00:06What I thought I was getting into in the very beginning was a group of African-American people
00:13who were no longer interested in the desires of the traditional world.
00:21Look at how beautiful your people is.
00:23We cared not for monetary gain.
00:27We didn't care about houses or flashy cars or shoes, clothes, those types of wealth.
00:36We weren't going to protest.
00:37This is a culture. This is a movement.
00:39We weren't going to invoke physical violence on anybody.
00:44Build your tribe off-grid. We family here, bro.
00:47We wasn't even going to take the judicial approach.
00:50We were going to start our own from scratch like people have done before.
00:57That was not the case.
00:58Fuck this world. Fuck everything in.
01:02It's supposed to make you go insane.
01:05It's gaming time.
01:06Nature Boy has always told every member, if you denounce me, you will be condemned from eternal life.
01:12And if he can make you believe that, then he has conquered your soul.
01:18The black man is gone.
01:20He needs everybody right now.
01:21All the niggas.
01:22All the niggas.
01:23I can't take a walk around the neighborhood without having to ask permission.
01:26I can't even leave the house.
01:28And that's how a kid's supposed to be treated.
01:30A lot of abuse happened.
01:32I would hear a lot of screams.
01:34Here comes the police.
01:36Helicopter circling.
01:37SWAT team in the back.
01:39They're breaking the door and say, yo, don't shoot.
01:43Don't shoot.
02:01I don't know.
02:13I don't believe cult leader is something that you pick up from a manual.
02:20I think that cult leader has to be accompanied by some type of mental disorder and your only agenda, the
02:32only thing you can process in your mind is yourself.
02:37What made it start escalating was that Velvet left.
02:42Bitch, did she left?
02:46When Velvet left, it just seemed like the dynamics of the cult changed.
02:50I miss my fucking daughter so fucking much, I'm hurting.
02:55I proceeded to give protection orders to keep me and my children safe from him.
02:59I'm not entirely sure where he is now.
03:03The reason for traveling was to stay outside of the United States jurisdiction so that he can get away with
03:09what he did.
03:11However, the last thing that I heard, he was in Atlanta, Georgia.
03:26Living in Atlanta, they were on a downward spiral.
03:30Honestly, living with Nature Boy was like living with like 14 different people.
03:34You never knew who you were going to get.
03:39He would assert his dominance in many ways.
03:42And one of them is just to humiliate us.
03:44You're automatically his slave now.
03:46So get with the program.
03:47Bitch, what did I tell you? Stay in the camp?
03:49Bitch.
03:53The only reason why I'm staying is because I wanted to keep my family together.
03:57But I really don't like this guy.
03:59Smack.
04:01It was honestly heartbreaking to see so many young people being controlled by a monster.
04:10My name is Jinye, and I am from Las Vegas, Nevada.
04:16Jinye is someone who had been watching Carbonation for quite some time.
04:22She was someone who was very proactive, I will say, boots on the ground.
04:29He really had them believing that he was God.
04:33On your knees.
04:35Who is your God?
04:37You are, I agree.
04:38I just felt like I have to do something about this.
04:41I thought that I could just create a community to help.
04:46I created this Instagram page named Carbon Nation is Falling.
04:51I created an alias, Agent Angelina.
04:55I would post about the fact that they're a sex cult.
04:58Post videos of, like, the behavior, specifically the abuse.
05:02I created some flyers to post on people's, like, mailboxes and stuff, and on their windshields,
05:07so they'll know it's a cult in your community.
05:12It was a lot of work.
05:14It took a lot of sleepless nights.
05:15But I don't regret it.
05:17Because Carbon Nation is a sex cult ran by a monster who gets pleasure out of destroying other people's lives.
05:26If you ever stand over me, I will.
05:28It was a video, specifically, where he was having someone feed him strawberries, and then he ended up slapping them.
05:48And I was like, this is just too much now.
05:51So I decided to call the police.
05:54I just knew, like, I couldn't give up until I seen him go to jail.
05:58Because that would be the only thing that would give these people a chance at life again.
