00:00Iranian State TV on Thursday aired what it said was video of Iran's navy seizing vessels in the
00:07Strait of Hormuz. The video showed masked men in a small boat approaching a large vessel and boarding
00:14it, holding weapons. It comes as Iran fired on three ships in the Strait of Hormuz and seized
00:22two of them on Wednesday, intensifying its assault on shipping in the key waterway.
00:27The attacks came a day after U.S. President Donald Trump extended a ceasefire while maintaining an
00:34American blockade of Iranian ports. Iranian media said the paramilitary Revolutionary Guard was
00:41bringing the two ships to Iran, marking a further escalation, though the White House said the
00:47seizures didn't violate ceasefire terms. The standoff between the U.S. and Iran has effectively
00:54choked off nearly all exports through the Strait, where 20% of the world's traded oil passes
01:00in peacetime, with no end in sight.
