00:05oh my god across the United States this is full dude buried in out-of-control hordes
00:16holy hey Matt there are treasures you can't even begin to imagine oh my god I'm Matt Paxton and my
00:26team and I are cleaning out properties rain and poo looking for big scores holy one-of-a-kind we
00:33found gold for our clients and ourselves and if my instincts are right I think this is legit
00:41everyone wins 82,000 so like I say is wow give me my $110,000 I can't believe this is
00:49the same
01:02all right here we are guys in Bolivar Ohio we're like an hour from NFL Hall of Fame it's a
01:10cool
01:11country town yeah so this is one of the white whales I have been talking to this family for
01:15about five years trying to get in and they're finally ready to consider it okay I hear that
01:22there's collections everywhere potential clients name is Jamie this is her house but he's got some
01:28medical scares so she needs every penny that she can get to fund his health care this man invented
01:33the ATM machine and the self checkout machine whoa so this dude's like a mad scientist inventor
01:40he's like Doc Brown we might find a flux capacitor in this place I smell it it smells really bad
01:48I'm afraid
01:49to walk on things because I might break something I just want to give up hi I'm Jamie Strayer my
01:56uncle
01:57Tom is more than an uncle he's a best friend and a mentor he is one of the most prolific
02:01corporate
02:02inventors in the history of the United States he has the patents on the ATM machine the gas pump
02:08checkout the self checkout at the grocery store it's the home of a mad scientist everything I'm
02:14hearing is getting me excited yeah the treasures in this house are a symphony of generational
02:20collections my uncle collected pinball machines jukeboxes slot machines pinball machines that a few
02:27years ago were selling for you know a thousand two thousand dollars are now five to six maybe even up
02:34to ten thousand due to the resurgence of nostalgia gaming and new generations wanting to collect them
02:40my concern is they haven't been picked apart for parts right the legend is there's Rolex watches under
02:47these mound of boxes I can see how he could lose a box of Rolexes in this house three years
02:53ago he was
02:54diagnosed with Alzheimer's so the ultimate plan is to sell the house this money will be a gift to
03:03our family to help pay for the care that he needs and the better life that he deserves
03:07Matt please come to Bolivar I really really need your help I'm excited Rolexes
03:17jukeboxes jukeboxes pinball sign me up dude that's a good Saturday night that is a damn good Saturday
03:23night Uncle Tom's like the most interesting guy in the world he was a builder he had patents he was
03:29an
03:29inventor I know he has great stuff but our big ticket items are the Whirlister jukebox pinball
03:34machines and a Rolex watch collection look at this man wow that's pretty cool Jamie Jamie good to see
03:45you very good to see you all right this is the whole team hey guys we watched the video it's
03:51pretty intense I think let's just jump into it can you and I tour the house and I'll let them
03:55go
03:55around back yeah we'll meet up afterwards all right all right we'll see you guys in a little bit
04:02all right welcome yeah to my uncle's humble abode all right Jamie's uncle Tom was an inventor so he
04:11saw the opportunity and everything he didn't see an object for what it is he saw it for what
04:15it could be but my job is to see the reality and is this scrap or can I sell it
04:20for money wait a
04:21minute is this a waterbed yeah it is Matt don't get too frisky there Matt look at this dude he
04:31was
04:31living right dude that is old school man it is it's like 1970s or 80s so water beds are really
04:40frustrating
04:40because clients have fond memories of there's nothing fond about them it's like having a car
04:45that I have to move out of a living room filled with water they're a nightmare and all they do
04:51is
04:51cost me money all right let's keep looking see what else we got some of my uncle's favorite items are
04:57in
04:57here okay so this is the cockpit yes it's kind of funny because it actually looks like a cockpit that's
05:02literally what we call it we call it a cockpit so everything he would do would be right here
05:06cockpit is where the most needed items for the hoarder today exist it's not where the treasure
05:12is not an x marks the spot in fact I've never found the treasures that simply in the hoarder's
