Taipei authorities are considering stricter regulations for large-scale events after earthquake-like tremors were reported near the Taipei Dome during concerts by Japanese band One OK Rock. Residents said the shaking, estimated at around magnitude 2, was stronger than during performances by Taiwanese pop star A-Mei in 2024. Neighborhood chiefs have petitioned the city government for clearer rules. The Taipei Sports Bureau has also urged the venue to ask organizers to encourage clapping instead of jumping.
