00:09The remarks come as senior Russian officials visited Pyongyang for a ceremony
00:13honoring North Korean troops killed while fighting alongside Russian forces in Ukraine.
00:21Both sides said talks focused on deepening military cooperation,
00:25with Moscow saying it is ready to sign a new defense plan covering the period from 2027 to 2031.
00:34The two countries signed a military treaty in 2024,
00:38committing to provide immediate assistance if either is attacked.
00:42Pyongyang has seen supplied missiles, munitions and troops to support Russia's war in Ukraine.
00:48South Korea estimates that the North has deployed around 15,000 soldiers,
00:53with about 6,000 killed or wounded in the conflict.
00:58In return, analysts say Moscow has provided financial aid,
01:02military technology as well as food and energy support to the isolated state.
