00:09I walk through shadows, hairless nights
00:14Searching for a flicker of light
00:19My spirit broken, my faith unsure
00:25But in the dark, your voice endured
00:31Through rain and thunder, hearts of stone
00:36Your guiding whisper led me home
00:41In every trial and every test
00:45You showed me love, I felt so blessed
00:50On this road to redemption, I found my call
00:55With every step, I hold you through it all
01:01In the echo of my doubt, you start tall
01:05In your grace, I rise, I never fall
01:10When the world was cold, heaven turned its back
01:15You gave me strength to stay on track
01:20With open arms and a heart so pure
01:25But in the dark, your voice endured
01:32From this road to redemption, I found my call
01:37With every step, I hold you through it all
01:43In the echo of my doubt, you start tall
01:47In your grace, I rise, I never fall
02:02When the world was cold, heaven turned its back
02:06When the world was cold, heaven turned its back
02:07You gave me strength to stay on track
02:13With open arms and a heart so pure
02:15Your endless love, my only cure
02:21Forgiving mistakes, scars remain
02:23But through your love, I'm whole again
02:26An open heart, a brand new start
02:28On this path, I walked apart
02:31On this road to redemption, I found my call
02:35And I found my call
02:37With every step, I hold you through it all
02:40When the world was cold, heaven turned its back
02:43In the echo of my doubt, you start tall
02:46In your grace, I rise, I never fall
02:50In your grace, I rise, I never fall
02:54In your grace, I rise, I never fall
02:56In your grace, I rise, I never fall
03:01Forgiving mistakes, scars remain
03:03But through your love, I'm whole again
03:06An open heart, a brand new start
03:09On this path, I won't depart
03:22Well, good morning, Sarah
03:24Good morning, Pastor
03:25You're here bright and early
03:27Yeah, I'm just really struggling
03:30Ever since I lost my job
03:32I feel like everything's just spinning out of control
03:35And I don't know what to do
03:37Oh, my
03:38You know what?
03:39It seems like it's always dark
03:41Before the light
03:42Trusting God's plan
03:45Okay, thank you, Pastor
04:05Trust in the Lord with all your heart
04:07And lean not on your own understanding
04:10And all your ways submit to Him
04:12And He will make your path straight
04:21You know what to do
04:43Hence, He will make your Pawpide
04:43Please tell me
04:43If you care
04:46Lord, guide me through this.
04:51Sarah?
04:52Yes.
04:52Hey, good to meet you.
04:53Nice to meet you.
04:55I was looking over your paperwork here just a few minutes ago, and I see you have a strong background
04:59in finance.
05:00I do.
05:00Can you tell me? Why should I hire you?
05:02Well, I believe in doing honest work and work that has integrity, and I also believe that God helps those
05:09that help themselves.
05:11I'm no stranger to hard work, and I'm committed to bringing my best to your business.
05:18Okay, well, thank you for stopping by, and I'll give you some consideration.
05:22Okay, thank you.
05:47Hello?
05:50Mm-hmm.
05:53Yes.
05:56Oh, of course. Yes, that would be great. Thank you so much. I'll see you Monday.
06:01Okay, bye-bye.
06:06Good morning, congregation. Today, we're going to talk about how faith can lead us through the toughest times.
06:13And this boy has been through a lot of stuff over the years, and I'm going to tell you one
06:18thing.
06:18I've never been more proud of him when he answered to college to be a minister.
06:21And so here he is, my son, me, Mark Dash.
06:28All right.
06:33All right, good afternoon or good evening, everybody.
06:36Good evening.
06:39Now, I'm going to follow up on something Andy was talking about earlier with the unexpected faith.
06:43Again, I'm sure that if you really want to go back to probably the first true case of unexpected faith
06:52that I can say is recorded anyway,
06:54I mean, I doubt this is the first case, but the first recorded case was probably the day of the
06:59crucifixion.
07:01Because if you think about it, when they put Jesus on the cross after beating him, spitting him, kicking him,
07:07mocking him,
07:08and everything, they put him in between a couple other young men that were being crucified as well.
07:15I mean, a common career criminal right beside him.
