02:44then you've got like another huge contract on the horizon when millions hundreds of millions of
02:49dollars are on the line you make I know that whole long-term decision but if you're Tatum I'm not

02:57he made the wrong decision in all this he did say he could play in the second round right he

03:02the fact that he would have been okay to come back so I never said he should have never said

03:05and then I think one thing that Garnett is pointing out there is that it was shocking and Jalen Brown
03:11said he didn't find out until 45 minutes before the game so I think it was on Twitter arcane like

03:17hours before yeah so how did he not find out right away and if how close are those two if

03:22telling them you know like you shoot him a text message or something or he's pissed at the organization
03:26but that if you don't find out if you're Jalen Brown and you don't know until 45 minutes before tip

03:43staff took the decision out of Jason Tatum's hands regarding his participation in game seven I
03:48don't know how Missoula has any kind of I didn't seem like a call that Missoula when he blew his
03:53Achilles was saying get up was or was that a different injury or when we were just like shouting at
03:57that was a different injury do you think if Tatum would have came to Missoula and said
04:00I'm playing he would have said no no we're taking it out of your hands Tatum I mean Missoula's a
04:04psycho he would have put anybody out there I also think that if Tatum says he's going to play there
04:08they would let him play I honestly do totally unless the owner came down and was just like I am
04:13protecting my investment get your ass on the bench you are not playing but doesn't basic common
04:17sense dictate that they asked him how are you feeling Jason do you feel like you can go or not

04:22said I don't know my knee's swollen I don't think I can't like stiff I just I can't imagine that

04:26something that only came from the doctors and that Jason Tatum was just like hey whatever you
04:30guys think like they had to ask him how he's feeling are you comfortable can you plant can you
04:34jump can you do this can you do that and he gave him answers that whatever if that's if that's

04:39you want to look at it but I don't think he was fighting to go on the court and they
04:43told him no
04:43you can't how about this they know that they played the last couple games before that game seven and
04:48at the end of game six it looked like they had no answers like none and it's round one and

04:53Jason Tatum aren't you leaning more towards I'm gonna try to protect my future than as if it was
04:59game seven in the eastern conference finals of course yeah I mean doesn't everything change

05:50think that there was some malpractice there I feel awful for Isaiah Thomas I truly think that he could

06:05insinuated or or there was like a family member that said something of his and I remember thinking back
06:10to that and going yeah it sure did seem like things weren't things were done I always thought it was
06:14weird that people were mad at the Celtics for that like if it was the medical staff fine but
06:17like everyone's like oh the Celtics did him so dirty they traded him to Cleveland to go play in
06:21a dynasty with LeBron James like that wasn't they didn't send him to Siberia it's different they
06:25traded him somewhere where he could win another rate you know like I thought that was a little
06:29odd how that got framed because if you ruined his career then it robbed him of being able to get

06:51though will stick with Tatum like no not among everybody and probably not Celtics fans but like
06:55Jay Cutler remember he's known for not finishing the game in the NFC title game 15 years ago so and
07:01that's when you think about Jay Cutler it comes right to my mind no this is not like I'm trying

07:48and the Celtics from back in the day are probably like you can't even breathe on somebody we were
07:52throwing basketballs at each other's faces getting in fights with the crowd you know so I I think that
07:56this was just more also of like you know like we had it tougher than you did and we fought

08:02pain and you know it's like your grandpa bragging about how tough it used to be but don't you think
08:05different mindsets though I mean don't you think it's interesting that Jalen almost had Garnett
08:09on his twitch then he didn't right then the next day Garnett comes out and what's the what is he
08:14talking about he's talking about Jalen not having Tatum in game seven Jalen seems to have a lot of I'm
08:19gonna have somebody on my twitch and then doesn't have them on so you almost start to think whether
08:23he's just a guy who just throws stuff out there and thinks that by throwing it out there someone's
08:26gonna go oh wow that sounds like a great idea before even asking them and lining them up yeah
08:30he said he invited Tatum on the stream that's what I'm talking about couldn't do it yeah he's
08:34like yeah I can't do it I got two kids or whatever but yeah that that never happened so yeah

08:38Garnett was a featured guest he put out a big thing that sorry can't do it now he's uh now

08:42talking to Paul Pierce maybe Jalen just had no idea that Deuce was a person like that there was just
08:48having to be a little kid running around the court he had no idea that it was Jason Tatum's like
08:51how are you surprised that he has a family oh sorry I didn't realize he had a family he can't

