The clip, shared by Gao, shows a cruise ship engulfed in flames near Komodo Island, Indonesia. ''I was traveling on Komodo Island, Indonesia, when this fire occurred at sea. Later, tourists rescued from that cruise ship contacted me. They said they had purchased a six-day, five-night live-aboard package. There were 14 tourists, 6 diving guides, and crew members on board, totaling about 30 people. In Komodo Island, the engine room suddenly caught fire, reportedly due to a ruptured fuel line. No one told them what was happening. All their luggage, equipment, passports, and cash were lost. The crew immediately threw their diving gear into the sea and jumped ship to safety. The tourists were left on board, bewildered and helpless. Fortunately, nearby cruise ships came to their rescue, and ultimately, no one was injured. When the tourists returned to their respective countries, they received neither an apology nor any compensation or refund for their paid travel expenses. Therefore, I hope everyone will take precautions when traveling in the future,'' Gao told WooGlobe. It’s a wild reminder to always be prepared when setting sail.
