00:00G'day from the Bureau, with your weekend forecast around the
00:04country for April 25th and 26th. And as we've been talking
00:08about all week, high pressure will continue to dominate the
00:11weather out here in the Tasman Sea. That's going to extend the
00:14ridge right across much of eastern and also central
00:17Australia. That's going to bring warm, dry and sunny
00:20conditions for many southern, central and inland areas. Though
00:24that onshore flow is going to bring showers for much of
00:26northeast New South Wales and southeast Queensland. And
00:30some of those showers even might get up to the central coast of
00:32Queensland as well. While also we'll be watching a bit of an
00:35upper low move into southern parts of South Australia, they
00:39could bring some showers and isolated thunderstorms there,
00:41while fine, warm and sunny weather for the rest of the
00:44country through Tasmania, Victoria, inland New South Wales and
00:47Queensland, inland northern South Australia, NT and much of
00:51WA. So let's have a closer look at your Anzac Day forecast
00:55around the country. Firstly, in Queensland, we're going to have
00:59those coastal showers impacting some of the dawn services in
01:02southeast Queensland. So watch out for those if you are heading
01:05out to those services. But for the rest of the state, we are
01:08looking at dry, warm and sunny conditions, maybe a few morning
01:11showers as well up around the north tropical coast. Temperatures
01:14though, during the afternoons looking to get up into the high
01:1720s to low 30s for coastal areas and inland areas as well, even
01:22we'll only get into 31 degrees in far western Queensland out
01:25towards Birdsville. Saturday morning looking at around 16 or 17
01:30degrees for those dawn services and a couple of showers in
01:33Brisbane, and then warming up to a showery 25 degrees during the
01:38day. Moving down into New South Wales, similar story in
01:42northeast New South Wales, we're going to see these widespread
01:44showers impacting much of northern New South Wales, down to
01:49around the Newcastle area, and even just the chance of a shower
01:52getting into around the Sydney area as well. But from Wollongong
01:55south and well inland, we're going to see a dry, warm and sunny
01:59day for much of the state of New South Wales away from those
02:03showers in the north. For dawn services, pretty chilly through
02:07so southeastern parts of New South Wales and around the ACT,
02:11getting down to those low single figures. So rug up if you're
02:13heading out to those services. Warmer though in Sydney with a
02:16possible shower or two about the coast 15 to start the day and 25
02:20during the afternoon. Dawn services pretty chilly around
02:23Canberra, but it will be dry starting off around four, but
02:26warming up into the low 20s 23 degrees there in the afternoon.
02:30Victoria continuing a trend of warm, dry and sunny weather for
02:34much of the state. Once again, temperatures in the mid to
02:37high 20s almost statewide. Cool morning heading out for those
02:41dawn services but for this time of year pretty mild really, we're
02:44looking at low teens like 14 to start the day in Melbourne, low
02:48teens in the south, maybe single figures for our inland areas, but
02:51a dry, warm and sunny day on the way. Melbourne for dawn
02:54services around 14 degrees warming up to 25 degrees with lots
02:58of sunshine. Moving down into Tasmania again, a mild warm and
03:04dry day on the way and pretty mild morning as well for those
03:07attending dawn services right across the state. You can see 14
03:1110 degrees as we wake up in Hobart. Sometimes that's more of a
03:14daytime high rather than minimum temperature and warming up to a
03:17warm 24 degrees. But notice much of the state looking at
03:20temperatures in the low to mid 20s, though towards the end of
03:24the day, we could see some of those showers approach western
03:26parts of Tasmania. Moving up into South Australia and the day
03:31will start off dry and mild across much of the state. Look at
03:34those minimum temperatures. We're looking in the low to mid
03:37teens to start the day for those dawn services and then warming
03:40up into the high 20s to near 30 degrees. But notice here that
03:44trough is going to move into coastal areas later in the day
03:47and maybe into central parts of the state into the afternoon and
03:51overnight hours. That's going to bring some showers and possible
03:53storms firstly around the Eyre Peninsula and west coast and then
03:56moving up into central areas on Saturday night. So watch out for
04:00that. But generally, most areas will have a dry, warm and sunny
04:03day after a mild start. Dawn services around Adelaide 17 degrees,
04:08warming up to a sunny 28 degrees. Cloud will increase during the
04:11day and then possible showers at night. Moving over into Western
04:16Australia, we can see similar conditions there with a dry, warm
04:21and mostly sunny day for much of the state. A little bit cooler
04:24though in the southwest to start the day for those attending dawn
04:27services there dropping down to around 10 degrees in the morning
04:30at Perth. But then those temperatures getting up into the low to
04:33mid 20s, maybe high 20s as well through inland areas and then
04:37getting into the low 30s through northern parts of WA. As I said,
04:41Perth starting at 10 and then warming up to a sunny 25 degrees
04:44on Saturday. Moving up into the Northern Territory, dry, warm and
04:49sunny weather continues there. A sure sign that we're probably in the
04:52very start of the dry season with the only wet weather possible,
04:56just some of those showers through the eastern parts of the
04:59top end. But Cape York, the Gulf and the Kimberley looking dry,
05:03warm and sunny. Pretty warm if you're heading out to dawn
05:05services, low 20s around the top end, and even low teens that
05:09will be cooler for those in the south. Darwin looking at 23 to
05:13start the day and then 34 and partly cloudy. Then moving into
05:18Sunday across the country, that dominating high down here in the
05:22south in the Tasman Sea will continue to impact our weather
05:25weather right around the country. That means similar conditions
05:27again on Sunday for many. Brisbane looking at showers and 25
05:31degrees. Sydney, partly cloudy, 24. Partly cloudy and 23 in
05:35Canberra. Similar in Hobart, 23 and partly cloudy. Another warm sunny
05:40one in Melbourne, 27. 25 degrees and some morning showers
05:44clearing in Adelaide. Perth, I should say, looking at 27. But may see
05:49some cloud increasing later in the day as well. And you can see
05:51that low and rain offshore that may impact southwest WA as we move
05:56into Monday. And then warm, dry and sunny across our tropical
05:59north, 34 and sunny in Darwin. So for those heading out and about
