00:05living in the basement it's been really hard getting it finally finished and
00:10looking amazing is gonna be super my dad would probably flip his lid if he saw
00:17this he's very much perfectionist never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that something
00:35like this would be a reality it looks so different now doesn't it I mean it's definitely become way
00:45more than we had planned right well it's almost like you don't need the rest of the house we've
00:55only got a week until the kitchen is arriving so all of this needs to be done before then walls
01:03and ceilings are really important actually underrated sometimes he's a good boy what keeps us going in
01:12between the highs and lows of the whole renovation project is when we can get together and do things
01:19as a family oh they're bringing it out I'm getting nervous now I think it's a crazy idea that's the
01:29end whose idea was is about a hundred feet of lights disaster with some guests coming in a few weeks
01:36it's
01:36gonna be really nice to have the Sun Terrace finished the clock is ticking on the Costa del Sol for
01:55Jasmine and John's renovation there's just a few weeks to go to get everything finished in time for a
02:01special gathering that's been organized for close family and friends we wanted to do a nice little
02:07housewarming party to invite everyone back to see how things have progressed but everything's delayed
02:19um we're still hoping to have everything done by then it will be challenging but with the invites already
02:28out and flights booked a last-minute cancellation is not an option and while the entertainment room
02:35in the basement is now fully operational a lot of the family's home is still a building site I knew
02:41when
02:41we took on this project that we would have to be living here whilst the renovation was going on but
02:47I
02:47think what I didn't anticipate was that it would be so dirty so noisy so overwhelming so many people in
03:04the
03:04house and so many different demands on my headspace I think we're kind of at the pinnacle at the moment
03:16of
03:16the most stressful time and hopefully we get over this peak and then it starts getting easier and it
03:25starts getting more finished and you start to see more progress so that's what I'm hoping right now one
03:32of the biggest challenges for Jasmine is that John is away from home filming in Wales in an extreme location
03:39I'm currently working at Mount Snowden which is it seems like and is a long way from jazz and the
03:45kids
03:45in the south of Spain it feels it feels weird I'm into about 10 days of being away from them
03:51and there's a
03:52lot going on in the house and I feel slightly helpless there's certain bits that I thought I would be
03:58doing
03:59certain bits that I would be finishing but we're really up against it time-wise so jazz is having to
04:05crack on
04:05but needs must I have to work I'm looking forward to getting home and grafting and putting in a stint
04:11of
04:11trying to finish the house even in summer temperatures can be close to freezing on the peak of Mount Snowden
04:21while in Spain Jasmine's team of builders are labouring in 40 degree heat
04:29I bought a watermelon yesterday me and the kids ate about a quarter of it I've got so much left
04:34and
04:34I thought I need to give some to the guys it's so hot today I thought a nice cold watermelon
04:41out of
04:42the fridge would be refreshing absolutely beautiful look at you absolutely sweating I think here because
04:50of the heat and the temperature you know you wouldn't really be wanting a cup of tea and a biscuit
04:56take
04:57some of that and then take some of this something really cold and refreshing like watermelon straight
05:05out the fridge is much more appealing thank you thank you perfecto yeah yeah at the moment the
05:19renovation team's main focus inside the house is the kitchen where the laying of the marble floor tiles
05:24has just been finished otherwise the kitchen is little more than an empty shell that kitchen just no walls
05:33no ceiling it is depressing to look at but once the plasterboard goes up then you can start to really
05:44visualize how it's going to come together when it's finished walls and ceilings are really important
05:51actually underrated sometimes plasterboarding will give the kitchen a basic shape but there's a long way
06:01to go before it's ready for Jasmine's new units to be installed the kitchen is going to be delivered in
06:09a week's time
06:10yeah exactly all of the electrics need to be finished the plumbing the plastering the painting
06:21I don't know how they're going to do it all in a week
06:28apart from hitting the kitchen deadline Jasmine's also on a mission to give the sun terrace a complete makeover
06:36originally the idea was to install solar panels up here but that would involve big structural changes
06:42with a hefty cost attached so the plan is on hold for the foreseeable future instead the terrace has
