01:21Thank you, nurses.
01:23You have one of the toughest jobs.
01:25You're the ones who have to say,
01:26Mr. President, the gown is supposed to open in the back.
01:29Yes.
01:32Yes, you're the ones who have to butter the MRI machine
01:34so that the president can squeeze in and out.
01:36You know?
01:38You're the ones who have to weigh the president
01:40and then write down the number he gives you.
01:42You know?
01:44On the bright side, doctors are the ones
01:45who have to hold his ballroom while he coughs,
01:47so that's...
01:48Whoa!
01:50Well, speaking of Trump, I read that he's now working
01:52on a one-page memo to end the war in Iran.
01:57A one-page memo.
01:59There's more paperwork involved sending your kid
02:01to a trampoline park.
02:02I mean, what is he talking about?
02:04Well, this week, the White House claimed that
02:06Operation Epic Fury was over
02:08and that they were moving on to a new phase of the war
02:11called Project Freedom.
02:13We actually got a recording of Trump and his staff
02:16talking about it in the Oval Office.
02:17Watch this.
02:18Sir, Operation Epic Fury is a bust.
02:21We need a rebrand.
02:22Any name ideas?

02:51Did you say shots?
02:52Not the drink.
02:52Aw.
02:53I give up.
02:53This is totally useless.
02:54You call us dead?
02:55No.
02:56Aw.
02:56Just name it something stupid like Project Freedom.
02:59That's pretty good.
02:59Yay!
03:00That's it.
03:01It all worked out.
03:09And did you see this?
03:11Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth just denied a report
03:13that Iran is using kamikaze dolphins in the Strait of Hormuz,
03:18but said the U.S. military might be.
03:23And if kamikaze dolphins don't work,
03:25they're gonna send in cocaine bear.
03:27So...
03:28Kamikaze dolphins?
03:29Switching gears, I saw that the sports betting company

04:49Oh, my God.
04:51Well, some entertainment news.
04:52I read that Taylor Swift just filed
04:54to trademark her voice, taking the first legal steps
04:56against A.I. and deepfakes.
04:58Ooh.
04:59Wow, maybe I should do something like that
05:00before someone steals my voice.
05:02Too late, Jimmy.
05:03Sorry.
05:04Who said that?
05:05I did, Jimmy.
05:06Unfortunately, you didn't trademark your voice,
05:08so now it's mine.
05:09Hashtag, sorry not sorry.
05:11What?
05:12Come on, man.
05:12That's my voice.
05:13You can't just steal it.
05:14Well, I can, and I did.
05:18Besides, I kinda dig it.
05:20I feel like it works with my whole vibe, you know?
05:24Can I at least buy it back?
05:25I mean, how much do you want?
05:27Hmm.
05:27Well, I am kinda hungry.
05:30How's ten bucks for a couple slices of pizza?
05:33Ten bucks?
05:34That's a little steep.
05:35What about five bucks?
05:37Let's meet in the middle.
05:39How's eight bucks?
05:41Six bucks.
05:42Seven bucks, and you throw in a root beer.
05:45Okay, deal.
05:46You want cash?
05:47Nah, just Venmo me.
05:48Thanks, I appreciate it.
05:50Enjoy the pizza.
06:00And finally, a 49-year-old man beat a world record
06:03by pulling an over 20,000-pound bust with his neck.
06:07Yeah, like everyone else, he tried to avoid touching
06:09anything on the bust with his hands.
06:10We have a great show.
06:11Give it up for The Roots right now!
06:26He's the best front man in the history of rock and roll.

07:47Within minutes, it was a trending topic in the U.S.,
07:49so thank you for playing along with us.
07:53And now I thought I'd share some of my favorite
07:55mom quotes from you guys.

