00:00Health officials think they've tracked down the source of the deadly Hantavirus outbreak aboard
00:04the MV Hondias cruise ship. Two passengers who died from the virus likely contracted the infection
00:08while birdwatching in Argentina and then boarded the ship after being infected, spreading it to
00:13other passengers. The Dutch couple who died visited a landfill as part of a birdwatching
00:18tour near the southern tip of Argentina. Authorities believe it was there that they
00:22contracted the virus from a rodent. But there's a big hole in this theory, and health officials
00:26admit it. There has never been a recorded case of the virus in the area where this couple visited.
00:32We're also learning more about how and when the virus spread on board. The Dutchman who first fell
00:37ill on April 6th died on April 11th. At the time, there was no suspicion of Hantavirus. His body
00:43stayed on board for two weeks, and during which his wife became ill. Now, she flew with her husband's
00:48body to Johannesburg, South Africa on April 25th, and she passed away the day after she arrived.
00:54Eight more people got sick over the next two weeks. Three of those who were evacuated from the ship
00:59were flown to the Netherlands for treatment, one of whom was the ship's doctor. We also learned that
01:0423 passengers left the vessel and returned home all over the world, including here in the U.S.,
01:11two weeks ago, before anyone knew what was going on, and one of them is already sick. The ship itself
01:16hasn't been allowed to dock anywhere as of yet, and the 150 passengers left on board so far
01:21have been thankfully asymptomatic. Negotiations to end the war with Iran are reportedly progressing,
01:27but that doesn't mean it's quite time to break out the special pens for a treaty signing
01:31just yet. The Post's Washington reporter Caitlin Dornbaugh spoke to the president about it all,
01:37and she filled me in. He told me that we are not quite to the point of needing another round
01:42of
01:42in-person negotiations in Pakistan for a deal with Iran, but there is considerable progress being made,
01:49and that is coming in the form of a number of one-page documents. They're trying to decide which one
01:55they're going to select, but a number of one-page documents that actually lay out several demands
02:01that the U.S. and Iran could use to establish a framework for a peace deal. Now, of topics of
02:09discussion are that enriched uranium that still is beneath the surface of Iran following the strikes
02:19on Iranian nuclear sites last summer. Also, how long Iran will go without enriching more uranium.
02:28Now, the president wants them never to enrich uranium again, but maybe a five-year moratorium,
02:3615-year moratorium. We still don't have details on exactly which one will be selected. But a number
02:44of these issues are coming up, and it is showing some semblance of progress in the peace negotiations
02:52as they stand. While all those machinations continue, another big player has entered the fray,
02:56China. Iran's foreign minister, Abbas Aragqi, met with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in Beijing on
03:02Wednesday, and was urged to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Wang reportedly said, quote,
03:08China believes that a comprehensive cessation of hostilities should not be delayed. Any reigniting
03:14of hostilities is even less desirable, and sticking to negotiations is particularly important.
03:19How important? Well, by some estimates, more than a third of China's oil is shipped through the
03:24strait. This is also a big deal because President Trump is heading to Beijing next week to meet with
03:29President Xi Jinping, and Iran is going to hang heavy above that meeting. A suicide note allegedly
03:35penned by Jeffrey Epstein was released to the media by a New York court on Wednesday evening.
03:40The writing is scrawled on what looks like lined legal paper, and you can hardly make out the word. So,
03:46bear in mind, this is barely legible. So, it looks like it reads, quote,
03:51They investigated me for months, found nothing. So, 16-year-old charges results. It is a treat to
03:58be able to choose one's time to say goodbye. What you want me to do? Burst out crying. No fun.
04:05Not
04:06worth it. The note was purportedly written after Epstein tried to hang himself in his Manhattan jail
04:10cell in July 2019, just days after his arrest for sex trafficking. He was unsuccessful in that attempt
04:17and blamed his cellmate, disgraced cop and convicted quadruple murderer, Nicholas Tartaglione. Tartaglione
04:23found the note and then gave it to his lawyers as apparent proof that he didn't try to kill the
04:28disgraced financier. The New York Times pushed for the note's release and verified it as being
04:32written by Epstein. For more on these stories and everything else you could possibly want to know,