05:18cockpit cell phones their chargers their medicine their keys the things they need to still function
05:24on a daily basis and so it should give us a hint into his daily behaviors that should lead us
05:30towards
05:30some of the treasures he really is into cool old lights and some of his favorite stained glass pieces
05:37are in here stained glass is valuable for a lot of reasons one is it's a lost art form it's
05:42made by hand
05:42it's not mass-produced they become more rare every year so their value continues to increase and it's
05:48extremely easy to sell I mean this is pretty sweet all right whoa whoa pinballs holy cow this is the
05:59orbiter one from the 80s ready for your next mission time to take on the orbiter one orbiter one was
06:06released by stern electronics in 1982 and it was one of the most unusual and experimental pinball
06:12machines ever built with the concept originating from designers with NASA backgrounds it featured a
06:193d moonscape that caused the ball to orbit unpredictably the design and gameplay of this machine is so rare
06:25unique that serious collectors and historians jump at the chance to find them in 2022 an original orbiter
06:31one went to auction for nearly $13,000 ah man but doesn't look good yeah this is definitely not what
06:40you want to see inventors love taking things apart and Jamie's uncle was no different but these pinball
06:46machines are just like classic cars they're worth way more when they're in perfect working order and sure
06:52everybody loves a good restoration project but we all know the real value here is in a perfectly working
06:58machine you know the reality is these may just be for parts at this point but even if they are
07:04that's
07:05still money but if all the pieces are here and if we can get them back together we can sell
07:09them for
07:10much more all right cool
07:17I've never in my life seen this many Hawaiian shirts
07:21what occasion
07:24is it okay to wear this
07:25like it's ridiculous the amount of shirts he has
07:28he can go on vacation for three years straight
07:30and never wear the same shirt twice
07:33Mike good luck on selling these
07:38it says toxic yes do not open do we know what's in there
07:43no so we don't know that it's scientifically toxic toxic fridge come on like I've seen a few of these
07:50things I'm not that worried I wouldn't open it without a mask on okay I think that could be a
07:55problem
07:55but the guy was a scientist maybe we should listen a little bit my hunch is it's a diversion don't
08:01look
08:02look in here look somewhere else what do I want to do I want to look in there all that
08:06being said
08:06this isn't horrible is there like a worse space than this the worst space is the office all right
08:13let's go check that out this is a room that I have many fond memories in as his you know
08:20crazy
08:21inventor office yeah okay wow so let's talk about this world sir that is the happy days yes it is
08:29oh
08:29it's beautiful all right hey come on man this dance is on me
08:37the fonds from happy days always knew how to get the party going and it all started with the jukebox
08:43these machines exploded in popularity from the 1940s through the 1960s becoming the glowing centerpiece
08:50of diners soda shops and dance halls across the country among collectors and lovers of vintage
08:56americana whirlitzer jukeboxes are considered the gold standard thanks to their iconic open cabinet
09:02design that lets you watch the magic happen that blend of engineering and showmanship is why
09:08whirlitzers still come in big value today recently a whirlitzer model 950 from 1942 sold for over
09:16$22,000 that's a beautiful piece I mean honestly that was one of the things in the video that got
09:21me
09:21excited I mean there's some nice stuff in here man wow and there is definitely somewhere a box of
09:29Rolex watches okay so recap me here like what is our goal for this entire house what do we need
09:34to
09:35have empty the house out completely so that I can rent it or sell it and then all the money
09:41that we'd
09:41make off of selling anything I need it to pay for his long-term care I really need us to
09:45empty the house
09:46and sell everything we can absolutely okay well he's got good stuff all right I'm gonna go find
09:51the guys and then I'll meet you back in the living room and we'll put a deal together thanks all
09:55right
09:55thank you thank you this is a fascinating hoard the jukebox is really good and honestly I think the
