00:04i would like to present to you some new content with magic the gathering online
00:09now uh this is going to focus on uh going to be in the standard format and also be including
00:17new
00:17content in this case we're talking about teenage mutant ninja turtles limited as part of the
00:23standard format the idea is to find out um what's the best we can use from that and take it

00:30there now i notice here uh of course before you start make sure there's nothing else you can add
00:36to your deck uh whether i'll look for any other opportunities like it says store here

00:49just there's just more options here and i'm not going to buy any i'm not going to buy digital
00:56cards unless they come with physical cards so that's two different things now in terms of mastery let's

01:10what we want to do is we want to max these out uh so we can get some uh core
01:16achievements and core
01:17masteries as well mostly have four out of ten for color mastery white and zero ten for blue
01:23and so on um some of that's going to happen if i'm playing that deck or not but what we're
01:29going to be
01:29doing is the best out of three okay so what i'm going to do is i'm going to play
01:36my white blue standard okay now it's going to be best out of three not not a single
01:43see by default it's three you have to specify arcane arrow list for the win
01:49and i'm going to be doing this i'm going to be putting more than your cards in there and then
01:55trying it again but for the purpose of this where we're streaming on uh facebook so for everybody

02:22so what we're going to do is we're going to play first what we do is we count our mana

02:33that's three and that's one so we're going to go ahead and keep we want to find something that's both
02:38so let's do scry to see what's on the next top deck yes we can let's take that scrying is

02:45because you can see what the next card is and they can push out card that wouldn't be useful
02:51now what we're going to do is we're going to bring this out we're going to play actually both of
02:57those
03:02now the good thing about this is when you read the card it says three colors in the blue you

03:06to draw a card so early in the game oh there we go oh nice momo friendly flyer flyer not

03:31now the problem is we don't want to attack for one one because for one you can block it for
03:35two you can
03:36kill it so if you attack both he's going to kill both off and he'll still have a two two
03:40so we'll
03:41have to do is do no attacks for now and then um what we want actually is probably get more
03:50mana
03:51what we'd like to do is play multiple cards but probably our synergy is to play inspiring overseer
03:59probably because we want to draw cards and then after that what we want to do is play
04:05imperial eagle or we could play inspire overseer oh nice nice so he you can see when you added up
04:14two two and two for power that's six damage potential and so this is going to be difficult because what
04:20we're going to want to do actually if he's going to swing with two that's difficult uh yeah it's kind

04:27difficult um let's just take the four i believe we don't want to be just down to one and then
04:40it'll
04:40take two turns to come back up so that's difficult part of it is the cards that you draw so
04:47that's the

10:49so it's essentially hit for four so it would be the best plan and
10:56this doesn't block flyers yeah um
11:02and i have good cards i just don't have the mana
11:09that's the problem with it that is the problem with it essentially
11:22see if you're not getting mana out it's not like i can choose i want to bring a mana out
11:30i mean i have these are good cards sir angel we have stasis these are good cards but i just
11:37don't have any mana 17 that's 4 8 12 18.

16:35time allows i've got other things i do Dungeons and Dragons online i also do
16:40courses and storytelling so i've got lots
16:44plus i have to take the time to like uh upload and then
16:48all these all these platforms and then check the analytics and all this there's a whole bunch
16:53that goes into it it does it's not just broadcast and that's it and then no it's uploads it's this
16:59it's that so so you have basically have the broadcast time and then also in addition to that
17:08what you have is you also have uh the time in which that you have to uh check things and
17:15make
17:16adjustments just like when you play a best out of three game right same kind of thing
17:21but the good thing is that it's kind of like you you it's the difference between sharpening the
17:27sword and cutting down the tree it's like you need a certain amount of time for for sharpening the
17:33sword why so you can cut down the tree so cutting down the tree for me is basically delivering the
17:39content
17:40but also um making sure it's targeted to the audiences that would most want to watch it so you
17:47see what i'm saying the people most interested or the people should be able to see this the most
17:53which is logical right so
17:57anyway
18:05i'm not sure what happened here entering match but there's nothing going on i'm not sure what that's
18:12all about
18:25let's cancel that because that's just something's broken
18:29with that because this is the entering match it doesn't take all year to do that dude

