00:05the consensus is out all throughout social media in the nfl in the consensus is that joe shane
00:12donna ponte and john harbaugh absolutely cooked this draft but we're gonna have to wait and see
00:18how this year's draft class kind of turns out but now that the dust has settled let's bring in our
00:23giants beat writer for the post paul schwartz for his post draft reactions not post mock
00:29draft reactions paul we finally got the real thing uh i guess before we start breaking down the the
00:35first rounders i mean what do you think of it all was it everything that you thought it was going
00:41to
00:41be in terms of uh john harbaugh's first draft as giants head coach um yes and no i mean you
00:48know
00:48i did five mock drafts for the post and i did not have alvaro reese in any one of them
00:52going to the
00:53giants at five and that was simply because i did not think he would be at the giants at five
00:58i think
00:59the giants expected reese to go to the jets at number two so we'll get into all that um yeah
01:05i
01:05mean it it it you know the drafts picks make sense you know i try to go down you know
01:11each year and i
01:12kind of look and see okay let me see the list of the picks for this class and that makes
01:16sense that
01:16makes sense that makes sense that might have been a little bit of a reach that might have been a
01:20little bit of a reach that one i don't understand that one makes sense you know and so you know
01:24this
01:25made sense um you can't fill every hole with seven picks you just can't do it you know what i
01:31mean i
01:31mean maybe if you're the seattle seahawks you can because you have fewer holes but um you can't you
01:37know if you if you sign a cornerback then it doesn't help your tight end room if you sign a
01:41tight end it
01:42doesn't help your guard room so um but i think what that made sense i think they have the potential
01:47to
01:47have three um starters three you know and but you know what brandon every year you can say that
01:54about some things right that and and sometimes it works out sometimes it doesn't so we'll wait and
01:59see but um yeah let's dive into it i mean it was it was definitely not a hundred percent what
02:04i was
02:04expecting no i i kind of lied or embellished earlier when i said the consensus was that they they cooked
02:11the only knock that i've heard from giants fans and people that i've talked to is that
02:16paul the 2026 first round looks eerily familiar to the 2022 first round when they drafted kvon at five
02:23and evan neal at seven arville reese came off the board at five like you said then francis mawinoa goes
02:30at 10 is the 2026 first round do they give you more hope than the 2022 first round paul well
02:39if you
02:39want to you know if you want to take the negative spin on it you can say okay they drafted
02:44a guy at
02:44number 10 cc mawinoa and they're immediately changing his position right he was a right tackle
02:50for three years at miami and now he's going to be a right guard for the giants okay why does
02:55that make
02:55sense at the number 10 pick right you know that's what's something you do in the fourth or fifth or
02:59sixth round why are you doing that with the 10th pick in the draft you look at arville reese and
03:03you
03:03say well wasn't he an edge rusher you know and now we're going to make him a weak side linebacker
03:08you know he is the first linebacker that the giants have taken in the first round since carl banks as
03:14far as an inside linebacker that was 1984 so that is you know really we're drafting an inside linebacker
03:23um with the fifth pick so those are like devil's advocates why are we doing this but um no i
03:29there
03:29are no similarities yes they drafted a a defensive edge type player i mean kvon was not a linebacker he
03:36was an edge guy and we they drafted an offensive lineman with the second pick um in 2022 and again
03:42in 2026 but you know players are not created equal and drafts are not created equal and um you know
03:48i'll tell you one thing the giants better hit bigger with both of these players than they did in 2022
03:55it's a it's kind of how i looked at abdul carter is like a you can't miss with this kid
04:00like even if
04:01you do move him to that will backer position paul when you watch the tape and you see how matt
04:06patrista used him he had him stood up over the a gap b gap at times but when he dropped
04:11in coverage
04:11and let's say there was a screen pass or a underneath throw the way he would put his foot
04:17into the ground and then explode for six to ten yards in terms of uh gaining ground and and exploding
04:26on
04:26contact on the tackle i think that's an athleticism at that middle backer or in that in-between backer
04:33position that the giants have wanted and needed for quite some time no knock on bobby okara k or
04:38anything but it just seemed like towards the end of his tenure here there were times where he'd get
04:44caught up or be a step behind when it came to a deeper crossing route turning and running or playing
04:49you know that that kind of that like that mike backer having to play up in that cover to tampa
04:55look in that deep third per per se i think arville reese can play coverage you can move him around
05:00do different things you can blitz him if you want and i think that's a he has to be a
05:05can't miss guy
05:06he has to be a guy that steps in and and you pair him up with tremaine edmonds you're not