08:01K-deja?
08:02She said,
08:03My mom used to say about my friend
08:05she can tuck the balls off a pool table.
08:07Oh.
08:09Wow.
08:11Is that a compliment?
08:13Yeah, I don't know. I've never heard of that one.
08:15This next one is from at John...
08:18Wait.
08:19She can tuck the balls off a pool table.
08:21There you go.
08:22Left ball, side pocket.
08:24This next one is from at JohnZimbo2.
08:27His mom once said,

08:47Thanks.
08:48Thanks, Mom.
08:50This next one is from at BirdieTweet16.
08:53She said,
08:54If I were acting up as kids, Mom would say,
08:56You better straighten up before I jerk a knot in your tail.
08:58We knew what that meant.
09:02I don't know if I know it.
09:04I don't think I know what that means.
09:05I don't know what that means.
09:06I don't know.
09:06Jerk a knot in your...
09:07I guess with the pool table.
09:11Right?
09:11I don't know, man.
09:12I don't think it has anything to do with the pool table.
09:15This next one is from at AnnieZBoy.
09:20I...
09:21She said,
09:22My mom always told me to go braless

09:42Mom and I were cooking together in the kitchen.
09:43She goofs around, slaps me in the face with a bag of hamburger buns
09:46and yells,
09:47Bunzai, Daniel-san.
09:53Bun... Bunz...
09:54Bunzai?
09:54Bunzai, yeah.
09:55Like the bun in his eye?
09:56This one...
09:58This next one is from at Olay075.
10:00He said,
10:01While messing around on the riding mower, my mom said,
10:03Hey, if you cut your leg off, don't come running to me for help.
10:09Finally, this last one is from at Brendan Burke, NRT.
10:12His mom always said,
10:13I don't lose things.
10:14I relocate them permanently.
10:16There you have it.
10:17Those are our tonight's show hashtags.

10:31I'm not sure I can pull it off.
10:33Well, you don't have to yell at me.
10:34I'm not yelling at you.
10:35You're yelling at me!
10:37And if you don't stop, you'll get booped again.
10:39That's a double boop.
10:41That's a double boop.
10:42It's a double boop.
10:43Boop.
10:44Boop.
10:57Welcome back, everybody.
11:00I was talking to someone the other day, and they brought up this show I used to do back in
11:04the 90s called Jacob's Patience.
11:06Yeah, it's a British soap opera.
11:09I've seen clips of it popping online.
11:11It was a lot of fun.
11:12But my co-star could be a little difficult.
11:15For one, he refused to use his arms in any of the scenes.
11:19He was very protective of them,
11:20so he used mannequin arms instead.
11:23And to make him more comfortable,
11:24the director made everyone use mannequin arms.
11:27It sounds crazy, but if you watched it,
11:29you'd never be able to tell.
11:31Anyway, I thought it would be fun
11:32to maybe show a clip right now.
11:34Here's Jacob's patience.
11:44APPLAUSE
11:47Hello?
11:49Hello?
11:51Hello?
11:52BUZZER
11:54BUZZER
11:54BUZZER
11:57BUZZER
11:57CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
11:59CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
12:04Oh, my God.
12:11Pleased to meet you.
12:13I hope you guessed my name.
12:15Well, it says it right there on your name tag.
12:18Tony.
12:20You're right. You got it.
12:21Welcome to Hackney Diamonds.
12:23How may I help you get that new fabulous look today?
12:27Well, Mother's Day is coming up,
12:29and I wanted to get a bracelet for my wife.
12:32Oh.
12:33You're married.
12:34Yeah, I'm married.
12:36That's shocking. You look so single.
12:41Well, as you can see, you have many lovely braces here.
12:45There's quite a variety of styles.
12:47Oh, they look nice.
12:48Oh, be careful.
12:50Depending on your taste and budget.
12:53There's so much to choose from.
12:55It's...
12:56It's hard to just pick just...
12:59It's hard to pick just one.
13:01Hmm.
13:02Well, maybe your wife...
13:06...would like a nice diamond bracelet.
13:09Yeah, well, diamonds are a girl's best friend.
13:12Now, this one's a beauty. Just let me get that for you.
13:14Oh, yeah.
13:15That one there at the end, that looks...
13:17That looks pretty.
13:19Oh!
13:20The diamonds are flawless.
13:22Just have a look for yourself.
13:24Oh, let me see.
13:27Just one moment while I grab my look.
13:31Almost got it.
13:32It's a slippery little guy.
13:35Oh, sorry. You need help with that?
13:37No. No, I can get it.
13:39All right. Okay.
13:40Now, here, take a look.
13:49Maybe if you stay still...
13:50Oh, yeah. Wow.
13:52That's a beautiful diamond.
13:54The quality is... Thank you.
13:55The quality is impeccable.
13:56Yes, well, it can be all yours for $5,000.
13:59Well, that's a bit more than I was hoping to spend.
14:02You know what they say?
14:04You can't always get what you want.
14:09Don't do that.
14:12Anyway, maybe a quick polish will help you change your mind.
14:17This is quite a powerful machine.
14:20It really makes those diamonds shine.
14:22And that's the difference between a good diamond and a hackney diamond.
14:27You might have gotten it there, yeah.
14:29Don't worry.
14:30It's just a hazardous job.
14:32Look.
14:32Here we are.
14:34Just look at this baby shine.
14:37Yeah.
14:38It's beautiful.
14:39My wife will love it.
14:41You know what?
14:43I'll take it.
14:44Wow.
14:44Excellent choice.
14:47Maybe your wife.
14:51Why should she have all the fun?
14:53Let's get something for you, too.
14:55You strike me as a kind of medallion guy.
15:00I haven't known to maybe rock a medallion from time to time.
15:03Well, we have medallions in every style to strike your fancy.
15:06We have cable.
15:07We have rope.
15:08We have snake.
15:08We have got box.
15:09We've got herringbone.
15:10And my favorite, the Figaro chain.
15:15Figaro.

