00:00The Scoot Henderson breakout this postseason has been fun.
00:07But at what cost is perhaps what Blazer fans were thinking
00:13as he and Dylan Harper were going back and forth a little bit
00:20in that third quarter specifically.
00:23And Scoot, with a tough bucket, one-on-one, right on Harper,
00:30started giving it to him a little bit.
00:32Refs came in with a technical foul.
00:34One of those like, you'd rather they didn't, but it's always going to be a tech.
00:39The problem was, the problem was, Dylan Harper went absolutely wild
00:49after that technical foul and bucket from Scoot Henderson.
00:54Scoot, by the way, I'm not even entirely sure he scored again the rest of the game.
01:00Dylan Harper finished with 27 points, 10 rebounds, a game-best plus 25
01:08in 30 minutes off the bench in a game where his team was trailing by 15 points.
01:18Steph Castle was struggling a little bit in the third quarter.
01:22Obviously, he had an overall great game.
01:24So, Fox wasn't doing his part.
01:30Harper brought this team back and not only gave them a commanding 2-1 lead
01:37because we expect Wemby to be back for game number four,
01:41but kind of an announcement that this Spurs core isn't just Wemby and a bunch of guys.
01:49Steph Castle might be an all-star next season, and Dylan Harper won't be far behind him, J.Y.
01:56I thought this was as good of it as it could have gone for the San Antonio Spurs against Portland.
02:04Yeah, obviously, Wemby being in concussion protocol, it also kind of relaxes you a little bit
02:10because when you get to a point, Kevin, and it's 1-1 and you're on the road,
02:14you just want to split, right? You just want to split.
02:18You want to get back at least level 2-2 so that you have two of the last three games
02:22at home.
02:23And you're absolutely right, and it's more than just Wemby.
02:28And we've talked about the depth of this team, and you saw it on full display.
02:34Now, we can talk about how great Scoot Henderson was in the first half,
02:38but still Kevin, 18 minutes, 41 seconds, 3 of 9 from the floor, 1 of 4 from 3.
02:42Yikes. Go to the other side, Dylan Harper, second half, 22 points, 7 of 9, 3 out of 3,
02:496 rebounds, 2 assists, a steal, and a block. Oh, my goodness.
02:53So, when you have this coming off the bench, and you have Steph Castle,
02:57who was absolutely fantastic in his game, giving you 14 points right there,
03:01the Spurs score 61 points in the second half, and these two have 36 of them.
03:08So, that's almost more than Portland did their entire team in the second half.
03:14And if you take out Drew Holiday, Kevin, I think they were like 11 for, I think, 35 from the
03:22floor.
03:23Drew Holiday, I mean, Kamara wasn't great, 1 of 4 from the floor.
03:27Avicii wasn't that good.
03:29Klingon didn't really do much.
03:30So, to me, you know, it's more about what everyone else did in the Spurs,
03:35I'm sorry, in the Blazers, besides Scoot.
03:39But now, if you are San Antonio, you play chess.
03:47You've got enough guys that can score that you find a matchup,
03:52and you find a guy that's going.
03:54And obviously, Kevin, you let him cook.
03:56I mean, we haven't got the fact that Luke Cornett gave you a double-double as I'd start it.
04:00So, to me, it's the performance that makes San Antonio be like,
04:04uh-oh, when Wemby comes back, they still have so many other parts
04:10that if Wemby is off, they can get it from other guys.
