00:00This time, on Highway Through Hell...
00:05...over the edge...
00:08...with Team MSA...
00:11How are we gonna get this out of the way?
00:13...extreme grades...
00:14It's just too steep.
00:16...and uphill battle...
00:17...and a log jam...
00:20This is gonna be a big pull.
00:23...of trouble...
00:24Hey! Roll it over!
00:27Oh, oh, oh!
00:31Throats just wet.
00:34In British Columbia's Fraser Valley...
00:37It's unbelievable how our weather's been.
00:42...unseasonably warm temperatures...
00:45...wet, that's it, no snow.
00:47...have brought relentless rain to the region.
00:52The heavy, heavy rain...
00:55...lots of things can happen.
00:57A break in the weather...
00:59...as MSA towing's 50-ton lion...
01:03...rolling out...
01:05...we're just headed to Hope here...
01:07...with the youngest bandweight brother...
01:10...Gurkirit...
01:10...or Gurk.
01:12There was a mudslide...
01:14...we weren't really able to get a lot of information...
01:17...unfortunately...
01:18...so...
01:19...we're kind of going in a little bit in line to this.
01:22Team MSA hoped for the best...
01:24...but we're prepared for the worst.
01:27Following behind...
01:27...in the 35-ton Moose...
01:30...definitely need two trucks for this one.
01:33...older brother...
01:34...Gersimrin...
01:35...or Sim...
01:36...it's always fun when you get a big wreck.
01:39...the brothers head 45 minutes northeast...
01:44...where Daybreak...
01:48...reveals...
01:50Holy crap!
01:54Washed right out.
01:56Poor tanker.
01:57Already on scene...
01:59...their father and MSA towing owner...
02:02...Karpal.
02:03Tanker looks like it's more than 200 feet...
02:05...yeah, quite far down.
02:07It's kind of sketchy.
02:08...and eldest son...
02:10...Gersharn.
02:11A large volume of rain washed out the edge of the cliff here.
02:15I think it was about 20 feet from the edge...
02:18...that washed away.
02:21It's gonna be a badass wreck.
02:26Well, that's pretty interesting.
02:33It's hella steep.
02:36It's kind of scary.
02:37Lots of loose ground.
02:41Pretty sketchy.
02:44It's a straight drop down.
02:46Like, it's no joke.
02:48If you slip and you fall...
02:50...you're going for hell of a ride.
02:54Oh, wow.
02:54Oh, wow.
02:55Good luck.
02:55Oh, wow.
02:58Oh, wow.
03:00Oh, wow.
03:07Yeah, oh, wow.
03:12Oh, wow.
03:25Oh, wow.
03:25Wow.
03:25Team MSA face their biggest recovery yet.
03:30It's a fresh landslide.
03:32We're just hoping that there's not another mudslide
03:34while we're in the line of fire here.
03:37I say we should just hike down there and take a look.
03:43The mud walls are very slippery.
03:48There's loose rocks and dirt.
03:52It's very dangerous.
03:56And a closer look.
03:58How are we going to get this out of the way?
04:00Reveals a concrete lock block has come down with the tanker.
04:05It weighs about 4,500 pounds and it needs to be moved
04:09before we can begin our recovery.
04:13Let us try to winch it.
04:16Hey, go this way.
04:20Having to hike up and down this really steep hill
04:23is very dangerous.
04:25Grab that hook and throw it down a little bit.
04:28All it takes is just for one of your feet to give out
04:32and you could be tumbling down the hill.
04:34Just trying to feed this through here.
04:38I'm worried about the boys.
04:40I want to be safe there and don't get hurt going down there.
04:45Gherk and Sim secure the block with a strap.
04:49Good?
04:50Yeah.
04:52While up top, they improvise using a loader on site.
04:57Yeah, that's good.
04:58As an anchor.
05:00We are redirecting the line.
05:02So when we're pulling the tanker up and over,
05:04there's no block sitting in the way.
05:05Start tightening your line.
05:12Yeah, keep going, keep going, keep going.
05:15With 4,500 pounds on the line.
05:19That's coming.
05:21There's no room for error.
05:25We have to be very careful when we are pulling this up.
05:30If it gets off the cable, it's going to be trouble.
05:36Below the precarious wreck lies an active rail line
05:42carrying millions of dollars of freight.
