00:00You've just seen some pictures of Macintosh.
00:03Now I'd like to show you Macintosh in person.
00:06I'm incredibly pleased to introduce iMac, our consumer product.
00:11And iMac comes from the marriage of the excitement of the internet
00:17with the simplicity of Macintosh.
00:19Hello, I am Macintosh.
00:21It sure is great to get out of that bag.
00:25From the custom that I am to public speaking,
00:29I'd like to share with you a match that I thought of
00:32the first time I made an IBM mainframe.
00:35Never trust a computer you can't wish.
00:39Even though this is a full-blooded Macintosh,
00:41we are targeting this for the number one use
00:45that consumers tell us they want a computer for,
00:47which is to get on the internet simply and fast.
00:52And we are introducing a product today that's
00:54that takes us exactly there.
00:56And that product is called iPod.
00:58iMac, iBook, iPod.
01:01And an internet communicator.
01:03An iPod.
01:05A phone.
01:08Are you getting it?
01:13These are not three separate devices.
01:17This is one device.
01:20What is iPod?
01:22iPod is an MP3 music player, has CD quality music.
01:27But the biggest thing about iPod is it holds a thousand songs.
01:31And we are calling it iPhone.
01:36Well, today we're introducing a third kind of notebook.
01:41It's called the MacBook Air.
01:48Now, and we'd like to show it to you today for the first time.
01:52And we call it the iPad.
02:03So, let me show it to you now.
02:06What is the MacBook Air?
02:10In a sentence, it's the world's thinnest notebook.
02:15This is that Sony product.
02:18Again, one of the best in the field.
02:211.2 inches down to 0.8 inches.
02:25This is the MacBook Air.
02:32This is what it looks like.
02:34Really thin.
02:35It's a half an inch thin.
02:38And it weighs just one and a half pounds.
02:41That is thinner and lighter than any netbook.
02:45And it's got a gorgeous 9.7 inch IPS display.
02:51And as you know, Apple builds the best capacitive multi-touch sensors in the world.
02:56Married to our great display.
02:59It's terrific.