05:10asking him to
05:11call the defense right away you get a vet for him to learn from and then it's only it's only
05:16up when it
05:17comes to this kid and then cc maunoa um there's a lot of tape on him within playing within that
05:23guard
05:24position as well at miami and you kind of you don't really see that much of a drop off so
05:30maybe the this could be the year that we don't look at the offensive line and be like huh you
05:35know
05:36they're a little bit more of a liability well last year they played pretty well but they're they're more
05:39of a strength than a liability and uh you know i can't wait to see how this that the run
05:44game now i can't
05:45wait to see how they get going now that you've got a guy within that inside that can move bodies
05:51uh when we go to the second round they got their corner in colton hood at 37 and then
05:58they trade you could you know i had a smile on my face paul when they traded up in the
06:02third
06:03for a big bodied wide receiver on the perimeter and that's malachi fields out of notre dame
06:09which out of the two if not both do you see stepping it has the better chance to start
06:15week one um i think hood over fields you know i i you know look rookies it's hard for rookie
06:22you
06:23know draft picks especially mid-round picks as a wide receiver you know it's it's a lot going into
06:27that so look hood um they had him targeted and he was their top player on their board at 37
06:33so that
06:34means going into the second day they had him as the best player that didn't get drafted in the first
06:39round and they did not trade up to get him they got him at 37 you know there were bigger
06:44higher
06:44profile cornerbacks still on the board jermon mccoy who was a teammate of hoods of tennessee
06:50and um avion terrow um from um clemson um you know a lot of people thought they would go higher
06:56now
06:56now um mccoy clearly his knee had became an issue and dropped him in the draft and terrow may be
07:02more
07:02of a slot guy so look the giants say hood was her guy um he's got good size good speed
07:09um not great
07:11ball production in college you know this is the new wave right brandon three schools in three years
07:17right colorado auburn colorado tennessee three schools three years transfer portal so you know
07:24did he make his mark in college well he was on the go every year um but you know he's
07:29got good size
07:30what is he 5 11 almost six foot tall um good good um size you know um i know um
07:36you you would talk to
07:37him be interesting to say what you said about his ball tracking skills which is interesting so you
07:42know hood is not a guy that i was like oh they're definitely going to take hood you know i
07:45don't know
07:45what's what's on their board at this point um i knew they liked reese a lot and didn't think he
07:50would get to them i knew they liked maui noga but thought maybe they would take a receiver at 10
07:55but both tyson jordan and carnell tate carnell tate were gone so you know um but they had maui
08:01noga they said is the fifth pick in the draft what we know now is they had mendoza number one
08:05they had reese number two they had i believe jeremiah love number three i'm not sure who's number
08:13four and maui noga was number five okay and neither tyson nor tate was number four i believe that they
08:21would not have taken him at number five so um you know when you look at it the giants got
08:27non-quarterbacks non-mendoza they got two of their top five guys with the top 10 picks picks which is
08:33pretty good and then they got hood which was their um you know best remaining player not drafted in the
08:39first round they didn't have to trade up and they got him at 37. zan and competes with greg newsome
08:45for
08:46that cb2 job right away i think you got to look at it and look at him as a starter
08:51especially because
08:52you know you got a denar wilson as a defensive coordinator whose specialty is secondary so he's
08:58going to make sure this kid is coached up and you know it's weird because i said you know i
09:02was talking
09:03to people like oh colton hood out of tennessee but like you said due to the portal it's like you
09:08got to
09:08put a comma right behind and these kids go to all these different schools within the four years of the
09:13eligibility that they have but i think that kind of works out in his favor because now you go to
09:19three different defenses and you got to pick up three different playbooks now you come into an nfl
09:24playbook and instead of kind of being locked into maybe having a a certain technique or a way you're
09:31going to play a certain set or formation having that locked in for two or three years you've had to
09:37switch up each year and now you come in a new year and you got to pick up a brand
09:41new playbook
09:41so that could work out for him plus we know when i was speaking with him and this will air
09:46on nbc on
09:47thursday uh for the giants i learned that he played center field growing up and i asked him like how
09:55does
09:55that make you a better corner and he said if you can track a baseball you can track a football
10:02and if
10:03there's one thing if you look at some of the games where teams are able to come back on the
10:08giants
10:09whether they do threw the football down the field and it was either completed or it would be some
