00:00Dato' Amiga
00:09Come, come, come, you come as well
00:12Come, you speak, you speak
00:14Good afternoon
00:18We just completed our submissions before the Federal Court
00:23We are grateful and thankful to the learner judges of the Federal Court
00:27Gave us a lot of time to make our points, make our submission
00:31And as you know, the judgment has been reserved
00:34It was the advice of the Federal Court that both parties go back
00:37And rethink about their own respective cases
00:40And come back to the court as to see whether any particular direction has been taken
00:44So also I must extend my gratitude to my colleagues and this legal team
00:52Including Dato' Amiga
00:54And I do not forget Dato' Yusof
00:57Yusof, who was an advisor to us
01:01And very, what do you call that, connected with this case as well
01:05And members of my legal team
01:07I'm also grateful to YB for this opportunity
01:11To be able to present his case before both the Court Appeal and the Federal Court
01:17I'll leave it now to YB to address the press
01:20Thank you very much members of the press
01:22I'd like to start by thanking my exceptional legal team
01:28Dato' Yusof for leading
01:29Dato' Amiga, Dato' Yusof who's not with us but with us in spirit
01:34Including the legal team from the High Court
01:37Yeah
01:37Which was led by Sergo Bin
01:39And all the lawyers who came together
01:44Worked tirelessly day in and day out
01:46To fight for justice and to pursue for the truth
01:49Now I can only leave my fate in the hands of Allah SWT
01:54And also in the hands of the court
01:57We've went through this journey
01:59Now for more than 600 days
02:01Close to 700 days
02:02We have never postponed
02:04We've never tried to prolong
02:06In the end, we believe that the truth
02:08While it may take time
02:10Will win
02:11If not today, tomorrow
02:12If not tomorrow, next month
02:13But the truth will end up winning
02:15Terima kasih kepada semua
02:16Kerana setiap bersama
02:17Termasuk dengan rakan-rakan, sahabat-sahabat
02:20Yang datang dari jauh
02:21Thank you very much
02:22InsyaAllah kebenaran akan berjalan
02:24Menang juga
02:24Thank you
02:26There's no decision here
02:30No, not yet
02:30Parties are still to file in
02:33Respective submissions
02:34On a particular point of law
02:35Betul, were you
02:37Sorry
02:37Were you surprised by what the judge said
02:40With the decision
02:41He tell us the prosecution
02:43Whether they want to block the case
02:45Or continue
02:46Was that surprised?
02:48This is something not expected
02:50By members of the legal team
02:52But I think the court also did the right
02:54I think to ask the parties
02:55To go back and reflect
02:56On their positions
02:59As far as the law and the facts
03:00Are concerned on this case
03:02Do you think when they do that
03:03Maybe they feel there's no case here
03:05Do you feel similar?
03:07I would not comment further apart
03:09From saying that this
03:10This is a direction of the court
03:11And we have to go back and reflect
03:13On our respective cases
03:14Maybe how do you feel
03:16When you heard the judge say
03:18Tell them
03:20Do you think they are
03:21I mean to be honest
03:23I do not want to put myself
03:24In the position of the judge
03:25If you may have noticed
03:27I truly respect
03:29The judiciary
03:30Not just as individual judges
03:32But judiciary overall
03:33I mean
03:33There's something which was discussed
03:35Just now about
03:35Specific submissions
03:36Which may
03:37To some extent
03:38Disrepute
03:39The name of some judges
03:40Especially at the appeal court
03:41It really got me thinking
03:43Even when I went through hell
03:46After conviction was placed on me
03:49At the high court
03:50I never once
03:51Disrepute
03:51I never once
03:52Spoke ill
03:53Of the judge
03:54Because in the end
03:55It's not just about individual
03:56But it is a matter of the judiciary
03:58We should be protected
03:59Defended
04:00And that is the last bastion
04:02A wall of defence
04:03For those who are voiceless
04:05And citizens who require
04:06That final recourse
04:08So if anything
04:09I'd like to
04:09Just give respect
04:10To the three judges
04:12And also
04:13Across the judiciary
04:14For letting me
04:16Have my case
04:17For the past 600 days
04:18So I think
04:19There's two weeks
04:20One week for them
04:21One week for you
04:22That's for the filing
04:22The submission
04:23So then
04:24After that
04:25They're just
04:26So what are you doing
04:28In the meantime
04:28Then
04:29What are the season
04:30I look forward
04:32To go back to Moa tomorrow
04:33I have a lot of work to do
04:34And I look forward
04:36To serving my constituency
04:37As always
04:38Alright
04:39Thank you
04:40Thank you
04:40Thank you
04:41All the best
04:42All the best
04:43Thank you
04:44Thank you
04:44Happy some
04:45Happy new year
04:46Thank you
04:47Congratulations
04:47Thank you
04:54I got a
