CHEEKY GORILLA PICKS HIS NOSE IN INCREDIBLE CLOSE ENCOUNTER WITH PIX AND VID By Shuk Yee Tsang A cheeky gorilla has been caught on camera casually picking its nose and licking his fingers clean. The hilarious moment was filmed by Nick Kleer, 38 from South Africa, during a visit to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. In the clip, the gorilla picks its nose, creating a surprisingly relatable and funny moment from one of the world’s most powerful animals. Nick, who has spent 16 years working as a professional wildlife guide, captured the footage while tracking mountain gorillas in Uganda. Despite the humorous moment, Nick emphasised the deeper connection felt when spending time with gorillas in the wild. He said: “These animals are fully wild and free, living in a carefully managed system where tourism supports the surrounding communities. “It’s a remarkable model where the gorillas themselves effectively drive conservation funding and local benefit.” “Being with them is something out of this world. It’s absolutely extraordinary. “It’s not like being with any other animal… the way they look at you, the sense of presence you feel around them. “There are moments where you don’t take photos or videos you just sit and take it in. “For this particular moment, I was actually sitting in the stream myself, waist-deep in the water, waiting for them to come down. "It wasn’t an ideal spot for me, but I chose it carefully so I wouldn’t be in their way. "I gave them full choice on either side of the stream so they could drink or cross without feeling disturbed. "I sat there, quite uncomfortable in a deeper section with slippery rocks, and just waited. "Eventually, they came down to the water and I was incredibly fortunate to witness this moment." END
