00:00We gather in Astana to reaffirm our shared responsibility to protect our planet.
00:09It means that the states of our region clearly understand the urgency and extreme significance of having shared vision for
00:19a resilient future.
00:22Ecology today is not limited to climate alone.
00:27It is the very foundation of human livelihood.
00:43The Regional Ecological Summit in Astana brought Central Asian states together to align positions on environmental issues ahead of international
00:51negotiations.
00:52Senior representatives of the United Nations, international organizations and financial institutions took part.
00:59After three years in the making, the dialogue culminated in regional leaders adopting a Joint Declaration on Environmental Solidarity of
01:07Central Asia.
01:08The countries, most of the most affected global change of climate, remain one by one with its consequences.
01:16We are confident that international solidarity should be expressed in order to ensure the time and time, right and easy
01:28access to the developing countries to climate finance, forward technologies and innovation.
01:36Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan committed to strengthening cooperation on environmental protection, biodiversity, chemical safety, waste management, air quality,
01:48land degradation and desertification.
01:50Leaders also endorsed President Kasim Jumar Tokayev's proposal to establish an international water organization under the UN alongside an international
01:59biodiversity fund and a program of the Caspian Sea.
02:02A five-year regional environmental action plan developed in partnership with the UN was also approved, including a joint climate
02:09investment portfolio.
02:10For the UN's priorities, in the UN is a right, and the UN was approved, for the UN's question of
02:39the UN's, for the UN's questions.
02:44Centro-Asia states are now looking to factor in the growing climate burden across the region
02:49as they move to implement the new action plan.
02:52Calls for stronger regional cooperation on water allocation, data sharing and long-term
02:57resource management echoed across national delegations.
03:01Countries worked alongside UN agencies and European partners to coordinate solutions
03:06on climate transition, air pollution, food security, and the sustainable management of natural resources.
03:13The action plan also places new emphasis on resource efficiency,
03:18with countries stepping up efforts on waste management and circular economy solutions.
03:22We are paying more attention to the circular economy.
03:25Why are we doing that? Because the resources are limited, as you know.
03:31So we want to earn more from the West and get resources back to the economy.
03:39The summit also unlocked major green investment deals.
03:42During the International Exhibition of Green Technologies, 17 agreements worth nearly €2 billion were signed,
03:49covering renewable energy, waste management, industrial decarbonization, and fertilizer production.
03:55Kazakhstan's new energy transition platform, Kajet, launched with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development,
04:01aims to deliver at least 10 GW of renewable capacity by 2035, helping cut over 20 million tons of emissions.
04:09We are from this event, from Central Asia, from Central Asia, with a clear intention to continue work
04:18on improving the situation of the environment, the climate, the climate conditions,
04:26on reducing the CO2 emissions, on reducing the CO2 emissions.
04:30And in all this we see very good support of international organizations,
04:34and international financial instruments.
04:36Questo è l'ultimo risultato, quello che abbiamo avuto.
