00:45We're in rainy, cold Chicago for the first time on the Highway to Hell Yeah Brother Tour, our first headline
00:50tour.
00:50And, dude, we're going to talk tour. We're going to talk tour van.
00:55And, yeah, this tour has been absolutely crazy for us. The most rewarding thing we've ever done. A ton of
01:00work.
01:00Definitely the best Good Terms tour, that's for sure.
01:02Yeah, definitely pinching myself. I say pinching myself every day, man.
01:07I mean, we've done two years of fantastic opening slots and some cool headline stuff, right?
01:12But first headliner.
01:13To go out and, you know, these people in these cities, some of which we've never been to, they all
01:17know the words.
01:18They're all trying to sing along. Really couldn't be more grateful, man.
01:23And we're playing Chicago proper for the first time, baby.
01:26Oh, yes. Chicago has told us many times. We've played West Chicago only in the past.
01:30And everyone comes up to the merch table.
01:32Although someone did say, like, oh, yeah, if you actually don't play only in this very specific portion, no one
01:36will say Chicago.
01:37But, I don't know. We love you, Chicago, regardless.
01:39And we are not playing West Chicago. We're playing actual Chicago, baby.
01:44I'm Belmont, dude. I'm stoked. I'm stoked.
01:46So when it comes to the front seat and the driving as often as possible, I am in this seat
01:50being no help.
01:51Absolute lead singer syndrome.
01:53Yeah, I'm not doing anything.
01:56Usually, our guitar player, Ivan, who I call our big guitar player, which you'll be able to tell when you
02:02see the band,
02:03you've got to pry him out of the driver's seat. He's a big guy.
02:06He's also a great driver.
02:07He's a great driver. He's done a lot of driving. He's driven a lot of things.
02:11The best, I'd say.
02:11He's the best. So we've got Ivan. When we have him, Gio, with his, I think, Class B CDL, as
02:18he's so stoked that I just said,
02:20Gio will also hop in the driver's seat. Our boy Brendan will hop in the driver's seat.
02:25When we have our boy Nick, our boy Nicky Sticks will hop in the driver's seat.
02:28So there's a little bit of a rotation going on, but Ivan definitely is the captain of the ship for
02:33sure.
02:40Oh, yeah.
02:41Like, am I hurting the whole tour by not, by driving and not like doing productive shit?
02:46But I'm happy to drive.
02:47I've driven many, I've driven a Sprinter for a whole tour before, so I've, I've, I've got the skills now.
02:54Uh, but yeah, normally I'm right back here. I like this spot.
02:58Ivan's sticking up here. Brian is always in the front.

03:01We've got this little inverter that we got from a Love's.
03:03We actually bought, the first one that we bought just, just didn't work.
03:06And we didn't keep the receipt and it's, that's just 50 bucks in the toilet.
03:11But you know what? Such is life.
03:13Um, got these sick crocodile cloth wipes.
03:16Those are, these are the best hand wipes, like heavy duty shit.
03:20Uh, these are a bunch of books that, um, who gave you those? Ivan's mom?
03:24Dude, Ivan's mom gave me those.
03:25This is very nice because my, uh, my house burned down last year.
03:28And I had a big collection of, of, you know, music biographies and whatnot.
03:32And, uh, she knew I had this massive collection.
03:35And at one of her recent shows she gave me all these books, which is very, very, very touching.
03:39Um, and I have nowhere to store them.
03:41That's very safe.
03:42So I have them all up here in the front seat.
03:44Next to my dashboard cookies.
03:45Not to be confused with all the other cookies that we're going to show you later.
03:48Oh yeah, the snack situation is, uh.
03:50This is my small stash of cookies.
03:53Uh, we got, yeah, obviously we've, we've got paper towels.
03:56We got, here's really the real big secret to how Ivan does what he does.
04:00I mean, that's got to be, what, 30, 35, 40 hours of energy in there.
04:04Um, Ivan's been making his way through those.
04:06I should tell them about the Zenichino, right?
04:08Yeah, you should, absolutely.
04:09Okay.
04:10So Ivan has created a drink that's called the Zenichino.
04:13Uh, where he, this is a medium Baja Blast, I believe.
04:17He'll take an extra large.
04:17But, so he'll get an extra large Baja Blast when, while his beat is being fed, um, he
04:24puts a whole extra large Baja Blast, one five hour, extra strength, five hour energy,
04:29and then two Zins, Spearmint Zin, I think.
04:33I mean, I'm not, not judging on the actual flavor, but yeah, and that is the Zenichino.
04:37So, best of luck.
04:40Uh, Ivan is also, um, like a superhero, so maybe just don't ever, anyone, yeah, we personally
04:46don't endorse that at all, but it is what's happening while we're sitting in the passenger
04:50princess seats, that is how we're getting around town.

04:54All right, welcome to MySpace, uh, we got the trash in front of me, uh, we've got this cup
05:02holder that someone else is taking advantage of right now, um, we have so much water.
05:07We try to steal as much water from the venue every night as we can.
05:11I think we actually have too much right now.
05:13Technically, we do pay for this in our hospitality right now.

