00:02What should we do after this scene?
00:04It's a big question.
00:07I've done a tour already, and I'm about to do a second one.
00:12It makes me wonder, am I repeating something?
00:17I don't know.
00:19There's something going on a bit with my shoulder,
00:21and I think it's something we're going to have to get looked at.
00:24So you'll do the surgery?
00:25Yes.
00:25A shoulder surgery always ends up being about six months off above you.
00:31It's not just affecting Nelson, it's affecting me and our relationship.
00:36Is your creativity satisfied?
00:39Um, I'm living the dream, I travel the world,
00:43but creating?
00:44What happened to Dad?
00:46What about another project?
00:49Let's say, what if I quit?
00:55Address of zombies and anxiety.
00:55Mixy go.
01:00kwest
01:03Mitch!
01:05Look at that man.
01:08Too easy.
01:10Regular!
01:12How are you feeling?
01:13Good, not bad.
01:14Yeah?
01:14Not bad, yeah.
01:16Movement's all right.
01:17I got my follow-up tomorrow so I can start a bit more stuff,
01:19and I'm on the 25th.
01:22Right on.
01:22How are you?
01:23Good.
01:24The surgery, it hasn't been as bad as I was thinking
01:27it was going to be going into it.
01:29So it's the last week of Luzier in Montreal.
01:32Five days from now, I go back to Australia
01:35to start the real serious part of my rehab.
01:39This is my last chance to be able to hang out
01:41with the hoop-diving team while they train,
01:42and so come in and have a bit of fun.
01:49Very nice.
01:53Oh!
01:54I'm like watching the sports right now.
01:58Let's go dinner!
02:02Yes, yes, shake my hand.
02:04That's very nice, that's very good.
02:05You're super good.
02:06I'll miss it like crazy, being on stage
02:08and having those moments of fun
02:11that make the hoop-divers as famous as they are.
02:14But I'll be back.
02:19Woo!
02:22Me and Liv, we're just spending as much time as possible
02:25with each other as well.
02:26That's another reason that I'm here today,
02:28to just kind of milk that for all it's worth.
02:31Bravo, my beautiful!
02:35It will be the longest time that I've been apart from Olivia
02:38during our relationship.
02:39It's gonna be sad.
02:40Yeah.
02:41Yeah, it's not really something that I'm scared of,
02:43it's just something that I have to be ready for.
02:45You are good at making a good time.
02:48Of anything.
02:49We'll remember that.
02:50Every morning.
02:51I'm gonna have a good day.
02:52But not as good as it could be.
02:53But not as good as it could be.
02:55One key ingredient is missing.
02:57The special ingredient.
02:58Very special ingredient.
03:16Did it!
03:18It's our final week here in Montreal.
03:23Even though we still have seven shows ahead of us,
03:25it's our last opportunity to celebrate
03:27what we achieved this summer.
03:29We will celebrate those type of milestones
03:32with a big harbour cruise all together.
03:34Hey, it was a lot of shows, right?
03:36You were in 130?
03:37Yeah.
03:38With new integrations,
03:40repeaters,
03:41all the pressure to arrive in the city.
03:44God!
03:49Yeah.
03:49We're gonna go one day before the wedding,
03:52so I can see, like, the space
03:53and just to imagine a little bit.
03:56Yeah.
03:56Because I don't want to arrive, like...
03:58What?
03:59Yeah.
04:01I feel that everyone has been working so hard.
04:04So, so hard.
04:06So, tonight is gonna be a night, like,
04:08to just enjoy and to party and to dance.
04:11Yeah.
04:12Oh, I love you.
04:13I love you.
04:14I love you.
04:14I love you.
04:14I love you.
04:14I love you.
04:14I love you.
04:16Of course, by the end of the city,
04:17we are all getting tired.
04:19People need to relax and have some fun.
04:22It just gives you extra burst of energy.
04:30With, basically, one week left,
04:33I'm going to miss Montreal a lot, a lot.
04:36I have lived so many things here in my 20s,
04:40now in my 30s.
04:41For me, it was a full circle to come back.
04:44Happy birthday.
04:46Yes.