18:43arcane and airless click play it almost never does that
18:49so what i'm going to do is hopefully you guys enjoy the whether you win lose or draw although you
18:55normally don't draw in this game uh
18:59it's learning from the experience and having fun doing it in the process
19:04you want to learn from from how the cards play and then you want to find out what works best
19:11with
19:11the the uh theme that you're playing and then what and then compare it to what everybody else
19:17playing it's kind of like playing chess right like you make your move and your move is based upon
19:22your opponent's move you understand
19:28so you see what i'm saying
19:32that is the analogy of course so it says entering match but i don't see this happening guys
19:43yeah i'll give it five minutes if nothing happens then uh we'll just have to call it a broadcast
19:51because i mean the music is kind of cool right but the thing is i actually need to be doing
19:58something
19:58not just waiting around and waiting around see patience is one thing but but patience involves
20:05being doing something in the meantime just waiting for yes you're waiting for something to happen
20:12like for something to happen that's inevitable but at the same time you're not staying idle
20:18so it's basically you're doing it's kind of like if you're waiting in line and you're doing something
20:23in the meantime versus doing nothing and waiting it's not productive you see what i'm saying
20:29and that's the analogy to understand it by so when it says entering match i'll wait five minutes
20:36but what i want to check to make sure because i'm pretty sure it's on my internet and uh so
21:05anyway guys well the idea is while we're waiting i want to be giving you value as well and the
21:13value
21:13i'm going to be giving you is think about the content so when we have the content i'm going
21:18to be adding newer stuff in and looking at the synergies also i want to look at the strings
21:25weaknesses of the deck so it doesn't matter what deck i play it's the same principle you see
21:29so when you do things strategically you look at principles okay now you can do that with tactics
21:35too but first we want to look at an overall strategy of the deck itself okay so um
21:43yeah i'll wait a couple more minutes i'm not going to be waiting around too long
21:50now before i was just doing like a one-off like i was just doing like best out of three
21:55and so before i actually went the full three games but in this case i didn't so
22:00now one of the things you can do i'll just give you some supplemental is you can watch other youtubers
22:05besides myself who are probably pros and see what decks they're playing and then compare it to what
22:12i'm playing and you as the as the as the person who's the audience can see what the differences are
22:20this is about having fun playing but also learning where you can uh as a hobby right you want to
22:26get
22:27better at your hobby right it doesn't matter if you play chess golf cards whatever you always want
22:33to improve upon whatever you're doing right so uh not that you're a pro but you know i mean you
22:39want
22:39to learn something and you want to get better at it right so that's the other thing i could suggest
22:46is watch other youtubers that have uh also who have content they talk about different decks such as
22:54uh mainly people who play different decks than me because i play white blue you get a lot of because
23:00mono white is pretty strong as been for the past year or more with flyers and then uh stuff but
23:06part
23:07of it is the luck of the draw what you actually draw so what cards are you drawing and then
23:13are you
23:13getting enough mana coming out and that's that's the things i want to talk to you about is
23:18those are the aspects that you can't really control so like for example i could increase
23:25my odds by reducing some of the creature cards and spells and stuff and having more mana
23:31um that is that's something i might consider but also i think maybe reducing some of those
23:38the thing is you you want more than like you want like an average of three to be effective
23:44so you don't really need four you could have three on on strategic ones right then put then you can
23:50put
23:51other things in in place of it uh so if you have a greater chance of drawing is better than
23:57having
23:58more of it but having a lesser chance ironically because you would think if you have four in a deck
24:03right you would have a greater chance than if you have three but if you don't have the mana coming
24:08out
24:10so let's say for every three cards right out of every three cards let's say you need at least one
24:17of them to be a mana right so um there is a balance you have too much mana you don't
24:24have enough creature
24:25cards and then you can't do it but of course the first things first is that you want to be
24:29able to get
