00:01a group of mississippi middle schoolers saved their entire bus this is incredible i don't know
00:09about you guys middle school bus i weirdly like went to a middle school that was way too far away
00:14for one year yeah because they redistricted after that year to like be like okay these kids do not
00:20need to be driving like 45 minutes but that happens right where your kid is on the bus for
00:24like an hour or something every by a middle school to get to my middle school that i ended up

00:30later the point was you're doing anything but paying attention to what's going on outside of
00:35the school for sure especially now right they've got their airpods in their headphones right they're
00:40on their phones well get this a group of middle school students acted quickly to prevent a school
00:45bus crash when their driver experienced a medical emergency yikes yeah leah taylor is the driver
00:52she was behind the wheel when she blacked out from an asthma attack oh my gosh while transporting
00:58about 40 students to hancock middle school in mississippi wow that's when 12 year old jackson
01:04took control of the steering wheel as the bus began to swerve so obviously these kids are like
01:10whoa whoa what's going on students worked together including darius clark kaylee clark they were actually
01:16able to bring the bus to a stop on a highway medium oh my gosh another student called 9-1

01:22one other classmates including destiny cornelius and mcfriend uh mckenzie finch assisted the driver
01:28by administering her medication wow that she had on her person and contacting the school officials
01:35so this is just like a real team effort every kid is taking care of some angle whether it's calling
01:41the school calling the authorities helping the driver pulling the bus over emergency responders
01:47arrived moments later and took over care fortunately no one was injured in the incident and the bus
01:54driver made a full recovery oh amazing school officials praised the students heroic actions
01:59right highway median so imagine how fast that bus is going right you know because and and they're on a
02:04like right that's big enough to have a median yeah so they're doing 60 miles an hour 65 plus other

02:32thing to do but it starts that young right like it starts that young with the kids that are just

02:37just jumping into action so admirable amazing so they were recognized at their school pep rally
02:44oh yeah and they're scheduled to attend a celebratory lunch in their honor oh that's awesome incredible
