00:07Across Europe, pride rarely comes from a single source,
00:11and the strength of Europeans' pride varies even more from country to country.
00:16This is according to a survey of more than 30,000 people across 25 countries,
00:21including nine EU countries, which reveals what makes citizens most proud.
00:26In France, a quarter of adults celebrate their arts and culture,
00:30while others take pride in their world-famous cuisine, wine and cheese.
00:34Greece leads with historical pride, with 37% highlighting their Asian civilization,
00:40philosophers and the heroism of their ancestors.
00:43In Hungary, the feeling of pride is divided.
00:4623% say they are not proud of their country, while others hold their history and people in high regard.
00:52Hungary stands out as one of only a few countries where negative responses are as common as the most popular
00:58sources of pride.
01:00Italy shines for its arts and culture, with 38% praising its Renaissance heritage and iconic architecture.
01:07Poland's pride lies in its heritage and history, including its fight for independence and role in international affairs.
01:14Spaniards are most proud of the people of their country.
01:16They mention the solidarity among the public, as well as how hard-working and welcoming people can be.
01:22Finally, the Swedes and Dutch take pride in their political system,
01:26while Germans take pride in the country's democracy and federal system.
