22something that
00:35:23somebody mentioned
00:35:23in the press
00:35:24you know
00:35:25they were talking
00:35:25about it
00:35:25and Bertha Laskow
00:35:27mentioned it as well
00:35:28you don't see him
00:35:29going overboard
00:35:30with huge big
00:35:32celebrations
00:35:32and they get in
00:35:33on the face
00:35:33he seems to be
00:35:34I'm not suggesting
00:35:35for a minute
00:35:36he's a dull boy
00:35:37you know
00:35:38he scores some
00:35:39belter goals
00:35:39and actually some
00:35:40of his passing
00:35:41has split defences
00:35:42for Masanusi
00:35:43you know
00:35:44maybe that's just
00:35:45his personality
00:35:45yeah he's been
00:35:46really entertaining
00:35:46to watch
00:35:47you know
00:35:47he plays in that
00:35:48little pocket
00:35:48behind the striker
00:35:49you know
00:35:49he can come
00:35:50and dictate the game
00:35:50he can come deep
00:35:51and spray passes about
00:35:52he can go and
00:35:52create and score goals
00:35:54he's been a breath
00:35:55of fresh air to watch
00:35:56for Motherwell this season
00:35:56in that midfield
00:35:58just behind Masanusi
00:35:59so he's someone
00:36:00that Hearts will
00:36:00have to take care of
00:36:02but it's been interesting
00:36:03there's a lot of red cards
00:36:04in Hearts games this season
00:36:05you know
00:36:06if I look back
00:36:07at the St Myrne game
00:36:07away from home
00:36:08where they lost 1-0
00:36:11you know
00:36:11the Hibs game
00:36:12there's been games
00:36:13where Hearts
00:36:15have either lost
00:36:15a man
00:36:16or done United
00:36:17away I think
00:36:17and they get
00:36:18two men sent off
00:36:19so
00:36:21both teams I think
00:36:22need to keep
00:36:2211 men on the park
00:36:23because that could be
00:36:23pivotal again
00:36:24because there has been
00:36:25a lot of sending off
00:36:25some recent weeks
00:36:26I've thought
00:36:26it's the one game
00:36:27where I don't see
00:36:28I don't see
00:36:30the kind of needle
00:36:31that you get
00:36:32in other matches
00:36:33because of the way
00:36:33they want to play football
00:36:34I mean Devlin's
00:36:35capable of causing
00:36:36a fight
00:36:37in the house
00:36:38on his own
00:36:38which I like about him
00:36:39I don't know about you Tam
00:36:40but I love
00:36:41I love midfielders
00:36:43who want to pick
00:36:44a fight
00:36:46which is why
00:36:47Scott Brown
00:36:48epitomised it all
00:36:49by looking and thinking
00:36:50how can I annoy
00:36:51this person
00:36:52and then
00:36:52play football
00:36:53around them
00:36:54while they're trying
00:36:54to put the life
00:36:55out of me
00:36:56Devlin's right
00:36:56in that mould
00:36:57yeah and he can
00:36:58back it up
00:36:58because he's a good
00:36:58player as well
00:36:59Peter and he can
00:36:59mix it up
00:37:00he can take it
00:37:00he can give it
00:37:01and that's what
00:37:02you want to see
00:37:02I think they'll
00:37:03struggle to get
00:37:04back into the team
00:37:04I think the boy
00:37:05Leonard's been
00:37:05superb in there
00:37:06I think they've
00:37:06had a nice blend
00:37:07with him and
00:37:07Beningame
00:37:08I like the
00:37:09two of them
00:37:09they haven't let
00:37:10Beningame
00:37:10start the ball
00:37:11I don't know
00:37:13if he's fit enough
00:37:13to start the game
00:37:14but even back
00:37:14on the bench
00:37:15I think we give
00:37:15the squad a boost
00:37:16and Malm's
00:37:17obviously been
00:37:17excellent this season
00:37:18we've been missing
00:37:18for a while as well
00:37:19so Hearts are
00:37:20getting players
00:37:21back at the
00:37:21big players
00:37:22back at the
00:37:22right time
00:37:22as well
00:37:23you can see
00:37:24where Hearts'
00:37:25success has been
00:37:26this year
00:37:26that Rangers
00:37:27and Celtic
00:37:28haven't had
00:37:29the two strikers
00:37:30that have scored
00:37:31goals
00:37:32Celtic and Rangers
00:37:33have always had
00:37:34two strikers
00:37:35who's scored
00:37:3620 goals
00:37:36that's the key
00:37:37to the title
00:37:37for me Ruffy
00:37:38that's why I think
00:37:39Hearts will win
00:37:40the title
00:37:40yeah and that
00:37:41evidence
00:37:41with the two of
00:37:42them scoring
00:37:43as many goals
00:37:43you wouldn't
00:37:44argue against it
00:37:45so with that
00:37:47in mind Ruffy
00:37:47I'm going to go
00:37:49one each
00:37:49a draw
00:37:51which twists
00:37:52the whole thing
00:37:53towards yourself
00:37:54and possibly
00:37:56yes
00:37:58Tam where are you
00:37:58going with this one
00:37:59do you want me to
00:37:59go back to the
00:38:00six games ago
00:38:02predictions
00:38:02no
00:38:02I should have
00:38:04won didn't I
00:38:04what was Hearts'
00:38:06last six
00:38:06eh
00:38:07Hearts' last six
00:38:08away
00:38:08you're saying
00:38:09they're not that
00:38:11impressive
00:38:11no just the last
00:38:12six games
00:38:13no we predicted
00:38:13from six games
00:38:14out
00:38:14we had a prediction
00:38:16and I predicted
00:38:16that Hearts would
00:38:17end up with 82
00:38:18points and win the
00:38:18league
00:38:19Tam
00:38:19I certainly didn't