05:45This is a very risky move.
05:48Stop.
05:49So, Kapal.
05:51Put the chain around.
05:52So that way the sling won't slide out.
05:55Takes an extra precaution.
05:58It will be safer to get it out.
06:03Bingo.
06:05Get her.
06:12Keep going, it's almost there.
06:18Secured with a chain.
06:20The heavy lock block.
06:22That's a big fish.
06:25Reaches the top.
06:28That's good.
06:31But bringing up the loaded tanker is a much bigger challenge.
06:37This is not easy.
06:39It's more scary job than anything else.
06:42We'll go one truck, both lines to the kingpin.
06:45And then we'll do one truck, we'll go to the axle.
06:49We are really going to need to come up with a solid game plan.
06:53Or we could potentially end up halfway down this cliff ourselves.
07:02With lines from the 50 ton, and lines from the 35 ton, they'll drag the tanker up the 70 degree
07:14slope.
07:17Don't get too close to the edge there.
07:20But to reach the tanker 200 feet down.
07:27That's it.
07:28They'll meet their wreckers as close as possible to the edge of the unstable bank.
07:35We pretty much just have to throw our lines down to clear the edge of the cliff.
07:40That's probably good there, yo.
07:42Pass, pass, pass, pass.
07:43But far away enough so that our wreckers and equipment stays safe and secure.
07:49With Gurk securing the 50 tons lines,
07:56Sim repels down to help rake lines from the 35 ton.
08:05You good?
08:06Yeah.
08:08It doesn't really get much steeper than this.
08:13I'm gonna rig to the, to the rear axle.
08:17It would be the worst situation if this tanker ends up on the tracks down below.
08:24Now the tanker.
08:26Tighten up your lines now.
08:29Faces an uphill battle.
08:34Of rough terrain.
08:39You're good.
08:40You guys are good.
08:42All eyes are on the fragile tanker.
08:47Holding upwards of 12,000 gallons of liquid.
08:52We don't want to puncture the wall of the tanker, letting it leak.
08:58But just as the tanker starts inching its way up.
09:03Dad.
09:05Hold on, hold on, hold on.
09:07There's a big, big rock.
09:11If we keep pulling, the tank will bust and we don't want to take that risk.
09:19We have to call someone here, get it emptied.
09:22Team MSA's recovery is on pause.
09:27Pumped out of there.
09:29Until they can get a pump truck on site.
09:32When it's empty, it will be better than we can see what we can do.
09:37It's going to take a long time.
09:45I'm taking winter winter land up there.
09:48500 kilometers north.
09:50The snow has covered everything here.
09:53Outside Quenelle, BC.
09:57Ah, the good old Canadian winter.
10:01An auto 50 ton wrecker heads to a call.
10:06Hopefully he's out there.
10:08With owner operator, Rob Barber.
10:12The weather didn't bother me so much when I was younger.
10:14As we get older, it's a little tougher to take.
10:18But today's job.
10:21It gets just really steep and windy.
10:24Is in new territory.
10:26Some people call it the mini coke.
10:29The road washed out four years ago and this is the first winter that it's been reopened.
10:36The newly rebuilt West Fraser Road saves drivers 40 minutes off the alternate route.
10:50But with hairpin turns and a 13% grade, it's a tough climb to the top.
11:01It's got a full load of hay.
11:03Big gooseneck trailer.
11:06Halfway up the steep hill.
11:10He seems happy to see us.
11:12Rob pulls up to a spun out farmer.
11:16Hauling 14 tons of hay.
11:21He's sort of stuck there until the snow melts or someone shows up to help pull him up the hill.
11:25Is this the worst hill on the road?
11:27Yeah.
11:27Have you ever been?
11:29No, never.
11:30It's the first time I'm going up, eh?
11:32I kind of feel bad for him.
11:34He's just trying to get feed to his animals.
11:37Hey!
11:40With 43,000 pounds on the hook, Rob begins the climb.
11:46Pretty tough pulling.
11:50Being this is the first winter, we're not too sure how much of a pull it'll be to go up
11:55the hill.
12:01So we'll see how it works out.
12:05How's that, guys?
12:07South of Quesnel.
12:10More on steady, but it's not.
12:12On West Fraser Road.
12:14It's just too steep.
