00:00:00The general subject for this line of ministry on Wednesday night
00:00:05is derived from two very similar verses in Ezekiel chapter 14.
00:00:14Verse 14 says,
00:00:17Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in the midst of it,
00:00:24they would deliver only their own souls by their righteousness.
00:00:32So we have Noah, Daniel, and Job.
00:00:38Thus it is not arbitrary to focus on these three individuals
00:00:44since the word of God singles them out.
00:00:48Then verse 20 says,
00:00:50As though Noah, Daniel, and Job were in the midst of it,
00:00:55as I live, declares the Lord Jehovah,
00:00:59they could not deliver even son or daughter.
00:01:04They would deliver only their own souls by their righteousness.
00:01:10So notice their particular characteristic
00:01:15was a living of righteousness in their situation.
00:01:22After much prayer and consideration and fellowship,
00:01:28the general subject emerged,
00:01:31which is Noah, Daniel, and Job.
00:01:47And I think the best way to review the central matter last week
00:01:57would be for me simply to read the first two sections
00:02:02of outline one.
00:02:06Maybe with some comment, maybe not.
00:02:10Noah, Daniel, and Job are patterns
00:02:16revealing how we can live an overcoming life
00:02:22on the line of life
00:02:25to fulfill the economy of God.
00:02:29We need patterns.
00:02:35Patterns are used by the Spirit
00:02:39to shape our spiritual being,
00:02:44to motivate us,
00:02:46to give us an incentive,
00:02:50to give us the faith to realize
00:02:53that the same God
00:02:55God who produced such a pattern
00:02:58can reproduce the pattern.
00:03:02So we need the patterns of actual,
00:03:06chosen, redeemed human beings
00:03:09who lived an overcoming life.
00:03:13And they lived it on the line of life
00:03:16and it was for the fulfillment
00:03:20of the economy of God.
00:03:23And the first point from the outline continues,
00:03:27this is to live and work
00:03:29according to the vision of the age,
00:03:33to change the age.
00:03:35We would do well to ponder that.
00:03:40We may be eager
00:03:42to live and work
00:03:44according to the vision of the age.
00:03:48But the work and the living
00:03:51are to change the age.
00:03:55I would ask you
00:03:56even week by week,
00:03:58little by little,
00:03:59as the Spirit brings this
00:04:01to your remembrance,
00:04:03I would ask you to consider
00:04:05to what extent
00:04:06you desire
00:04:09to see the change
00:04:11of the age.
00:04:16The Lord needs to have a group,
00:04:19if not overcomers,
00:04:21of overcomer wannabes
00:04:24who want the age to change
00:04:27as soon as possible.
00:04:32This is God's desire
00:04:34and God's will.
00:04:37If we are reluctant,
00:04:39if we are hesitant,
00:04:42if we are compromised
00:04:44in this matter,
00:04:46we're not that one with Him.
00:04:49Our God wants to change
00:04:52the age
00:04:53from the age of grace
00:04:55to the age of the kingdom
00:04:57that is the age
00:04:59of righteousness.
00:05:01For this,
00:05:02He needs a living
00:05:03and a work
00:05:04according to the vision
00:05:05of the age
00:05:08that is following
00:05:09the pattern
00:05:10of these three persons.
00:05:14Then our brother Ed
00:05:15helped us to see
00:05:17from His outline
00:05:18that the lives
00:05:19of Noah,
00:05:20Daniel and Job
00:05:22reveal the triune God
00:05:25dispensing Himself
00:05:26into His chosen people
00:05:29to fulfill His economy.
00:05:31Here is fresh light.
00:05:34Why three?