10:02stained glass is really good then we hear rumors of Rolexes silver jewelry I mean there's just there's a lot
10:07here there's a lot going on in this house oh yeah I kind of like it all right what did
10:12you guys see in
10:12the back a bunch of Hawaiian shirts like tons and tons it's thousands you know my concern is these
10:19pinball jukebox machines like do they work if they're just for parts that's a huge difference
10:25than if they work I mean I will say she wants the entire house emptied so they can sell it
10:30but there's
10:30a lot of trash in there we can't do this in three days just getting rid of the water bed
10:35could take a
10:35whole day itself and plus I gotta figure on how to get rid of this toxic fridge I need extra
10:40days
10:41and like it needs an extra two days all right so five days what's that gonna do to cost around
10:4515
10:45okay you know we saw most of the target items on the tour they're definitely a little more beat up
10:51not the value that we had hoped but I'm telling you I'm looking around and my gut is telling me
10:56we're gonna find a lot of value in this home but if we don't find any additional items we'll be
11:00in a
11:01lot of trouble I mean for me to lose money at the house of the guy that invented the ATM
11:06that'd be
11:07pretty embarrassing all right I'm gonna go see if we can make a deal that makes sense for all of
11:11us
11:11and I'll see you guys in a few minutes up all right all right all right there is a lot
11:19of work to do
11:20here yeah we think it's gonna cost about 15 grand to clean it out for us to do the whole
11:26property
11:26we're gonna do five days but we think there's probably 50 to 60,000 in revenue here so because
11:33there's so much work we'd love to be at a 50 50 split I was hoping for more because I
11:37have to take
11:38care of my uncle's long-term health care 60 40 60 40 you got a deal thanks all right I'm
11:48gonna go get
11:48the guys we're gonna get started thank you thanks Matt all right thanks for coming I'm so excited to
12:00pick through this house we're not gonna waste any time getting started so Chris and I are headed to
12:05the living room to focus on the cockpit and see if we can't find those missing coins and Rolexes that
12:09Jamie mentioned meanwhile Mike and Kalen are gonna hunt in the pinball room and hopefully find those
12:14missing parts so we can up their value all right Kalen we're looking for anything pinball related
12:21spare flippers bumpers manuals maybe even a soundboard whoa whoa whoa whoa check it out I've never seen this
12:36toy in person before this is obviously the Flintstones now boy all right Kate there it is this is kind
12:47of
12:47interesting this is like I think like time codes green belted Delta Roo vacuum picker motion he's like
12:56testing stuff oh look at this money shoe I'm really excited by what we're finding but Jamie's uncle has a
13:03bunch of different collections scattered everywhere and trying to find small delicate pinball parts
13:08mixed in at all is no easy task so taking our time and being extra thorough is our top priority
13:17pinball bags oh that's what it is hell yeah this pinball machine we found the glass that goes up top
13:25so
13:26that's great oh yeah dude I can hear them finding good stuff in there man man it's definitely got a
13:35lot
13:35of mice back here I don't know about what you're finding Chris my droppings I can smell it all right
13:43this is more inventory most valuable things are interesting but every interesting thing isn't
13:49necessarily valuable so far this house is filled with interesting things that are not very valuable oh yeah man look
13:56at
13:56me and my job here today is to clean the house out by selling things and currently I haven't found
14:01anything I can sell so my costs are going up and my profits going down you're checking pockets hey let's
14:10try to make this a little more oh wait a minute what is this now we're talking man
14:25oh wait a minute what is this that's stock man so these stocks are from Diebold it's a company that's
14:32famous for bank ATMs and vaults and he worked for Diebold and actually created the ATM when he worked for
14:38Diebold and so it makes sense that he was issued these stocks while he worked there as far back as
14:44the
14:44early 80s when you bought equity in a company you actually got issued a stock certificate now everything
14:49is digital but these are still valid they're still real this is cash money we just have to redeem
14:55them this gets me extremely excited that's a $4,400 piece of paper right there man oh $4,400 that's