12:16Rob is attempting the 13% incline.
12:20I'm not forgiving.
12:22With a 43,000 pound load on the hook.
12:26Should be more of a summer hill than a winter hill.
12:28It's a lot of weight.
12:30It's a pickup truck with a big hay trailer.
12:34But after 10 long minutes.
12:39That's good.
12:41The red 50-ton pulls them in to the summit.
12:48You go down, around the corner, and then I'll just chase you.
12:53Okay.
12:54That's good.
12:55But Rob decides the job isn't over yet.
12:59It's quite steep, the other side.
13:01As a safety, I'm gonna watch his truck.
13:10To get back down, the farmer must brave a 12% grade descent.
13:22But navigating downhill.
13:25Just big drops on both sides.
13:29Comes with new dangers.
13:32Gotta be 200 feet on either side.
13:34You wouldn't want to blow through the barricades.
13:37Pretty impressive, though.
13:38It's doing well.
13:40You just gotta get to that corner.
13:42And then it's flat.
13:44The farmer and his 14 tons of hay.
13:49That's the end of it.
13:51Make it to the bottom.
13:54The animals will be all fed and he'll be home in no time.
13:58That was tight.
14:00So you got it done, right?
14:02Hopefully next time, if he comes through the load of hay, he'll go the other way.
14:05Okay. Have a good day.
14:06Thank you so much. Take care.
14:07Hope I don't see you again.
14:10Rob's first tow-up on Quesnel's own Mini Coke is a win.
14:17What motivates me is keeping our customers happy.
14:32Six hours south on the edge of the Fraser Valley.
14:36We will see.
14:39MSA's mudslide tanker rescue.
14:42Slide it up.
14:44Is well into the night.
14:47We had to pump up that oil for like five, six hours.
14:51Yeah, that's it.
14:53With 12,000 gallons offloaded.
14:56Pumps disconnected.
14:58All good.
14:59And lines already in place.
15:02Good to go.
15:04They restart the recovery.
15:06Kind of excited and nervous at the same time.
15:10All right, let's rock and roll.
15:15Go, Gursimran.
15:19But working in the dark.
15:24Cast my headlock.
15:26Is risky.
15:28That definitely makes our job harder.
15:30We need to be able to see what we're doing.
15:34Yeah, go, Gursim.
15:36Keep pulling.
15:37Positioned at the edge.
15:39Yeah, yeah, you're good.
15:40Keep going.
15:41Of a muddy, unstable cliff.
15:47Oh, no, hold on.
15:49Hold on, hold on, hold on.
15:53Kerpal spots.
15:54See us catching onto the log.
15:57An obstacle lurking below.
15:59This big tree stump, which is not let us go up the hill.
16:03Why don't we pull the log out?
16:06Okay, let's try it.
16:08Instead of muscling through it, the safest thing to do is to first remove the stump and then continue on
16:15with the recovery.
16:17Put the chain onto the stump there and put the other cable on.
16:21Repurposing one of the 35 tons lines.
16:25Yeah, right there, like that.
16:27Now pull the log.
16:33They unearthed.
16:35You got it.
16:36A massive 10-foot stump.
16:40That's a big group, man.
16:42Holy...
16:47Pull, pull, pull, pull, pull, pull, pull.
16:54Never more.
16:59Okay, put it down on the ground now.
17:03With the log out of the way.
17:05Okay, go.
17:07They wind up for the main event.
17:10Go ahead.
17:15Just gonna go a little bit faster.
17:17Keep going, keep going, keep going.
17:24Yeah, go, Kerchan.
17:35That's it.
17:36That's it.
17:37Stop now.
17:38Stop now.
17:43To crest the bank, MSA needs a new strategy.
17:48Sim will pull the moose forward and then he'll hold the wrecked trailer in place.
17:56And that'll allow me to move my wrecker forward.
18:02Pose!
18:07The tanker is almost up the cliff now.
18:10Cover!
18:11So he doesn't want to break the cable.
18:17Go, go, go, go.
18:18It's coming.
18:19If it's slid down the hill, then we will be screwed.
18:26Keep going, guys. Keep going.
18:28Given the sheer size of the tanker...
18:30Go, go, boom up high.
18:32All the way.
18:33We need a lot more lift and reach to be able to pull this tanker up and over the embankment.
