00:36Emperor Nefarious Ratchet & Rift Apart
00:47Rivet and Kit are the stars of this climactic, relentless, and incredibly thrilling final
00:53showdown against the dastardly Emperor Nefarious. You better be adept at using all of your weapons
00:59and movement abilities if you hope to lay the smackdown on this heavily armed and well-fortified
01:05final boss. This battle takes place in a rather small arena, with projectiles and dimensional
01:11rifts all over the place. Dodging out of harm's way from Nefarious's bombardments while taking pot
01:17shots of your own in tandem with dealing with his troopers all makes this a hectic battle with
01:23nary a break in sight. Stay nimble, stay on the offensive, use the power of teamwork of course,
01:28and swap up those weapons from time to time, and Rivet and Kit should hopefully come out as the victors.
01:36Enough! I will collapse every dimension! This is the part where you lose!
01:42Courtney Gears Ratchet & Clank Up Your Arsenal
01:52This saucy robotic pop star who thrives on an auditory diet of I guess club music really does
01:58have it out for our lombax pal. Heck, even stating that she wants to turn him into a lovely fur
02:04coat.
02:05You look like a nice fur coat. Now this boss battle against Courtney Gears is hard for three main
02:12reasons. Reason one, the boss arena is super duper small, which means little room for error. Reason two,
02:19she is an absolute bullet sponge. Reason three, both her and her clone robots seemingly move just a tad bit
02:26faster than Ratchet, which makes avoiding her all the more challenging. Now on the surface it may not look
02:32like a tough fight, but when all of these elements combine, Ms. Gears is a really robotic doozy to contend
02:38with.
02:46Kurchu Guardian Ratchet & Clank Future Tools of Destruction
02:58What starts out as an intense rail grinding obstacle course as you avoid the robot behemoth's missile
03:05attacks eventually turns into a full on scrap against this device guardian. This dude is a
03:11brute and a massive one at that, with its attacks able to take out large slices of Ratchet's health
03:16if he isn't careful. His missile barrage continues all throughout the battle with various robotic
03:22minions being thrown in for good measure. Now to be fair, it is quite easy to hit this guy with
03:27Ratchet's
03:27various weaponry, but doing so while staying out of harm's way is a whole other story.
03:38Gleamin' Vox Ratchet Deadlocked
03:41You just signed your own death warrant. So we're done then.
03:47Now to be right up front with this one, it is a super duper, super duper short battle if you
03:53are a
03:53dominating pro at this spin-off Ratchet & Clank game. But for most players out there, it's quite tough
03:59defeating this dastardly showman who will go to any lengths necessary for strong ratings for his live
04:05holovision programming. The best word to sum up this short but grueling showdown would be cacophony.
04:12Explosions, projectiles, hordes of goons, and more greet Ratchet as he seeks to defeat Mr. Vox and save the other
04:19heroes and ultimately save the day. Here comes the big guns. Oh no, this could mean disaster for Team
04:28Darkster. Lord Flint Vorcelon, round two. Ratchet and Clank Future, a crack in time.
04:34Do it. Do the war.
04:39Now we are specifically talking about the second bout against this
04:44villain since the first one is kind of a cakewalk. However, round two is no joke at all.
04:49This mostly comes down to the fact that Vorcelon can turn invisible with no easily discernable way
04:55to actually track him unless you happen to be able to release the steam valve to make him show up
04:59for
05:00a time. When he's not invisible and stalking you, he's sending out powerful electric attacks that take
05:05up a huge section of the circular chamber battle arena. The goal here is to always keep him in your
05:11crosshairs when visible and then stay on the defensive when he goes invisible in order to not get jump scared
05:17by him.
05:26Giganto Mech, Ratchet and Clank Going Commando.
05:30I'll give you something to laugh about.