10:14sort of spot penalty when it came to pass interference because guys weren't getting their
10:18head back to look back for the football just that alone having that confidence to turn your head and
10:25kind of track the football that's going to give you the ability to make a play on it on a
10:29wide receiver
10:30who maybe doesn't go up for it to catch it but maybe you get your head around faster it's an
10:34underthrown ball and instead of that being a pass interference and it being a big play for the
10:40offense you could turn that ball over that could be an interception so i like everything he had to
10:45say plus i like the celebration where he puts the hood up and then he goes thumbs down absolutely love
10:50it but i think and when he was drafted i did a quick ia for instant analysis for for the
10:56post
10:57on uh what i thought of the pick and i said that you know i hope that in the fourth
11:01round the giants
11:02get some sort of playmaker on the perimeter for jackson fields well they did i mean jackson jackson
11:09dart they did even better they traded up for a guy that they not only liked they absolutely love
11:15joe shane said that malachi fields was a coveted pick they targeted this guy he had a phenomenal
11:21senior bowl week uh he's 17 and a half yards per catch he's a go-getter i talked to him
11:27about hey
11:28you you're going to be compared to a plaxico burris and amani tumor because of your size
11:33but what's one and the way you go get the football but what's one thing about your game that you
11:38feel
11:38as though no one is giving you credit for and he says the way he can run ross the way
11:43he gets in and
11:43out of his breaks so that's going to be something that i feel like is going to keep an eye
11:48out on
11:48because you've got your speed guys that you brought in and the darnell moonies and calvin austins and
11:54darius slayton's there you're going to wait for uh malik neighbors to get healthy so he can be
11:59dynamic again but if jackson dart now has what eli has and that's a guy on the edge that can
12:07play
12:07above the rim and eat with the eagles and all he has to do he doesn't have to be as
12:12accurate as he is
12:13for darius slayton or a speed receiver i can just throw that football up and he attacks the football
12:19with his catch radius i'm not saying a kid goes to the pro bowl or anything but you need that
12:25in
12:26the receiving room and i'm glad the giants have gotten back to getting bigger receivers who can
12:30go up and get the football ball well look i mean and he was asked about this malachi malachi that
12:37you
12:38know the giants not only took you but you know we went into this draft thinking what the giants are
12:43going to trade down at some point and try to get more picks right they don't have a third round
12:47pick
12:47they're going to try to get more picks so what do they do they trade their fourth round pick and
12:52their fifth round pick this year and their fourth round pick next year um to trade up into the third
12:59round at number 74 to take this receiver from notre dame so that tells you number one there was a
13:05big
13:06drop off in their minds after this player that look if we don't get up and get him now um
13:11and and and
13:12there's some reports that the dolphins wanted him badly so if we don't get this player now that we're
13:18going to get shut out of the receiver market because we're not going to be able to get one in
13:21the fourth round so that's what they felt and also that they traded everyone you know everyone says
13:27right now that the 2027 draft is going to be much more talent rich than the 2026 draft was so
13:35you
13:35traded a fourth round pick in a better draft this for next year you know that might not make a
13:42lot of
13:42sense now the giants think they might get a fourth round pick as a compensatory pick for losing you
13:47know in the equation and for losing wandale robinson so that would be kind of a net net there'd be
13:52no
13:52you know be good to have two fourth round picks but you have to give up something to get something
13:57so right this was like the last receiver that they felt they could get so they had to go up
14:01and get
14:02him um it's interesting he mentioned his route running because that is not considered a big
14:06strength of his his size what it was he a four six one guy nothing special right you know now
14:12now
14:13john harbour said yeah that's time speed versus playing speed versus miles per hour you know he
14:19had something some kind of stat about 22 miles per hour that's fine we'll see he's not a burner
14:24he's also six four 218 pounds so he's a big dude um you know the vast majority of his catches
14:31were um red zone or end zone catches so that's really good that's a dimension they don't have
14:38with isaiah likely who's a guy a tight end they brought in for that kind of stuff maybe this is
14:42that um we'll see you know is he going to start i wouldn't think so there's an adjustment you know
14:47he played you know his numbers were better at university of virginia they were at notre dame
14:51and you can certainly blame jeremiah love for that notre dame wanted to run the ball um so yeah he's
14:57an interesting guy you know i'll be interesting you stood next to him what did you sense of him
15:00physically well you know i saw him in the building you know we saw him the other day but
