00:00This is how you turn a simple sweet potato into dinner.
00:03Million out of 10.
00:04My current hyperfixation are the crispy baked sweet potatoes.
00:08So that is going to be the base for this dinner.
00:09Just cut them in half.
00:11Then you just drizzle the cut sides
00:12with a little olive oil, rub it down,
00:15and then sprinkle with salt and pepper.
00:17And place them cut side down on your baking sheet
00:18and pop them into the oven, 375 for about 45 minutes.
00:21You let them cook and then you let them sit face down
00:24for a good 15 to 20 minutes afterwards.
00:26When it comes to the sauce, trust me,
00:27we're doing an Alabama white barbecue sauce.
00:30Gonna go perfect with the sweet potatoes.
00:32This is what it's all about.
00:34And I'm topping it, some barbecue pork
00:35that's been tossed in the red barbecue sauce,
00:37add some Colby Jack cheese on top of that,
00:39a little red onion, and of course pickles.
00:41And then finally, some white barbecue sauce.
00:44We're just gonna eat it like a barbecue sandwich.
00:46Oh my God.
00:47I knew it was gonna be good, but I didn't know
00:48it was gonna be that good.
00:48It's both sweet and salty, tangy, creamy,
00:52hint of spice, absolute perfection.
00:54Maybe the best way to serve up barbecue this year.
