00:36So let's have a great show!
00:38It's time to start the show!
00:39Come to Ray Paul, let's all go to Andy's Dino Island!
00:44You can do it!
00:45I'm trying to prove!
00:47Following the dino, discovering what they do!
00:51Yeah, you can come through!
00:53Come to Andy's Dino Island!
00:55Andy's Dino Island!
00:58Andy's Dino Island!
00:59Andy's Dino Island!
01:06Where is it?
01:08I know it's around here somewhere!
01:09Ah, got it!
01:10Ha!
01:12Oh!
01:13Hello!
01:13I'm Andy!
01:15Whoa!
01:16Ho ho ho ho!
01:17I'm trying to measure this Alamosaurus!
01:20One of the longest dinosaurs that ever lived!
01:23Hopefully she'll stay still long enough while she's munching on these ferns for me to measure
01:28exactly how long she really is!
01:30Right!
01:32Easy girl!
01:33Stay there!
01:36One metre!
01:38Two metres!
01:41Three metres!
01:44Oh!
01:45I'm gonna need a longer tape measure!
01:49Whoa!
01:50What was that?
01:51I think she spotted something!
01:57It's a T-Rex!
02:00Not to worry though!
02:01Alamosaurus are so big, even a T-Rex would struggle to make a meal of it!
02:06Unfortunately, I can't say the same for myself!
02:11I think I'll head back to camp before it spots me!
02:15I'll have to measure you later Alamosaurus!
02:17Ooh!
02:18Ooh!
02:19Scooby!
02:20Ooh!
02:36Ooh!
02:39Ooh!
02:40Ooh!
02:41Ooh!
02:43Ooh!
02:45Ooh!
02:49Good morning, Andy. What are you looking for?
02:52Morning, Jen. Do we have a long tape measure around here somewhere?
02:55How long?
02:56Really, really long. I'm trying to measure an alamosaurus.
03:00I found one by the forest earlier on eating some ferns.
03:03An alamosaurus?
03:05I'll show you.
03:09It's a sauropod dinosaur that roamed North America around 65 to 70 million years ago.
03:15Huh. I see why you need a long tape measure.
03:18It's from a group of dinosaurs called titanosaurs,
03:21which includes some of the largest land animals that ever lived.
03:24The one I saw was so big, it wasn't even scared of a T-Rex.
03:28Wow. I suppose that's one of the reasons why titanosaurs are so large,
03:32to protect themselves from predatory dinosaurs.
03:35It could take them around 30 years to become fully-sized adults.
03:38That's a lot longer than us humans.
03:40Huh. Oh. Wait.
03:42Then how do they protect themselves for the first few years
03:45when they're only little baby alamosaurus?
03:48Oh. I don't know, Jen.
03:50That's a good question.
03:51Well, I'm planning on doing some measuring myself today.
03:54Has it got anything to do with that giant balloon out there?
03:57Yes, it does.
03:58Come on, let me show you.
04:05This is my weather balloon.
04:07I made it to carry this special instrument high up into the sky,
04:10where it can measure temperature, humidity, wind speeds and lots of other things.
04:14Wow. It's a mega-measuring machine.
04:17Well, it'll certainly tell us a lot about the weather here on Dino Island.
04:21I fitted it with a tracker, so once the balloon comes down,
04:24we can use our gizmos to find it and retrieve all the data.
04:27Brilliant. Can we launch it now?
04:30Of course. I just need to attach my mega-measuring machine.
04:37Let me find something for you to stand on.
04:39Ah, silly me. You can just pull it down.
04:42Uh. Ah.
04:46This should do it.
04:49Whoa!
04:51Jen!
04:53Are you all right?
04:55I'm okay, but I'll have to keep holding on until the balloon comes down again.
05:00Don't worry. I'll come and find you.
05:03But how will I know where you land?
05:06Use the tracker.
05:08Huh? You want some crackers?
05:10I'm not sure this is the best time for food, Jen.
05:13Besides, we don't have any cheese.
05:16No! Use the tracker.
05:20Oh, the tracker, of course!
05:22I can use my gizmo to track down the mega-measuring machine and find Jen,
05:27before a giant hungry dinosaur does.
05:29Hold on, Jen! I'm coming!
05:32Time to go on a Dino Island adventure.
05:40Hat. Check.
05:43Waistcoat. Check.
05:44Backpack. Check.
05:46Gizmo. Check.
06:08Oh, crossing this jungle is hard work.
06:11There are so many obstacles.
06:14But this is the way the balloon flew.
06:16If Jen landed in here, she could be standing right next to me,
06:20and I still wouldn't spot her.
06:23Did you hear that?
06:26Maybe it's Jen?
06:29Uh...
06:30Jen?
06:35That's definitely not Jen.
06:37Well, this jungle is scary.
06:39Come on!
06:40Come on!
06:41Come on!
06:46Ooh!
06:48These look like the same ferns that the Alamosaurus were eating this morning.
06:53But there's no way an Alamosaurus could fit in here, though.
06:56Ferns are one of the oldest groups of plants on Earth.