15:18Figaro!
15:19Figaro!
15:23Shh!

15:38Oh, okay.
15:39How about that one over there?
15:41That one's kind of catching my eye.
15:42Mm, I knew you'd like that one.
15:44I'll grab it for you now.
15:46Yeah.
15:46All I have to do is thread the chain to the medallion and we'll be all set.
15:52Oh, yeah.
15:52Well, it looks easy.
15:54It's quite easy to do.
15:55Yeah.
15:56Wow.
15:56Here we are.
15:57It's a thing of real beauty, isn't it?
16:00Yeah.
16:00Yeah.

16:22Yeah.
16:23I don't know.
16:24I'm not sure I can pull it off.
16:26Well, you don't have to yell at me.
16:27I'm not yelling at you.
16:28You're yelling at me!
16:30And if you don't stop, you'll get booped again.
16:33That's a double boop.
16:34It's a double boop.
16:36Boop.
16:37Boop.
16:41You know what?
16:42You convinced me.
16:44I'll buy it.
16:45Well, you're in luck because we're running a special today.

16:58Now, have at it.
17:00Well, thank you, sir.
17:01I don't mind if I do.
17:03Don't be shy.
17:04Get your hands in there.

17:08I can almost taste it already.
17:10Oh!
17:11Yeah.
17:12Let me just get it.
17:13It's a little bit more.
17:14Fresh cotton candy.
17:15Mmm.
17:18Delicious.
17:19Thank you so much.
17:20Would you like a taste?