06:50been serving as a utility area I was happy for the sun terrace upstairs to be somewhere for laundry
06:57because most of the time it'll be too hot to sit up there in the sun but John was adamant
07:02that he
07:02really wanted it to be like a lovely entertaining area so the idea up here is to create a really
07:10chilled Ibiza kind of vibe with lots of greenery some nice lighting lots of natural textures I got a roll
07:24of wicker fence panels to attach to the wall just to give it a bit more natural texture and I
07:32think it
07:32will be quite a nice backdrop because it is going to be so bright up there I think the dark
07:38colour will
07:39actually just be a little bit less intense on your eyes the garden isn't ready it's still a building side
07:47so I've got some slight concerns about having a nice usable space for the housewarming party so
07:55getting the rooftop terrace up to speed and transforming it into somewhere that we can
08:01enjoy being outside and entertaining guests is really important I think it's not simply a case of
08:09getting the sun terrace ready in time there's also the matter of budget I bought a load of furniture from
08:17a friend when we first bought this house and one of the things that that was in the bundle was
08:24a dining
08:26table eight chairs and three sun loungers all for outside use I'm gonna have sun loungers over there
08:33on that side obviously minus the washing you know if we're actually lounging up here I won't have all
08:40everyone's smalls hanging up and then the tech this is a great big area and it could easily fit this
08:47big
08:47table that we've got so the only downside is the table is got a glass top so I've asked the
08:56guys to
08:57see if they think they could get that glass top up here either up the stairs which I'm not sure
09:03it's a very big piece of glass or up the outside of the building so we're gonna see if we
09:09can do
09:10that fingers crossed it will work because then I won't have to buy any new furniture for up here
09:17to help come up with the plan Jasmine is bringing in head builder Dominic we've been looking at various
09:25solutions trying to get it up inside the house I don't think it will go up the stairs because of
09:31the
09:31size of it and that would be fine because we can very easily take it up the outside of the
09:36building
09:37if only the tabletop itself wasn't glass because it's extremely heavy do you think it's possible if we
09:49pack it with something I think it's possible but risky I'll tell you why because the hardest bit is
09:54getting over over the very lip at the top one little dink on there yeah it will explode I think
09:58it's easy just to pass it and hope someone grabs it and because that's the problem you're reaching
10:03like this and it's quite it's quite heavy two guys can actually stand closer to the edge and you've got
10:08a
10:08hell of a lot more chance than taking it up through okay that's very good as well just in case
10:13it's
10:14secure as well I don't really have a solution for the tabletop yet we'll do it don't worry
10:40outside the house Jasmine and her team have been brainstorming and now the lifting of the second
10:46hand table to the Sun Terrace can get underway the plan that's been devised is to attempt hoisting
10:52up the glass top using a rope and pulley system so first one of the builders Liam wants to try
10:59it out
10:59using a wooden pallet as a standard so the guys are just having a little test to see if it's
11:10going to
11:11be possible the tricky part is going to be getting it over those roof tiles which we've got going up
11:15the house we're trying to figure it out this is me trying to be eco-friendly reusing recycling stuff
11:25that I've already got not spending money on new furniture getting it in place but if it's going
11:30to take five guys half a day to get it done then it's not worth it the worry is unlike
11:36the pallet the
11:37sheet of glass is heavy weighing in at nearly 40 kilograms when you are pulling down on this road
11:46straight down like that the pressure is not so bad but the trouble is the ledges on the on the
11:52roof
11:52if the glass hits that it's just going to shatter so we need a second rope to pull it outwards
11:58outwards and then that's got more pressure on which can cause it's a pop out you've got your swimming
12:04pool underneath yeah as the team sort out the extra rope Dominic directs the lifting of the table
12:15frame which is being done by hand that's a lot lighter piece of glass there the frame up to the
12:33roof
12:33terrace was easy the guys just sort of handed it to each other from one balcony to the next until
12:37it reached the top the glass table top was obviously a completely different scenario with
12:46the pulley system in place and a second rope to hand Dominic wants to reassess the situation himself
12:53Dominic I'm not sure he'll grab it well you gotta watch out for Ryan watch that wall that's the dodgy
13:00pit we don't think we could do it we won't okay yeah because it also the neighbors I don't want
