00:00Just Boston-Philly, look, truly my biggest takeaway is Jason Tatum in three games
00:08is not just averaging 23, 10, and 8, but he's averaging 38 minutes a game.
00:17This isn't the best Jason Tatum series we have ever seen.
00:22It is a series that I think Boston fans will remember forever.
00:30He will remember forever because, Coach, he's really not supposed to be out there.
00:36You know what I mean?
00:37Like, this was never supposed to be a thing.
00:39He battled all the way back to make it possible, and he battled back so hard.
00:45Most shows aren't even talking about this the way that you and I are right now
00:49because he's been playing 30-plus minutes, 35-plus minutes since March.
00:54But I'm still just incredibly, incredibly impressed with what we've seen from Jason Tatum.
01:00I mean, he looks like Boston's best player again.
01:03He does.
01:04I don't know if Jalen Brown likes to hear that, but, hey, Kevin, it's the truth.
01:09He is Boston's best player.
01:11He's his most dynamic player.
01:12And let's be honest, you know, the only concern you have for Jason Tatum early on in the series
01:17is he started out 3 of 15 from 3.
01:20Came back 5 of 9 last night, big shot after big shot.
01:23But to me, Kevin, the biggest number for me is 7, 9, and 7.
01:28That's the assist.
01:29So he's giving you 2 out of 3 games, over 50% from the floor.
01:33The other game he just gave you 42.1, but he had 5 fouls, only 19 points.
01:40But the assist, and I think that's the key thing.
01:44It's his ability to make smart basketball decisions.
01:50It's funny.
01:51I had Tim Capstra, who does a great job with the Nets, on my coaching sets with JY a couple
01:57of days ago.
01:58We kind of got into that Boston.
01:59We thought about game 2, that the ball kind of stuck a little bit, right?
02:04Like they weren't moving the ball as much.
02:06You saw that more out of Boston last night, and you saw it particularly out of Jason Tatum.
02:11If he continues to shoot at a 50% clip and it's going to give you 6, 7, 8 assists
02:18a game,
02:20Kevin, look out below.
02:21As long as they knock down threes at a decent rate and they shot 43% last night,
02:27they're going to be the best team in the East because he's playing like, honestly,
02:33Kevin, as wild as it sounds, Jason Tatum before the injury last year.
02:38Yeah, I think he may not be exactly there just yet, but look, it's really, really impressive.
02:47And I think the difference will be for this run, however long this Boston run is,
02:55Jalen Brown will be the leading scorer.
02:57And I think that allows Tatum to have less pressure, facilitate more,
03:02and it allows Jalen Brown to stay comfortable in that role.
03:05For Philly, we wait and see if Joel Embiid could potentially make an appearance in this series.
03:10Jalen Brown will be the leading scorer in this series.