04:46Hey, officially, today,
04:49it's our last night,
04:51eating together,
04:52alone,
04:53before we get married.
04:54Yes.
04:55We are getting married
04:56four days after.
04:58They're wrong in Montreal.
05:00I feel that I'm in one of the best moments of my life.
05:03It's a little bit of nostalgia,
05:05like,
05:05that you're not here in the last week.
05:08I'm going to be preparing everything,
05:10leaving everything at a point.
05:12Yes.
05:13Organizing everything.
05:15You want to cry,
05:16and I too.
05:18To have someone
05:19that is taking care of me in this way,
05:22it's really amazing.
05:24And I also feel that it's going to be beautiful
05:26that Sore comes with me on the flight.
05:28It gives me a lot of peace.
05:29It's going to help you with the dress,
05:31with the shoes.
05:32No, yes.
05:34I'm going to be a crazy girlfriend.
05:37I'm crazy.
05:37Yes.
05:40Health.
05:41Health for this.
05:45Let's toast together.
05:47After nine and a half years,
05:48we're back,
05:50and we did it again.
05:52Coming back to Montreal
05:53was a huge lesson of acceptance.
05:56Cheers.
05:57Cheers, baby.
05:59Nine years of this show
06:00made me a better performer,
06:02for sure.
06:03Well, in the end,
06:04I realized I need to get back to my role
06:06as a creator.
06:07So, yeah,
06:08I'm ready to give it a shot
06:10and create something for the company.
06:14Yeah!
06:16Here in Montreal,
06:17it's nine shows a week
06:18for almost four months, nonstop.
06:21But I do think that
06:22being part of a show
06:23that is so full on
06:24and so intense,
06:25it adds more to the relationship
06:28and it adds more to the connection
06:29we have even on stage.
06:31So after Montreal,
06:34you're going to Ohio
06:35and Nelson's going to Australia.
06:37Yeah.
06:38Oh, man.
06:39So it's the start of the long distance.
06:43Five months, six months.
06:45Oh, my God.
06:46It's going to be a long time.
06:47Is that the longest you guys
06:48have ever been apart?
06:49100%.
06:49Even, like, when me and Nelson
06:51have been long distance before,
06:52it's, like, morning and night, basically.
06:54Yeah.
06:54Because it's, like, 16, 17 hours apart.
06:58Nelson leaving is definitely
07:00going to change my day-to-day life
07:01because it's the person
07:03that I do my life with, you know?
07:05And he's my best friend.
07:06And so to not have him
07:08is very scary.
07:09You know, at least next city
07:10we'll be living together.
07:11Yes.
07:12And that's exciting.
07:13We'll be in the same apartment.
07:14So that would be so,
07:15that would be so good.
07:16Yeah.
07:16Olivia and I,
07:17we booked in the same apartment building.
07:19And so we're going to be, like,
07:21friends knocking on each other's door
07:23and, you know, hanging out with each other.
07:25And I think that's really important
07:26for Olivia and for me, too.
07:28It's, I mean, it's,
07:28it's not the easiest doing distance.
07:30I think that's the hardest part for me
07:32is, like, when on tour,
07:35I'm texting somebody, like,
07:36do you want to do something,
07:37but they're already hanging out
07:38with their partner
07:38or doing something with their partner.
07:40So at least now...
07:41Now we'll have each other.
07:42Yeah, we'll have each other.
07:43That's really cool.
07:43Exactly.
07:44Breaking up isn't really ever
07:46a question or an option.
07:48And, uh, so yeah,
07:50I, I try to be mentally strong.
07:52And I'm really thankful
07:53that I'll have you.
07:54Yeah, I'm thankful I'll have you, too.
07:55It's gonna be so fun.
07:56Cheers!
08:12After seeing Nadair,
08:14I realized I want to go back
08:16to my passion as a creator.
08:19Merci beaucoup.
08:22While we're still here in Montreal,
08:24Miranda and I are going
08:25to see some shows.
08:26Yeah.
08:27We're here at, uh, Tohu,
08:29and, uh, we're gonna see
08:31a smaller independent circus
08:33because it's always inspiring
08:35to see what other people do.