13:05them to get their garden shadowed in glass Dominic felt quite confident that we could get it up there
13:10safely and he really wanted to give it a go oh they're bringing it out coming in mate just bring
13:18it out it's heavy it's heavy Vidas Dominic it's gonna just don't worry about it crazy idea don't worry
13:31about it it's too it's too risky what I like about Dominic is he doesn't like anything beat him he's
13:38very
13:39he can do and I could see he didn't want to let that glass table top beat him he's determined
13:46isn't
13:47it I'm very good at physics but this one's pretty heavy no but I don't want it to end up
13:52in there
13:52everywhere in the pool do you know what I mean I'm gonna go down and tell him because to reach
13:58that high
13:59you've got to be holding just the bottom foot and that means you've got no control over it we'll come
14:04up prototype number two don't worry no no we'll get some suckers no no no no I'll get Steve sucker
14:10on it
14:10you can put it in the skip okay I think we're gonna ball as much as I wanted to recycle
14:18and reuse that
14:19table when we got the glass table top in place I think we all realized that it was far too
14:27risky and
14:29that we'd have to find another solution what I'm thinking is that we could maybe just get some wood
14:37and create a table top of our own up there so we can make a nice easy table out that
14:42we'll get some
14:42upvc decking got the frame just cut it like that trim it and put it on top I'm happy that
14:49that frame
14:50has gone up there I'll have a look at it yeah don't worry about it just leave it like that
14:55a lot of
14:55excitement but nothing happened as well as project managing the renovation Jasmine is also now single
15:04handedly looking after daughter Joy and son Albion at home full-time we have really tried to
15:12minimize the amount of disruption for the kids which is difficult when you're living on a building
15:18site and now they're broken up from school and they're at home much more of the time it's even
15:23more difficult because they want to play outside they want to go for a swim or they want to have
15:28their
15:28friends over and all of that is not really possible because there's just work going on everywhere at
15:34the moment I mean at the end of the day they are very lucky kids you know they've got a
15:40lovely life
15:41and at the end of this process they'll have a beautiful home and it will all be worth it but
15:47it's it's tough actually for kids to deal with this sort of thing day in day out it's tough for
15:54adults as
15:54well with John still away filming in Wales and so much going on in the house Jasmine's decided it's
16:03time she and the children had a short break hey guys who wants a pan au chocolat me me nice
16:12holiday
16:13treat you want to come sit up at the table the kids and myself are in a lovely little holiday
16:22apartment on a resort just down the coast a little way I just needed to get out of the house
16:26it was
16:27too much the noise the dirt the constant decisions I don't think I realized how much it was getting
16:35to me until I actually arrived here it's nice and quiet here isn't it compared to at home and
16:42the way less dusty way less dusty oh it's been so nice to be able to chill out have fun
16:51with the kids
17:02okay when we first arrived I looked out of the window and I saw a pool right outside I said
17:07kids
17:08come and look and we looked it and then we just rushed to get our swimming things on and we
17:13all
17:13piled out and had a lovely swim ready mm-hmm it's so nice it's so relaxing I just feel like
17:38instead
17:39of being at this level of intensity I've just been able to come down to a normal even keel where
17:48I
17:48feel like I can cope again down on the Costa del Sol while Jasmine and the children are away the
18:08renovation team are working hard in the kitchen to meet their deadline one of the jobs on the list
18:15is preparing the marble floor tiles for polishing called grinding this process removes blemishes for
18:23a smooth shiny finish and it's a dirty job so Dominic was keen to get it out of the way
18:29first the plan for
18:31today was the marble guy is everybody's got to get out and let him do his thing but it's all
18:36gone a bit
18:37peaked on the grinder for the floor marble can't come he's someone's ill so now we've got to basically
18:44shuffle it all around although it's not ideal with so much to do in a short space of time Dominic's
18:51cracking on with the next task I'm boarding this wall up here in the kitchen rather than lose the day
18:58I
19:01just stabbed my finger and the guys are filling sand in it's getting there so loads of little jobs do
19:09you want to do bit this ceiling fella that's how good at you at balancing boards that's not great you
19:15can
19:15still adjust it later from the hotel she's staying in Jasmine is keeping up to date on the latest