15:04what
15:04we need that's awesome good job a little bit of everything over here man this is amazing this place didn't
15:20catch on fire it's day two here in our patent pandemonium house and we're just scratching the surface of digging
15:25through this hoard we still don't know if we can get our pinball machines and jukebox up and running
15:30so it's vital that we uncover any additional hidden treasures including those missing Rolexes
15:35more boxes of stuff that's all look that's all covered in rat poop last night Chris and I finished hunting
15:41in the living room and now we're setting our sights on the office
15:45it's like that trash compactor room in Star Wars it just keeps growing this is a tough room to say
15:53the least
16:02oh boom Ronald Reagan that is so wheat this is a Goodyear blimp that you blow up in its remote
16:13control
16:14look at that money well not about you but mine's getting gross over here I'm getting into some serious pee
16:23I'm not sure what I can really save
16:26everything over here is eaten up I'm getting rat poop all over here I smell it do you smell it
16:33man it reeks over here
16:36alright so this is all eaten up by uh oh bam here's some watches come on man please be a
16:46Rolex what's the brand on that fossils yeah
16:51alright no go on these you know unfortunately these are everyday watches they're nice watches they're worth a little bit
16:56of money but they are not a Rolex
16:58more watches so far on this job our costs are going up but our profit is going the opposite way
17:04and if we fall behind too early we're going to be playing defense for the rest of the job
17:13why don't we see if we can work out a deal for all three items
17:16okay did you go 275?
17:19alright my man you got a deal
17:20alright perfect
17:21thank you so much
17:22let me think I got cash right here
17:27let's see this one doesn't have a tag
17:29you know this reminds me of the episode of Saved by the Bell
17:34you know what it reminds me of?
17:37the Brady Bunch going to buy
17:38oh of course you went back too far
17:41it's a lot of shirts
17:42yeah
17:43so as in we
17:44so you see plastic and potentially coconut
17:47okay alright
17:49those are definitely worth way more than plastic
17:52Hawaiian shirts first emerged in the 1930s
17:55when Hawaiian tailors began experimenting with bright Japanese kimono fabrics and bold tropical prints
18:01after World War II servicemen returning from Hawaii brought the trend back to the mainland
18:06and the shirts exploded in popularity
18:09over the years Hawaiian shirts have been featured in countless forms of entertainment
18:14and collectors seek out the rarest ones they can find
18:17at auction
18:18Tom Selleck's original red jungle bird shirt from the show Magnum PI sold for $7,200
18:27these can be big money
18:28so let's make a pile all the Hawaiian clothes from the non Hawaiian clothes
18:32with all the shirts we found in the house and the dozens more we found in the pinball room
18:37this Hawaiian shirt collection is really awesome
18:40this could be worth $5,000 or more
18:41and hopefully this is just the tip of the iceberg
18:48these are cash boxes
18:50for ATMs
18:55oh man
18:55no cash
18:57talk about a guy who took his work home with them
19:00we need to find our ATM in this world
19:03that's trash
19:04alright
19:08wait a minute
19:09look at that
19:11it's tiny but it's gold
19:13probably like $1,500 bucks believe it or not
19:16there's a lot of silver in here
19:18I never want to leave a room down
19:19I like to make either break even or make a little profit in each section of the house
19:23thank God we found silver and gold coins in this room
19:26that gave us a lot more room to breathe
19:28more gold
19:29more gold
19:30one, two, three, four, five, six grams of gold
19:34we didn't find the Rolexes but we were able to pull some cash out of this room
19:37so this is the momentum we needed to get to our overall goal
19:40these are some good-ass coins
19:42thousands of dollars
19:44I love it
19:48we've got 87 watches in the collection
19:50I'm at $1,500
19:51I think I can do that
19:53awesome
19:54thank you very much
19:58this is gonna be fun
20:00fun, fun, fun
20:01day two is winding down and we're still nowhere near our $50,000 goal
20:06but we ain't giving up yet
20:08March 27, 2013 was the expiration date
20:11it's never been open but the can is completely empty
20:14so while I continue to hunt in the office
20:16I'm gonna have Chris start attacking the kitchen
20:19is this a dead mouse?