05:36Size matters when it comes to this punishing boss battle. And yes, that was indeed a deep cut
05:42Ratchet and Clank pun. You're welcome, I guess. The Thugs for Less leader may be a numbskull,
05:47but he has some serious firepower to use against Ratchet in the form of the Giganto Mech. This really is
05:53a grueling battle of attrition. While you do, of course, have plenty of space to move about,
05:58it's never easy to dodge this mech's lasers, ballistics, and fiery drones. Fleeing yourself
06:04around the place with the fling pads, laying waste to this massive goon with energy turrets,
06:09and using your own weaponry when slash if the opportunity presents itself will all be crucial
06:15to survival here. Oh, and I don't know, maybe don't forget to free Angela? Yeah.
06:19You okay, Clank? Great. Let's go. Hello. Aren't you forgetting someone?
06:28Oops. I meant after we free Angela. Thanks.
06:35Emperor Percival Tachyon, Ratchet and Clank Future Tools of Destruction.
06:40I offer you this one chance. Go home, join your race, or stay and suffer.
06:50The big baddie and final climactic battle isn't a long one, but it sure as heck is a challenging one.
06:56Phase one is almost like a joke phase, since you really only get a couple of hits on this robotic
07:01bloke before he actually sucks you into a dimensional rift and takes you to outer space to duke it out
07:07atop a
07:08pockmarked moon of sorts. Here, the Emperor really takes out all his pent up aggression on you, with
07:14obliterating barrages that can wreck your health bar if you don't stay nimble. It's utterly relentless,
07:20but doable for those that have become adept with Ratchet's arsenal.
07:31Auto Destruct Ratchet and Clank Size Matters
07:34But there are other ways to earn respect.
07:39You actually bought that cheesy story.
07:42Auto Destruct's lust for power and intelligence ultimately leads to his downfall. Surprise,
07:47surprise. But not until he tries his darndest to foil Ratchet and Clank's plans.
07:52This fancy three-part boss battle isn't for the faint of heart, and will test all of your skills
07:57thus far in this game. The challenge here comes from each phase changing things up quite dramatically.
08:03Phase one is all about running away from a larger-than-life auto as he chases you down.
08:07Phase two is a mono-e-mono behemoth battle where Ratchet takes the reins of a giant mech to try
08:13and
08:13defeat a massive Auto skulking around. Finally, phase three sees the pair duke it out in a more
08:19traditional boss arena fight, where Auto's new health bar is as large as its hubris. Best of luck,
08:25you'll most certainly need it in this final showdown.
08:35Chairman Drek, Ratchet and Clank
08:44The penultimate boss battle on this list is none other than Chairman Drek from the OG 2002 Ratchet
08:50and Clank game. It seems Drek's evil intentions know no bounds, as all he seeks is loads of cash,
08:57all while polluting any worlds that he can get his grubby mitts on. The battle here against Drek is uber
09:02tough, since it combines elements of platforming, grappling, and rail grinding, alongside dealing
09:08with a short countdown timer that Drek puts into play in the final portion of the battle.
09:13There's always something to watch out for during this hectic fight, with nary a break in sight for
09:18our Lombax and robot duo.
09:31Dr. Nefarious, Ratchet and Clank, up your arsenal.
09:34You again? You will pay for your insolence, you miserable rodent.
09:41I mean, is it really a surprise that the hardest fight in the entirety of the Ratchet and Clank series
09:46just so happens to be Dr. Nefarious? I mean, after all, he is the big baddie to end all big
09:51baddies
09:51in this long running franchise, at least to some extent, and for good reason. He's as devious and
09:57evil as they come. This lengthy boss battle essentially takes the entire kitchen sink and
10:01forces you to successfully use everything you've learned in the game up until this very point,
10:06which is a good sign of a boss battle. After getting hoodwinked in the first phase of this punishing
10:11battle of attrition, Ratchet and Clank find themselves fighting off hordes of nefarious
10:16minions, battling one versus one with heavy firepower, utilizing spacecrafts to pummel Dr.
10:22Nefarious's hulking mech, and heck, even driving around the battlefield to get to the next point
10:27of contention. Poor Lawrence, all he wants to do is just rock out, but Nefarious keeps putting the