19:31developments today they're plaster boarding the kitchen so that is ready for the plasterers to
19:38come in the plaster needs a few days to dry before we can paint it we've only got a week
19:45until the
19:46kitchen is arriving so all of this needs to be done before then hola Juan her priority is reworking the
19:55schedule starting with rebooking Juan the marble polisher there are a lot of processes that are all
20:17dependent on one another so I can actually have the headspace to do the work that I need to do
20:24to get
20:25this project across the line just by not being there and doing it remotely the problem is the
20:32kitchen is being delivered on Wednesday unless he wants to come on the weekend I was actually amazed
20:43at how productive I was able to be without people asking me different things every five seconds and I
20:50was able to focus a lot better my to-do list was going down instead of up it's now nearing
21:02the end of
21:03the family's mini break so before heading home they're exploring the nearby seaside town of Cala de Mijas
21:14Cala de Mijas is a really buzzing place it's a very popular holiday resort and somewhere that lots of
21:25people really enjoy there's loads going on there's beautiful beach you can go and just enjoy feeling
21:31like you're on holiday chocolate oh joy that looks good yes this looks yummy because the weather is so
21:44warm here we quite often get an ice cream when I think back to my childhood an ice cream was
21:51for only
21:52special occasions very rarely when the ice cream van came around um but living here I think we've been
21:59having quite a few ice creams but you know it'd be rude not to wouldn't it how's yours kids yummy
22:07I
22:08think if I remember rightly from my last visits here it was built in around the 1500s and it used
22:16to be a pirate watchtower and there's this funny story about one night a pirate who tried to come
22:24ashore instead of shooting him with bows and arrows they threw like hard loaves of bread at him
22:31and he ran away I can never quite switch off entirely from what's going on back at home because
22:37my phone never stops ringing pinging and problems and decisions and this that and the other but it
22:44is nice to just pretend for a minute that we're on holiday and have a nice little relaxing afternoon
22:51do you like it here it is very pretty it's lovely isn't it I can't believe it's so warm isn't
22:59it the
22:59ice cream's melting so fast I think the break was really needed by everyone probably even the builders
23:08they just could crack on with anything they needed to do so yes for the kids to have fun and
23:17be
23:17somewhere where they can just relax on their summer holidays for me where I can be less stressed I
23:25think it was as much for them as it was for me after her time away off-site Jasmine is
23:36rejoining the
23:37build in person first she's checking in with the team working on the kitchen where plastering has
23:43begun the ceiling and one wall are already nearly completed oh that's looking good guys it's amazing
23:52the transformation it makes isn't it so what is the plan there are now only three working days
24:15left before the new kitchen units arrive so to prevent damaging or spoiling them any job involving
24:21plaster paint or other chemicals must be finished that includes prepping the marble floor so I'm
24:28thinking if the floor polisher guy wants to come would he be able to start in one area that's not
24:33in
24:33your way let's try and figure something out I can't delay the kitchen because otherwise I won't get the worktop
24:50because they all shut down for the summer the kitchen delivery deadline has become all the more important
24:57because of another complication that's arisen it's vital that the kitchen is ready on schedule because we have got the
25:09worktop
25:10company coming on the very last day before they close down for the summer so if it's not done on
25:18that day we will have to wait until after the
25:21summer to get our kitchen worktop with a kitchen installation deadline they can't afford to miss
25:28they can't slow down but they need to come up with a solution for getting the kitchen tiles polished too
25:35the kitchen has to come when it's coming there's no backup plan for that otherwise we completely miss the window
25:41of getting the worktop in
25:43yeah he said he can come at the weekend oh happy days then but because the marble polisher can work
25:51at the
25:51weekend while they are off site Dominic is having a rethink if he comes and does this side and concentrates
25:59on this side and when we come in Monday we're going to be paying in cutting the electric sockets and
26:04things like that and hopefully he's finished this area and he's over there because quite a messy process
26:10that's the problem there is mess everywhere having the plasterers here at the same time as the floor
26:17polisher it's not ideal really because they need to be able to have the space available to do their work
26:25but we're trying to coordinate everything so that they can do one area at a time and then they can
