When it looks to good to be true. It often is. And this MicroSD Card is a prime example of it.

The amazon page was riddled with red flags which would've made my weary of it. From the Reviews showing 64GB capacity to free verified purchases. However I always wanted to buy a scam card to see what it really is like. So I did and it was fun.

The tool I used is called F3, however the Medium article I reference has tools for Mac and Windows users too: https://medium.com/@drawn_stories/how-to-find-if-your-thumb-drive-sd-card-is-fake-with-f3-linux-tutorial-f0109bef63ea

On that note, the error you saw was simple the result of me already checking and not checking the storage again. The card arrived working.

00:00Hello and welcome. I got this tablet for $15. It's brilliant, except for the storage.
00:06But since it was $15, I thought it'd be fun to just see what I can get for $15.
00:12And then I saw this. It looked too good to be true, but for $11.99, I'm willing to try
00:20it out.
00:21And here it is. Now, when I do put it in the computer, it does claim to work.
00:30Ish. So I thought I'd try to fix it by formatting it on my desktop.
00:36Then I saw this. 537 isn't the correct number for a 512 gig. It should look like this.
00:46So, one scan later and, as expected, 32 gigabytes of usable storage.
00:55So now, my little buddy is going back to Amazon.
01:00Here we go.
