00:00Let me first begin by saying thank you.
00:03Thank you for your patience that you've shown in a personal and private matter for
00:10me and obviously everybody involved.
00:12I know that that's not easy for you and I respect that and I appreciate your efforts
00:18in doing so.
00:19I understand I could have addressed you guys sooner, but it was important to me to have
00:24a conversation with the players, which I did yesterday, very candidly.
00:28As we began our offseason program, which everyone is excited to be a part of.
00:34Stacey had mentioned the players availability and it was never my intention to have them
00:40speak to you or address you before I did and so I asked him to come today and to talk
00:47with
00:48you.
00:51I also don't want to take away from the draft, the weekend of the draft.
00:57This is an important time for us and our organization and the excitement and the joy that those players
01:03are going to have that we bring onto our football team.
01:07They're starting an amazing journey, one that should be celebrated as we welcome them onto
01:13our team.
01:15With that being said, you know, I've had some difficult conversations with people that I
01:21care about, with my family, the organization, the coaches, the players, those who have been
01:28positive and productive.
01:30We believe in order to be successful on and off the field, you have to make good decisions.
01:35That includes me.
01:36That starts with me.
01:39We never want our actions to negatively affect the team.
01:43We never want to be the cause of a distraction.
01:47You know, and what I, those are comments and questions that I've answered for the team and
01:51with the team.
01:52We'll keep those private and, you know, to ourselves.
01:57I care deeply about this football team and I'm excited to coach them.
02:01I also know that I'm going to attack each day with humility and focus and what I can promise
02:10you is that the, my family, this organization, the team, the staff, the coaches, everybody,
02:16our fans most importantly, will get the best version of me going forward.
02:20And that's what I know and I'm excited to do that.
02:23Um, but I wanted to, to one, just address this and thank you for your patience in dealing
02:28with the private and personal matter.