26:32swap
26:33so in that respect you know we're finding solutions so that everyone can get their jobs done
26:42moving on next on chasmin's to-do list is the sun terrace and the dining table we decided that we
26:50would
26:50try and make an alternative tabletop for up here to save having to buy a whole new set because all
26:55these chairs and the loungers and everything all go together so this nice wooden table was able to come
27:01up in pieces and be assembled up here and it's just a really nice natural wood I think it looks
27:07even
27:08better with a little bit of this varnish on it and it will just be really hard wearing and durable
27:14it's actually quite therapeutic relaxing this kind of thing to be up here and no one talking to me no
27:23decisions to make just doing this you could get quite into DIY better late than never
27:37it's now been nearly two weeks since jasmine has been project managing the renovation on her own
27:44in the kitchen the time-saving strategy she and Dominic came up with has been put into play
27:51we've resolved the marble and the plasters they're working together now half the front room each so
27:58it's working they seem relatively happy even today I didn't know they were going to plaster the whole
28:04lot so they've gone a little bit extra so brilliant we will hit the target so the kitchen will be
28:12able to
28:12go in the good news continues for Jasmine if John's time away filming in Wales finally coming to an end
28:21I find it really difficult now being away for work and I sort of hate leaving jazz and the kids
28:26and
28:26leaving jazz with everything to do at the house but the plus side is to get home and sort of
28:32see the
28:33fruit of jazz's hard work and stress is amazing and it is energizing you kind of come home and you
28:40see
28:41what has changed at the house there's just so much going on that it's hard to keep on top of
28:48everything
28:48on my own so having John back is a huge help and it's also so nice to be able to
28:55have family time you
28:58know I think that's what keeps us going in between the highs and lows of the whole renovation project
29:05is when we can get together and do things as a family so before returning to the renovation John's
29:13joining Jasmine and the children with one of their friends on a visit to a local dog rescue center which
29:19has dog owners themselves they're keen to support we're all animal lovers although I have to say I'm
29:25slightly nervous that the kids are gonna want to take another dog home it's not the right time for us
29:32because we're living on construction sites right now Joy's friend Asha is tagging along with us as
29:39well the kids are just desperate to come and walk the dogs morning even though they're not adopting
29:46right now the family have offered their help to exercise the dogs on a voluntary basis welcoming them
29:52is the rescue center's president Susie would you like to see a new puppy that's just arrived yes
29:58yeah call us we'll take you in we'll catch up with you in a moment lovely so how long have
30:04you been
30:04running this place about three years but I've been a volunteer here for about 23 years really yeah how
30:11long has the charity been going 33 years how many dogs have you got in there we've got about 150
30:18at
30:18the moment yes and so the dogs come from from mainly the streets like dogs that are found on the
30:24street
30:24yeah all the all the dogs here all but a few or just abandoned we find them hanging on trees
30:29we find
30:29them in rubbish bins we find them in sacks and things like that we never put a dog to sleep
30:33unless it's
30:35terminally ill and we can't do another thing about it and believe me we bend over backwards to make these
30:40dogs better if a family like ours wanted to adopt a dog what's the criteria what what do you look
30:44for
30:44in a family well we always ask to come you to come and see the dogs first i would say
30:48half of the time
30:49the dog you think you want in your head isn't the dog you really need so it's always better to
30:53come here
30:54meet the dog take them for a walk then you can get to see the personality then you'll see oh
30:59that
30:59that is the dog for us
31:05they're new arrivals these dogs are being kept separate from the others so they can be put on a
31:10controlled diet to feed them back up to a healthy weight oh they're super hungry the problem is their
31:17tummies will just be tiny because they're not used to eating so we can only give them little bits at
31:22a
31:22time go on baby we're going to rehabilitate these we're going to get them well and we're going to find
31:27new homes for them and one you've done that in me because everything all worthwhile at the end of
31:32it yeah yeah it's amazing work that you do thank you we're proud of it because we can see the
31:40transformation i know i know
31:48to get a taste of what it's like being a voluntary dog walker jasmine and john have been paired up