07:20You know, he watched Jesus go through the same thing that he was going through,
07:23but he watched Jesus keep a good attitude and actually pray for the people that were doing it to him.
07:29And he just kind of looked over at Jesus and said, I don't know who you are.
07:33I don't know what your name is.
07:34I don't know what to call you, but I want what you have.
07:38And Jesus is like, you will be in paradise with me tonight.
07:41Amen.
07:42And I'm sure when he finally, this young man finally succumbed to his injuries and the crucifixion and things like
07:49that,
07:49the conversation is probably a little bit something like this.
07:52You know, he wakes up and he's standing there at Pearly Gates,
07:55and there's St. Peter and the other gatekeepers, and they're probably like, well, yes, sir, can we help you?
08:03And he's like, well, I want to come in.
08:05Can I come in?
08:06And they're like, well, do you know Torah?
08:08Do you know the doctrines?
08:09Do you know?
08:10No, I don't know any of that.
08:12Do you know the Ten Commandments?
08:13No, don't know them.
08:15Can you just read off a couple Bible verses?
08:17You know, give us something here to work with, man.
08:19And he's just like, you see that guy sitting over there?
08:23He said, I know him, and he knows me.
08:26And he said, I could come here.
08:28Amen.
08:29Yes.
08:30That goes to prove one thing, which I'll probably make a little bit of a joke out of, but it's
08:35the reality.
08:36And it just shows that even your salvation even falls into this category.
08:42It's not what you know, it's who you know.
08:44That's right.
08:46Like I said, that man, that man, I'm sure that was an unexpected faith, because I'm sure he did not
08:52expect up that morning, expecting to be spending the evening better off that he woke up.
08:58That's right.
08:59But like I said, that was the first case that I could honestly say he's recorded of, it's not what
09:04you know, it's who you know, because too many people just fall along the wayside and, you know, they don't
09:13cry out until that time of need.
09:16And that's when they find out, you know, that's where the faith comes in.
09:21You know, did you have the faith?
09:22Did you not have the faith?
09:23I mean, because like I said, it came down to who that young man knew, not what he knew, because
09:32he knew nothing going into that day, probably about Christianity, God, anybody, anything.
09:40And he woke up better off than the people who put him in jail.
09:43When Jesus was, oh, when Jesus was, oh, he woke up, when Jesus was, he washed the sins away, oh,
09:59yeah, thank you, thank you.
10:02Oh, happy, oh, happy day.
10:06Oh, happy, oh, happy day.
10:10Oh, happy day.
10:12Yeah, happy, happy day.
10:14So happy, yeah.
10:16Yeah, peace of mind.
10:19So happy, yeah.
10:20We want some minutes away.
10:23So happy, yeah.
10:42Heart racing, mind beating, why this pain?
10:46But hear the whisper soft like rain in May.
10:49God is great, pulls me through my fray.
10:52God is great, guiding through the storm.
10:56Holding me steady when the world deforms.
10:59Lighting the path where shadows play.
11:03God is great, oh God is great.
11:14Nights of darkness, stumble and fall.
11:18Hands reach out, catch me through it all.
11:21Faith like a beacon in the endless hall.
11:25God is great, answers every call.
11:27God is great, guiding through the storm.
11:31Holding me steady when the world deforms.
11:35Lighting the path where shadows play.
11:38God is great, oh God is great.
11:41God is great.
11:48God is great.
11:56The soul don't know me as cruel embrace.
12:00Feel his strength beneath his grace.
12:04No longer alone in this lonely chase.
12:07God is great, my saving place.
12:09God is great, guiding through the storm.
12:13Holding me steady when the world deforms.
12:17Lighting the path where shadows play.
12:21God is great, oh God is great.
12:24God is great, guiding through the storm.
12:28Holding me steady when the world deforms.
12:31Lighting the path where shadows play.
12:34God is great.
12:36God is great, Oh God is great.
12:40Oh God is great.
12:55Oh God is great.
12:59Through the sword to know me as cruel embrace
13:02Fearless strength beneath His grace
13:05No longer alone in this lonely chase
13:08God is great, my saving place
13:16God is great
13:18God is great
13:20Oh God is great
13:22God is great
13:24Oh God is great
13:25Oh God is great