06:04Police showed up every single day. It was almost on cue.
06:08Here comes the police.
06:10Like clockwork.
06:11Clockwork. Boom.
06:12Y'all can't fuck with the police.
06:14They can watch me. I'm not doing anything illegal.
06:16I'm gonna be very honest. Seeing the police presence showing up, it was heart racing.
06:22What's up, dude?
06:25Oh, yeah. That's why I record everything.
06:27Oh, I'm recording this? Are you good?
06:28Every time they would come, we would just say, like, oh, yes, would you like anything?
06:32Nature Boy would be like, hey, officer, yeah, come right on in.
06:35Everybody's cool.
06:35Okay. Thank you, guys. I appreciate it.
06:37It's all good.
06:38After they would leave, we'd be on live, and we'd be like, see y'all, nothing's going on here.
06:42Is everything okay?
06:44Everybody good?
06:44Your answer to their authority or my authority?
06:47Your authority.
06:48Outstanding.
06:48Outstanding.
06:50Nothing would ever stick. He really felt like he was just completely invincible.
06:53Listen, I let you in to let you know nothing was going on. I didn't have to do that. You
06:58work for me.
06:59I work for the states.
07:00And I pay taxes, so I pay your bills.
07:02Okay, have a nice day.
07:03We're gonna keep on pushing. We're gonna do whatever we have to do to see him go to jail.
07:17In the cold, there's a lot of ups and downs, there's a lot of ins and outs.
07:20The thought-stopping cliches weren't even working no more.
07:23I think it was always a lot of inconsistencies, but I think that the ridiculousness was so in our face.
07:29Janae wanted to leave.
07:32She was hit that night because she was supposedly disrespecting nature boy.
07:40We're just hearing her getting slapped over and over again.
07:43And next thing you know, they're having sex.
07:50I was assaulted that night by the women on his orders.
07:55When I tried to get out to my Uber, he calls me back inside.
08:00And he tells me, just let me come inside of you one last time.
08:08I just froze.
08:16I didn't know what rape was.
08:19Because within the cult, rape was a culture.
08:27It's so scary.
08:28It was so scary.
08:32It was so scary.
08:33I didn't know what to do, but to just pray to God.
08:38The real God.
08:45The next day, it was a lot of confusion.
08:47It felt like a lot of pain.
08:50A lot of hurt.
08:51I wanted to just heal.
08:53That's what I wanted.
08:56So I came back to me.
08:59Eligio and his nature decided to broadcast that Janae was beat up.
09:04And you know, she ended up leaving the cult.
09:06Not unfortunately.
09:08But a female was kind of slacked her pretty hard.
09:14We had sex.
09:15And then I woke up.
09:17She was gone.
09:21Along the years, me and Janae, we've had like a relationship online.
09:26I tried to call her.
09:28Her phone was disconnected and everything, like all her social media.
09:32The only thing that was still open was Facebook Messenger.
09:37And I messaged her, but I was like, hey, where are you?
09:40Are you good?
09:41Give me a call when you can't.
09:43My biggest thing was I just didn't want her to go back.
09:47And so I ended up telling her about the videos that he put of her on Twitter
09:52where they were like engaged in sexual acts.
10:07When I saw those sexual videos of me, it made me feel like humiliated.
10:13It made me feel like I would never have a life without Nature Boy.
10:17I never consented for them to be posted when I left.
10:22I Googled, I was like, is it against the law to post pictures and videos of people doing sexual acts
10:30without their consent?
10:32And it came up like revenge porn.
10:34I was like, oh, this is the crime.
10:35So you should press charges.
10:38I told her I had been talking to the detective, but they said that they would need a victim.
10:46Initially, you know, she was heavily, heavily indoctrinated with like that cult program.
10:51And she was like, man, I don't want to be the cause of like a black man falling.
10:55But it's about the fact that you deserve justice.
11:00We didn't know it was bad.
11:01We didn't know any of the sexual assaults were actually sexual assaults.
11:04We just went with it.
11:06And he would sodomize us and tell us that he can do anything to us.