00:38:21say Rangers
00:38:22would beat them
00:38:22they would beat
00:38:23Rangers
00:38:23yeah
00:38:24Tam at this point
00:38:25had Celtic on
00:38:2788
00:38:27Rangers on 77
00:38:28and Hearts on
00:38:2974
00:38:30so Hearts have
00:38:31already exceeded
00:38:32that they're on
00:38:3276
00:38:33I had Hearts on
00:38:3582 at the end
00:38:36of the season
00:38:37Celtic on 80
00:38:37and Rangers on
00:38:3878
00:38:39I don't think
00:38:39I'll be
00:38:41too far away
00:38:42from that
00:38:42Ruffy
00:38:42although there
00:38:43could be a few
00:38:44twists and turns
00:38:45and on that
00:38:46point Tam
00:38:48you know
00:38:48I had Hearts
00:38:50to win 3-2
00:38:51and I'm going to
00:38:52stick to it
00:38:52I fancy Hearts
00:38:54yeah
00:38:54change your mind
00:38:56I just think
00:38:56Hearts
00:38:56they'll grind
00:38:57something out
00:38:58I think
00:38:59Miller will
00:39:00dominate the
00:39:00ball
00:39:01and I think
00:39:01Hearts
00:39:02will sucker
00:39:02them
00:39:031-0
00:39:04to Hearts
00:39:04wouldn't
00:39:04surprise me
00:39:06ok
00:39:06I'm going 3-2
00:39:07I think
00:39:07they'll be a
00:39:08goals fest
00:39:08you're going
00:39:09for a draw
00:39:09Ruffy
00:39:10so that
00:39:10it suddenly
00:39:11goes down
00:39:11to that
00:39:12last day
00:39:12in your
00:39:12mind
00:39:15let's see
00:39:15what happens
00:39:16in the Celtic
00:39:17Celtic Rangers
00:39:18game
00:39:19that's no
00:39:19done and
00:39:20dust
00:39:20either
00:39:20wait a minute
00:39:21you've suggested
00:39:21Celtic
00:39:22go
00:39:22I know
00:39:23but it's
00:39:23like that
00:39:24you know
00:39:25that's the joy
00:39:25of being a
00:39:26pundit
00:39:26you get
00:39:26battered
00:39:28I think
00:39:29it's going
00:39:29to be one
00:39:29each
00:39:29I think
00:39:31Celtic
00:39:31will beat
00:39:31Rangers
00:39:32so that
00:39:33will be
00:39:33what
00:39:34that reduces
00:39:35the gap
00:39:36to only
00:39:37one point
00:39:38and then
00:39:39Celtic
00:39:39will go to
00:39:40Motherwell
00:39:40and Motherwell
00:39:40will beat
00:39:41Celtic
00:39:44imagine
00:39:44you won
00:39:45the league
00:39:45and you're
00:39:46going to
00:39:46Celtic
00:39:46for the
00:39:47last game
00:39:47of the
00:39:47season
00:39:48as a
00:39:49player
00:39:49if you
00:39:50won the
00:39:50league
00:39:50you won
00:39:52it by
00:39:53then
00:39:53that's
00:39:54the best
00:39:54time to
00:39:54go
00:39:55I know
00:39:55that's what
00:39:55I'm saying
00:39:55I'm trying
00:39:56to get the
00:39:57feeling as a
00:39:58player
00:39:58going to
00:39:59that game
00:39:59must be
00:40:00the highest
00:40:01point of
00:40:02your career
00:40:02the only
00:40:03thing that
00:40:03will derail
00:40:04my suggestion
00:40:05that Hearts
00:40:05is going to
00:40:06win the
00:40:06league
00:40:07is quite
00:40:08simply
00:40:08if there is
00:40:09only one
00:40:10point in
00:40:11it
00:40:12and Celtic
00:40:13against Hearts
00:40:14is the last
00:40:15game
00:40:15there's only one
00:40:16winner
00:40:16there's only one
00:40:17winner
00:40:19that I think
00:40:21is the dreaded
00:40:22scenario for
00:40:23Hearts
00:40:24if they drop
00:40:25points in
00:40:26the next couple
00:40:26of games
00:40:27Celtic are
00:40:27within one
00:40:28or two
00:40:28points
00:40:28going into
00:40:29that last
00:40:29game
00:40:29there's only
00:40:30one winner
00:40:30for me
00:40:31at a
00:40:31packed
00:40:31park
00:40:32I think
00:40:32Celtic will
00:40:33beat Hearts
00:40:33so Hearts
00:40:34want it tied
00:40:34up before
00:40:35then
00:40:35I think
00:40:36that's the
00:40:36case
00:40:36I don't
00:40:40think any
00:40:40Hearts
00:40:40player
00:40:41I hope it
00:40:41goes to
00:40:42the last
00:40:42game
00:40:44it'll be
00:40:45brilliant
00:40:46fantastic
00:40:49it'll be
00:40:49unbelievably
00:40:50I'll tell
00:40:51you one
00:40:51thing
00:40:51the one
00:40:52thing
00:40:52about it
00:40:52no matter
00:40:53what
00:40:53people are
00:40:54talking
00:40:54about
00:40:54and
00:40:56everyone
00:40:56and their
00:40:57granny
00:40:57of the
00:40:58pundits
00:40:58of the
00:40:59journalists
00:40:59everybody
00:41:00fans as
00:41:00well
00:41:01have all
00:41:02made
00:41:02predictions
00:41:03and have
00:41:04all been
00:41:04left with
00:41:04the egg
00:41:04in their
00:41:05face
00:41:05but we're
00:41:05about to
00:41:06just
00:41:07here's a
00:41:07question
00:41:08for you
00:41:08Peter
00:41:08when was
00:41:09the last
00:41:09time
00:41:10there was
00:41:11a league
00:41:11decider
00:41:12on the
00:41:12last day
00:41:13of the
00:41:13season
00:41:13in
00:41:14Scottish
00:41:14Premier
00:41:14League
00:41:142005
00:41:17who
00:41:18it was
00:41:19not playing
00:41:20each other
00:41:21or playing
00:41:22each other
00:41:23has that
00:41:23ever happened
00:41:25oh that's
00:41:25such a good
00:41:26such a good
00:41:26line
00:41:27has there ever
00:41:27been a head
00:41:28to head
00:41:28on the last
00:41:29day of the
00:41:29season
00:41:30was it not
00:41:31Rangers
00:41:32with Neil
00:41:33McCann
00:41:33scoring
00:41:34and Mahe
00:41:35gets
