A Strange Rope A Divine Verdict in 5 Verses Surah Al-Masad | Reading of ʿĀṣim
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful May the hands of Abu Lahab perish, and may he perish. ① His wealth did not benefit him, nor did what he earned. ② He will burn in a Fire full of blazing flame. ③ And so will his wife, the carrier of firewood. ④ Around her neck will be a rope of twisted fiber. ⑤
Surah Al-Masad is not merely the story of a man and a woman… It is a timeless scene for every hand that fought the truth, every wealth whose owner thought it would protect him, and every arrogance that ended in Fire.