08:58with me it's the worst excuse you expect Jalen to keep twitching all summer or is he done I expect
09:04people to stop paying attention like everyone's paying attention now because Eagles talking about
09:10trade rumors I mean well I mean listen we're gonna find out you know around the draft and everything

09:48yeah what was your thoughts on that I think he didn't take the time to breathe to breathe a little
09:53bit you know emotions be high when you lose like that you know you just you own one still in

09:59moment you still like the adrenaline and stuff like that so he got a lot of criticism but you know

10:05told his truth so like if he felt that way he said it and a lot of people didn't want

10:11how he felt so like why is everybody all mad that he felt that in b flops or this is

10:19best year he loved it more than any other year like and we supposed to say no you supposed to

10:25this year better than that year like dude you don't know what he's been through every season and going
10:30through right now for you to like criticize that on how he feels you know what I I want to

10:37opinion on this because yesterday Christian I told Ted I was like this whole thing about Jalen Brown
10:43saying that this was his favorite season reminds me so much of the story that came out after the
10:50Matt Cassell season with the page Belichick yeah where Belichick great analogy yeah where Belichick
10:56the story came out that Belichick apparently had been telling people after the season that Brady was
11:02out and Matt and Matt Matt Cassell was in there and um and they ended up barely not making the
11:08playoffs and he was telling friends of his that that was his favorite season despite the fact he
11:14had already won several championships at that point and doesn't it all like almost like I it's
11:20almost identical situations to Jalen Brown you had a situation where the star the man was gone and
11:27you got to be the man yep you know it was always is it Brady or is it Belichick you
11:30got to show the
11:31world that you can do a pretty damn good job on top of that your season ended in truly what
11:37could
11:37be looked at as disappointment you didn't make the playoffs and you know with Bill not making the
11:42playoffs and then you had of course here a situation where you blew this 3-1 lead historic fashion and
11:49you still went around bragging that that was your best season and it just says to me I think that
11:54these
11:54people get so caught up in their own greatness that for a while they just forget when you say that
12:00stuff it's just it's nothing but it seems like a shot at the people who weren't there yeah and it
12:04was I mean I think it absolutely is it was for Bill and Bill had three Super Bowls at that
12:08point so at
12:09the very least he could say hey you know I got this resume I can say whatever I want Jalen
12:13Brown has one
12:14and it was one that he was key to I mean he was the conference finals MVP and the finals
12:19MVP played a
12:20huge role in it but that whole season you remember he was crying about sacrifices that he had to make
12:24and
12:24now he was just so miserable and they wants to show everybody what he can really do and he
12:30has to do that had one of the worst postseason collapses any teams ever had and it's going on
12:35and on about how great it was like as a fan as a fan you almost wonder like well what's
12:40what's the
12:40end game here what what are we supposed to think about this if this was your favorite season then
12:45are we going to have more seasons like this with you like is this what is this what like the
12:49top of
12:49the mountain is for you if so then what are we rooting for you for like what's the point of
12:52this and
12:53the castle season you remember the Ian O'Connor book where there was a clip in there from an
12:56anonymous Patriots coach who said give us any top 15 quarterback we could win the Super Bowl
13:00which was probably Chris Sims or I don't know you know that was who but that's Bill probably the
13:06castle season convinced Bill he could win without Brady years later yep so the danger here is the
13:11Jalen his most his favorite season has now convinced him beyond a shadow of doubt he wants out he wants
13:16on his own away from Tatum because he had more fun when he had young guys and he was the
13:20man right
13:20I mean the parallel is pretty perfect because I mean because there does anybody doubt that that
13:25was the moment that Belichick said I can do it without Brady right so but the only problem is is
13:30now he's got to start thinking about the reality of going to a team that could suck and not have
13:36not
13:37be as well run um have a fan base that is you know aggressive and that demands a decent product
13:44he's gonna demand Vucevic is there with him if the Vuce is not there I'm not going maybe well
13:49listen that's the one that's the one player he couldn't magically elevate that was another thing
13:53that it did sound like he was saying you know we got so much greatness out of these guys and
13:57I was
13:57a leader it does sound like he's taking a little bit of credit yeah for how well these other guys
14:01ended up playing and he deserves it they if this was his year to shine they screwed him they traded
14:06everybody away Horford drew uh Cornette's gone and then at the trade deadline they give you Vucevic
14:12and then they say I'll take him we're holding him out for game seven go ahead and win it Jalen
14:15yeah
14:15like that that's like mayo's treatment burn some cash Gerard we got a dollar for you