00:41:35I don't
00:41:36think that
00:41:37was the
00:41:37last game
00:41:37were they
00:41:38so far
00:41:38at the
00:41:38Rangers
00:41:40Aberdeen
00:41:40game
00:41:41yes
00:41:412-0
00:41:42Ruffy
00:41:43well done
00:41:43Ruffy
00:41:44when was that
00:41:4590
00:41:46yeah
00:41:47Kenny Merchant
00:41:47will tell you
00:41:48when that was
00:41:48no but I'll tell you
00:41:49I'll tell you
00:41:49you're not even
00:41:50going to win
00:41:50than that
00:41:50Ruffy
00:41:50by the way
00:41:52I'm bowing
00:41:52to you for
00:41:53that one
00:41:53Ruffy
00:41:53well done
00:41:542-0
00:41:54to Rangers
00:41:55if Aberdeen
00:41:56Alex Smith's
00:41:57Aberdeen
00:41:58won that day
00:41:58and I think
00:41:59maybe
00:42:00I'm not so sure
00:42:00about a draw
00:42:01but if they won
00:42:02that day
00:42:02they won the league
00:42:03so that's a
00:42:04brilliant shout
00:42:04Ruffy
00:42:05but the other
00:42:05thing is
00:42:05I wonder
00:42:06if you can
00:42:07tell me
00:42:08who was the
00:42:09goalkeeper
00:42:10for Aberdeen
00:42:10that day
00:42:11what
00:42:12oh
00:42:12what
00:42:13he's
00:42:13big man's
00:42:15on a run
00:42:15you can't
00:42:16you can't get
00:42:17an opinion
00:42:17out of him
00:42:18but you can get
00:42:18clarity on
00:42:19who played
00:42:20Ruffy
00:42:20big Mark
00:42:21Hayley
00:42:21terrorised
00:42:22him
00:42:22oh he did
00:42:23he was
00:42:23brilliant
00:42:23he just
00:42:24battered
00:42:25him
00:42:25the young
00:42:26boy
00:42:26was
00:42:26inexperienced
00:42:27and just
00:42:28couldn't handle
00:42:29him
00:42:29yeah
00:42:30and I think
00:42:31Rangers won
00:42:32the game
00:42:332-0
00:42:34if my memory
00:42:35says
00:42:35correct
00:42:37and Dante
00:42:39says
00:42:39Schnellders
00:42:40was injured
00:42:40and I think
00:42:42that had a
00:42:42major impact
00:42:43on Aberdeen
00:42:44Aberdeen
00:42:44had a right
00:42:44good side
00:42:45then as well
00:42:45Ruffy
00:42:46yeah
00:42:46certainly
00:42:46well to get
00:42:47to that stage
00:42:48of the season
00:42:4935 years ago
00:42:52yeah it must
00:42:52have been
00:42:52another thing
00:42:53about Ruffy
00:42:54as well
00:42:54which I remember
00:42:55about that
00:42:55is they had
00:42:56a right good
00:42:56manager in Alex
00:42:57Smith
00:42:57Alex Smith
00:42:58was a lovely
00:42:58man
00:42:58yeah he was
00:42:59a great guy
00:42:59I think he's
00:43:00living in Australia
00:43:00now
00:43:01yeah he is
00:43:02he was at
00:43:02Falkirk
00:43:03when I was
00:43:03there
00:43:03I loved
00:43:04Alex
00:43:04he's a really
00:43:05nice man
00:43:05gave me my
00:43:06debut for
00:43:06Scotland
00:43:06in the 21s
00:43:07as well
00:43:07so not really
00:43:08got switched
00:43:09on with regards
00:43:10to players
00:43:10but nevertheless
00:43:12no great man
00:43:13only kidding
00:43:14you Tom
00:43:14and thanks to
00:43:16Willie who says
00:43:16it was 2-0
00:43:17it was a
00:43:17hately double
00:43:18it was
00:43:19Mark was
00:43:20was Mark
00:43:21still wearing
00:43:23the Ice Cream
00:43:24Man Versace
00:43:25gear
00:43:25it was
00:43:26I think he had
00:43:27a red Ferrari
00:43:28the hair away
00:43:29didn't he hear
00:43:30yes
00:43:30he looked like
00:43:32I always say to
00:43:33him he looked
00:43:33like a Romulan
00:43:34from Star Trek
00:43:36you know with that
00:43:36big long hair
00:43:37fearsome
00:43:38I wouldn't like to
00:43:38I can imagine
00:43:40way back then
00:43:40that his
00:43:42Versace stuff
00:43:43would have been
00:43:43targeted in the
00:43:45dressing room
00:43:46I think
00:43:47cut sleeves
00:43:48cut trousers
00:43:50cut ties
00:43:51and by the way
00:43:53I remember
00:43:54one photograph
00:43:55Mark's a brilliant
00:43:55lad
00:43:56he's a really
00:43:57nice lad
00:43:58but I remember
00:44:01one photograph
00:44:01of him
00:44:02and this has just
00:44:03summed it all up
00:44:03obviously having
00:44:05played in Italy
00:44:05with the great
00:44:07fabulous Ray
00:44:08Wilkins as well
00:44:10he was standing
00:44:11next to his
00:44:12red Ferrari
00:44:12and all that
00:44:13Versace gear
00:44:14he looked
00:44:15he didn't look
00:44:16the business
00:44:16he just looked
00:44:17mental
00:44:18aye
00:44:18that's the picture
00:44:21I've got in my
00:44:21head of Mark
00:44:22Hately
00:44:23quite flashy
00:44:24but great player
00:44:26and certainly
00:44:26came up trumps
00:44:27in that game
00:44:27when he was
00:44:28needed
00:44:28what a line
00:44:29that is there
00:44:29he said
00:44:30this is one
00:44:31from Skeen
00:44:32who I know
00:44:33I think is an
00:44:34Aberdeen fan
00:44:35he says
00:44:35if only Charlie
00:44:36Nicholas
00:44:36had stayed
00:44:37one extra
00:44:38year at
00:44:39Petaudry
00:44:41it might all
00:44:41have been so
00:44:42different
00:44:42and Kenny
00:44:43says the
00:44:43Dons hit the
00:44:44path twice
00:44:45before Rangers
00:44:46scored
00:44:46they had some
00:44:47great Dutch
00:44:47players
00:44:48yeah Hans
00:44:48Heelhaus
00:44:49for me
00:44:49was a fabulous
00:44:51player for
00:44:51Aberdeen
00:44:52is that fair
00:44:52Raffy?