20:22I'm pretty sure there's probably more laying around under this stuff
20:35so obviously we need to move the fridge
20:38let's talk about the obvious
20:40that thing says hazard and toxic
20:41this is a decoy
20:43they're saying
20:43look over here
20:44don't look here
20:45I don't think that's a decoy bro
20:47I'm telling you there's something in there
20:48now that Chris has cleaned out most of the kitchen
20:50the only thing left to do is clear out the toxic fridge
20:52I'm kind of excited about it
20:54the guys are not
20:56one
20:56two
20:57three
20:58go
21:00man
21:03hey come on
21:05please come on
21:06hurry up
21:06it smells
21:07oh I got some bacon
21:10this is a weird job
21:12you gotta look for
21:13very small pockets of joy
21:15and for me
21:16when my guys freak out and throw up
21:18that brings me joy
21:19oh that egg
21:20oh
21:21I just threw up in my mouth
21:23look at these things
21:25oh my god please
21:26what did I tell you man
21:28this mess is not working
21:29look at this
21:30this is why
21:31you go through the fridge
21:33whoa
21:34oh man all right let's see what's in here
21:37oh my god
21:38look at this
21:39gold coins dude
21:41oh my god
21:42oh man
21:43I told you
21:44we found some gold man
21:46this is the perfect win for us
21:49like I mean it literally felt like
21:51Uncle Tom created a fear factor challenge for us
21:56and I accept the damn challenge
21:57man if you wanted to steal this stuff
22:00uh
22:00you gotta really want it
22:02three ounces here
22:04gold is about five thousand dollars
22:05that's fifteen grand
22:06oh my god please
22:08finding all this gold is totally worth the smell
22:11no it's not
22:12I'm dying over here
22:13let's do it
22:14I hate it wouldn't mess right
22:15but we found a lot of gold in this fridge
22:17so joke's on me
22:19people had their stuff in crazy spots
22:21but hallelujah the fridge is gone
22:23hey
22:24you just made them
22:26a lot of friggin money
22:27now that we conquered the toxic fridge
22:29we can officially move on from the kitchen
22:31our next demon to tackle
22:33is that water bed in the bedroom
22:35but that's a fight for another day
22:37we might have earned it on that one
22:38might have
22:44oh no look at this
22:47let's plug her in
22:48see if anything comes on
22:51oh hey now
22:52the spinning lights seem to be working on both sides
22:56which is great
22:57oh man
22:58this jukebox only plays 78s
23:02records are categorized by how fast they spin
23:05measured in revolutions per minute or rpms
23:0833 is the record that most people know
23:10it's pretty big
23:11and usually used for full albums
23:13a 45 is the small one at 7 inches
23:16with just a song or two on each side
23:18like old school singles
23:19and 78s are the really old heavy ones
23:21from before modern vinyl
23:23they came in all sizes
23:24but the most common size was 10 inches
23:28alright
23:29the amplifier is missing
23:31we'll have to look around and see if we can find it
23:33because right now this won't play records and make noise
23:36like it's just lighting up
23:37and that's about all it's going to do
23:43alright
23:44you're the silver guy
23:45yeah i've been flipping stuff never got into coins
23:47this is a good starter set
23:48i think what's unique for you is there's probably 20 coins in here that'll be highly collectible
23:53that you're going to want to hold on to
23:54and you have some buffalo nickels
23:56a bunch of buffalo nickels over here
23:57and these are 90% silver
24:0090% silver
24:01okay
24:01so if i wanted to buy everything
24:03honestly i'm looking hopefully for 2500 for all of it
24:07alright
24:08sweet
24:09you got a deal man
24:10alright perfect thank you
24:16alright come on in
24:18we didn't have much luck finding the missing pinball parts
24:21so i called in some local experts to let me know if we have any shot at repairing these machines
24:26these guys have been in the business for almost 50 years
24:29and they're some of the top experts in the field
