00:00A cruise ship hit by the Hantavirus outbreak has docked in the Netherlands for disinfection.
00:06The MV Hondias was carrying 25 crew members and two medical personnel as it reached the port of Rotterdam earlier
00:14today.
00:16The vessel has spent the past six days sailing from the Canary Islands,
00:20where remaining passengers were evacuated to return to more than 20 countries.
00:25Ship operator Oceanwide Expedition said no one on board experienced symptoms where the ship docked.
00:32Authorities have set up white containers along the port for the crew to immediately enter quarantine,
00:38while public health officials are expected to inspect the ship before it is allowed to sail again.
00:44Three passengers on the ship have died from the Hantavirus,
00:47including a Dutch couple believed to be the first exposed to the virus while visiting South America.
00:53At least 11 others remain infected.
00:56Over the weekend, the World Health Organization maintains its assessment of the outbreak as low risk
01:01following the implementation of control measures.