00:44:53yeah I would
00:44:53think so
00:44:53so what are
00:44:54we going for
00:44:57you've called
00:44:58Motherwell
00:44:59one each
00:44:59I've gone for
00:45:011-0 Hearts
00:45:011-0 Hearts
00:45:02ok give us
00:45:03your thoughts
00:45:03give us your
00:45:05thoughts on that
00:45:06and by the
00:45:06way can I
00:45:07just say
00:45:07to
00:45:10the guy
00:45:11who we
00:45:11don't know
00:45:12his name
00:45:12because he
00:45:12never ever
00:45:13gives us
00:45:13but he's
00:45:13got a
00:45:14handle on
00:45:14it
00:45:17smell the
00:45:17glove
00:45:17says
00:45:1810 men
00:45:19won the
00:45:19league
00:45:19in 1979
00:45:20it was
00:45:21very close
00:45:22to the
00:45:22last game
00:45:22of the
00:45:22season
00:45:23Rangers
00:45:24only had
00:45:24to draw
00:45:25in the
00:45:25game at
00:45:25Celtic
00:45:26Park
00:45:26Johnny
00:45:27Doyle
00:45:27gets
00:45:27sent
00:45:28off
00:45:30the
00:45:30great
00:45:31late
00:45:31the
00:45:32late
00:45:32great
00:45:32Davy
00:45:33Cooper
00:45:33was
00:45:33magnificent
00:45:34on that
00:45:35night
00:45:36but Celtic
00:45:37with 10
00:45:37men
00:45:38in the
00:45:38second
00:45:39half
00:45:40roughly
00:45:41they came
00:45:41back
00:45:41in 1-4-2
00:45:43it was an
00:45:44unbelievable
00:45:45game
00:45:46Colin Jackson
00:45:47scored an
00:45:47own goal
00:45:48to put
00:45:48Celtic
00:45:493-2 ahead
00:45:49and then
00:45:50a man you
00:45:51know very
00:45:52well
00:45:52Murdo McLeod
00:45:53because
00:45:55STV had
00:45:55gone and
00:45:56striked
00:45:56that night
00:45:58they went
00:45:59and striked
00:46:00and the
00:46:01game was
00:46:01only covered
00:46:01by Celtic
00:46:02TV
00:46:04cine
00:46:05camera
00:46:05and that
00:46:06allowed
00:46:07Murdo
00:46:07McLeod
00:46:08to say
00:46:09that he
00:46:09hit it
00:46:09from about
00:46:1045 yards
00:46:11when really
00:46:11it was only
00:46:1218
00:46:13into the roof
00:46:14it was a
00:46:14screamer
00:46:15it was a
00:46:16screamer
00:46:16all right
00:46:17absolutely
00:46:17Murdo
00:46:18could hit
00:46:18them
00:46:19yeah
00:46:20and of
00:46:21course
00:46:21yeah
00:46:22I did
00:46:22mention
00:46:22last week
00:46:23because Ian
00:46:23Docherty
00:46:24highlighted it
00:46:24Quentin
00:46:25Young
00:46:25had sadly
00:46:26passed
00:46:26away
00:46:26and of
00:46:27course
00:46:27in that
00:46:27day
00:46:27Johnny
00:46:28Doyle
00:46:28who was
00:46:29a big
00:46:30Celtic
00:46:30fan
00:46:31played
00:46:31for Celtic
00:46:33he's
00:46:33sadly
00:46:34no longer
00:46:34with us
00:46:34as well
00:46:35what a
00:46:35game
00:46:35that was
00:46:36yeah
00:46:36you're
00:46:36right
00:46:37okay
00:46:37so
00:46:38we're
00:46:39still
00:46:39sticking
00:46:39to it
00:46:41it's
00:46:41going to
00:46:41be
00:46:41interesting
00:46:42give us
00:46:42your
00:46:42thoughts
00:46:42on it
00:46:43how do
00:46:43you
00:46:43think
00:46:43the
00:46:43twists
00:46:43and
00:46:43turns
00:46:44in
00:46:44those
00:46:44two
00:46:44big
00:46:44games
00:46:45now
00:46:45I
00:46:46usually
00:46:46have
00:46:46a wee
00:46:46running
00:46:47order
00:46:47here
00:46:47where I'm
00:46:48looking
00:46:48and I'm
00:46:48thinking
00:46:49what's
00:46:49the next
00:46:50big
00:46:50game
00:46:50and for
00:46:50me
00:46:51it's
00:46:51in
00:46:51Paisley
00:46:52it's
00:46:52St Mirren
00:46:53against
00:46:53Kilmarnock
00:46:54in the
00:46:54bottom
00:46:55end of
00:46:55the
00:46:55table
00:46:56yeah
00:46:56this is
00:46:58an enormous
00:46:59game
00:46:59obviously
00:46:59Livingston
00:46:59are gone
00:47:00and I
00:47:01think
00:47:01you're
00:47:01looking
00:47:01at
00:47:01St Mirren
00:47:02and
00:47:02Kilmarnock
00:47:02now
00:47:02I
00:47:03think
00:47:03that's
00:47:03your
00:47:03two
00:47:03teams
00:47:03I
00:47:04think
00:47:04that
00:47:04Dundee
00:47:05obviously
00:47:05were the
00:47:05one
00:47:06last
00:47:06week
00:47:07and then
00:47:09Aberdeen
00:47:09are safe
00:47:09Dundee
00:47:10are safe
00:47:11if
00:47:11Kilmarnock
00:47:12beat
00:47:12St Mirren
00:47:12I think
00:47:12St Mirren
00:47:13are in
00:47:20the
00:47:20one
00:47:20at
00:47:20the
00:47:20weekend
00:47:21against
00:47:21Livingston
00:47:21but
00:47:22it's a
00:47:23big
00:47:23game
00:47:23and a
00:47:23hard
00:47:23one
00:47:24for
00:47:24me
00:47:24to
00:47:24call
00:47:24I
00:47:25think
00:47:25that
00:47:25Kilmarnock
00:47:25have
00:47:26definitely
00:47:26improved
00:47:26under
00:47:26Neil
00:47:27McCann
00:47:27and Billy
00:47:27Dodds
00:47:28it's been
00:47:28four months
00:47:30where he has
00:47:30they've picked up
00:47:31wins
00:47:32they've played
00:47:33good football
00:47:33and even
00:47:34some of the
00:47:34games
00:47:34they've
00:47:35lost
00:47:35they've
00:47:36played
00:47:36well
00:47:36in
00:47:36them
00:47:36as
00:47:37well
00:47:37I
00:47:38think
00:47:38Nara
00:47:38lost
00:47:38a few