08:40I think for Eric,
08:42it's time to, to take the next step.
08:45Eric is a creator.
08:53Give up my control for other people.
08:56I have to trust for them to catch me.
08:58When I watch a show, I, I don't want to miss a thing.
09:04In time, I've learned to just soak it up and enjoy it.
09:09It's an incredible place to get inspiration for new shows.
09:24It's not now or never, but now it's the best time.
09:28It's so close to the fire.
09:32It's a nice way to catch me.
09:34Yeah.
09:34It's a nice way to catch me.
09:34Before we finish from the headquarters.
09:40Yeah.
09:40It's a nice way to catch me.
09:43Yeah.
09:46Of course I'm part of the Cirque du Soleil family.
09:49Thank you very much.
09:50but it's not always clear where I stand
09:54or how far they would let me create a circus show.
10:00I have to declare my intentions to Cirque.
10:04We will see.
10:13I performed here once.
10:16Once in my orchestral career.
10:18What is that?
10:19Does it make sense to me?
10:19Eugene is one of my dear friends.
10:24She studied music.
10:25I think we got along because of our background, both in arts.
10:30And she had the chance to come to a few shows
10:33and watch me in the Adagio act.
10:36How was it for you for the first time you saw Luzia?
10:39And how did you think Adagio?
10:43I found that quite interesting.
10:45I feel like...
10:47You can be honest.
10:51I feel like your facial expression is a little square.
10:55I think the acrobatics is great.
10:57You know, I'm not commenting on that.
10:58But I feel like it's really important to, as the performer, to be present on stage.
11:05You know, and that's something definitely to work on, because this is like, yeah, actually, I think of an artist,
11:13this is probably the most challenging, to spike something new, you know?
11:19This feeling of like, you only do it once.
11:22Do you feel like circus still really excites you?
11:24Or it's kind of become my job.
11:29Sometimes you can put yourself in questions.
11:33Is circus something I really want to keep doing?
11:38Or, I don't know, if I want to explore something else.
11:41It's mostly a time, like, that you don't have energy.
11:44No.
11:45I feel like I'm very tired of doing this, and then I want to do something different.
11:51If you wanted to be, maybe be an artistic director.
11:56If I'm staying in the circus industry, that would be the route I would go.
12:00How would you kind of start to develop that?
12:03I've already thought about doing maybe like a workshop to see how I feel with coaching.
12:12There's a circus workshop I'm going to teach this week.
12:17And I figured it would be a good way to step out of my comfort zone.
12:23We'll see how, how that goes.
12:39In the final week, we need to get ready for a transfer.
12:42And I always need extra supports when packing.
12:47And luckily, I have my mom who is very experienced in this lifestyle.
12:51Sit down there?
12:52Yes.
12:53Look what I brought to the house.
12:55What did you bring to the house?
12:57What did you bring to the house?
12:58Photos.
12:58Ah!
12:59That's for you.
13:00Always in costume.
13:02I had some costumes.
13:03What age here?
13:05Three and a half.
13:06Three and a half.
13:07Yeah.
13:07I'm always so happy when my mom come visit me.
13:10It's the place of the circus.
13:12It's the place of the circus.
13:13It's true.
13:14It's true.
13:14She was a juggler.
13:15And I know it makes her super, super happy to go back into the circus environment.
13:22And then...
13:23It's the best.
13:24And that's how it started with the fifth generation.
13:28It's the start.
13:30It's the start.
13:31My family, in 1800, they were already doing circus.
13:36So, it was pretty normal for me to run away with the circus, let's say.
13:41That's the elephants of my grandfather.
13:43My grandfather, the family.
13:44The family.
13:46I went up high with my head and you said...
13:49To go down.
13:50To my uncle, to go down because you were afraid that I went too high.
13:53And I was angry with you.
13:55I said, no, let's go up high.
14:00Until I was 21 years old, I used to live on a trailer because we were ready to move from
14:05city to city.
14:06So, it was really this feeling of opening the door of the trailer and you have your cousin there, your
14:13auntie there.
14:15So, definitely, it was a big change when I started traveling around the world by myself.
