00:00We got a log jam here in the AL West, Craig, taking a look at the Rangers, Athletics, Mariners,
00:05Angels, and the Houston Astros. And we talked about who's hot, who's not. Well, certainly not.
00:08The Houston Astros, only 10 wins in last place, but it's not as bad. It's one thing, Craig,
00:13that we just talked about the NL East. And if you're the Phillies or the Mets, oh my goodness,
00:16like we're 10 games back. That's not the case. The Astros are terrible at 10 and 18, but Craig,
00:22under five games out of first place in the month of April here, Mariners, Rangers, Athletics,
00:27their lead the way. And of course, the first two teams that we just listed there,
00:30the Mariners and the Rangers, probably the class of this division right now. But can you see
00:34maybe the A's being a little pesky the rest of the summer here or no?
00:38Not really. I think it's a two team race probably at best here with Seattle and Texas. I think,
00:45you know, Houston to me is not a team that's going to be fighting for this. So I still think
00:50those two
00:51at the top are the ones. And I would just forget about LA. I would forget about the A's and
00:56I
00:56definitely would forget about Houston. I mean, Houston still has this pricing based on 2019 or
01:02something, Donnie. Like, I don't get it. Like, they're just, they're not a good team. I mean,
01:05what else is there to say? And again, I understand and everyone should understand that when you,
01:13your ace who started opening day, Hunter Brown doesn't pitch, and then the guy who is supposed
01:18to be your second starter who you signed to a pretty big contract isn't pitching, what do you
01:22think the results are going to be? Are you going to rely on guys who are pushing 38 years old,
01:2639 years old? I mean, that's just the position that the Astros are in right now. And it's not a
01:30good
01:30one. Craig, I want to make a little proposition for you at this point right now. The Los Angeles
01:34Angels on Polymarket right now, no contract to win this division. And by the way, you take a look at
01:40the standings right now, two and a half games back, a hundred dollar investment on the no for the
01:45Angels. We'll net you, Craig, 90 cents. How about, can I interest you in getting 90 cents out of this
01:51transaction here? Yeah, maybe so. I mean, I'd be more interested in buying it on the Angels and
01:56thinking that they could finish ahead of the other two teams. That to me is something that I can see
02:00happening this year. By the way, about three cents here on that contract, Craig. A hundred dollar
02:05investment pays back 385. Come on, that's, again, that's if your phone doesn't ring where Trout's
02:10coming to the Philadelphia Phillies. That could take a hit there if that happens. By the way,
02:13let me ask you this too. Soriano's been really good. The Angels have always misfired on rebuilding
02:18that team. If they don't think they have that team and Soriano's been absolutely filthy,
02:22where's he wind up, Craig? Could he be out of here? You're asking me? You think I'm going to try?
02:26I can't answer any questions regarding the Angels. I have no idea what they're doing on a day-to-day
02:31basis. You would think so. I know you're going to be picking up that phone. Look, probably the Angels
02:35will end up giving them like 300 million. That would be my guess. Sight unseen. That probably would be my
02:40guess. Artie Moreno. Yeah, put him on the billboards around there. Big
02:43billboard. Imagine it out there on the West Coast at this point. Let's take a look at those MVP odds.
02:48Here we go, Craig. We just talked about the Astros in last place and what they're going to do.
02:53Well, take a look at the odds market right now. Oh, of course there's Aaron Judge there with nine
02:57home runs. Jordan Alvarez, plus 260. Leeds Major League Baseball. He's tied with 11 bombs here.
03:03You're not going to get those extracurriculars, though, saying, you know what? Boy, if they're playing
03:06meaningful baseball in the month of September, that's going to help him out. Bobby Wood Jr.,
03:10all right, he's sitting around 280. No home runs. Somebody should be able to climb up and
03:15try to take this. No? Or is it just going to be Aaron Judge once again here, Craig?
03:19Yeah, my favorite one of all the prediction markets that we're going to talk about here
03:23today. This is, to me, I mean, look, nothing is easy, and it's sports, okay? So anybody who says
03:28that? But you know who's going to finish runner-up to Aaron Judge in the MVP, who's got this best
03:34count? It is Jose Ramirez! Come on! 20 to 1, you know Jose is going to be top three. He
03:41is every
03:41year. He never wins, but he's going to be there in the end. So that would be the easiest one
03:46for me
03:47to just take and slide him up there. I don't, unfortunately, I mean, right now, I don't think
03:51anybody's beating Judge, but Donnie, what am I missing here? Jose Ramirez has a top five finish,
03:55top three finish every year in the MVP. How is he so low? I don't get it.
04:00Four and a half cents. He's currently trading out to the yes. A hundred dollar investment on him
04:04with Polymark. He would pay back $411 here. You got Mike Trout, you got Cal Rowley, got Corey Seager,
04:09Julio Rodriguez, by the way, at 1% at this point. It is interesting where it's just like, we're
04:13waiting for Judge to really take off. He's got nine home runs already. Probably on pace well over
04:17to get to that 50 number if he gets hot when the warmer weather starts coming out in the Bronx.
04:21But it's interesting where you're not trying to win it over Judge, as Craig just pointed out.
04:25Get me somebody that's going to steadily move up and go, oh, well, his contract can't be four
04:29and a half percent for Ramirez when he's leading the league, let's just say in RBIs and or batting
04:33average as we go.