00:47:39weeks
00:47:39ago
00:47:41I'm
00:47:42going to
00:47:42sit
00:47:42on the
00:47:42fence
00:47:42this is
00:47:44going to
00:47:44be
00:47:50Ruffey
00:47:50it's a
00:47:51tough
00:47:51order
00:47:51here
00:47:51I
00:47:52think
00:47:52it's
00:47:52been
00:47:52a
00:47:52big
00:47:52gamble
00:47:53for
00:47:53St
00:47:54Mirren
00:47:54full
00:47:54march
00:47:55to
00:47:55them
00:47:55and
00:47:55by
00:47:55the
00:47:55way
00:47:55even
00:47:56if
00:47:56they're
00:47:56in
00:47:56the
00:47:56playoff
00:47:57place
00:47:58there's
00:47:58still
00:47:58a lot
00:47:59of
00:48:00undetermined
00:48:00You'd still fancy them
00:48:01to stay in the league
00:48:03regardless of who's in that
00:48:05playoff and I'm sorry to say that
00:48:06because it could be a
00:48:07it could be a
00:48:08Dunfermine or a
00:48:09Thistler or a
00:48:10Broth
00:48:10Yeah
00:48:11obviously I think the momentum
00:48:13will come on it once you get a win
00:48:15a comfortable win like that
00:48:16last week
00:48:16you know that you're going into the
00:48:18remaining games with a bit of
00:48:19confidence
00:48:20I have looked at the
00:48:21St Mirren games and the last
00:48:22two games they've been in it
00:48:24they've had chances
00:48:25They weren't great at all
00:48:26Livingston
00:48:27they should have been at least
00:48:282 or 3
00:48:28nothing up against
00:48:29Livingston and then
00:48:30Liverson hit them with 2 goals
00:48:31Did you watch them against
00:48:32Dundee?
00:48:33I thought the first half
00:48:34they had chances
00:48:35in that game as well
00:48:37I'm sticking with them
00:48:38I've quite liked
00:48:39St Mirren
00:48:40this year so
00:48:41I'm going to go for
00:48:42St Mirren
00:48:43What?
00:48:44St Mirren what?
00:48:44To win
00:48:45Just to win?
00:48:46To win
00:48:46No scoreline
00:48:472-0
00:48:482-0
00:48:49OK
00:48:50I'm going to go Kelly to win 2-1
00:48:52One each
00:48:52One each
00:48:53One each
00:48:55Falkirk against Hibbs
00:48:56Oh
00:48:58I had a wee look at your column
00:48:59I usually get to the third paragraph
00:49:01and then
00:49:01you know the rest of it is just
00:49:04Puff
00:49:04Written in crayon
00:49:07If you can get past the third paragraph
00:49:09you're doing well
00:49:09once he throws his grenade
00:49:12could
00:49:13you know the disciplinary problem
00:49:15for Hibbs cost David Gray's job
00:49:17No
00:49:18I think it could Peter
00:49:19if Hibbs finish sixth
00:49:21out of the European places
00:49:22You're not sacking him are you?
00:49:24Come on
00:49:24I'm not saying I would sack him Peter
00:49:26but it's a very very disappointing season
00:49:28I lie to the fact that
00:49:29Hearts might win the league
00:49:30Yes
00:49:31which is even worse
00:49:31You're in a situation now
00:49:33where Falkirk
00:49:34just by winning
00:49:35beating Motherwell last week
00:49:37and Hibbs have lost
00:49:38four players
00:49:39sent off in the last three games
00:49:40lost the last three
00:49:42and Falkirk now
00:49:44are within touching distance
00:49:45if Falkirk beat Hibbs
00:49:46they go above them
00:49:46and fifth place
00:49:47is going to
00:49:48if Celtic win the cup final
00:49:49is going to get you into Europe
00:49:50so this is
00:49:51all of a sudden
00:49:52from you're thinking
00:49:53this is a bit of a dead rubber
00:49:54this is not anymore
00:49:55this is a big big game
00:49:56for both clubs
00:49:57One win in the last seven
00:49:58Yep
00:49:59Hibbs
00:49:59as I said
00:50:00they've just no been at it
00:50:01disciplinary problems
00:50:03are costing the manager
00:50:04costing results
00:50:05and they might cost him his job
00:50:07I said that today
00:50:07so they need to keep
00:50:0811 men apart
00:50:09the last three games
00:50:10have been men sent off
00:50:11they've lost all three
00:50:12keep 11 men apart
00:50:13and see how you go
00:50:14but
00:50:14a very very
00:50:15big game for both clubs
00:50:17Yeah
00:50:18Is he making too much of it
00:50:20talking about the state
00:50:21of the pitch David Gray
00:50:22he's not happy with
00:50:22Falkirk's pitch
00:50:23it's difficult to play on
00:50:25It's seemingly the best
00:50:26of the lot
00:50:27I think so
00:50:29Yeah
00:50:29certain players
00:50:31can't play on it
00:50:32as well as grass
00:50:33and if he thinks
00:50:34his certain big players
00:50:36don't perform on it
00:50:37then that's his problem
00:50:38he's got to sort it out
00:50:39but I think
00:50:40I think Falkirk
00:50:41of all the teams
00:50:42have been pretty consistent
00:50:43this year
00:50:43I think they've entertained
00:50:44Yeah
00:50:44The very first game
00:50:45to this game
00:50:46okay they won
00:50:47last week
00:50:48so
00:50:48He deserves to be a nominee
00:50:50Oh definitely
00:50:51yeah
00:50:51definitely
00:50:51the whole team
00:50:52I mean the wee boy
00:50:54Calvin Miller