11:14Jenny helped me understand, like, but it was hard me taking on all that.
11:21It was hard me taking on that title of me bringing down Nature Boy.
11:28And I'll never forget it.
11:32She called me and she's like, I'm ready.
11:35So the first step was she went to the precinct and they took a general police report.
11:46So my name is Jenny .
11:48I was recently a part of a cult that's known as a sex cult and they're located here in Atlanta.
11:58The person who runs it, his name is Elio Bishop.
12:01What happened is he's doing revenge cards and he has a big presence online.
12:05So he's posting cards of me and him without my consent.
12:17I first heard about Nature Boy, Elio Bishop, when a report was assigned to me.
12:24I am Sergeant Monica Panosian.
12:26I work for DeKalb County Police Department.
12:31Once I started investigating it and speaking with the other detectives,
12:35oh, well, that's the sex cult and everybody in the unit pretty much knew about it.
12:40There were a lot of welfare checks done before I got involved.
12:46We couldn't force anybody to come forward.
12:49We couldn't force anybody to claim to be a victim.
12:53So we would get stuck.
12:57Janae's case came across my desk, so we drove to have that initial interview with her.
13:04Our interview initially started with the allegations of the revenge porn.
13:08But as we spoke with her, we found out the allegations of rape and false imprisonment.
13:14Can you just give me a little background on what's going on?
13:17Okay, well, I just got out of a cult.
13:23The cult leader, his name is Elio Lee Bishop.
13:27I decided I wanted to leave.
13:31When I tried to leave, I went to say goodbye.
13:33He said, you're not going anywhere.
13:36I'm not letting you go.
13:37You know, takes my hand and he's taking me to the other room.
13:41He's telling me let's have sex.
13:43He's not going to really let me go at this point.
13:46We make love, and at this point I'm like, okay, I'm not going to get out,
13:50so I'm going to have to sneak out.
13:53Interviews concluded at 12.28.
13:58I felt almost excited because we had enough foreign arrest warrant, but the scale was huge.
14:11It was surreal.
14:12This was a major thing for us.
14:15There's a history in the U.S. with cults going bad.
14:18Tragedy tonight in Waco, Texas.
14:20At least four federal agents and a member of a cult group are dead after an hour-long gun battle
14:26at the cult's ranch.
14:2714 other agents were wounded in the shootout that started when law officers tried to enter the compound.
14:32The last thing I wanted was anything to go bad.
14:36We had to properly identify him.
14:39He wasn't going by Elysio Bishop.
14:41He always went by Nature Boy.
14:43Me. I am Master Teacher. Nature Boy.
14:46So now we have to figure out, okay, do we have the proper identification on him?
14:50Then we started to identify the other people in the cult.
14:54Everybody goes by a different name.
14:56Tell them your name, Reflection.
14:58I'm EJ.
14:59I'm Master True.
15:00Captain Solar.
15:02After that, we had to start on the history.
15:07The main person I worked with was the T.
15:10She had documented his journey.
15:12She had a history that was very important for us.
15:18It was a whirlwind of emotions.
15:23When the detectives reached out to me to ask for videos of the abuse, it's become something greater than what
15:31I ever thought.
15:36So it was a huge relief when I knew that I wasn't going to have to document abuse anymore.
15:46Elysio promised spiritual enlightenment that turned into an environment that he used to have sex with women.
15:56You must connect back to nature.
15:58You must connect back to nature.
15:58To lure men to protect him, to be the fall guy when needed.
16:05Carbonation is a sex cult, a dangerous and destructive sex cult.
16:13Once we started watching the videos, we focused on his behavior.
16:18One of the limitations we had with the evidence was where did it occur.
16:24Most of the stuff didn't happen in DeKalb County.
16:27So there were crimes we had no right to press charges on.
16:31We also needed a search warrant.
16:33There were all of these electronics in that house.
16:37Angels of the Mozart!
16:39How did we discern that this was a cult?
16:41That this is someone who is controlling these people, who's manipulated these people?
16:47Elysio, he's not a stupid person.
