The Federal Court has fixed June 30 to deliver its decision in the prosecution's appeal against the acquittal of Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman in his graft case linked to Bersatu's Armada funds.

The court conveyed the decision date to the parties via a letter.

00:16A three-judge panel chaired by Court of Appeal President Justice Abu Bakar Jais is presiding over the final appeal
00:24in the case.
00:25The other judges on the panel are Federal Court Judges Justices Che Maud Ruzima Razali and Colin Lawrence Sequeira.
00:33On June 25 last year, the Court of Appeal acquitted and discharged Syed Sadiq after allowing his appeal to set
00:41aside his conviction and sentence of seven years imprisonment,
00:46two strokes of the cane and a 10 million ringgit fine, originally handed down by the High Court on November
00:529, 2023.
00:53Syed Sadiq was accused of abetting former Armada Assistant Treasurer Rafiq Hakim Razali in the criminal breach of trust of
01:03one million ringgit belonging to Armada on March 6, 2020.
01:07He also faced a separate charge of misappropriating 120,000 ringgit belonging to Armada Bumi Bersatu Enterprise,
01:17and was further charged with two counts of money laundering via transactions of 50,000 ringgit each from his Maybank
01:25Islamic Berhad account into his Amanah Saham Bumi Putera account.