14:22You always told me that it was the best time in your life when you were young.
14:27There was a whole family, we traveled a lot.
14:30And when we moved, it was a whole city that moved.
14:41It's been four years that I've been in the show and I would really love to go back to Europe,
14:47to be close to my family.
14:49Because every time that I see them, I see them, like, older.
14:53So, it's hard to not get nervous about it.
14:55Every city that you go, I try to come when it's possible.
14:59It's still a shock.
15:00I said, we were always in the family, always together.
15:03It's empty at home now without you.
15:06Fortunately, you left us your dog.
15:08Yeah.
15:09My dream, ultimately, would be to have my own show together with my dad.
15:15Be able to perform different disciplines, just like I was doing when I was a kid.
15:20And that would also be a way to be closer to my family.
15:33Every time when we get into the end of the run, Charlie approaches us to do publicity.
15:37We'll get going.
15:38It's also a part of being an artist to do those photo shoots.
15:42And since I'm the one, I'm being asked pretty often.
15:46So, this will be a scene maybe where you're looking around, you're trying to pick the right flowers,
15:50and then you find one and you get into one, you smell it.
15:53Today, to boost ticket sales, we are out in Montreal to take a photo shoot for Sœur de Soleil Parfum.
16:00In three, two, one.
16:04Yes, perfect.
16:07When it comes down to PR opportunities, it's a big challenge because there's a lot of things going on in
16:13Montreal during the summertime.
16:14So, making sure we're top of mind to the people in Montreal, yeah, big project.
16:20Perfect.
16:21He grabs it, passes it to her, she's intrigued, smells it.
16:24Yep.
16:25Okay.
16:25So, Carla, pass it to him.
16:27So, we have three artists and we're visiting different locations of the city with the social media team from our
16:32corporate team here at Sœur.
16:34Oh, from this angle, it looks amazing, too.
16:37Can I suggest for Alexei?
16:38They're going to use this for generic content on social media.
16:42We're good?
16:42That was beautiful.
16:43Perfect.
16:44All right.
16:45Next location.
16:46If you move a little bit back this way, we do have to be relevant and we need to make
16:54sure that tourists know that we're here as the people are coming in and out of the city during the
16:58entire summer.
16:59Yeah, definitely.
17:05Right?
17:07Yeah.
17:07Ooh.
17:08So dangerous.
17:11He's warming up.
17:12I'm just sitting on top of him.
17:17Cute.
17:18Perfect.
17:18And when you lift me up, don't hesitate to pull.
17:21Yeah.
17:22Because the more you pull, the easier it is for me.
17:31Oh, yeah.
17:33Gorgeous.
17:34Woo!
17:38Woo!
17:40We're clapping for you, Vanessa.
17:42And you have a whole crowd here.
17:46Three, two, one, go!
17:49All right.
17:51I enjoy this kind of thing.
17:53I enjoy filming and photo sessions.
17:55Okay.
17:55That was perfect.
17:57Hopefully, after all this running around the city, we will see a boost in the tickets in
18:01our final show.
18:02I love it.
18:03You love it?
18:04Okay.
18:05Boom.
18:05Perfect.
18:07Good job, guys.
18:08We're done.
18:08Good job, guys.
18:14When I started circus, it was in an arena.
18:18In 2003, they bought this church to create a space for training.
18:24Today, my porter Beto and I are teaching a workshop on Adagio at the local circus school.
18:30It's the place where I learned circus.
18:32Let's go.
18:32Let's go.
18:33Hello.
18:34Beto and I are close because we are from the same circus background.
18:39So, I understand where he's coming from.
18:42This is the main space.
18:43That's super nice.
18:46Hi.
18:47Hi.
18:47We're here to have a little bit of fun with you guys.
18:50Show you a little bit of what we do.
18:53Cool.
18:54Four.
18:58And bring her to the other side.
19:00Just warm up her shoulder.
19:02Do you want to do a short swing?
19:04Yes.
19:05So, the principle of the high swing is you want to keep your shoulders very strong.
19:12Try to resist not to, like, let them separate you.
19:16You are trying to hold them together.
19:18Okay.
19:18You can try so you can feel.