00:05:42The Bible is structured
00:05:44with the divine trinity.
00:05:47The divine dispensing
00:05:49of the divine trinity
00:05:50to produce
00:05:51the corporate expression
00:05:52of God
00:05:53is the central thought
00:05:56and governing principle
00:05:57of the scriptures.
00:05:59We should inquire,
00:06:01and I believe
00:06:02our brother Ed
00:06:02did so inquire
00:06:04of the Lord,
00:06:05why three?
00:06:07Why these three?
00:06:08What is the significance
00:06:11of these three?
00:06:12When we seek the Lord
00:06:14in the word in this way,
00:06:16light comes.
00:06:18So our brother
00:06:19wrote on the outline,
00:06:22and I'm happy to read
00:06:23and to repeat
00:06:24for the kingdom.
00:06:26He wrote,
00:06:28With Noah,
00:06:28we see God the Father
00:06:30in His desire
00:06:32and plan for His building
00:06:34and in His eternal faithfulness
00:06:38in keeping His covenant,
00:06:40His word.
00:06:42So that's the emphasis
00:06:43with Noah.
00:06:45With Daniel,
00:06:47we see Christ the Son
00:06:49as the centrality
00:06:51and universality
00:06:53of God's move
00:06:54and His second coming
00:06:57as the Son of Man.
00:07:01Then with Job,
00:07:03we see God the Spirit
00:07:04and His transforming work
00:07:06to carry out
00:07:08what is hidden
00:07:09in God's heart
00:07:11that we might gain God
00:07:14to become God
00:07:15in life,
00:07:17in nature,
00:07:18and in appearance,
00:07:19but not in the Godhead
00:07:21for the corporate expression
00:07:23of God.
00:07:26Noah,
00:07:27Daniel,
00:07:28and Job,
00:07:29patterns
00:07:30of living
00:07:31and overcoming life
00:07:33on the line of life
00:07:35to fulfill
00:07:37the economy of God.
00:07:39The economy of God
00:07:41is carried out
00:07:42by the divine dispensing
00:07:43to produce
00:07:45the corporate expression.
00:07:47So this is
00:07:49the general subject,
00:07:52the central thought,
00:07:54Now tonight,
00:07:57we come to the first
00:07:58of several messages,
00:08:00maybe six,
00:08:01maybe seven,
00:08:04on Noah.
00:08:06And it's entitled simply
00:08:08A Herald of Righteousness.
00:08:13And although there are
00:08:14excerpts from verses
00:08:15as the Roman numeral points
00:08:17on the outline,
00:08:18I would nevertheless
00:08:20like to read the verses
00:08:22from Genesis.
00:08:24that we might have
00:08:25some impression
00:08:26of God's view
00:08:29of Noah.
00:08:32Genesis 6,
00:08:348, and 9.
00:08:36But Noah
00:08:37found favor
00:08:39in the sight of Jehovah.
00:08:41These are the generations
00:08:45of Noah.
00:08:46Noah was a righteous man,
00:08:51blameless in his generations.
00:08:55And Noah walked with God.
00:09:01chapter 7,
00:09:03chapter 7,
00:09:03verse 1,
00:09:06Then Jehovah
00:09:06said to Noah,
00:09:09Come into the ark,
00:09:11you and all your household,
00:09:15for you alone
00:09:17have I seen righteous
00:09:19before me
00:09:21in this generation.
00:09:23what a remarkable testimony
00:09:27from the true
00:09:29and living
00:09:30God himself.
00:09:33Noah,
00:09:34you alone
00:09:36have I seen
00:09:38righteous
00:09:39before me
00:09:42in this generation.
00:09:49remember,
00:09:51at the time
00:09:52of Noah,
00:09:53there was no
00:09:55human government
00:09:56on earth.
00:09:58It was
00:10:00the dispensation
00:10:01of conscience.
00:10:04Man had fallen
00:10:06from the direct rule
00:10:07of God.
00:10:08the conscience
00:10:10was activated
00:10:11and for hundreds
00:10:14of years
00:10:16all the earth dwellers
00:10:18should have lived
00:10:20according to their
00:10:21conscience.
00:10:22But hardly
00:10:24anyone did this.
00:10:27Imagine
00:10:27a generation,
00:10:31a civilization
00:10:32with no
00:10:34government,
00:10:36no police,
00:10:38no law courts,
00:10:41no system
00:10:42of justice,
00:10:43no human
00:10:44rule.
00:10:46No wonder
00:10:47it was
00:10:48characterized
00:10:48by
00:10:50violence
00:10:51and
00:10:53man
00:10:54became
00:10:54flesh
00:10:56in God's
00:10:57sight.
00:11:01Surely
00:11:02it was
00:11:03an act
00:11:04of overcoming
00:11:04to be
00:11:06righteous
00:11:06before God
00:11:08in that
00:11:10generation.