00:50:55I'd be surprised
00:50:56if he's there
00:50:57next year
00:50:57I remember him
00:50:58when he was at Celtic
00:51:00and then he started
00:51:01moving about
00:51:01to a few clubs
00:51:02but he looks
00:51:03a real deal
00:51:04Is he a Celtic
00:51:05calibre signing
00:51:06or is it an
00:51:06Aberdeen
00:51:07a Hibs or a Harts
00:51:08that you're looking at him
00:51:08Yeah
00:51:10I agree
00:51:11I'd be shocked
00:51:12if Aberdeen
00:51:13Hibs and Harts
00:51:13are not looking at him
00:51:15But that'll be music
00:51:17to your ears
00:51:17if you're John McGlynn
00:51:18and the Falkirk players
00:51:19and the Falkirk supporters
00:51:19David Gray's having
00:51:20a wee
00:51:21whinge about the park
00:51:22Yeah
00:51:23absolutely it is
00:51:24What about Barney Stewart
00:51:25because
00:51:26he scored
00:51:27I think
00:51:2818 goals
00:51:29and if he'd scored
00:51:30all his chances
00:51:31last week
00:51:32he could have been 32
00:51:33Yeah
00:51:33he missed a lot
00:51:34of chances last week
00:51:35but Falkirk
00:51:36are creating
00:51:37buckets of chances
00:51:38even in the game
00:51:39at Celtic Park
00:51:40when they lost 3-1
00:51:41they had a real control
00:51:43of that game
00:51:43for long periods
00:51:44and created opportunities
00:51:45obviously against Rangers
00:51:46as well
00:51:47Can you imagine
00:51:47there's a scout
00:51:48at that game
00:51:49last week
00:51:50in Barnish Stewart
00:51:50banging them left
00:51:51over the bar
00:51:52missing sitters
00:51:54I know
00:51:54Have you ever been
00:51:54in a situation
00:51:55where somebody said
00:51:56to you
00:51:56by the way
00:51:56you're playing
00:51:57really well
00:51:57Tam
00:51:58there's a scout
00:51:58in the game
00:51:58Yes
00:51:59It was
00:52:00I'd just get
00:52:01play of the month
00:52:01for Hibs
00:52:02I was playing
00:52:03really well
00:52:03I'd scored
00:52:03a couple of goals
00:52:04at Parkhead
00:52:04and
00:52:05there was a bit
00:52:06in the paper
00:52:07that Man City
00:52:08were up to watch me
00:52:09and it was
00:52:09Asa Hartford
00:52:10was the Man City
00:52:11scout
00:52:11and we were playing
00:52:12in a mid-week game
00:52:15and I had an
00:52:16absolute shocker
00:52:17we could beat
00:52:184-1 at home
00:52:19I had a stinker
00:52:19and I think
00:52:20wee Asa left at
00:52:21half time
00:52:21after watching
00:52:22my first half
00:52:23but you're right
00:52:23sometimes you're
00:52:24better not knowing
00:52:25who's watching
00:52:25you just go out
00:52:26and play your game
00:52:27wee Asa
00:52:27when I come up to
00:52:28Edinburgh
00:52:28to watch somebody
00:52:29playing here
00:52:30did something
00:52:32that's for our
00:52:33late night
00:52:33football show
00:52:34when Ruffy
00:52:35tells us
00:52:35exactly what
00:52:36the score was
00:52:36there
00:52:36but nevertheless
00:52:38OK
00:52:39Falkirk
00:52:39Hibs
00:52:40I think it's
00:52:41again
00:52:42Falkirk
00:52:43at home
00:52:43for me
00:52:44I think
00:52:45they're going
00:52:45to take
00:52:45Hibs
00:52:45I'm going
00:52:46Falkirk
00:52:46to win
00:52:47comfortably
00:52:472-0
00:52:48I'm sitting
00:52:49on the fence
00:52:50I'm going to
00:52:50go one each
00:52:51Have you ever
00:52:51tipped anybody
00:52:52to beat
00:52:52Hibs this season
00:52:53I don't think
00:52:56he wants to
00:52:58keep getting
00:52:58his hospitality
00:52:59for free
00:53:00I'm going to
00:53:01go for two
00:53:01each Peter
00:53:01I think there's
00:53:02goals in this
00:53:02game
00:53:02I think there's
00:53:04goals in it
00:53:05two each
00:53:05I'll go for
00:53:05can I just
00:53:06ask you this
00:53:06do you think
00:53:07Hibs then
00:53:07finish above
00:53:08Falkirk
00:53:10yes
00:53:11because
00:53:13Falkirk
00:53:13have got to
00:53:14go to
00:53:14Hearts
00:53:15and then
00:53:15they've got
00:53:16Rangers at
00:53:16home
00:53:17so I think
00:53:18Hibs might
00:53:18just nick it
00:53:20Kev says
00:53:21wouldn't it
00:53:21be great
00:53:22I must not
00:53:22lose game
00:53:23for Hibs
00:53:23wouldn't it
00:53:24be great
00:53:24to see
00:53:24Falkirk
00:53:25in Europe
00:53:25what a
00:53:25great thing
00:53:26that would
00:53:26be for
00:53:26Scottish
00:53:27football
00:53:27said Kev
00:53:28I can
00:53:29understand
00:53:29where you're
00:53:29coming from
00:53:30I'll tell you
00:53:31what would be
00:53:31great for
00:53:31Scottish
00:53:31football
00:53:32if Scottish
00:53:32clubs
00:53:33could actually
00:53:33get to
00:53:33group stages
00:53:35on a regular
00:53:35basis
00:53:36and boost
00:53:37their
00:53:37coefficient
00:53:37Ruffy
00:53:38yeah
00:53:38do something
00:53:39you know
00:53:39but obviously
00:53:40they've been
00:53:40disappointing
00:53:41I'm talking
00:53:42about the
00:53:42big teams
00:53:42I'm talking
00:53:43about Aberdeen
00:53:44Hibs
00:53:44I'm talking
00:53:44about Hearts