31:55with
31:56two of the center's residents clancy and summer he's a good boy yes summer's such a pretty name
32:20he's happy
32:23oh look at you yes the dogs love the water and especially on a hot day like this
32:29you're living your best life now you've given me a little shower i think the dogs are ready now to
32:36head back there were two lovely dogs that were just sweet-natured just need someone to give them some
32:47tlc much no much there's a dog in there called munch and annoyingly has slightly stolen my heart
32:59do you need someone to rescue going into the evening i should be thinking about what we're
33:05doing for the renovation tomorrow but i'll probably be thinking about what munch was doing here and how
33:09much munch would benefit from a loving family like ours but i'm not sure the house is ready for another
33:14big
33:15dog yet there's 150 dogs or so in there all looking for a home
33:25you know it's quite upsetting to see them all every single one of them you know looking at you
33:30like pick me pick me pick me these wonderful people are picking up the pieces of all these poor dogs
33:36that someone else has abandoned or abused i'm glad we came and i think we'll come back again
34:00the summer sun is shining on the costa del sol and it's a big day for jasmine and the renovation
34:06team the new kitchen units are arriving and inside everything is primed for their installation
34:14seeing the space where the kitchen's going to go now it's all been painted and it's starting to look
34:19more like a livable space it's great and the kitchen's been delivered i think it's going to
34:26look amazing i can't wait to get it installed so it seems like everything is falling into place
34:35is that the whole kitchen oh there's still more coming oh look the tall columns just fit it's so
34:42nice to see the kitchen coming together because at one point when they ripped it all out there was no
34:50floor there was no walls and no ceiling and it was kind of terrifying but step by step everything is
35:02coming together and being put in place
35:09very exciting it looks beautiful it's almost better than i remember now i see it
35:15here in the house the handles are lovely the color is absolutely gorgeous
35:20i'm really looking forward to having a functional dishwasher again
35:24because we haven't got one downstairs in the basement kitchenette and uh yeah i can't wait
35:31i love my dishwasher the day also marks an achievement for dominic and his builders
35:37they've taken an empty shell and constructed new walls and a ceiling all plastered and painted within a week
35:44we've hit the kitchen target which was great bit of stress a little bit of stress so um it's all
35:51ready
35:51to go for them we've still got the splash backs the painting the decorating final touches bits of skirting
36:00board they're all little jobs but because they're finishing jobs they they're quite slow and quite you know
36:07it's got to look perfect so you know we're getting there however the pressure has now shifted onto
36:15the kitchen installers to keep to schedule the plan is that over the next two days they are going to
36:21fit
36:21the kitchen and the kitchen fitters have to finish the kitchen on time because the
36:32worktop company's final day for measuring is in two days so they have to do it then in order for
36:39us to
36:40get the worktop fitted before they go off on their break so there's no margin for error at all
36:48with the worktop company's holiday deadline in mind jasmine brings in kitchen designer rebecca
36:55to run her installation team herself all the furniture's here as you can see they arrive
37:02already assembled the guys are here now working and i've just been through with them the design
37:08so there's no question about what's on the plan and what's not on the plan fingers crossed everything
37:14goes smoothly i'm sure it will everything seems to be as it should be and tomorrow will be finished
37:20i'm kind of entrusting everything to the kitchen fitters and hoping they get it all right there's
37:28no reason why they shouldn't get it right because i've been through it enough times with rebecca
37:32and she's very meticulous leaving the kitchen installation to the person best place to manage the process
37:41jasmine enlists john's help to focus on another key area of the build the top sun terrace which they need
37:48to have finished in time for their housewarming party with some guests coming in a few weeks it's
37:54going to be really nice to have the sun terrace finished because the house is south facing i've
37:58always envisaged that once the sun is off the garden we'll spend the evenings with the last bit of sun
38:04on the roof we've had some guests in the past and i've slightly always hankered that we could take
38:09them up there for an evening drink but now i feel like the space i feel like we're proud enough
38:13of that
38:14space to sit and happily have some drinks in the evening it was originally john's idea to transform