24:30your creature cards out you want to play your abilities your artifacts your spells
24:34all those things out and it takes mana to do that so i think we're at five something i'm going
24:41to call
24:41it actually let me try one more time let me try one more time because i'm not really sure what's
24:47going on if there's too many people on their server or what but let's try again let's find a match
25:00that's out of three standard play oh wait let's try ranked standard play let's try that i didn't try
25:09ranked i think maybe i'll do more ranked stuff i probably ranked is where the better players are i
25:21don't know i might do more of that guys because uh yeah you want to see what works and you
25:33want to see
25:34the you want to see the better players play it doesn't matter that you you won or lost it matters
25:39what was the experience in terms of did you have fun and did you learn something and then of course
25:44how well did you play which is sort of under the category of what did you learn so you see
25:50what i'm
25:50saying i'll wait five minutes on waiting normally it doesn't take very long because there's other people
25:59waiting too besides me if you think about like the whole world maybe like there's millions and
26:04millions and millions of players you see what i'm saying and so you think about it okay uh it's very
26:10likely that there's other people no it says entering match but nothing happens so that that's that's a
26:16bug right there yeah oh wait so it says entering match but nothing happens so that must be on their
26:26end
26:29yeah that's i think that's broken that's got to be reported or something
26:36they probably have some statistics about what's happening on the server and such but
26:42i know they've i've heard stuff in the past saying well if you need to report it because if you
26:46don't
26:46tell us how do we know it's like well if you look in your log your network logs or your
26:52game logs whatever
26:53term you want to use you'll see what's going on and so uh i'm pretty sure they know some stuff
27:02i don't
27:02know how much they know but it's it's what it is so i'm going to wait a couple more minutes
27:09and then i'm going to upload that so at least you guys see the best out of three
27:13and that's the main thing is being able to see even if you what you want to go for is
27:18quality over
27:18quantity okay if you can get a lot of quality that's ideal but if it comes between quantity
27:24over quality as long as the quality meets the criteria and the purpose of what you're doing
27:30quality usually outdoes quantity you know what i mean so yeah now it depends on your needs too i mean
27:38not everybody for example needs to have a ferrari a lamborghini or a rolex watch you know what i mean
27:43it's like you can have a regular cool like a smart watch or whatever that's pretty cool i mean
27:49you can have that but just depends on your needs but when it comes to learning you want to find
27:56things
27:57that are instructive because that's what's going to be the most or the best use of your time so keep
28:02that in mind guys i mean everything is step by step so
28:11main thing i would say is just have fun playing if you're not having fun what's the point it's not
28:18unless this is your job but even then it's like if you don't like what you do it's like how
28:26how uh
28:27stable and like how uh sustainable is that going to be excuse me see what i'm saying so i'll wait
28:36another uh minute and a half or so and uh we'll see what happens yeah if i can't enter the
28:44match i
28:45already tried this once as you saw so i gave it the old college try and if it didn't work
28:50it didn't work
28:50so you know what they say right you can only do i mean basically you can only control what you
28:58do
28:58you can only do what you can do so that's what it is but i still think it's a solid
29:07i think it's fun
29:08to play because it doesn't cost anything to play i think that's really cool um and you can play anybody
29:13in the world at almost any time 24 hours a day so i think that's really awesome um even if
29:20you get
29:20something like this happen you can say you know what it's a matter of perspective how do i want
29:25to see it do i want to see the glass half full or half empty so these are the things
29:29you should think
29:31introspectively about stuff is how do you want to see the situation just like if you look at a painting
29:36right what when i look at that painting what do i see well i see this one okay that's your
29:43perception okay that's your point of view okay so that's what it is but it also your perspective
29:49is also based upon your own uh attitude and mentality so it's up to you to decide how you're
29:56gonna view it is a glass half full or half empty technically it's both but i choose to make it

30:02full or at least not make it but make it full but uh see it as half uh full if
30:08it's actually half full