19:21The students are so excited to learn.
19:24It's funny to think about how, when I was a student, I would have done anything to get where I
19:30am today.
19:31So, in the swing, it's all about bending the legs.
19:34Like, bending the legs to have power after that to give the push.
19:39Yes.
19:40Okay.
19:40If you're doing everything with the torso, you're losing the power after that if you want to push up for
19:47a salto.
19:51Nice.
19:51Good, good, good, good.
19:53It was really nice to see you coaching now, for me, in my perspective.
19:57Because I always saw you doing, but I don't hear everything that you have in your head about it.
20:02Not just the technique, but what you do.
20:04It's nice to hear your words, because in your exterior, I was coaching here, and then I was just like...
20:12I'm good.
20:14I love sharing.
20:16I understand that I don't have yet a lot of experience teaching, but when I do it, I like it.
20:21Yeah, that's nice.
20:23It's nice.
20:24Nice, nice, nice, nice.
20:25In the workshop, you get comprehension of what you do as you're sharing it.
20:30I realize I'm not just hanging.
20:32I hang, and then I end up pushing.
20:34Uh-huh.
20:35I think that there is improvement in how I can relay information.
20:43And this will definitely help when I will want to explain something to one of my quarters.
20:49Just having fun, like, being in that same energy.
20:52It's like, I can do it.
20:57Thank you, guys.
20:59Thank you so much.
21:00Of course.
21:01Thank you, my player.
21:02I'm super happy to be here.
21:05No, it was really fun.
21:17All my life, I've been creating shows, so I know I have the ability to create a show on this
21:22level.
21:23Hello.
21:25Nice to meet you, finally.
21:26Likewise.
21:28Come on in, have a seat.
21:29I'm coming here to have a conversation with Matt Mikkel.
21:33Because he's the chief creative.
21:36And that's the one I need to talk to, to declare my intentions to Cirque.
21:42So tell me.
21:43Well, I have a lot of questions.
21:46I'm very interested in the company.
21:50Yeah.
21:50Because a Cirque is going through an interesting time, I grew as a performer.
22:05Like, come on.
22:06And, um, well, my main question is, is there a place for me in this company, besides on stage?
22:29It's like, uh...
22:31Oh, Eric, say something.
22:34Spit it out.
22:35I'm trying to...
22:37Why don't you tell me what you want to do?
22:40Why don't you tell me what you want to do?
22:41What I want to do?
22:41Um, well, I think, uh, I have something to add to the company.
22:48I created my own shows for 20 years.
22:53I created 20 shows for myself.
22:57And, um, yeah, that's, that's what I miss here now.
23:03What I'm hearing from you is your performance time, your performance on stage, you're, you're
23:08thinking elsewhere now.
23:10Yeah.
23:10You've contributed.
23:11What's the next step for Eric?
23:14So perhaps if we want to develop something further, if you want to develop an act, we
23:18can...
23:19I, I, I have so much experience.
23:22It lighted up the fire of, of, of creating.
23:25You know, my end goal is just, is, is create the whole show.
23:29I told you I, I would like to pitch.
23:31That will be the, the ultimate goal.
23:35Obviously, if you have work that you've done in the past, we want to make sure that
23:38we either get the opportunity to see that, or perhaps there's something upcoming that
23:43we can be a part of.
23:45This is really a first step of making sure that we communicate, making sure that we
23:48understand that, hey, this is what I want to do.
23:51Eric, you're putting up your hand.
23:52Yeah.
23:52You are the moment that the audience relates to.
23:55Yeah.
23:56So you, you have the ability to pick up these data points from a creative perspective,
24:01of what people respond to.
24:04Yeah.
24:04It's, it's something that's important.
24:06Yeah.
24:07Very open to that.
24:08So many people have things that they want to say in different ways.
24:11For them to, to know the environment in which we deliver our, our art is a huge benefit.
24:18We look for that.
24:19Many of the people who have worked with us, directed, choreographed, designed acts come
24:25from this world.
24:26They want to be a part of it.
24:27So it's always a great opportunity.
24:30Matt was very kind.
24:32A boardroom is not the big top.
24:34It's something different.