15:04you're a tall receiver when you stood next to him what was your sense of him and his size he's
15:09taller
15:09than me uh you know i go back and forth with imani tumor all the time and we stand back
15:14to back and
15:14we're like who's taller who's taller i'm taller than imani tumor and then i just had to concede
15:20that malachi fields is taller than me and we went to rival high school so that hurts even more to
15:27say
15:27that but yeah i i believe that he won the speed the 40 at the combine made him drop and
15:34then also
15:35the production drop from when he went from uva to 55 plus catches and back-to-back seasons to 36
15:42and
15:43you mentioned uh jeremiah love they also had you darian price two running backs going the first round
15:48as a wide receiver there's nothing you can do about that but just catch those play action deep balls and
15:55you're the guy in the red zone that that ball is going to but like you said the giants need
15:59that
15:59they need it like you can see them picking guys who their skill set is what can is going to
16:06help a
16:07need and things that we saw them struggle with throughout the course of you know the last couple
16:12of losing seasons so now you get a corner that can play the football down the field now you get
16:17a
16:18wide receiver that can help you within the red zone and be a guy that can catch the ball 2
16:23.7 drop rate
16:24while he was in in college and we know about the way that the giants receiver room has been plagued
16:29with drops throughout the course of the year so malachi field is going to be an interesting guy
16:34for matt nagy to be creative with and maybe have both him and isaiah likely in the slots at time
16:39you're going to be able to mix and match and have a big body guy that can kind of be
16:43that
16:43i mean he says he blocks as well so he could be that hybrid raw receiver tied in uh as
16:49well and then
16:50you know just to move on to that sixth round they had three sixth round picks and i know
16:56one of these names stand out to you uh defensive lineman bobby jamison travis out of auburn
17:03offensive lineman jc davis out of illinois and then linebacker jack kelly out of byu
17:11which of these names kind of stand out to you the most paul and why
17:17i kind of like jack kelly you know i mean he had tremendous production in college tremendous i
17:21mean you know look at his stats what he had 15 sacks or something um you know is that going
17:25to
17:25translate is he going to be an edge rusher for the giants no but here's here's brandon here's what it
17:30is right john halbar's reputation was what he came up through the ranks as a special teams coordinator
17:36right special teams coach jack kelly is going to be a core special teamer on probably punt return
17:44punt cover kick return kick cover that would be my expectation okay he tracks the ball um you know
17:52is he going to be a big play guy in the nfl as a defensive player i have no idea
17:56probably not drafted
17:57in the sixth round you know jesse armstead was drafted in the eighth round and that round doesn't
18:02even exist anymore and jesse armstead as a rookie tore it up on special teams absolutely tore it up and
18:09that earned him playing time on defense so can jack kelly tear it up on special teams you know
18:15john harbaugh loves those kind of guys so you know i and his production was tremendous at byu so maybe
18:21he's got a little something there you know he's not the biggest guy so that will be interesting
18:25the other two picks made sense you know jc davis was a um you know he'll be a guard tackle
18:30uh
18:31john harbaugh said he's got a little growing up to do maybe some maturity issues but he's a big dude
18:36and you know bomby jabison travis um from auburn um what does he do well he stops the run he's
18:43a big
18:44gregarious guy who stops the run you know is he going to be much of a pass rusher i doubt
18:48it so
18:48let's see if he can make the team as a run stopper and go from there you know they need
18:52run stoppers
18:53don't forget he's not the replacement for dexter lawrence that's going to be with a veteran probably
18:58signing in the next few days i spoke to all three of these guys on zoom after they were drafted
19:03for
19:03the giants and bobby jamison travis he expects himself to be the replacement for dexter lawrence
19:10you said paul he took pride in talking about how this is what they drafted me for to stop the
19:17run
19:17he says i don't mind being double team because if i'm double team that means one of those linebackers
19:24behind me can run free and he's like we got a arville reese there's a tremaine edmonds there
19:29i want to keep these guys as clean as possible to allow them to do what they do he said
19:35nothing
19:35about pass rushing doesn't expect to be on the field during passing downs but he reminds me of
19:41like a snacks harrison type type type guy to where it's like you know what you're what you've been
19:47drafted for you know what your role is on this team and he's going to embrace it and when we
19:53talk
19:53about jack kelly i'm glad you said that because this seems like this seems like this was john harbaugh's
19:58pick and he reminds me a lot of michael mcfadden when he came in in 2022 and maybe that's somebody
20:04he's going to be competing with you know michael mcfadden michael mcfadden came in had 36 tackles
20:10two sacks now do i see jack kelly getting that type of production in a rookie year no because there's