16:49I think he knew the signs that something was coming.
16:59In the house, we're doing lives.
17:01He's not telling us anything about what happened that night.
17:04Just calling Janae crazy.
17:06He's not really telling us a story.
17:08Next thing you know, we do indeed get a warrant in the mail.
17:12But when I showed it to him, they said,
17:14Man, throw that away, man.
17:15And so I'm like, it's a real warrant.
17:17And they're just like, throw it away.
17:18That's trash.
17:20We all forget about it.
17:22He's making fun of the police.
17:26Next thing you know...
17:27Police cars, all in the front yard.
17:31Helicopter, circles.
17:34SWAT team, in the back.
17:35Helmet, Kevlar, with shields.
17:38Vest, battering rail.
17:39Everything.
17:40Hey, we're good! We're good!
17:41Then they knock down the door.
17:44They breaking the door open.
17:45Yo!
17:45Coming out!
17:46Coming out!
17:47Watch out!
17:47Don't shoot!
17:49They came in there.
17:51Searched the house.
17:52They arrested him.
17:53They arrested everybody, technically.
17:55Put your hands behind your back.
17:56He's in cuffs.
17:57He's walking to you. I got it.
17:58But they really only wanted him.
18:00Y'all, it's going down.
18:01It's going down.
18:02It's going down.
18:02We're live here.
18:03Channel 12 Bego News, y'all.
18:05Charlie with the mother .
18:06He is here, yes.
18:07The court has been turked around,
18:09hanging for the good and for the better.
18:12All of y'all need to take this as an opportunity to get out and get to packing.
18:19Aligio Bishop, a.k.a. Nature Boy and Guy himself,
18:22a whole lot of hot water.
18:24It's boiling.
18:25You understand me?
18:28DeKalb County police raided a home after a three-week investigation.
18:32Bishop was taken to the DeKalb County jail on charges of rape,
18:36false imprisonment, and sharing sexually explicit content on social media.
18:40Some officers, detectives, and a tactical team swarmed the home.
18:43Several people were led away in handcuffs and put into squad cars.
18:46He controls them.
18:47Lately it's been turned into abuse from what the neighbors been complaining about from what I hear.
18:51Police would only tell us that Bishop was taken to the DeKalb County jail.
18:55I first found out he was arrested through social media because everything went viral.
19:00I was very shocked.
19:02You know, those people pried my child out of my arms to allow him to abuse me.
19:06And they knew that I wasn't in the wrong.
19:09Go!
19:10Go!
19:15I was happy.
19:20When I found out that he had charges, initially I was only aware of the revenge porn charges.
19:28So when we found out that rape charges and false imprisonment charges were added, I was surprised.
19:36Police arrested him here at this home in the neighborhood in DeKalb County.
19:40When he's arrested, honestly it felt surreal.
19:43In my mind, he's not locked up.
19:46In my mind, I keep the thought frequency that he is free.
19:49From that point, everybody's released except for Nature Boy.
19:52Literally the only person that's not released is him.
19:54Certain people choose to leave.
19:58Four years of indoctrination.
20:01What in the world just happened?
20:08Is this going to be another situation where he's going to escape the system?
20:28Bishop is on trial for rape and is said to be the leader of the alleged cult Carbon Nation.
20:33He's accused of raping a female member as she tried to escape and then posting revenge porn online.
20:44So it was about two years since I pressed charges on Nature Boy and a lot happened.
20:51I was definitely harassed and very much abused by online critics.
20:58The whole world is looking at Mr. Bishop like he's a bad guy.
21:01Because these news channels and these trolls from the internet, they defame his character.
21:06A lot of people called me a liar.
21:09The alleged victim never ever used the word rape.
21:15I don't know about the rape charge.
21:19Obviously, it's always going to be her word against his, especially when there is not that physical evidence.
21:30I'm going to tell my truth.
21:32People are going to know our stories.
21:35And I think that, ultimately, justice will be served.
21:40I think that he will end up in jail because I feel like he doesn't know when to stop.
21:50I was a bit nervous.