19:44You were in a nest.
19:46Yes.
19:47You were in a bird's nest, and you would play the flute
19:51or the lute.
19:52It was the lute, right?
19:53Yes.
19:53I think it was the lute.
19:54Yeah, and you had these great teeth in there,
19:56and I just remember them.
19:57They didn't really fit right.
19:59They kept falling out.
20:00And it was, gosh, you just ran with it like a pro,
20:02and I really appreciate that.
20:03Actually, I think I swallowed them.
20:05Yeah.
20:06I think you might have.
20:07We need them back.
20:08Yeah, they're expensive.
20:09But here's what I love about this.
20:11Ten days after this sketch, you won an Oscar.
20:15Come on, bud.
20:20Ten days after.
20:22That's why we love you.
20:24That's why we love you.
20:26Dignity.
20:27Dignity.
20:27Always dignity.
20:28Always, yeah.
20:30Everyone was so excited when you won.
20:31What's going through your mind when you heard your name?
20:34I was astonished.
20:35I didn't know what to expect.
20:38I know me and all the other guys were just waiting for them
20:42to just say anyone's name.
20:43It was like a piano wire of tension, you know?
20:45Does it feel like a long time?
20:47You're on a gauntlet doing that.
20:49Oh, yeah.
20:49You know, press tour, that kind of thing.
20:51And do you remember what you said?
20:53I know you thanked...
20:54I know that I got to thank everyone I did.
20:56I had a fancy speech in my pocket.
20:57I forgot everything.
20:59And I guess I made it backstage and I kind of got lost.
21:05And it's funny.
21:05I know you're surrounded by people, but they said,
21:07no, you go from stage left to stage right.
21:09And I was going behind the scrim.
21:10And suddenly there were no people there.
21:12And I'm looking at this cold, naked man holding a sword.
21:16Yeah, yeah, yeah.
21:17And then Jimmy Kimmel comes walking by.
21:22He goes, hey, you did great.
21:23And I'm like, what just happened?
21:26And he kind of just went...
21:27Yeah.
21:28You're up.
21:29And he kept going.
21:30I made it out after we did a bunch of press.
21:34And then the streets were all locked down
21:37around Hollywood Boulevard.
21:38Yeah.
21:39When you do the Oscars.
21:40And it's funny.
21:42You know, all this glitz and glam.
21:43And then behind the Kodak Theater,
21:46we were looking for the golf cart
21:47or some sort of vehicle to get us
21:50wherever we're supposed to go next.
21:51And the streets are all locked down.
21:54There are people behind wire fences.
21:56And they're all like, Brandon!
21:58And I'm like, this is my Oscar.
22:00And then I started recognizing the streets.
22:03Like, I was like, oh, wow.
22:04I think that's the alleyway that I once shot a video
22:09with Tone Loke for the movie Encino Man.
22:13Wow!
22:14I'm serious.
22:15And he...
22:16Did you think it was like a this is your life moment?
22:18Well, he contributed to this song.
22:19It was called, I think it was Cool Hand Loke.
22:22It went on the soundtrack.
22:24Wow!
22:24And for the life of me, I've been AI, Google Doogle,
22:27all this stuff.
22:28I can't find this video.
22:29Cool Hand Loke.
22:30Cool Hand Loke.
22:31I was drag racing with Tone Loke.
22:33Wow!
22:34In an alleyway.
22:35And it was that...
22:36And I beat him too.
22:37And he had the fancy car and he kept getting mad at me
22:38because I had like the souped up looking red convertible
22:42with the power shifting buttons in the front.
22:44Yeah.
22:45I don't know.
22:45It was a very altered experience.
22:47Yeah, that sounds surreal to me.
22:49Yeah, to be holding an Oscar.
22:50That's what happened blow by blow.
22:51But I mean, man, you were great in The Whale.
22:54And you had Sadie Sink was your daughter in the film.
22:57And she's fantastic as well.
22:58She's fantastic.
22:59We love...
22:59And right now, she is playing the part she was born to.
23:04And it was written by William Shakespeare.
23:05She's on the list stand right now as Juliet.
23:08That's right.
23:09She's doing Romeo and Juliet.
23:10Good for Sadie.
23:10Sadie, we love you.
23:14Well, there's some pretty big news that's kind of breaking
23:16the internet regarding you.
23:19People are saying that you're getting another Mummy film
23:21back together.
23:22Is this true?
23:23Or are you doing another?
23:24You are doing it.
23:31What do we know about it so far?
23:33Is there anything you're allowed to tell?
23:35Well, we're going to get the band back together.
23:37Yes.
23:37The only way to do it, right?
23:39Yeah, of course.