18:41But as the 40-foot tanker...
18:44Just a second.
18:45...makes it halfway over.
18:47Hold on. Stop it.
18:49Hold on. Stop.
18:51Hold it. Hold it. Hold it.
18:55Hold on. Stop it.
18:58On the edge of the Fraser Valley...
19:01Hold it. Hold it. Hold it.
19:04...MSA's tanker recovery...
19:07Okay, let's do this. Hold on.
19:11...teagers over a cliff.
19:14Let's hook second lines up.
19:16This is a tricky move. The stakes are pretty high.
19:19Look at that. It's right against the thing.
19:22The trailer's axles are caught on the edge.
19:27That is in there pretty bad.
19:29We just don't know how the ground's going to react, so that's definitely a big concern right now.
19:36Okay, we'll lift it up with the excavator.
19:39To stop the trailer from digging in further...
19:43Bang on. Perfect.
19:46...Karpal recruits the excavator.
19:50Let's go there.
19:53We are going to use the excavator to lift the back end up while we are pulling.
19:58Try that.
20:00Slowly.
20:01Kirk, get out of there.
20:04Everyone clears the area.
20:06Yeah.
20:08...as the wreckers and excavator...
20:14...work in concert to make it barrel roll.
20:19...work in concert to make it barrel roll.
20:23Go boom down. Go boom down.
20:27Perfect. Perfect.
20:30Let's bang on.
20:32That's it.
20:3415 hours since their arrival...
20:38You can go down.
20:39The tanker...
20:41...is back on top.
20:43I am so relieved that the tanker is finally up on flat solid ground.
20:50Now we just gotta upright it.
20:53Okay.
20:54A quick re-rig...
20:55We're trying to go.
20:58...and the tanker...
21:04...is back on its wheels.
21:06That's it.
21:06Done deal.
21:09Yeah, that was a success.
21:11We had some tough moments, but we got the job done.
21:15Close.
21:16Up, up, up!
21:18MSA's first mudslide recovery...
21:21It was a little bit tougher, but we did it.
21:24...is in the bag.
21:26I'm proud of my sons because they work hard, and the next time we have to do something like this,
21:32we know what to do.
21:33I've done some pretty crazy recoveries.
21:35Probably one of the craziest recoveries we've done.
21:38Everybody on the team today learned a lot, and we're ready for the next one.
21:44It's been a long day, let's go home.
21:45Okay.
21:46Alright, man.
21:48It's definitely a milestone for Team MSA.
22:02I wonder what happened there.
22:04250 kilometers east.
22:07Apparently a truck went over.
22:09In British Columbia's southern interior.
22:17I hope he's okay.
22:20En route, a reliable towing 35-ton...
22:24You never know what's going to happen, right?
22:26...with a new face, heavy operator Bob Potts.
22:32We just, you know, get up there and take a boot and see how everything is, and go from there.
22:39I am almost 62.
22:41I started towing in 1979, and it's in my blood, and I've never stopped.
22:48We want to get this done before nightfall.
22:51Bob's been in the industry for quite some time.
22:53And he's a hard worker, not afraid to get his hands dirty.
22:58Following Bob's lead, in a second 35-ton...
23:02That's where I live.
23:04Where those rocks come down, we'll be just driving past my house.
23:09Reliable's newest operator...
23:13Kalen Weldring.
23:15Been working for Reliable for five months now, and enjoying every moment of it.
23:20I let Seed tow trucks around and thought, that could be fun.
23:26Okay, we're going to have fun going up this mountain.
23:31Today's job...
23:32Oh, joy. First logging road drive.
23:36...will take them four kilometers up a remote logging road.
23:41Big potholes, and big ruts, and...
23:46Cliffside, of course.
23:50Oh, this is wild.
23:53A little bit nerve-wracking, driving on those logging roads.
23:57Climbing above the snow line.
24:01Wow.
24:07You know, that doesn't look good.
24:10All I know is about this logging truck was about 100 feet down.
24:15I did not know that he was fully loaded.
24:20Can I go home now?
24:24That's a bit crazy, man.
24:26That's wild.
24:29That's a long ways down.
24:31It's 75% grade.
24:34It's a nightmare.
24:36Pick up sticks.
24:37It's going to be a challenge.