21:51I was just glad just to get it out because a lot of people didn't know exactly what happened that
21:57night.
21:58We raised your right hand and I will swear you in as the official child of Jervis and Ms. Hayes.
22:04Between the state of Georgia and Elegio Bishop.
22:11The threat that runs through this entire story is a desire for spirituality.
22:18What you will hear from all of the former members, Aaron, from Kendra, from Janae and Velvet.
22:24The young people longing for a kind of knowledge.
22:31March 24, 2022, Janae alleges that this young man here, Elegio Bishop, raped her.
22:39She also was falsely imprisoned by Elegio Bishop, meaning that she was not allowed to leave.
22:46She gives an interview to law enforcement.
22:48She never actually tells law enforcement that Mr. Bishop raped her.
22:52She described making love.
22:55The big point in this case is whether or not she decided to make love to him or not.
23:01That's what the state has to prove to you.
23:04All right, call your first witness.
23:08It felt good to speak up against my abuser.
23:11He felt small to me.
23:14It felt like, now you listen.
23:23I want to take you to the night of March 24, 2022.
23:28Do you remember that day?
23:35March 24, 2022.
23:38He basically was trying to convince me to sleep with him.
23:42How did you respond to that?
23:44I said, no.
23:45I said, I don't want to.
23:47I kept rejecting him, actually.
23:49And he kept telling me, let me come inside you one more time.
23:53And I asked him, why would you want to do that?
23:56He puts his hands up.
23:58And he told me, I'm not going to rape you.
24:01And when he said that, I froze.
24:04He's never said that word with me before.
24:07He's never even told me he's never going to rape me before.
24:11So, when he had said that, I froze.
24:14I didn't know what to do.
24:16Why did you feel like he couldn't leave in that moment?
24:20He had his arms around me and my legs around him.
24:25And I felt like I couldn't resist him anymore.
24:29And I kept telling him, no.
24:33I said, it's myself, I'm going to do it one more last time.
24:36And he inched in and he said, okay.
24:39And I said, all right, okay.
24:41He went ahead and proceeded to do it.
24:46You started having sex at that point?
24:48What happened next?
24:52My body started to shut down.
24:55I felt like my body started to reject him.
24:58At this point, I'm crying to myself.
25:02So, after that, after he was done and he finished,
25:07I told him, I still want to leave.
25:10And he interrupts me and says, shut up.
25:14You're my bitch.
25:16You're my property.
25:18You're not going anywhere.
25:20You're not going nowhere.
25:24I felt powerful in some type of way.
25:27I also felt vulnerable.
25:29I had a mission.
25:30I had a purpose to do.
25:32I felt like I was the only one that could do it in that moment.
25:40Good afternoon, Miss.
25:41My name is Robert Book.
25:43I represent Mr. Bishop.
25:44I just have a few questions for you, okay?
25:46Yeah.
25:46Okay.
25:47So, he's asked you a bunch of times, have sex with me, have sex with me.
25:50And your response is no.
25:51No, no, no.
25:52No.
25:53And then, eventually, he says it just one more time and you say, okay.
25:57After he said, I'm not going to leave you.
26:00Mm-hmm.
26:02Which means he's not going to, he's not going to force you, right?
26:05I didn't know that.
26:08Watching the trial was actually crazy.
26:11Listening to his attorney, I'm like, wait, he might, he's actually sounded pretty good.
26:15Like, he might have a chance.
26:16So, your response was, okay, right?
26:20I was scared after he used the word rape.
26:24You were so scared that you left the Uber outside and came back inside the house and went to the
26:28second floor.
26:29I was confused.
26:30I was vulnerable.
26:31And I was being wounded.
26:34You know, they had this whole plan.
26:36I'm like, dang, like, what if he actually gets out?
26:41All right.
26:42It's been a long day.
26:48I'm feeling pretty positive about it.
26:49When Booker got up and he got a chance to cross-examine, I feel like it went pretty good.
26:54More of the facts are coming out.
26:57We are live in DeKalb County this afternoon.
