00:00J-Y, that's exactly who I picked in the WNBA championship, the Atlanta Dream.
00:04I think a plus 650, it's not just a great bet.
00:07I think Atlanta has the potential to be the best team in the W.
00:11The Dream last season finished with the second-best point differential,
00:15the second-best net rating.
00:17They were much closer to the Lynx than they actually were to the third team.
00:22Now, they just got caught by a Vegas team in terms of the standings
00:27who couldn't lose, and then they blew things in round number one
00:30against the Indiana Fever.
00:31But that Dream group were contenders last season.
00:35And the Angel-Reese-Brittany-Griner swap,
00:40I think based on where those two players are at their career, absolutely works.
00:46And Alicia Gray broke out to a completely different level last season,
00:50first-team All-W, and if that continues, that is exciting.
00:55Because I still think Ryan Howard's the best player on this team.
00:59I think Ryan Howard, just kind of looking around, seeing some rankings.
01:02I know the efficiency isn't incredible, but she shoots the modern NBA, you know, shot diet.
01:1115 field goal attempts, nine of them, almost 10 of them are coming from beyond the arc.
01:15She can guard it as well.
01:17And that's the thing for Atlanta.
01:18They are going to be able to guard on a very consistent basis, I believe, J-Y,
01:23in this league.
01:24Carl Simesco, maybe you know him more, was the coach over for Florida Gulf Coast for years.
01:30And he was sensational there.
01:32I mean, consistently won the A-Sun.
01:34Atlanta gave him a chance.
01:36And in year number one, I think you have to be pretty pleased with those results.
01:39I think Atlanta has a great opportunity to touch on some of these other favorites that you mentioned.
01:45I took the Liberty under 32 and a half for a win total because Sav's already out.
01:52Satu's not, you know, ready to go from jump street here.
01:56Stewie and Jonquil each missed double-digit games last season.
01:59Maybe that becomes more of a thing.
02:01Brand new head coach.
02:02It's not that I think the Liberty are overrated, but I don't know if the Liberty should be the favorites
02:09to get the number one seed.
02:10And I think there could be better prices on the Liberty throughout the year.
02:14I am a little surprised Vegas isn't the favorite.
02:17Based on, and you heard what kind of coach said.
02:19They ran back the championship winning team while adding a Kennedy Carter,
02:24who a lot of people think could contend for sixth woman of the year.
02:28So Vegas feels super legit.
02:32Minnesota is one of the weirdest teams in the league.
02:35Fee missed enough games last year where you think, oh, they could probably figure it out.
02:39They didn't, it's not just Nafisha Collier being hurt.
02:43Alana Smith is a wing, right?
02:46Bridget Carlton is gone.
02:47They lost a lot of it.
02:49And the Courtney Williams, Olivia Miles fit is going to take some time probably.
02:55Because it's not like either girl is sitting out there to, or either woman is out there to, you know,
03:01stretch the floor and shoot a bunch of threes.
03:04The one other thing I'll add just quickly with the Indiana Fever, JY.
03:08And I don't think there's any value, and there's probably never going to be, unfortunately.
03:14But I think Caitlin Clark absolutely can win league MVP this year.
03:17I look at the way that roster is set up.
03:20Clark is, if she stays healthy, in line for by far the best season of her young WNBA career.
03:29Yeah, I think she's lined up for it.
03:31I think, you know, this is going to be a pivotal year.
03:33Listen, the turnovers have to come down to three-fourth percentage has to go up.
03:37Right?
03:37But I think it's possible she has a big year.
03:40You mentioned Carl Smith ago with Atlanta Dream.
03:43I want to make sure I give a shout-out to Jose Fernandez, who's now in Dallas.
03:48This is a guy that was at USF, a hell of a coach.
03:51You talk to a lot of coaches, and I know a lot of coaches.
03:53They talk so glowingly of Jose and what he's going to do.
03:57Watch Dallas, folks.
03:58If they can figure out how Paige, Arike, and AZ can play together,
04:03Alana Smith cleans up a lot of the mess.
04:06Matty Seagrass is a very, very much underrated four.
04:12Dallas could be that team, Kevin, in a Western Conference that takes that next jump up.
04:18They are going to be a team to watch and going to be exciting to watch them play this year.