24:39It's going to be a challenge.
24:41That's a big wreck.
24:46There's a logging truck that flipped this morning.
24:48In southern BC...
24:51It's in there good, eh?
24:52Team Reliables, Bob and Kalen, face a logging B train.
24:58Still got logs on there, too.
25:01...100 feet down the bank.
25:03Oh, my God.
25:05How are we going to get this one up?
25:10The logging B train was rounding the corner
25:14when the rear trailer slid off the shoulder.
25:21Pulling the entire truck down with it.
25:26He's lucky to be alive.
25:28The owner has arrived and takes in the scene.
25:32Just glad the driver's safe.
25:34That's really all that matters.
25:35Trucks are replaceable.
25:38But to run lines to the wreck...
25:43No falling!
25:46Kalen must go down there himself.
25:50Climbing that hill up and down.
25:52Not easy as I thought.
25:55There you go.
25:58My plan is to separate the truck from the trailer.
26:02And pull up the truck.
26:04Hell yeah!
26:05All good?
26:07Good!
26:12With lines from both records,
26:15they'll separate the unit
26:18and pull the tractor up the bank.
26:23It's snowing now.
26:25Okay, let's see what's going to happen here.
26:30Start pulling.
26:31Watch me.
26:36Keep pulling!
26:42Looking good!
26:44Looking good!
26:46Thanks, you guys.
26:49Free of the trailers.
26:51Bob's next move is getting the 25,000 pound load up the slope.
26:57It's all rocks, stumps, boulders.
27:01Not nice.
27:04Keep pulling!
27:06When you almost get it up on top,
27:08well, that is the hardest part.
27:12Because it's the steepest.
27:17The 75% grade.
27:21Nope.
27:23Pushes Bob's record to its limit.
27:26Push!
27:30Whoa!
27:32Whoa!
27:32Whoa!
27:32Whoa!
27:37Oh, boy.
27:41Chain broke?
27:43Chain broke?
27:43Yeah?
27:44Chain is as strong as its weakest link.
27:46So I guess I had a weak link.
27:48Can't believe it.
27:49We almost had it up here.
27:53That kind of sucks.
27:56But with night approaching.
28:00We're going to have to come back.
28:03Bob puts the job on hold.
28:06When she gets dark, it's a whole different game.
28:10Disappointed.
28:12I'm feeling very good today.
28:14No tow truck driver likes to get defeated,
28:16but tomorrow we're going to have more iron.
28:18We're going to get her done.
28:21Not fun.
28:36The next morning.
28:39I'm prepared for the second round.
28:42Bob heads back to the scene.
28:44I was getting really frustrated yesterday.
28:47Yeah, it was a swing and a miss yesterday,
28:49but it's going to be a home run.
28:52Following behind.
28:54It's a pretty cool truck.
28:56In his 50-ton tri-drive heavy metal.
29:00They're having some troubles.
29:03Reliable's lead heavy operator, Andy Culla.
29:07So we're going up today to help him out.
29:10We're going to try to get the truck up,
29:12and then we'll see how the trailers come up.
29:16Holy.
29:19Andy arrives.
29:22At the sight of yesterday's failed attempt.
29:30First look at the wreck.
29:32There's a lot of logs in the way of the trailer.
29:35And the truck's a long ways down.
29:40Already on scene.
29:42He made it.
29:43Is Kalen with a 35-ton.
29:46I am excited to come back on day two.
29:49I try to grab those bottom two and drag them.
29:52Yeah.
29:53Kalen starts on log removal.
29:58While Andy and Bob.
30:00You want both of us on that?
30:02Focus on the tractor.
30:04We're going to rig my truck to the front of the truck first.
30:09This guy's a freaking mountain goat.
30:14I need a pin on a...
30:18Whoa, that was good.
30:20Basically, we're doing the same way,
30:22but we're going to have the 50-ton up top.
30:25Already got it hooked up?
30:30There we go.
30:36Keep pulling.
30:42There we go.
30:46But as they near the steepest section...
30:54Where Bob and Kalen lost the tractor...
30:59I'm hoping it's going to land.
31:06Okay, hold on.
31:11We should almost get a catch line on the front end.
31:14In case we have failure again.
31:16Yeah, okay.
31:18We want to get the second cable on to act as a catch cable.