24:32first in line we have star wars
24:37a lot of the uh
24:40the parts are in the wrong spot here
24:42but it's missing the sound board
24:44but the flippers seem to work
24:46i'm going to rough it
24:47give you a rough estimate
24:48probably about three grand as it sits
24:50wow
24:50if it was working
24:52it would probably sell for
24:54six grand
24:55well how about this
24:56the black knight
24:56ooh
24:57this one's got the broken back glass
24:59yeah
25:00these are pretty rough
25:01yeah
25:02to restore it
25:03takes us about
25:04forty
25:05or more hours
25:06to restore a pinball
25:07wow
25:07it's a big ordeal
25:08it's a big process
25:10i gotta be honest
25:11hearing how much work it's going to take to get these pinball machines restored
25:14is discouraging
25:16it would take weeks to get these done
25:18but
25:19we're already on day three of a five day project
25:21so we just don't have time
25:23alright
25:23so
25:23what is this worth
25:24in this state
25:26probably about fifteen hundred dollars
25:28okay
25:28this game
25:29why don't we see what we can do on the other machines
25:31the
25:32this
25:33isn't going to come on because the power supply is not connected
25:36see how burned up that connector is
25:38connector so it's never going to plug in
25:40okay
25:40what do you think this thing is worth
25:42in present condition
25:43i'd say probably about eight hundred
25:45eight hundred bucks
25:46okay
25:47well how about this
25:48let me see if this changes the value at all
25:49brand new back glass
25:51that's fantastic
25:52that's a great back glass
25:54brand new
25:54how does this change this
25:56oh well
25:56at least add three hundred to it
25:58okay
25:59so about eleven hundred
26:00hey before you go
26:01we have one more to look at over here
26:03thankfully this one is in the best shape of them all
26:05what do you know about orbiter one
26:07uh it's the last stern pinball made
26:10i've only had one in the whole time i've been doing this
26:13it's in a
26:14really hard pinball to sell
26:16because if you were a family
26:18buying a pinball
26:19you want a regular pinball
26:21this is so unique
26:22if you're a collector and you have a number of them
26:24it's cool
26:25how much is this worth
26:27to us
26:27not a lot
26:29knowing how much these pinball machines would be worth
26:32if we had the time to restore them
26:34is just a massive punch in the gut
26:36there's still money to be made here
26:37but finding the buyer who's gonna put the time
26:40and money into restoring these
26:42is a tall task
26:53man look at this
26:55pop culture man
26:57this is great
26:58low-mo pop culture lights
27:00this will do
27:01probably 150 bucks
27:02oh that's a killer
27:04alright
27:05there was one thing over here
27:07oh man
27:10i'm really curious
27:11what this is
27:18uh oh
27:18it's got a hum to it man
27:20look at this
27:20i know what this is gonna be
27:23oh
27:23oh my god
27:25look at this
27:27oh man i feel like i'm in pulp fiction here
27:29it's beautiful
27:34uh oh
27:36it's got a hum to it man
27:38look at this
27:38i know what this is gonna be
27:41oh
27:41oh my god
27:43look at this
27:45oh
27:48it's a neon test kit
27:50i can hear that hum
27:51this would be from like the 70s or 60s
27:54this would be a traveling salesman's kit for neon
27:58so if you were gonna if he was gonna sell you neon signs
28:01he would turn this on and show you what it looks like
28:04and you would pick which color you wanted
28:06oh this is amazing
28:08i have never seen anything like this in my life
28:11it's incredible
28:13if you look at the plug here in the back
28:16that's gonna date it to the pre-50s
28:20this is so cool
28:21and after i've gotten to know jamie's uncle
28:24i can totally see why he dug this
28:30we've got three pinball machines here
28:32we've got future spa star wars and black knight
28:35and then over there we've got orbiter one
28:37me and my dad
28:38we had a couple growing up in our basement