05:20Uh, but yeah, so, normally it's me sitting here.
05:23I like to be kind of locked in.
05:24I'll strap myself in.
05:26I got my, where's my, okay, got my Bucky's neck pillow, um, I like to like sit here,
05:32lock the fuck in, and just do some work on my laptop.
05:35That is my ideal situation.
05:37Um, we got our road guitar back here.
05:40Actually, many of the songs on our new record that we're making were written on this guitar
05:44by Brian in the front seat while Ivan is driving.
05:48Um, and, cause Ivan has a thing where he writes, he just, when he's driving, that's like the,
05:55I don't know, it's like the showering thing.
05:56Like, you could think of lyrics in the shower.
05:58He thinks of lyrics when he's driving.
06:00So, there's been many songs written with me sitting right here, Brian sitting right
06:04there with the acoustic guitar, and then all of us just, you know, doing, shouting lyrics
06:07back and forth.
06:09Uh, the rest of the van, we have, uh, Brian is sitting in the cuck chair right now, just
06:13this solo, solo chair.
06:15Um, that's kind of a nice extend your legs seat.
06:19This back area is, Ivan's kind of turned into a bunk.
06:23So we've got some, uh, mattress pads that sometimes we'll use, uh, if the, if like a hotel,
06:29uh, a pullout situation is like absolutely brutal.
06:33Uh, but normally this is just kind of like a nice one person can lay down blanket padding.
06:38It's like a quasi bunk.
06:41Um, usually Ivan is either driving or horizontal there, and I don't blame him because it, it rules.
06:49Snack alley.
06:50We were, uh, very blessed to, uh, to travel along the east coast where we, uh, passed through
06:56my mom, Ivan's mom, Ivan's stepmom, uh, Nick Servone's mom, who was filling in for the first,
07:04on drums for the first half of the tour.
07:06Who else?
07:06Somebody, somebody else too.
07:07Oh, and Ivan's aunt.
07:09Uh, it's, it's dwindled down now, but at one point all of these bags were filled,
07:13and we, we've organized them into various different things.
07:15So this is like the savory snack chip type bag.
07:19Got some dots pretzels.
07:21It's a variety of Trader Joe's things.
07:23I am a big fan of these.
07:25Got some beef jerky.
07:26Mostly a lot of like Trader Joe's trail mix type, like mixed nuts, dried cranberry.
07:31That's my jam.
07:32Um, I don't know what everyone else has eaten.
07:35This was definitely full.
07:36The thing about these is that we didn't pick these.
07:38Oh yeah.
07:38Like this isn't us going to the store and getting our favorite things.
07:41We were just gifted all of this, and then people would be like,
07:44Hey, do you want to try these just straight up garlic flavored potato chips?
07:47You want to try these ketchup flavored potato chips?
07:49Just like the craziest things I didn't know existed.
07:52I'll take you through the spread though.
07:53All right, so we got the savory chip bag.
07:55So this is, this is now probably two-thirds empty of what it was.
07:59We've got the, oh, this is the cookie bag.
08:01Just cookies.
08:02Just cookies, just chocolate cookies.
08:03One was full of homemade cookies.
08:04There's so many in here, dude.
08:07Okay, so what do we got here?
08:10Oh, this was, this is the one that I have really, uh, done the most damage on.
08:14This is the nut bag.
08:16Uh, so we got some trail mix that was in here.

08:23I totally fumbled the bag on that.
08:24A bunch of 30 year old men.
08:25Uh, yeah.
08:25Got some various nuts.

08:29I'm going to do this for some reason, but yeah, mostly just random candy.

08:33Is that the healthy snacks that's buried all the way at the bottom?

08:38Yeah, it looks like a dried cranberries and whatnot.

08:41Okay, so this is fruit and then like dried fruit.
08:44Wow, we should really be going into this more.

08:50Um, oh, and I think some protein bars that are left from Nick.
08:53I didn't know about those.
08:54And, yeah, I actually would like one of those as well.
08:57This is the trunk where we keep all the luggage and whatnot.
09:00Very grateful for the transit band.
09:01This stuff can fit all the way to the edge.
09:03Really like that.
09:04Very convenient.
09:05So, we got six grown men with all of our crap in here.
09:09We got the extra bedding for when the pullout sucks.
09:13We got some day bags and stuff we bring into the venue,
09:15so you don't have to bring in the entire suitcase.
09:17We have my cot.
09:18This is the biggest tour hack of all time.
09:21This thing that was like 200 bucks from REI,
09:24which is like kind of expensive,
09:25but I've probably slept in it over 100 nights over the last year.
09:29You bring it in when the pullout sucks,
09:30when you're staying at someone's house and they don't have enough beds,
09:33when you just don't feel like sharing a bed that night.
09:35You can bring in the cot.
09:36I got the eggshell mattress topper kind of thing.
09:40And I sleep on this almost every night,
09:42and it's the same every night, which rocks.
09:44Sleep is super, super important, especially when you're singing,
09:48trying to keep your throat straight.
09:49So, that's what we got back here.
09:51This thing is packed up pretty high,
09:53and I'm very grateful that when I opened it, it didn't all fall on me.
