BioWare says the reason we haven’t seen much of Mass Effect 5 is simple: they’re too busy working on it.

According to Mike Gamble, there’s “not a lot of time for tease.”

But after 5+ years of silence, fans are starting to worry—is this normal development… or a bad sign?

00:00Mass Effect devs have been practically radio silent for over five years because there's not
00:03a lot of time for teas. And while I like for developers to just do their cooking in peace,
00:09this is kind of worrying. Because Bioware hasn't shown almost nothing since announcing the game
00:15back in 2020. So essentially the radio silence could mean one of two things. They learn from
00:20past mistakes and they are taking their time to get it right. Or development has been restarted,
00:25reworked or struggling and they're not ready to show anything yet. And to be honest, five plus
00:30years of near silence isn't normal anymore. Even studios that are heads down usually show small
00:36updates, Dell blogs, short teasers, stuff like that. So the fact that Bioware hasn't done that
00:42suggests something else is going on behind the scenes. So to conclude, I don't think this is a
00:47disaster yet, but it's definitely not a great sign either.
