00:00I would describe as a fun process, I'm sure Yamaha would describe the process as arduous, probably.
00:43Hey, I'm Chris Buck, and this is me and my guitar, quite literally, I know that to be true because
00:47it has my name on the back of it, this is a little surreal to say the least, but this
00:51is my Yamaha signature model, it's kind of based on a signature, or a custom shop model I should say,
00:56of Revstar that I've been playing for, ooh, about six years I guess maybe,
00:59and obviously a Revstar that I've been playing then for about 10 years I guess, give or take, so fell
01:04in love with the 502, RS502, back in about 2016, that turned into a custom shop, the Yamaha very kindly
01:10made me then in 2020, that I've been using religiously for about the past six years, and then the combination
01:17of all that is this signature model, Honeygold, Master Volume, Master Tone, three-way switch, kind of simplified three-way
01:24switch you could say, as opposed to five-way on the kind of more typical Revstar these days,
01:28two custom voice P90s that were, I would describe as a fun process, I'm sure Yamaha would describe the process
01:34as arduous probably, we put a lot of effort into those, dynamic, responsive, articulate, just a very fun guitar to
01:41play,
01:42rap over tailpiece, much like P90s, I don't think rap over tailpieces get quite the amount of love that they
01:47probably deserve, for me they feel like the kind of truest conduit I guess between the guitar's innate, natural acoustic
01:53resonance,
01:54and it's electric sound, like, uh, custom inlays taken from an RS720B, uh, which was one of the first round
02:01of styles I had back in the day, which I fell in love with, uh,
02:03Cleozo style tunas, obviously my signature on the back of the headstock as well, just, uh, just in case for
02:09any unfathomable reason you don't like me, but you do like this back of the guitar, we thought we'd hide
02:12that away,
02:13um, and that is pretty much it, and we've got them proud of it, it's been a while in the
02:17making now, I've been playing this particular prototype for,
02:19uh, probably the last 18 months or so, um, but it's nice to finally see a cup to fruition, and,
02:25and be sat in front of an eight foot version of myself on the wall, so, uh,
02:29winner, hope you like it.