23:40So we're going to give the audience what they have been bothering
23:45all of us for for the last 20-whatever years.
23:47Did you ever think they were going to do this?
23:49I was hopeful for a long while.
23:51And then I was like, no, I don't know if they are.
23:54You know, other Mummy movies got made.
23:56But anyway, look, what we're going to do is saddle back up,
24:01go back to the locations.
24:03I should probably stop talking like this.
24:05Okay, all right.
24:05Okay, yeah.
24:07However, I know that...
24:08Please wish me luck.
24:09I'm doing my best to get this 57-year-old gear in shape.
24:14Oh, my God.
24:16You know how to do it, buddy.
24:17You know how to do it.
24:18I cannot wait.
24:19I heard that to get you in character for the role,
24:23that Universal took you to your ride.
24:26You have a ride, the Mummy ride at Universal Studios.
24:30Here you are.
24:31And look at that.
24:32Can you spot me?
24:34You are there.
24:35This is right as the guy goes,
24:36Don't wear your hat.
24:37It'll get blown off.
24:39Yeah.
24:39It's one of the best rides, by the way.
24:42Every time I go to Universal, I make sure to go on this ride.
24:45I always take my kids on it.
24:46This is the best ride because there's a surprise in the ride.
24:50I don't want to spoil it for anybody.
24:51But I have a ride as well.
24:53You do?
24:54Yeah.
24:54And I haven't been on it yet.
24:58I'd like to.
24:59Perhaps.
25:00You haven't been on it yet?
25:01I have not been on it.
25:01Well, you have to go on it.
25:02I know I do.
25:03It's the most fun.
25:04You're going to really love it.
25:05I'll be there.
25:06Count on it.
25:07You can wear your hat on my ride.
25:09But I just love that you went on this.
25:11It's one of the best rides ever.
25:13This is Crusher.
25:14Already it's happening.
25:15The Mummy is coming back.
25:16I cannot wait to see it.
25:19But we're here to talk about your new film called Pressure.
25:23In this film you play Dwight D. Eisenhower during World War II.
25:27It's a true story about a huge part of the war and it came down to one guy, the weatherman.
25:35I didn't know that the premise of this movie was that in 1944 on Monday, June 5th, that was D
25:42-Day originally and inbound weather was awful.
25:46Troops would not have been able to land safely if they were not already under peril, which clearly they were.
25:52But for a boulder in the stream type of performance from Andrew Scott, let me tell you.
26:01He played a meteorologist who came forward and told the Joint Chiefs of Staff that weekend before that they needed
26:08to delay or else there would have been absolute disaster.
26:13And so this is the weekend before D-Day and all of the conversations that take place.
26:18Now, we all know that D-Day was Tuesday, June 6th, 1944.
26:23And that was because they had delayed for about 14 hours, 16 hours to land in Operation Overlord in Normandy
26:36with some 130,000 troops.
26:39And they did so safely by taking advantage of a gap in the weather.
26:45Really?
26:46Yeah, of some, I don't know, like 12 or 14 hours.
26:49And that's when those troops went.
26:51Otherwise, they would have had to wait until the 18th when the moon had changed cycles, the tides would have
26:58risen differently.
26:59And clearly, the enemy would have known they were on their way.
27:03But as it turns out, the enemy thought they'd be crazy to attack in weather like this.
27:08But Eisenhower said, we're going on the advice of this meteorologist.
27:13And when he was asked about it 20 years later in an interview, remembering D-Day by Walter Cronkite on
27:22the beaches, he asked, you know, how did you do it?
27:26And Eisenhower said, well, we just had better weathermen than the Germans did.
27:32Wow.
27:33Did you ever think that you would play Eisenhower?
27:36No.
27:37No, I didn't.
27:37When Anthony Maras, our director, contacted me, I was like, I didn't know anything about this.
27:44Yeah.
27:45History hadn't really taught me that.
27:47And I was like, me?
27:49Really?
27:49I don't really look like Eisenhower.
27:52I mean, I can, you know.
27:53Yeah.
27:54Which is a lot of fun.
27:55But he sent me a photo with myself alongside Dwight Eisenhower, and I went, oh, okay.
28:02I can see it.
28:03This is you next to a picture of a...
28:06Not bad.
28:07That's fantastic.
28:09Doesn't even look like you.
28:11It's amazing.
28:12I want to show everyone a clip.
28:14Here's Brendan Fraser in Pressure.
28:16Take a look.