00:53:45as well
00:53:45any time
00:53:46they go into
00:53:47Europe
00:53:47we look for
00:53:48them to do
00:53:48something
00:53:49then they've
00:53:50failed
00:53:51miserably
00:53:51so let's
00:53:52hope we can
00:53:53change that
00:53:54Kenny says
00:53:55Tam scored a
00:53:56brilliant goal
00:53:56at Ibrox
00:53:57good for you
00:53:57Tam
00:53:58it was a
00:53:59belter
00:53:59it was a
00:53:59volley as
00:54:00well Tam
00:54:01I remember
00:54:02looking at it
00:54:02and thinking
00:54:03oof he's hit
00:54:04that sweetly
00:54:04I think I was
00:54:05voted the
00:54:05second best
00:54:06goal of all
00:54:07time
00:54:07who was the
00:54:07goalie
00:54:08what
00:54:10it's not
00:54:10the SPL
00:54:11now
00:54:11so the SPL
00:54:12ran for
00:54:12I don't know
00:54:13how many years
00:54:13it was the
00:54:14second best goal
00:54:15guess what the
00:54:16first one was
00:54:17Larson
00:54:17no
00:54:20Jim Hamilton's
00:54:21volley for
00:54:21Motherwell
00:54:22against Celtic
00:54:23who was in
00:54:24goals for
00:54:25Rangers
00:54:25aren't they
00:54:26Champions League
00:54:27winner
00:54:27Stefan Klos
00:54:28I think he
00:54:28got a wee
00:54:28snap
00:54:29and a
00:54:29way back
00:54:29out
00:54:29did you see
00:54:30how rough
00:54:30he was
00:54:30trying to
00:54:30belittle
00:54:31your volley
00:54:31you were
00:54:32wouldn't you
00:54:33he's voted
00:54:35Rangers
00:54:35all time
00:54:36goalkeeper
00:54:37Andy Gorham
00:54:38who
00:54:39Klos
00:54:39yeah
00:54:40I'll double
00:54:41check that
00:54:42by the way
00:54:42because that
00:54:42could be
00:54:43is that
00:54:44confirmed
00:54:44do you
00:54:45think
00:54:45that
00:54:45no
00:54:46I'm
00:54:46going to
00:54:46check
00:54:46that
00:54:47by the way
00:54:48can I
00:54:48just say
00:54:48Paul Brady

00:59:42it too
00:59:43okay give us
00:59:44your thoughts
00:59:45other games
00:59:47Aberdeen
00:59:47Dundee
00:59:47United
00:59:48United keen
00:59:49to finish
00:59:49the top
00:59:50of the
00:59:50sixth lot
00:59:50Stephen
00:59:51Robinson
00:59:51says he's
00:59:52got a list
00:59:52of who's
00:59:53staying
00:59:53and who's
00:59:53going
00:59:53I fancy
00:59:55Aberdeen
00:59:55strongly
00:59:55I'm not
00:59:56putting a kiss
00:59:57of death
00:59:57on them
00:59:57I think
00:59:57they've
00:59:57definitely
00:59:58improved
00:59:58under Stephen
00:59:59Robinson
00:59:59we spoke
01:00:00about it
01:00:00he just
01:00:01they ticked
01:00:02a lot of
01:00:02boxes for
01:00:02that football
01:00:03club
01:00:03and I think
01:00:04you'll see
01:00:04the best
01:00:04Aberdeen
01:00:05next season
01:00:05once he
01:00:06gets
01:00:06I think
01:00:07they'll be
01:00:07a big
01:00:07clear out
01:00:07there
01:00:08I think
01:00:08they'll be
01:00:08seven
01:00:09eight
01:00:09nine
01:00:09possibly
01:00:10ten
01:00:10out
01:00:10and the
01:00:11same
01:00:11number
01:00:11in
01:00:12should
01:00:12we feel
01:00:13vindicated
01:00:13and should
01:00:14we leather
01:00:15the Aberdeen
01:00:15fans
01:00:16that gave us
01:00:16delters
01:00:17I think
01:00:17we all
01:00:17get a wee
01:00:18bit of
01:00:18stick
01:00:18for suggesting
01:00:19him
01:00:19when he was
01:00:19at St
01:00:20Mern
01:00:20but I
01:00:20think
01:00:20you'll
01:00:21find
01:00:21that
01:00:22he's
01:00:22maybe
01:00:23not
01:00:23the
01:00:23fanciest
01:00:24name
01:00:24he's
01:00:24no
01:00:24foreign
01:00:25name
01:00:25I think
01:00:26he'll
01:00:26get into
01:00:26Aberdeen
01:00:26and do
01:00:27a job
01:00:27and what
01:00:27about
01:00:27the
01:00:27Dons
01:00:28fans
01:00:28that we
01:00:28can't
01:00:29see
01:00:29on
01:00:29here
01:00:29who
01:00:30are
01:00:30saying
01:00:30to
01:00:30you
01:00:31two
01:00:32suggesting
01:00:32Steven
01:00:33Robinson
01:00:33and
01:00:34Neil
01:00:34Lennon
01:00:35Neil
01:00:35Lennon
01:00:35who's
01:00:36done
01:00:36firm
01:00:36one
01:00:36side
01:00:36are
01:00:37well
01:00:37ahead
01:00:37of
01:00:38time
01:00:38Scottish
01:00:38Cup
01:00:38final
01:00:39in
01:00:39the
01:00:39playoffs
01:00:41I don't
01:00:42want to
01:00:42gloat
01:00:42this is
01:00:44what you
01:00:44get here
01:00:44you get
01:00:45opinion
01:00:45and you
01:00:46get quite
01:00:46a great
01:00:47insight
01:00:47into the
01:00:48football
01:00:48roughy
01:00:48yep
01:00:49I think
01:00:50Aberdeen's
01:00:50a stonewall
01:00:51Jim Goodwin
01:00:54has been
01:00:54on record
01:00:55to say
01:00:55he spoke
01:00:55to everybody
01:00:56in his
01:00:57squad
01:00:57and told
01:00:58them
01:00:59whether
01:00:59you're
01:01:00here
01:01:00or
01:01:00you're
01:01:00not
01:01:00here
01:01:00so
01:01:01I
01:01:01don't
01:01:02think
01:01:02that's
01:01:02a
01:01:02tricky
01:01:02time
01:01:03of the
01:01:03season
01:01:03I
01:01:03think
01:01:04with
01:01:04players
01:01:04out of
01:01:04contract
01:01:05I'm
01:01:05going to
01:01:06go