06:59They've been around for almost 350 million years,
07:03and they've been food for lots of different dinosaurs.
07:06Ooh!
07:07What was that?
07:15It's a baby Alamosaurus.
07:18It turns out Alamosaurus can fit in here, after all.
07:21Only a very, very small one.
07:23It's incredible to think that in 30 years, this tiny dino might grow to be the size of a house.
07:30How did it end up in here?
07:33Have you lost, little one?
07:35There's a strange call again.
07:37It can't be the T-Rex we saw this morning.
07:40It wouldn't be able to get through this dense vegetation either.
07:45In a second...
07:48That's it!
07:49You're not lost.
07:50First, this is how little Alamosaurus protect themselves from large predators.
07:55By hiding in the jungle.
07:57Oh!
07:59And there's another one.
08:01Hello!
08:02So this isn't a scary place at all.
08:05This is a safe place.
08:07Large predators can't get them in here,
08:09and there's lots of delicious ferns for them to eat,
08:12so they can grow big and strong before they head out to the open plains to join their adults.
08:17I can't wait to tell Jen.
08:19Oh.
08:21That's if I can find her.
08:23See you later, little dinos.
08:25Right.
08:26This way.
08:28This way.
08:46Jen!
08:47Jen!
08:49I can't hear you!
08:51You're too far away!
08:53She looks pleased to see me, though.
08:56Hang on!
08:58I'll come to you!
09:01Luckily, I always pack my rubber dinghy.
09:09Let's go!
09:16Wow!
09:17She really is pleased to see me.
09:19What was that you were saying, Jen?
09:21There's a giant crocodile in the lake!
09:25Oh!
09:26She said there's a giant crocodile in the lake!
09:30Oh!
09:32There's a giant crocodile in the lake!
09:35What?
09:36Good purpose!
09:42Whoa!
09:45Whoa!
09:51Andy, are you okay?
09:53Huh?
09:54I'm okay, thanks, Jen.
09:55I just wasn't expecting that.
09:57I completely forgot that crocodilians lived alongside dinosaurs.
10:01Yes, it's a dinosaurcus, and it's as long as two cars.
10:05Wow.
10:06I'm glad you're okay, too, Jen.
10:08Sorry about your unexpected balloon ride.
10:10It's okay.
10:11Mine was a lot of fun, actually.
10:12Oh.
10:13Until I crash-landed on this island.
10:16But, I did get some great readings on my mega-measuring machine.
10:20Oh, nice one, Jen.
10:22Right, how do we get off this island,
10:24now that my dinghy has a dinosaurcus bite-sized hole in it?
10:28Oh.
10:28I know.
10:29We could build a raft.
10:31I already did.
10:32Really?
10:33Where?
10:33The dinosaurcus ate it.
10:36Ah.
10:39Whoa.
10:40Oh, what now?
10:43It's an animasaurus!
10:45The same one I saw this morning.
10:48Oh, wow!
10:49No wonder you wanted to measure it.
10:51It's enormous!
10:53I know.
10:54She's not afraid of a crocodilian.
10:56Even a giant prehistoric one like Dinosuchus.
10:59Hang on.
11:01Didn't you say earlier that the animasaurus loves munching on ferns?
11:06Yes.
11:07Can't get enough of them.
11:10Oh, I see what you're thinking.
11:12You put the dinghy and the balloon away,
11:13and I'll grab some ferns.
11:15Got it.
11:20Jimmy!
11:21Jimmy!
11:21I saw us!
11:23There are lots of lovely, delicious ferns over here!
11:26Now.
11:29Now.
11:30Now.
11:30Is it working?
11:32Oh, ho, ho.
11:33Oh.
11:35Come on, Jen.
11:43Quick.
11:44We'd better hurry.
11:45Before she finishes...
11:46We did!
11:51Woo!
11:54Oh, all right!
11:59I know!
12:01Oh, and just in time,
12:03the Dinosuchus is on the island,
12:05and it's huge.
12:07Oh, not as big as the animasaurus, though.
12:09Yes.
12:10I still don't know exactly how long our sauropod saviour is,
12:13but I'm not going back over there to measure it.
12:16I did find out how baby animasaurus stay safe, though.
12:20I'll tell you all about it on our way back to camp.
12:22See you later, animasaurus!
12:44Well, I've managed to repair my rubber dinghy.
12:46with a punch for a pear kit.
12:47And I've downloaded all the data from my surprise balloon ride.
12:50Oh.
12:53It's a shame we didn't find out how long an animasaurus is.
12:56I think we did.
12:57We did?
12:58Yes.
12:59My mega-measuring machine was still on
13:01when we slid down the animasaurus.
13:03From the top of its head to the end of its tail,
13:06it was...
13:0821 metres.
13:09Oh, ho, ho!
13:1021 metres!
13:12That's almost as long as two double-decker buses.
13:15Then I'd say today is officially our biggest adventure yet.
13:18Agreed.
13:19And I can't wait to go on another one.
13:21See you next time.
13:23BOOM!
13:233
13:252
13:262
13:262
13:261
13:272
13:272
13:292
13:302
13:331
13:422
