00:00I'm here outside a polling station in Blana Gwentrumny, Cofili. It's a neighbouring constituency
00:05to Sir Venwy Torvain and it's a very interesting constituency as votes all the way over in
00:10Cofili could affect what happened in Bryn Mawr just a stone's throw away from Abergavenny.
00:15There was of course that historic by-election in Cofili last year in which Plaid Cymru humbled
00:19Reform UK and Labour. But coming into the constituency this time, just a short drive
00:24from here is Tredegar, birthplace of the NHS and home to former Westminster MPs in Ireland
00:29Bevan, of course who founded the NHS and former Labour leader Michael Foote. And the incumbent
00:35candidate for Labour, Alan Davies, has already spent 15 years in the Senedd and has strong
00:40local support. Reform does have its backers here though. Blana Gwent does have a reform
00:45counsellor and Llyr Powell, who finished second in the Cofili by-election, is top of their
00:50candidates list. So it's going to be very interesting to discover how things have panned out just
00:55up the road when we get the results tomorrow.