20:16arville reese and tremaine edmonds you know michael mcfadden's pathway to the to a starting spot was a
20:22little bit easier than this guy but i'm with you he's now that carter mc carter coughlin carter
20:27mcfadden carter coughlin but better like he's that that he's going to be he's going to be like
20:31that dane belton special teamer for the linebackers that core guy and i i guarantee you that he forces
20:39a fumble or two in an important situation on an important play on on special teams um for this
20:45defense so i was really excited about you know talking to him he had the whole stash says he's uh
20:50you know he's from utah jackson darts from utah they've never met but i'm like you know what's the
20:55first thing you're going to like you know say to jackson and all he's you know it's just going to
20:59be cool to having two guys from utah on the roster um but yeah i mean they rounded out the
21:05draft i think
21:06you could get some value out of uh you know at least two to three out of these guys especially
21:11in their first year now when we come to the pride of a draft paul that's the undrafted free agents
21:18the
21:19eighth round as antonio pierce used to call it is there any undrafted free agent that kind of sticks
21:26out in your mind that's going to be able to compete for a job okay we were just talking about
21:31john
21:31hallbar on special teams right yep um you know they signed a kicker dominic zavada i think is the way
21:37you say from michigan um two years ago he was i think 21 out of 22 on field goals uh
21:42kicked the game
21:43winner against ohio state which means that he probably never has to buy a beer in ann arbor
21:50again in his life right for beating ohio state a year that they win the national championship so
21:56that's tremendous um did not have as good a year i think he was he missed a five or six
22:01or seven field
22:02goals this past year for michigan so that was a little troubling he did not have as good um a
22:06year
22:06in 2020 um you know this past year as he did the year before 2025 and things like that so
22:12um but you
22:13know are there is there a job open a kicker yeah ben sauls who returns he was um eight for
22:18eight last
22:19year in a cameo appearance left hand left hander left footer right um he's still around for now and
22:25they signed jason saunders from the dolphins did not kick at all last year with a hip injury but you
22:31know had been a good kicker in the league for several years so i think it is a complete open
22:36competition and um it would not surprise me if um this guy dominic savata if he comes in and looks
22:42really good they may just say you know what we're gonna we're gonna go with the rookie here you know
22:47we'll put him on the practice squad we'll see so i think that is bears watching um knowing that the
22:53giants have had all kinds of kicker problems you know they finally pulled the plug on graham ganoe
22:57after six years and you know a lot of really good kicking and a lot of injuries the last few
23:01years that
23:02just you know made for some ridiculous roster maneuverings during games and before games so
23:08they need to settle on a kicker and um this rookie you know if he shows great form then um
23:14why not him
23:15going into this paul draft all eyes were going to be on what the chemistry was going to be like
23:21between joe shane donna ponte and john harbaugh obviously the dexter lawrence thing said you know
23:28was a bad look on i guess joe shane because you know the agent didn't want to negotiate with them
23:34and then donna ponte and chris mayor weren't able to get a deal done with the dexter lawrence but now
23:40you got a chance to see the draft and how that shaped out but then you also got to see
23:45joe and john
23:46kind of face the media after these picks what did you learn about their chemistry up to this point
23:57now late april well several weeks ago somebody in the building told me that it was amazing that
24:04it seemed like john harbaugh and joe shane had been working together for years rather than just a few
24:08months so that was a good sign that you know these guys are on the same page you know they've
24:14been in
24:14the league for for you know decades these two and they knew of each other but they did not know
24:19each
24:19other i mean they just didn't i mean it's not you know they didn't work for the same team obviously
24:23i mean harbaugh worked for two teams the eagles and the ravens but so their pairs cross and owners
24:28meetings and and scouting things and pro days and those kind of things but um they didn't know each
24:33other so this was you know john harbaugh was hired in mid-january and um joe shane is still on
24:38the job
24:39and so they had to get to work right away together um putting a staff together you know joe shane's
24:43a
24:43part of that you know and helping with those kind of things and then all of a sudden um there's
24:48some
24:48trainer uh issue you know not issues they wanted to change some things with their medical staff they did
24:53that joe shane was on board with that you know getting harbaugh the guys he wanted uh weight
24:57training those kind of things you know there's a lot that goes into this then you have free agency
25:02right and they signed a bunch of guys that harbaugh had with the ravens you know harbaugh was pushing
