00:23I don't know, really.
00:24I think the goal going against us in the first half
00:27sort of unsettled us a little bit.
00:28Obviously, going down to 10 men as well wasn't ideal.
00:32But to be honest with you, we didn't really look like scoring today,
00:34which normally we have quite a few chances in games,
00:37and I can't really count that many chances we had
00:39or clear-cut chances at all.
00:41So they're a good side.
00:42They obviously got some really experienced defenders,
00:44and I think it showed today.
00:45I think they managed the game really well.
00:48And when they got their lead, I couldn't see us scoring.
00:50So we tried a few things on the bench to try and have an impact,
00:55but, yeah, it's unfortunately just a difficult one.
00:58But you've got to look back on the season.
01:00There's a lot of pride finishing in seconds.

01:03I mean, right now, just absolutely gutted, to be honest,
01:05because I think over the course of the season,
01:08I think we did enough to get devoted.
01:10But at the end of the day, in playoffs, it's a one-off game,
01:12and we got lucky a little bit on Wednesday to get front penalties
01:15and, yeah, just didn't get the rub of the green today.
01:18But it is what it is.
01:20It's a good season, but it's a shame we didn't manage
01:23to make the most of it.
01:24How do you put the boys up for next season?
01:26Has that even entered your mind yet?
01:28No, not yet.
01:29No, we've got a cup final Tuesday as well.
01:31So we'll do that, and then we'll regroup and take it from there.
01:35I mean, everybody thought just did and watched the lift the trophy.
01:38What was going on for your mind then?
01:41Just disappointment.

01:43I think it was a great day for the club today,
01:46and it would have been a spectacular day had we gone up.
01:48But, yeah, one of those things.
01:51Unfortunately, you can't win them all,
01:53and today you just have to take your medicine.
01:55And fair play to Simon and their management team and their club.
01:58They've done a huge amount of work over at Anwood Villa
02:00to get their pitch sorted, to be ready for the promote to go up.

02:07but we were certainly hoping to do it ourselves.

02:49we sort of knew how they were going to set up.
02:51We thought we'd have some good opportunities,
02:53but, yeah, there's a little bit of lack of quality at times as well.
02:57I think we panicked a little bit on the ball,
02:58whereas normally we don't normally panic so much.
03:01But, yeah, gutting one of those things.
03:04What was the message at half-time?
03:05Because, obviously, you know, it's been tight.
03:07Hamworth and Villa are obviously big and strong in the back,

03:10What were the sort of chats at half-time?
03:11The message at half-time was to stay in the game as long as possible, really.
03:14I think we were well in it.
03:16I think there wasn't a lot in the first half.
03:17They were one goal up and maybe just about deserved it,
03:20but there wasn't a lot in it.
03:21So it was just stay in the game as long as possible
03:23and we will get a chance.
03:24But it was one of those days where we just didn't get chances, unfortunately.
03:27It's just, yeah, frustrating.
03:30Finals can come down to moments
03:31and it's, you know, a penalty, you know, opens the score, doesn't it?
03:35You know, that's sort of the moment you can't legislate for, is it?

03:41And like you said, it comes down to little moments
03:42and then when you get a team like Hamworth-Villa
03:44who've got that much experience at the back,
03:46you're really up against it when you go one goal down
03:48and you're trying to push for the game
03:49and then, yeah, obviously, finish it off with that goal.

03:56I mean, obviously, they've still got a cup final to come on Tuesday,
03:58but what was sort of the message there sort of afterwards?
04:00Yeah, I think the message is just to stay, keep your heads up,
04:03be proud of what you've done.
04:04You've done pretty much every record at the club this season,
04:07so they need to be proud of that.
04:08But it'll be a good learning experience for quite a few of the boys.
04:12There's some young 20s, young 20-year-olds in there,
04:15or 23, 22, so they'll have all good opportunities.
04:18But, yeah, keep your head up.
04:21Obviously, not much consolation right now,
04:22but obviously a really good day for the club off the pitch today,
04:25isn't it? Record attendance and everything like that.

04:31it'd be nice to finish with a cup to end the season there, wouldn't it?

04:43but we've beaten a few good sides in that cup,