28:40it's kind of one of our hobbies that me and him share together
28:42and i make them all nice and then he can help us on electrical
28:45oh that's awesome
28:46yeah
28:47to give you an idea of where i'm at
28:48i'd like to get seven thousand dollars for all of them
28:53four
28:54was my starting number
28:55oh
28:56yeah
28:57okay
28:58um you know i can have a little bit of wiggle room
29:00if it helps you out it'll come down to 6400
29:02you got a deal
29:04deal
29:05i think that works for me man
29:06thank you
29:07congratulations
29:08yeah man
29:08when i first heard about these machines
29:10i was hoping we were gonna get 20 to 30 grand for them
29:13but none of them work
29:15we don't have the time to fix them
29:17and we only have three days left to get whatever we can for them
29:20we made some money and got them off the property
29:24that's a win-win for me
29:32our time at this patented hoard has been flying but with just two days left there's still plenty to do
29:37in our efforts to reach $50,000 in profit
29:40all right i got something amazing for you
29:43oh
29:43look at this
29:45it's just the coolest thing man
29:46now is this for a personal collection or what was this for
29:49yeah it would be for my personal
29:50okay
29:50believe it or not i'm thinking a thousand bucks for this
29:53thousand bucks
29:54quite honestly i've never seen one before
29:56and i've been i've been doing this a long time
29:59would you go 800
30:01i don't think so
30:02i think i'm pretty i'm pretty firm at a thousand
30:06i mean i just i know i'll get it somewhere
30:08i will throw this in
30:09okay
30:10i love betty boop
30:12i would do then all three of these for 1100
30:15i'll do that
30:16you got it
30:16i do
30:17we're good man
30:19all right congrats
30:23this is a pain in the butt
30:24all right you got the hose
30:26it's got to go all the way outside
30:28while we wait for other buyers to show up
30:30the team and i are going to work on getting that massive water bed out of the bedroom
30:33so get that all the way through the curb
30:36because this is going to be some nasty nasty water
30:39is it draining it should be draining
30:43this water is not moving
30:44we'll be here all day
30:46this water bed is a nightmare to move
30:48that water is heavy
30:49we probably have a 2,000 pound water bladder
30:52it won't lift up to drain out
30:54it is like moving a dead whale
30:56is anything coming
30:57nothing's coming up to it
30:58i mean this is
30:59one two three four five
31:00it's about 500 bucks an hour to do this
31:03i think we should just move on
31:04just start taking the frame apart
31:05because this is going to be an all day process
31:07let's do that
31:08my man's right
31:09ah
31:13it's almost impossible to take it apart
31:15the wood is reinforced ten different times
31:18with a hundred different screws
31:20i just don't want it to cut the bed
31:24we had to literally just use brute force to break this apart
31:29okay break it bro
31:30i'm just breaking it down
31:35there is a reason we don't have water beds anymore
31:38because after the ones from the 70s started breaking
31:40nobody ever wanted to move them again
31:42ugh
31:43me dude
31:45just gotta go into beast mode
31:46kaylin sometimes
31:51thanks for coming out jesse
31:52thanks thanks for calling me
31:54of course you are my hawaiian shirt queen
31:58jamie's uncle's hawaiian shirt collection is never ending
32:01and i've lined up a buyer who owns a chain of high-end vintage shops
32:05and with this volume she's my best bet to unload all of them
32:09by the way can we just address the fact
32:11we're looking at hawaiian shirts in a snowstorm in ohio
32:15yes
32:17if you told me i was going to do this today i would have never agreed
32:20so we have the 800 in the house that you've already seen
32:24okay
32:24we've got a hundred or so out here
32:27i'd love to work out a deal for all the shirts
32:29i do not think i've ever seen a collection quite like this one