26:59With this court case now paused until Thursday at 9 a.m., the judge says everyone will come back then
27:05and they will continue this trial.
27:20Today, I will be giving my testimony.
27:25I'm looking forward to it.
27:27I don't want to carry this over any more than we already have.
27:31Me and Kendra are married, so there's a level of mutual understanding between us.
27:38I think because we have each other, it's not as hard, but it is a hard thing.
27:44I think dealing with the feelings of being here and not knowing what to expect.
27:49Mm-hmm.
27:50I was thinking, oh, snap, what if I stumble?
27:53Then I'm like, oh, they're going to think I'm lying or they're going to think I'm, like, you know, trying
27:58to dodge the question.
27:59The thing is that you're human, we're human.
28:02Mm-hmm.
28:02They're not going to be judging you to that degree that you judge yourself.
28:16Were folks able to say no to a lead Jeobishop?
28:20No.
28:21Not without some form of reprise or some type of reprimand.
28:25What would happen if someone said no?
28:27That varied.
28:28So I've seen people be put in closets.
28:31I've seen people be kicked, slapped, hit.
28:38So the main points with this was the history of his behaviors that we saw from not only Mr. Bishop,
28:47but also his followers.
28:50Mr. Bishop would often refer to women as not having their own mind.
28:58He said we were his property and that he could do anything he wanted to us.
29:03No one was coming to save us in this foreign country.
29:07He said no one cared about black girls like us.
29:15The abuse that was inflicted upon them was actually not even looked at as abuse, but in fact it was
29:22considered to be disciplinary.
29:24And I will have my weight with you as I seem with it.
29:28When I want to, where I want to be.
29:32How I want to be.
29:33And if any one of you disrespect me, then to the abyss you go.
29:43When I finally testified, I felt like war. Like, it was like war. Like, that's how I felt. I felt
29:50like I was here to protect my bloodline.
29:52Bloodline.
29:54Bloodline.
29:55I've literally witnessed Henrikio Bishop threatening to kill me and my child on multiple occasions.
30:04He said that my life is over if he ever saw me again.
30:09And I have to not protect my family, my child from himself.
30:15And that's all I have to see.
30:19I had heard that the defense had, had some trouble with Eligio Bishop.
30:26Do you want me to talk to your client in the back?
30:29Okay, let's take five minutes.
30:32He had expectations that couldn't be met because they're not legally viable.
30:39And so instead of having an attorney who was able to control his client, his client was trying to control
30:45him.
30:46Okay, I would like to fire my attorney and find new counsel.
30:50Okay, that is not an option. We're not stopping the trial for you to get a new lawyer. That's not
30:55how this works.
30:56It got shut down.
30:58Mid-trial, you cannot stop and fire your attorney without a just cause.
31:03The options are proceed with Mr. Booker or proceed without an attorney.
31:10He wanted more of his followers to testify.
31:15But if you put all those people out there, they're then subject to a cross-examination by the prosecution.
31:22You just testified on direct that you had never seen Mr. Bishop be violent with anyone in the group.
31:28That's a fact.
31:31Get some stinking ass off me, huh?
31:35And that's not true, is it?
31:37That is true.
31:38I didn't know how the judge felt about Nature Boy.
31:42By the end of the trial, you could figure it out and you could tell she was not his biggest
31:48fan.
31:49She was as frustrated probably as his defense attorney with him, if not more.
31:57Mr. Bishop?
31:59Do you want to be heard?
32:05Michelle.
32:07At all times.
32:09All right, what is it you'd like me to consider?
32:13I just want to say something to all of them.
32:17I forgive you.
32:18I forgive you.
32:19I forgive you.
32:19And I still love you.
32:21I forgive you.
32:23And I still love you.
32:25All right.
32:26I just needed the courtroom.
32:27We're done with that.
32:28What is the recommendation from the state?
32:31You've watched the defendant laughing in court as these young women are telling their stories of your honor again.
32:38He does not believe he did anything wrong.
32:41And he will be a danger to this community and a danger to any women he encounters.
32:47As a defense attorney, you know, my job and my obligation is to zealously defend my client.