24:35So that was new for me.
24:37Um, you know, I was not expecting a contract that I, let's put it that way.
24:43The good thing is he wants to keep the conversation going.
24:47That was basically the goal, but it's a long way.
24:59It's possible to do Salto Mortale.
25:05And today we decided to just working on new things that never been done before.
25:12The Salto Mortale.
25:17We all pitched in a little bit of our theory, what we're thinking that needs to be done.
25:30We're practicing Salto Mortale and we all have names for each sequence that we're doing.
25:35So it's a swing and then I'm doing Salto out of the boys and then landing on one porter
25:41in a mermaid position.
25:48Just a little bit later and you won't fall.
25:51When we're doing this, because we have to kind of stabilize,
25:55I was just a little bit in front because I didn't want to be too fast.
25:59Yes! Yes!
26:00I love Chris.
26:02He's got big opinions, but when I speak up now, he's here to listen.
26:06Good job, guys. Hi.
26:07I'm very proud of us.
26:09What we've been through together and pushing through and then always being available.
26:16Since we did the workshop in Quebec City, somehow I started understanding a little bit more
26:21the perspective of Anton, Chris and Beto.
26:24I feel like it was a good way to bring us together.
26:29Doing this workshop, it definitely gave me confidence to keep it fresh, to keep it passionate.
26:37We haven't landed the Salto Mortale yet, but we will soon.
26:42It's important to know that there's a place to grow and for whatever reason,
26:47this has given me a new sense of purpose.
26:59Are you gonna serve coffee to me?
27:01Cold coffee? Do you want more?
27:02No, it's still warm, but you can put a little bit more coffee in.
27:05A little bit more.
27:06It was a good meeting at Cirque du Soleil headquarters because we opened the conversation.
27:11And that was my goal.
27:14I still have some work to do on my pitch.
27:16Beautiful.
27:17But I know I can do it.
27:19Cheers.
27:20Coffee.
27:21Dank.
27:22Look at the view.
27:24Not being at home is a substantial challenge.
27:27We just follow the circus.
27:29We look at our options for the upcoming cities and we realize that they're all in North America.
27:35So that made us decide to buy an RV.
27:41Yeah.
27:42Eerste ochtend koffie in ons nieuwe huisje.
27:44Cheers.
27:45Cheers.
27:45This time you bring your home with you.
27:48I love to travel around in our trailer.
27:52And then we go back to the US again and start all over again.
27:57I discussed with Miranda and we decided to continue touring with Lucia for some more time.
28:02Eric and I, we do not like long discussions anyway.
28:07So, no.
28:09No, it's not.
28:10It's not a hard decision.
28:11You never know.
28:13You never know what happened.
28:14To any color.
28:15And to any color.
28:16The clown of Lucia.
28:17It's not a good idea.
28:26Ladies and gentlemen.
28:27Tepi Arouche, please.
28:29Hi.
28:30We're almost done.
28:32Hi everybody!
28:33Oh my goodness!
28:35It's our last Tepi Arouche.
28:40Without getting emotional, four months here was incredible and you guys are so gracious
28:47and generous and we achieved so many things.
28:50We had new show callers, new show operators, new technicians, new lights, we had new flyers,
28:57we have new birds and you guys did it all four months straight and you guys are magic.
29:05So, yes, what did I forget?
29:07I forgot something.
29:07More than 225,000 spectators.
29:09More than 225,000.
29:11Which is more than the first time in Montreal and the second largest audience for Lucia in the whole room.
29:28All right, what's the plan?
29:30You do this, but then you come out and then you go in the line.
29:33And then for the high five, I was thinking the same thing.
29:35Is it the best day ever?
29:36This is the single greatest day of my life.
29:38You get to feel what it's like to be a technician without any of the heavy things.
29:43I was just walking over here from home and on my way over I was like, I think I should
29:47cheers with the technicians.
29:48I haven't actually told anybody.
29:51Just give everyone a little bit of energy for the last show.
29:53A bit of joy, mate.
29:54A bit of joy.
29:55I love the joie de vivre, or how they say it in this beautiful city.
30:04The last Montreal show.