32:33i will not be able to keep these in stock
32:36so just to give you an idea of where i'm at
32:38i'd like to get thirteen thousand dollars for all the hawaiian shirts
32:46um
32:57hey mike good to see you again good to see you buddy
33:00yeah whenever i find any cool jukeboxes you're my guy
33:02thank you
33:03so uh what we've got here i believe it's a 46 whirlitzer
33:07probably the jukebox everybody thinks about
33:09and one of the most famous ones uh but unfortunately not one of the most valuable anymore
33:14the back then they were playing 78s on here
33:16yeah
33:17you don't really get good music on 78s
33:19you know when they switched to 45s in about 1952 that's when all the good music come out
33:23yeah
33:23this particular one nice cabinet but quite a few parts missing
33:27in fact i've got one for sale at the moment for
33:29thirty five hundred dollars um in much better shape than this
33:33okay so thirty five hundred in top shape
33:35that being said i'd love to sell this today
33:38we don't want it to be thrown away
33:40like we want somebody to get some use out of it
33:42tell you what i'm at twelve hundred dollars
33:44what do you think on that
33:45um
33:47for a parts machine it's on the high side
33:50i'd be a lot happier at 800
33:52how about we meet in the middle at an even one thousand
33:57okay
33:58sounds good
33:59yeah i'll do that
33:59awesome
34:01this job's getting pretty serious
34:03we're running out of time
34:04pressure's building
34:05we haven't really made a lot of money
34:07we've got to sell every item that we can find
34:10i'm trying to get money to help jamie's uncle
34:12and right now i'm just worried about breaking even
34:14this is not the scenario we wanted
34:16with only the office left
34:18we're running out of time
34:19and we're running out of places to hunt
34:21we've got to find some money fast

34:57we've got all this scrap jewelry
35:00it's really not worth that much
35:02not that exciting
35:04but this

37:22i forgot how beautiful the building is
37:25it's gorgeous
37:27we got a lot more to see
37:30this was his cockpit
37:31this is kind of where he hung out
37:32he had his tv

37:35this is where he did his thing man
37:36so fireplace works
37:38from what i understand
37:39absolutely beautiful

37:46i feel like a fairy godmother
37:48just made my dream come true
37:50all right let's go check out the kitchen

38:01it reeked
38:02yeah
38:03the toxic fridge
38:05it wasn't toxic
38:06but it was pretty darn close
38:07it was rough
38:10but more on that later
38:11all right let's go to the office
38:13this was probably my favorite room
38:14this room was tough
38:15the office
38:18it was a big room
38:22and it was full
38:23oh my gosh
38:26what was this like
38:27this was the room
38:29that i spent so much time with him
38:31in that period of life in high school
38:33with him mentoring and tutoring me
38:36and the emotions of both come back to me
38:39and that
38:41it's tears of joy
38:43that i can see this room
38:45and not be filled with garbage
38:46you know a horde can sometimes cover up
38:49their real memories
38:50and hopefully this is making space for you
38:52to actually remember the guy that he is
38:55all right are you ready to see the final room

39:19yeah
39:20i wouldn't have been able to
39:22do this without you and your team

39:26it was just filled with garbage
39:27all right

39:29clear the space
39:30and make some money
39:31and what's the money going to be for
39:33i need to take care of my uncle
39:35we were hoping to make somewhere between
39:36fifty and sixty thousand dollars in sales
39:39however the whirlitzer jukebox
39:41and the pinball machines
39:42didn't move the needle quite like we hoped
39:43what did bring us some money was finding
39:46an abundance of gold and jewelry
39:47including fifteen thousand dollars in that toxic fridge
39:50and another ten thousand dollars hidden in his office
39:53oh my god
39:54but the most surprising sale for us