00:11:13For God
00:11:14to say,
00:11:15Noah,
00:11:17you alone
00:11:18of all
00:11:20the people
00:11:21on the earth
00:11:22are righteous
00:11:23in my sight.
00:11:26Do you think
00:11:26all the other
00:11:27people
00:11:28were atheists?
00:11:30No one
00:11:30believed in
00:11:31God?
00:11:32No one
00:11:33had any
00:11:33regard
00:11:34for God?
00:11:35I find
00:11:36that hard
00:11:37to believe.
00:11:39But no one
00:11:41was righteous
00:11:41in that
00:11:42dispensation.
00:11:44No one
00:11:45cared for
00:11:45the conscience.
00:11:48They acted
00:11:48under fleshly
00:11:50impulses.
00:11:51The earth
00:11:51was filled
00:11:52with violence.
00:11:54But
00:11:55Noah
00:11:56found favor
00:11:58in the sight
00:11:59of Jehovah.
00:12:00Noah
00:12:01was righteous
00:12:02in that
00:12:04generation.
00:12:07One
00:12:07aspect of
00:12:08that generation
00:12:09was the
00:12:11fact that
00:12:12evil angels,
00:12:13especially
00:12:14wicked,
00:12:19materialized
00:12:20and
00:12:22fornicated
00:12:23with human
00:12:24females
00:12:25to produce
00:12:27the
00:12:27nephilim,
00:12:28a race
00:12:29of giants.
00:12:33So you
00:12:34not only
00:12:35have fallen
00:12:36human beings
00:12:36of flesh,
00:12:38you have
00:12:39these
00:12:40bizarre,
00:12:42monstrous
00:12:43beings,
00:12:45not truly
00:12:46human,
00:12:49demonically
00:12:50human,
00:12:52with
00:12:53superhuman,
00:12:54I suppose,
00:12:56capacity.
00:12:58Please
00:12:58recall that
00:12:59the Lord
00:13:00Jesus said
00:13:01of the
00:13:02generation
00:13:02just before
00:13:04his coming,
00:13:05as it
00:13:06was in
00:13:06the days
00:13:07of Noah,
00:13:09so shall
00:13:10it be in
00:13:10the days
00:13:11of the
00:13:11coming of
00:13:12the Son
00:13:12of Man.
00:13:14There will
00:13:15be violence,
00:13:16there will
00:13:16be lawlessness,
00:13:17and there
00:13:18will be
00:13:19tremendous
00:13:20supernatural
00:13:21activity,
00:13:23which for
00:13:24quite a
00:13:24period of
00:13:25time has
00:13:26pervaded
00:13:26the popular
00:13:28culture in
00:13:29all kinds
00:13:29of ways.
00:13:31So that
00:13:32if parents
00:13:33are not
00:13:34careful,
00:13:35children
00:13:35grow up
00:13:36under the
00:13:36influence
00:13:38of some
00:13:40spirit in
00:13:41the air
00:13:42driving
00:13:43them to
00:13:44be more
00:13:45than human,
00:13:47to be
00:13:48satanically
00:13:49human.
00:13:52And as
00:13:53it was
00:13:53in the
00:13:53days of
00:13:54Noah,
00:13:55there will
00:13:56need to
00:13:56be some
00:13:57overcomers
00:13:58in that
00:14:00generation.
00:14:02Some who
00:14:03are righteous
00:14:04in the
00:14:04sight of
00:14:05God,
00:14:06right with
00:14:06Him in
00:14:07every way
00:14:08according to
00:14:08His economy
00:14:09and according
00:14:10to God
00:14:11Himself,
00:14:12who overcome
00:14:14the tide
00:14:15of that
00:14:16crooked and
00:14:17perverted
00:14:18generation
00:14:18who are
00:14:20saved not
00:14:21only from
00:14:21eternal
00:14:22perdition,
00:14:23but saved
00:14:24from their
00:14:25evil generation
00:14:26and saved
00:14:27from God's
00:14:28judgment upon
00:14:29that generation.
00:14:30God must
00:14:31have those
00:14:32who know
00:14:33what God's
00:14:34will is,
00:14:35who participate
00:14:36in the building
00:14:37up of the
00:14:38corporate Christ,
00:14:39signified or
00:14:41typified by the
00:14:42ark,
00:14:42which we
00:14:43will see
00:14:43in future
00:14:44messages.
00:14:46And these
00:14:47ones,
00:14:48and now we
00:14:48come to the
00:14:49topic tonight,
00:14:51like Noah,
00:14:52must be a
00:14:54herald of
00:14:56righteousness.

00:15:43And there
00:15:44is a

00:15:46illuminating as
00:15:47all the

00:15:50Timothy
00:15:51chapter 2
00:15:52verse 7,
00:15:53which says
00:15:54that a
00:15:54herald is
00:15:56a
00:15:56proclaimer
00:15:57of the
00:15:58gospel of
00:15:59Christ,
00:16:01an official
00:16:02reporter of
00:16:05God's
00:16:05New Testament
00:16:06economy.
00:16:08A herald
00:16:10doesn't
00:16:10argue.
00:16:13He
00:16:13doesn't
00:16:14merely
00:16:15preach.
00:16:16He
00:16:17proclaims.
00:16:19He

00:17:41the ark, for