38:20part of the sun terrace into an ibiza style lounge stroke chill out zone but in his absence jasmine's
38:27been making the design decisions yet another delivery to our house i mean i don't really order much
38:36i can't keep up with how much stuff jazz has ordered that's arriving at the moment
38:40i don't look at our bank account i keep seeing boxes around the house i'm like what is that what's
38:45that for why is no these are much smaller than i was hoping for anyway never mind
38:55where's the end coming off coming off this is a mess isn't it so put it on here and untangle
39:00it first
39:01that's it oh my god who's idea was it's about 100 feet of lights and then they're all tangled up
39:12this is a disaster surely they should have opened up easier than this this is going so badly i mean
39:21it's
39:21fine rolling out the lights we haven't actually got the biomas for the post up yet to hang them on
39:36it's not long until another one of jasmine's purchases arrives to fit in with the bamboo
39:42covering she's put up on the wall she's chosen soft furnishings with a similar beach club vibe
39:48oh look at that they just expand yes that's eight yeah they don't vacuum right that's satisfying
39:56open that's so satisfying they look nice this house needs storage just for jazz's cushions
40:02i have gone a bit overboard with cushions starting to shape up up here isn't it it's good having our
40:11roof terrace as a usable space not just for laundry it will be really nice it's just such a lovely
40:20spot
40:20beautiful views of the mountains and all the surrounding greenery so yeah i'm really happy
40:29downstairs in the kitchen work is progressing rapidly and after a day with no hitches the fitters have
40:35downed tools so jasmine and john are taking a sneak preview of the units that were once the showroom's
40:42display model oh my gosh it is better i love it that oh oh it looks so nice
41:09all that's missing it's the worktop it feels like quite a long time ago that we were looking
41:14around kitchen showrooms i vaguely remember being on crutches and probably not paying quite as much
41:20attention as i should do so i had forgotten what the kitchen really looked like so when the units
41:27had been fitted and we were sort of 70 there it was impressive it looked good i was like wow
41:32we made
41:32the right decision the colour is amazing it's beautiful i absolutely like it looks like the kitchen
41:41should be on target while up on the sun terrace jasmine and john's creation has finally come together
41:51it's not bad is it out here i mean you could make so much more of it be careful because
41:56it's full
41:57of dirty water oh god now after adding a few finishing touches it's time to find out if it meets
42:08expectations
42:15finally yeah
42:18and you took out the washing line i've always championed this roof terrace yes you always like
42:24we'll never use it it'll be too hot no we'll use it every single day for hanging out laundry but
42:29you had
42:30that clever idea of the um quick release washing line so you're not just a pretty face are you this
42:37is one of my
42:38favorite space in the house and i know that it's the one we've spent the least money on but that
42:44is
42:44makes it slightly more satisfying yeah exactly i want to reuse all the old lounges that we got
42:51second hand with that bundle of furniture and the table and eight chairs they're all perfectly all right
42:58just new cushions upside from the table was a stroke of genius the wooden table top i think looks nice
43:05and
43:05rustic i'm actually really happy to be able to reuse the stuff that we already had
43:13and it still looks nice i love a fairy line of festoon i still think i could sneak some more
43:18in here
43:18in the next few weeks oh knock yourself out whatever floats your boat
43:25actually i think from the initial idea that you had you wanted to make it like chill out ibiza
43:31and i was like no we'll never use it let's just keep it as a laundry area it's kind of
43:36a happy medium
43:37isn't it yeah yeah because it's because it's lovely but we can still it can still be practical
43:44laundry i sound like like i'm obsessed with laundry i mean but yeah well i'll openly admit that the speed
43:51at which you could dry clothes up here is amazing but this is way better well done well done you
43:57it would just
43:58be a laundry area if it was down to me so it's good that's leprechaun green beautiful color i love
44:12the color it is though i share but but yeah it's not it's too bright intensity at the moment so
44:18close
44:19to the end is ridiculous well if he doesn't do it on thursday it won't be done in time
44:27because he's only got thursday in front it's pushing it already
44:31i'm just having to leave it all in john's hands i don't it just couldn't be worse timing really
44:41you do it it'll be fine i think it's pretty touch and go as to whether everything will be finished
44:48on time at the housewarming party it's too close to call