28:17Even I can see that Crick's anti-cyclone is on the move because it's right here on the goddamn map.
28:31Now, our final meeting is at 0400 hours, and that will be the absolute last opportunity to change anything.
28:42So, unless you can prove these storms are inbound, we invade as planned.
28:49Monday, June 5th, 0630 hours.
28:55Yes, sir.
28:57Three hours, gentlemen.
28:59Come on.
29:01Brendan Fraser, Pritchard, is in theaters May 29th.
29:05We'll be right back, everybody.
29:08Give it a round.
29:09Give it a round.
29:14Give it a round.
29:20Our next guest is an Emmy-nominated actress starring in the series Imperfect Women, which is streaming all episodes.
29:28on Apple TV.
29:29Please welcome Kate Mara!
29:42Hi, bud! Hey!
29:48Welcome back to the show.
29:51Thanks for being here.
29:52You know, every time you come on The Tonight Show,
29:54it feels like there's another milestone in your life,
29:57because you were getting engaged at one point,
30:00then you got married at one point,
30:02then you're having a baby.
30:04Since I last saw you, you had another baby,
30:06and then most recently, you and your family
30:09moved back to New York.
30:10Yeah, yes.
30:11So it's another moment.
30:12I like to celebrate everything here with you.
30:14You have to celebrate everything.
30:15Are you happy to be back in New York?
30:17I'm so happy. I mean, I'm from New York,
30:19so coming back, you know, I feel like I've come back home.
30:22I was in L.A. for 20-something years,
30:25so it's wild to be back.
30:27You did your time out there.
30:28Yeah.
30:29But now you're back with the family, and...
30:30I'm back with the family.
30:31We moved to be closer to my parents and my siblings,
30:35and so, and to be closer to the New York Giants.
30:38Yeah, I mean, your great-grandfather
30:40founded the New York Giants.
30:42I don't know if anyone knows this.
30:43This is true.
30:44And your dad still works with the Giants.
30:46Yeah.
30:47Your kids are very young,
30:48but do they have any understanding
30:49about the family's fam-dom?
30:52Yes, they do.
30:54I mean, I've got a...
30:55We have a three-year-old, almost seven-year-old,
30:59and I have a 12-year-old stepson as well.
31:02And the little ones, they know that on Sunday,
31:06when the Giants are playing, that if they win,
31:10that Pops, their grandpa, will either be, you know,
31:13happy, sad, or pissed.
31:16Yeah, yeah, yeah.
31:17That's, like, one of those three emotions.
31:18One of those emotions, yeah.
31:19If they win, he'll be happy, grandpa.
31:21If they lose, let's just go home.
31:23We'll see you tomorrow.
31:24Yeah, or he'll need, like, extra hugs
31:26on certain days, you know?
31:27That's so funny.
31:28I know, you wonder, like, how it's gonna affect them
31:30when they get older.
31:31No, yeah, but are they understanding how, like,
31:34how much it is in the blood of the family?
31:36I mean, you guys are always, I mean...
31:37Yes, when I say that the Giants are on tape,
31:39we're gonna watch the Giants game,
31:40my little three-year-old will go, oh, no.
31:43Yeah?
31:44He'll literally, it makes, it scares him.
31:47Because last season was rough.
31:48But next season...
31:51That's so funny.
31:52Next season, he's gonna be so happy.
31:54Okay, good, all right, good.
31:55It's gonna be good next time.
31:56Good, go Giants.
31:58Yeah.
31:59I was talking to you backstage,
32:01you were talking about the Tony Awards,
32:02the nomination just came out,
32:03and you were saying that you've always wanted
32:05to be on Broadway or do something on Broadway.
32:07That was, I mean, moving back to New York
32:09really reignited my childhood, you know,
32:13my passion as a little kid,
32:14what made me want to be an actor was Broadway,
32:16going to Broadway shows and everything.
32:18So being back home, I'm able to go to all the shows now,
32:21and it just, like, has reignited that sort of love.
32:23It's amazing.
32:24Yeah.
32:24Have you ever auditioned or thought about...
32:27Yes, my first...
32:29When I was 14, my first heartbreak, I would say,
32:34was auditioning for The Sound of Music on Broadway.
32:37Ooh.
32:38I was auditioning, you know, all the Von Trapp children?
32:41Of course.
32:41There's, like, seven of them.
32:43Yes.
32:43Do you actually know them?
32:44So long, farewell.
32:45Yeah, there you go.
32:46So I was auditioning to play the second oldest girl,
32:50Louisa.
32:51Yeah.
32:51And, you know, they all have...