31:23A catch line from heavy metal...
31:29...is hooked to the front axle.
31:32Okay, I feel safer.
31:34But Andy...
31:36Yeah, chained around the axle.
31:39Also wants to rig for the next move...
31:43By having Bob hooked to the rear...
31:46With his 35-ton...
31:49Okay, tighten it!
31:50So we can slide it like a slingshot...
31:53Up sideways...
31:55So it could sit on the rope.
31:56Okay.
32:01Both wreckers now on the tractor.
32:06Andy and Bob...
32:08Go for broke.
32:13I don't care if I'm here till midnight, man.
32:16I'm doing it!
32:20Boom up!
32:29It's coming up perfect!
32:35Look at that!
32:37Got it on the road!
32:39Woo-hoo!
32:41And on, brother!
32:43Andy...
32:43He knows his stuff.
32:48The tractor is finally out of the way.
32:52The trailers are gonna be the hardest part.
32:54But the trailers still need to be cleared.
32:59The amount of logs could cause a few extra challenges.
33:03Kind of jammed everything together there.
33:07I think this is gonna be a big pull.
33:15It's getting colder.
33:17At the doorstep to the Rocky Mountains...
33:22Get your keys out.
33:26I'm just gonna go get my gloves, okay?
33:29It's training day.
33:30Do you have more gloves?
33:31For Jamie Davis's daughter, Alexis.
33:35I don't, I just got mine.
33:36See what's in the truck there.
33:37I'm switching right into teacher mode.
33:40He's starting her out in LR 19.
33:44Okay.
33:45You good to go?
33:46Yeah.
33:47You've gotta be trained and you've gotta take baby steps
33:51before you get into this in a big way.
33:55Just don't drive too fast.
33:57I'm on the speed line.
33:59I just got my driver's license three months ago.
34:02And now I'm time.
34:04Today is Alexis's first time in the driver's seat.
34:08For a young girl to be driving a ton and a half truck
34:11with a plow on the front.
34:13She's acquiring skills that a lot of kids her age
34:16wouldn't even understand.
34:20TK over speeding up.
34:2290.
34:24He can't fire me, right?
34:26That's probably the best part of working with him.
34:31Just gonna hang a left down that way.
34:34They arrive.
34:36And then back up to the front of that car.
34:38At her first job.
34:40I want to stand back.
34:42All I need to do here is supervise.
34:44I'm taking it easy.
34:46You know, I have my head down.
34:47I'm just trying to learn.
34:49Suck it in.
34:53That don't sound right.
34:54No.
34:55No?
34:56Okay, let's go take it out on the road.
35:00I'm driving out of the driveway so we can test it on the road
35:03to see if it's just the snow or if it's just not working.
35:07Pulling onto the pavement.
35:10It's clear the truck's rear axles aren't cooperating.
35:14Okay, park.
35:16You have to dolly it.
35:17Sometimes you get to a job and the wheels are bent or the
35:20transmission's locked up.
35:21There's all kinds of times when you would need to put the dollies
35:25on the vehicle in order to make the tow.
35:27I'm going to show you a trick.
35:29See this?
35:30Lift one hand like this.
35:32See?
35:34And that's what you do.
35:36I'm having a great time working with my father right now.
35:41So I put two spots out.
35:44As her dad, it's important for me to be there to teach her what
35:49could happen so that she gets it.
35:51Now the hard part comes.
35:52Hard part?
35:53Because now you're lifting up the whole car.
35:56Okay, take that and run with it.
35:58Get a run into it.
35:59You throw your whole body into it like hockey.
36:01You did it.
36:02See?
36:03She's handling it like a pro.
36:04Her first dolly tow.
36:07This is my first time towing something on dollies.
36:10Will be a six-kilometer drive.
36:13Okay, let's go.
36:14Back to the yard.
36:21You can just drive nice and easy.
36:39425 kilometers southwest.
36:42Logs in there like acres.
36:44Team Reliable sizes up.
36:47B-train trailers.
36:49100 feet down the bank.
36:51I think this is going to be a big pull.
36:53These trailers are not going to be easy to come out because
36:57the logs are everywhere and everywhere.
37:03Early yesterday.
37:06The Lumber B-train.
37:14Rolled a hundred feet down a steep embankment.