25:07hard for those guys so they got that stuff done and the draft is the big enchilada right the draft
25:13is
25:13the biggest thing for every team free agency is big the draft is bigger and um you know joe shane
25:18could not come in here and say i'm firing the scouts i you know you can't hire your own scouts
25:22um you know the giant scouts have been you know working on these players for months and months and
25:26months and years really and you can't just say we need a new scouting staff so john everyone was
25:30under the microscope and john harbaugh i know he told me once he said you know what i really like
25:35we didn't do this with the ravens is that i like when joe has all the scouts together at various
25:41times
25:42in the room and they're all talking together about the players not individually and he said i really
25:47like that i like that um communication he really seemed to like the communication between the staff
25:52um the you know coaching staff the head coach the scouts and the front office he really has praised
25:58that you know pretty much from the start um look am i going to judge their whole relationship on how
26:03they looked at the podium for three three days you know after these picks no but um i think it's
26:09hard
26:09to fake a kind of a camaraderie i think they have it it was interesting to see you know when
26:14you have
26:14two guys sitting right um brandon next to each other who's going to be the alpha right who's going
26:19to be the one who the questions asked maybe it's a jump ball question is john harbaugh going to take
26:25pretty much all the answers is he going to be the one because you know he can answer almost everything
26:30really um it was not that harbaugh answered when he thought it was appropriate to answer joe shane
26:36stepped in it was his there were times where john harbaugh kind of looked over at joe like you want
26:40to
26:41take that one and and joe took it sometimes so i think um their chemistry is good i think their
26:46relationship is good it'll be interesting moving forward what happens joe shane's going into the
26:50last year of his contract i would not be surprised in the least if he's offered a contract extension at
26:56some point here in in the coming weeks um and i think uh this power duo power brain trust will
27:04be
27:04moving forward together so you don't get a sense at all that joe shane will be fired sometime this
27:13week no all right we'll leave no sense at all no no sense at all no all right let's finish
27:19this thing
27:20out final grade for the draft paul to finish this off don't they say it takes three years so can
27:26i do
27:26the 2023 no i'm not going to do that one those are bad grades um i'm not a big post
27:31draft grade guy
27:33but i know everyone likes it so i mean i mean i'm i'm a hard grader i would give it
27:39an a minus or a b
27:41plus um you know just just because um just because because i just don't believe in in giving a's out
27:48or a pluses out you know um is all well i don't like the oh they got the best player
27:53in the draft
27:54thing because every year there's a best player in the draft right no one can agree some people say
27:59jeremiah love is the best player in this draft right years ago when leonard williams was drafted
28:03or when quinan williams was drafted people said oh they are the best player in the draft they were
28:08really good they were not the best player in their drafts will jeremiah love be the best player in
28:13this draft you know what i think the giants think that fernando mendoza probably is the best player
28:17in the draft because they had him number one on their board yeah right a guy they weren't going to
28:21take and wasn't going to fall out of number one so um i think this draft makes makes sense if
28:27you
28:27would ask me right now who is the key to this draft for the giants i would say probably cc
28:36maui noah
28:36okay i think reese is going to be good is he going to be great i don't know but i
28:40think cc maui noah
28:42is he going to be a plug-in 10-year guard is he going to be chris snee who was
28:47drafted in the second
28:48round okay um you know chris snee was not a first round pick he was a second round pick if
28:53you could ask
28:54the giants right now can cc maui noah be chris snee i think they would leap up from their chairs
29:01and say please please yes we'll take that in a heartbeat if he can be chris snee and be jackson
29:08darts security blanket at right guard then that is a great draft because um he was a tackle now he's
29:15a
29:15guard uh they need youth um also another thing reese and maui noah are both 20 years old okay oh
29:22wow
29:22both 20 years old they're two of the youngest players in this draft so um the giants look at
29:28these two 20 year olds and say we have two guys who we can have for five years at least
29:34right
29:34four-year rookie contract and um first you know and a fifth year option so we know without doing a
29:40thing we can have these guys under our control for five years when they'll be 25 years old
29:46um let's check back in five years god willing right brandon and say these no-brainers that they
29:52were re-signed after three years because they're so good then then you have a draft that was really
29:58cooking we can throw out all the mock drafts all the drafts is finally done paul we can look ahead
30:04to
30:04some football but before we do we can do that you actually have a pretty cool nfl insiders event