32:52They have to line up like this.
32:54It has to be, like, tallest to smallest.
32:56Yeah, the cute...
32:57Yeah, the little one...
32:58Right?
32:58So very specific height.
33:01You need to be a specific height to be in the show.
33:03And I am not a tall lady.
33:06Shocker.
33:06I'm, like, five foot two now.
33:08Okay.
33:09But when I was 14, I was also five foot two.
33:13Why is that funny?
33:14But I, um...
33:16I auditioned and I was there till the...
33:18I had, like, I don't know, six callbacks.
33:20They kept getting rid of kids.
33:21And then all of a sudden, it was just, like, seven of us standing there,
33:24all in the line.
33:25And I looked to my right, and the girl who was, you know,
33:28playing my older sister was the same height as me.
33:30And I just thought, like, oh, and...
33:34Did you kind of shrink a little bit?
33:35Well, they...
33:35That was it.
33:36They cut me out.
33:37I was too tall.
33:38They were scared I was gonna grow more.
33:40So that was it.
33:41That was my dream.
33:41My Broadway dreams died because I was too tall.
33:45At five foot two.
33:47Five foot two.
33:48You think you could have slumped a little bit.
33:49I prayed.
33:49I prayed every day, don't grow.
33:51I want to be on Broadway.
33:52And it worked.
33:53It didn't work.
33:54It didn't work because I'm not on Broadway, but I am five foot two.
33:56Yeah, you're five foot two.
33:57You're perfect.
33:58You're the perfect height.
33:59I don't want you to be any taller.
34:00But come back and do Broadway, please.
34:03I hope so.
34:03Yeah, we want to see you.
34:04Give me a dub.
34:05Let's manifest this.
34:07We'd love to see you.
34:10How's your sister Rooney doing as well?
34:12She's great.
34:13Please tell her I said hello.
34:14I will.
34:14You just shot something with her, right?
34:16You did a movie?
34:17Yep, we did a movie together.
34:19Was that fun, doing it with your sister?
34:20It was amazing.
34:21Yeah, of course.
34:22We did a movie called Bucking Fastered, which is a...
34:27Thank you for saying that slow.
34:29Yeah.
34:30Yeah, I appreciate it.
34:30Yes, people think I mess it up every time.
34:32Bucking Fastered.
34:33But they sent us the script and I read the title and went,
34:36Yep.
34:37There you go.
34:37Yeah, I like this.
34:39Yeah, it's gonna be fun.
34:39Yeah, that's the one, yeah.
34:40Come back when that's coming out, please.
34:42Yeah, we will.
34:42We'll come together.
34:43Come together.
34:43Yeah, it'll be perfect.
34:44Let's talk about Imperfect's women.
34:46Oh my gosh, what a cast.
34:47This is Carrie Washington, Elizabeth Moss.
34:52Um, did you guys know each other before this?
34:55Yeah, Carrie and I have known each other since,
34:57I think since I was about 14.
34:59We had the same manager when we were kids.
35:01Oh my gosh.
35:02Yeah, in New York.
35:02She got the part in Sound of Music.
35:04Yeah.
35:05Damn her.
35:06Yeah.
35:07Yeah, I've known her for a while.
35:08It is a great, it is a gripping psychological thriller.
35:12How do you set up the series and who you play?
35:14Well, my character is dead on arrival.
35:17Spoiler.
35:18Yeah, it's not a spoiler.
35:20But before the show even starts, she's already dead.
35:23Yes.
35:24But then the show follows these three best friends.
35:27The other two living friends are trying to figure out
35:30what happened to my character, Nancy.
35:32Yes.
35:33Lots of twists and turns.
35:34It's great.
35:35I want to show a clip.
35:35Here's Kate Mara and Kerry Washington in Imperfect Women.
35:39Take a look at this.
35:39Nancy, can I give you some real advice?
35:44Yeah.
35:46You have to listen to that quieter voice.
35:51I know that Robert's drinking is ripping open old wounds,
35:57but in reality, this man thinks that your armpits smell like honeysuckle and rainbows.
36:03He worships you.
36:05He is not leaving you.
36:10You're right.
36:12I'm just, I'm spinning.
36:16It's ironic that we're talking about this right now.
36:19I just commissioned this piece of art for our anniversary.
36:23If we make it that far.
36:25Come on.
36:26Kate Mara, everybody.
36:27All episodes of Imperfect Women are streaming now on Apple TV.
36:32More Tonight Show after the break.
36:34Stick around!
36:35Yeah.
36:36Rocks in a body to flames like a phoenix.
36:38Captain, wait a way to...
36:41Rocking for slavery to reform.
36:43Rocking for slavery to reform.
36:43Brothers up in it, that even knew what they morn.
36:47Performing the title track to his new album, Currasso.