01:01:06Aberdeen
01:01:062-1
01:01:06what about
01:01:07you
01:01:07what
01:01:09that's
01:01:09the
01:01:09first
01:01:10time
01:01:10you've
01:01:10gone
01:01:10above
01:01:10three
01:01:11goals
01:01:11this
01:01:11season
01:01:13I'll
01:01:13go
01:01:134-0
01:01:15Aberdeen
01:01:16I'll
01:01:17think
01:01:17Aberdeen
01:01:18will
01:01:18tank them
01:01:19brilliant
01:01:204-0
01:01:22let's
01:01:22wait and
01:01:23see
01:01:24Dundee
01:01:25against
01:01:25Livingston
01:01:25what do
01:01:26you make
01:01:26of this
01:01:26Marvin
01:01:27Bartley
01:01:27forced
01:01:27to resign
01:01:28on a
01:01:28point of
01:01:28principle
01:01:29because
01:01:29they've
01:01:29moved
01:01:30the
01:01:30goalpost
01:01:30they said
01:01:31to him
01:01:31he'd be
01:01:32looking
01:01:32forward
01:01:32to next
01:01:32season
01:01:33as
01:01:33manager
01:01:33after
01:01:34a couple
01:01:35of
01:01:36discussions
01:01:36and
01:01:37then
01:01:37suddenly
01:01:37he's
01:01:37got
01:01:38to
01:01:40reapply
01:01:40for
01:01:40his
01:01:40position
01:01:41It's not
01:01:41something I thought
01:01:42would have
01:01:43happened with
01:01:43Davy Martindale
01:01:44being there
01:01:44I think
01:01:45Davy Martindale
01:01:46pretty honest
01:01:47guy
01:01:48and I
01:01:49don't know
01:01:49who's made
01:01:49the decision
01:01:50for them
01:01:50maybe the
01:01:51owners
01:01:51I don't
01:01:52know who
01:01:52it is
01:01:53but for
01:01:53that to
01:01:54happen
01:01:54he's
01:01:54quite
01:01:55right
01:01:56he's
01:01:57done a
01:01:57reasonable
01:01:57job
01:01:58I know
01:01:58a lot
01:01:58of them
01:01:58were a lot
01:01:59of
01:01:59draws
01:01:59in there
01:01:59but
01:02:00he certainly
01:02:01picked
01:02:01them up
01:02:01and gave
01:02:01them
01:02:02something
01:02:02to sing
01:02:02about
01:02:03it's a
01:02:04tough
01:02:04one
01:02:04to
01:02:04take
01:02:04but
01:02:05football
01:02:05nowadays
01:02:06these
01:02:06kind
01:02:07of
01:02:07people
01:02:07make
01:02:07these
01:02:07decisions
01:02:08I think
01:02:09it's
01:02:09unfortunate
01:02:10for
01:02:10Marvin
01:02:10I think
01:02:11Levinson
01:02:11have
01:02:11definitely
01:02:12improved
01:02:12under
01:02:12him
01:02:12I think
01:02:13they've
01:02:13been
01:02:13a
01:02:14big
01:02:14disappointment
01:02:15for him
01:02:16and his
01:02:16assistant
01:02:17Six draws
01:02:18and a win
01:02:18Yeah
01:02:19I think
01:02:19they've
01:02:20not been
01:02:20far away
01:02:20at all
01:02:21so I
01:02:21think
01:02:22you know
01:02:22Levinson's
01:02:23a weird
01:02:23club but
01:02:24you've
01:02:24seen this
01:02:24before
01:02:25players
01:02:25coming in
01:02:26and out
01:02:26managers
01:02:26coming in
01:02:27and out
01:02:27I don't
01:02:28think
01:02:28they've
01:02:28covered
01:02:32Neil
01:02:34Hastings
01:02:35so I
01:02:35think
01:02:36it's
01:02:36been
01:02:36poor
01:02:36I
01:02:36I
01:02:37think
01:02:37they deserve
01:02:37better
01:02:38for what
01:02:38they've
01:02:38done
01:02:38And you
01:02:39and I
01:02:39had a
01:02:39great
01:02:40time
01:02:40last
01:02:40week
01:02:40I've
01:02:40got to
01:02:40mention
01:02:41it
01:02:41again
01:02:41we had
01:02:42a great
01:02:42time up
01:02:42at
01:02:43Dundee
01:02:43Ruffy
01:02:44I have
01:02:45to say
01:02:45I don't
01:02:46know if it
01:02:46was a
01:02:46home or
01:02:47audience
01:02:47but that's
01:02:48the best
01:02:49I've heard
01:02:49you
01:02:49you went
01:02:50down
01:02:50an
01:02:50absolute
01:02:50storm
01:02:51lots
01:02:51of new
01:02:51material
01:02:52you'd
01:02:52written
01:02:52a lot
01:02:53of new
01:02:53stuff
01:02:53I did
01:02:53some
01:02:53Dundee
01:02:54stuff
01:02:54in
01:02:54there
01:02:54it
01:02:54was a
01:02:55perfect
01:02:55audience
01:02:55and
01:02:55Steven
01:02:56Presley
01:02:56story
01:02:57so
01:02:57it can
01:02:58be
01:02:59done
01:02:59you
01:02:59can
01:02:59change
01:03:00yourself
01:03:05what do you
01:03:06make of that
01:03:06of you
01:03:06that's no
01:03:07answer
01:03:07to that
01:03:08rough
01:03:09rough
01:03:10I wouldn't
01:03:11even attempt
01:03:11to defend
01:03:12myself
01:03:13when you're
01:03:14getting
01:03:14twice as
01:03:14many
01:03:15gibbs
01:03:15as him
01:03:15you just
01:03:16keep
01:03:16going
01:03:19I
01:03:19spoke to
01:03:20Steven
01:03:20Presley
01:03:21and he
01:03:22mentioned
01:03:22he thinks
01:03:22he needs
01:03:23just one
01:03:23more
01:03:24win
01:03:25and I
01:03:26think he's
01:03:27I think
01:03:27he's got
01:03:28more than
01:03:28enough
01:03:28there
01:03:28I think
01:03:28they'll
01:03:29get that
01:03:30the weekend
01:03:30I'm going
01:03:31to go
01:03:33actually
01:03:333-0
01:03:34Dundee
01:03:34I think
01:03:35I'll go
01:03:362-0
01:03:36Dundee
01:03:362-0
01:03:37Dundee
01:03:37by the way
01:03:39there's a
01:03:39great point
01:03:39from Kenny
01:03:40just before
01:03:40we chuck