37:23Yeah, that one and then we'll be good, I think.
37:26Now...
37:26Kalen moves the last of the logs blocking the pole.
37:34There we go.
37:36Everything's loose.
37:37We're going to break the trailers to bring them up both together.
37:43Good.
37:44Kick.
37:45With Bob's 35-ton on the front.
37:48Where do you want it?
37:51Around the frame behind that crossmember.
37:54Andy's 50-ton hooks to the middle.
37:59Alright.
38:01Start pulling.
38:18It's binding, eh?
38:20But now they're pulling.
38:23As the logs are doing it.
38:25Through a log jam.
38:29The logs are everywhere.
38:31Binding up in the wheels, the frame.
38:35Holy.
38:38Something's going to hold it and then you break a cable.
38:41Hey!
38:42Hey, Bob!
38:43Rolling over!
38:46Whoa!
38:48They're still working, Ollie.
38:51Four kilometers up a logging road.
38:54Hey!
38:55Hey, Bob!
38:57Team Reliable is in a tug of war.
39:01Rolling over!
39:03Whoa!
39:04With the final pieces...
39:07Come in!
39:09...of a B-train recovery.
39:15As we're bringing it up, some of the logs are getting a little tangled in.
39:19But Andy's big 50-ton.
39:24Wow.
39:26And Bob's 35-ton.
39:32Power through the obstacles.
39:35We're gonna get her done.
39:36I ain't gonna get defeated twice.
39:48Finally, the trailers.
39:55Yay!
39:56Break free.
40:02Okay, hold on.
40:04Let's take this and go low.
40:10A line from Andy's heavy is re-rigged...
40:16Okay.
40:17...to the rear trailer.
40:21Oh, pull!
40:29There we go.
40:32And the two-day job...
40:38Okay, stop.
40:40...comes to a close.
40:43That's how it's supposed to go.
40:46I feel great.
40:47Thank you, Andy.
40:48Good job.
40:50It's a victory for the industry vet.
40:53Whew!
40:54I defeated you, though.
40:58...and newest operator.
41:00I learned quite a bit.
41:03That should work.
41:04My message to my employees is that, you know, recognize when you have that challenge that you might need some
41:09help.
41:10Don't be afraid to ask for help.
41:15Definitely a win for Team Reliable.
41:18Everybody's happy at the end of the day.
41:20It's a good day.
41:26Good job.
41:30To the Northeast.
41:33Alexis and her first toe on dollies.
41:37Come on back.
41:38Okay.
41:39Make it to the yard.
41:42This job went well.
41:43Definitely feeling like I'm getting the hang of it more.
41:45I had a great time with my father today.
41:47Keep going.
41:48Come on.
41:50She's sucking everything up like a sponge.
41:53Perfect.
41:55It's kind of an amazing thing.
41:57Here's this tiny little girl just getting into it and doing it.
42:00See, she just did that like a pro.
42:02I was the same.
42:03At 16 years old, I was driving my dad's truck.
42:06It makes me pretty happy.
42:07Okay. None.
42:09That's good.
42:10I had a kind of a tear in my eye when I...
42:15Here's your, uh...
42:17Here's your end on the end.
42:18Okay?
42:20I got, I think, $50 from that.
42:23Let's go and have a coffee.
42:25Alright.
42:26Alexis is working in the trucks, going out on jobs.
42:30She's just hounding me day and night to help her figure things out and do training.
42:35And, you know, she's doing a pretty damn good job.
42:42Next time on Highway Through Hell.
42:47Crash.
42:48That's not good.
42:49And burn.
42:50I gotta put it out.
42:51Reliable.
42:52Takes a hit.
42:53Accident.
42:54Dark bounce.
42:55MSA.
42:56Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!
42:58Inches.
42:58Hold it.
42:59From disaster.
43:00You get to see how tight space this is.
43:03And Jamie.
43:04Wipe out.
43:06Heads off road.
43:07I feel like I'm gonna wipe out already.
43:10Whoa.
43:28We'll see you next time.
43:29Let's see the next one.
43:29We'll see you soon.
43:31Coming to the next video.
43:31We'll be back.
43:33If you guys decide to make your day better, we'll be right back out.
43:34Go away.
43:34Let's go.
43:37Bye.
43:41You're right.