32:53There's only one true God and it's not Elagio Bishop.
32:57And he knows that.
32:59And I'm sorry with everything these folks have had to go through in this case.
33:05I do think Mr. Bishop, though, judge, is redeemable.
33:11In all honesty, I wasn't sure on how the outcome could go because it's up to a jury.
33:16So you just never know what they're going to decide.
33:21And those jury deliberations are underway right now.
33:24As soon as there's a verdict, we'll let you know.
33:34Guilty or not guilty.
33:38It's in the hands of the citizens of DeKalb County and how they feel about the nature of this case.
33:44And if they feel like this person belongs back in their community.
33:57Do we have Mr. Bishop in courtroom seat?
34:01Yes, sir.
34:01OK.
34:06I understand the jurors have reached the verdict.
34:18This is the verdict of the jury in indictment number 24, CR 1183, State of Georgia versus Elagio Bishop.
34:30Count one is raped.
34:39On count one, how does the jury find?
34:44Guilty.
34:50And count two, false imprisonment.
34:55Guilty.
34:56Count three, count four, and count five.
35:02Guilty.
35:10When I heard them say all guilty, I was just like, wow, finally someone believes me.
35:21I would have been inclined to exercise some discretion had Mr. Bishop shown any remorse, guilt, or regret throughout this
35:31process.
35:33I mean, Mr. Bishop, you're a master manipulator.
35:37You took advantage of these folks who were looking for some guidance, looking for some connection, or looking for some
35:49comfort, and you were able to fill a void for them.
35:54You don't want to let me out.
35:55But in the process, you completely took advantage of them, and have caused a potentially irreparable harm.
36:08He'll be sentenced to life without the possibility of parole, followed by 10 years consecutive for the false imprisonment.
36:27I have to be completely honest.
36:30It was very emotional.
36:35Gonna get emotional now.
36:36But it was like my work paid off.
36:40So.
36:47When a judge had announced the verdict, I was, I was so happy.
36:59Like, people look down on me for being this happy, but I don't care.
37:05I'm happy.
37:08So the moment she was like, life?
37:11Plus 10?
37:12No parole?
37:15I get to live my life in peace.
37:20I do feel like I missed out on a lot of time that I can't get back.
37:27Sometimes your family never come back around after stuff like that.
37:30Sometimes your friends never come back around after stuff like that.
37:35I've watched people who were in carbonation go back home and their family does not accept them anymore.
37:41They are completely alone.
37:43I've watched people crash out.
37:46What do I do?
37:47Go out into the world and people are gonna be like, hey, I haven't seen you around in a long
37:52time.
37:52Where have you been?
37:55What am I gonna say?
37:56I was in a cold.
37:58I'm just gonna tell them like I was out here running behind some guy named Nature Boy.
38:02And I thought that I was living, you know, gonna have eternal life in the jungle with this guy.
38:06Like, it's life destroying.
38:10You know, like my whole life felt like it was just like shattered.
38:16I feel guilty for everything that we didn't do.
38:19You gotta know exactly who you are, what the truth is, or you lead yourself to anybody.
38:25They can potentially mislead you.
38:29So much richness that was in carbonation that was taken away.
38:36Golden people covered in dust, battered, bruised.
38:39It had to be dismantled.
38:41It had to be destroyed so people can resurrect and be the people that they're meant to be.
38:49He will continue to maintain his innocence.
38:52He will continue to blame the system and white supremacy.
38:58He will blame the victims.
39:01And that will be his story more than likely until the day he dies.
39:08Everything that I talk about, I live this shit, man.
39:12I don't think it is the complete end of Nature Boy, unfortunately.
39:16He'll try to revive something.
39:21So Nature Boy may live on.
39:30This is a prepaid call from Nature Boy.
39:34An inmate at the DeKalb County Jail.
39:38You ain't never met no one like me.
39:42Never will, baby.
39:43No.
39:44I don't know about the history.
39:46You ain't never met any.
39:49I promise you again.
39:51I promise you again.
39:55I promise you again.