30:06Yeah.
30:07Right now.
30:09That's one.
30:10Let's go.
30:14House lights fade out.
30:16Go.
30:23The last show is all about precision.
30:25Like, we're on a time crunch.
30:27We have three days to tear down the big top, put everything into the trucks and then transport
30:32it to another city.
30:33Okay.
30:33Next stop, Kyoto is coming out.
30:36As soon as we're done with an element of props or set design or costume, we pack it up
30:41and it goes to the next city.
30:48It's a teamwork between the technical team and the artists to start packing up those pieces
30:53as the show is going on.
30:55Passant tes pieds.
31:01And as for the performers, as soon as they're finished, they are free to go and most of them
31:06are going to run to the airport.
31:08Slake is going to the road, guys.
31:10You're welcome.
31:11Take care of my slave.
31:12I will.
31:13Always.
31:18The final show is always such mixed feelings.
31:21Any injuries, fatigue, you have to put it behind me.
31:25This is big for me, but it's bigger for the people who watch me do it.
31:29Great job.
31:30I'm going to pay for everything.
31:34Learning certain tricks, it really has to come from within yourself.
31:50The Porters and I, we've reached a new level and we can really feel that together.
31:57It feels amazing.
31:59It feels very liberating.
32:00It's magical to have that feeling again.
32:09The last show is about change, about saying goodbye and about accepting the next thing.
32:18These changes are not always fun.
32:20They are not easy, but if you made peace with it, it's okay.
32:52I was a long run.
32:53I won't touch the ball for at least one week.
32:57And it's really to enjoy your life outside of working.
33:01Being back in Montreal really helped me to grow as artist.
33:06Performing after almost 10 years will remind me how far we come.
33:12We love Montreal and it feels like home.
33:16We've been here for a good four months.
33:19When you're used to touring, the capability of adapting becomes better, but you never
33:24really get used to it fully, to all these transfers.
33:28Where are you off to?
33:29It's in Italy to see my mom, my dad and my doggy.
33:36It's been four years that I've been sharing my days with these incredible talented artists.
33:43And they became my friends and my family.
33:47Montreal was very, very unique.
33:50It went super fast and I saw my parents maybe twice in four months.
33:54I'm always away.
33:56I never get to see them.
33:57I don't know when I'll get the chance to perform in Montreal again.
34:00It's always tough, but we accept it because it's a part of our job.
34:04Thank you so much for this summer.
34:08It's a tradition at Cirque du Soleil on Teardown Sunday, it's spaghetti.
34:13It doesn't matter which show you're on, it's spaghetti.
34:17I think for me the highlight of Montreal was to have my family come again for the second time,
34:24which was, you know, a long time ago since they came to see it.
34:28I have a bit of a refreshed eye on the tour and the performance.
34:33After doing this show for nine years, it is a challenge.
34:37But I'm very happy to keep going, so I decided to stick with the tour.
34:45I'm going to miss a lot Montreal.
34:47I feel that this is a second home.
34:51It was a full circle to come back.
34:54In four days, I'm going to get married.
34:57I'm so excited.
34:58I'm going with Soré to the airport.
35:00We have the same flight to Mallorca.
35:02And I'm so happy because I didn't want to travel by myself.
35:08It's been a long city and we have all gone through it together.
35:13I think that there's been a lot of challenges that we've each overcome individually.
35:19Between the show schedule, training schedule, and people from headquarters coming in,
35:23there's very little personal time.
35:26I'm sad that it's over because I really like the city.
35:30I love Montreal.
35:32But I'm, I'm ready to go.
35:34Bye!
35:35Bye!

36:20VĂ¡monos!
36:21VĂ¡monos!
36:22VĂ¡monos!
36:24VĂ¡monos!
36:24those moments on stage Olivia exists so much inside me already I kind of carry
36:32her wherever I am in the world if we're together or if we're apart I'll always
36:37have a little piece of her while I'm away so me and Nasson I've had the
36:42conversation of whether or not we are together because it's convenient or
36:45together because we want to be together and we are absolutely together because
36:49we want to be together we've got a pretty good system of two calls a day
36:54and it's either my morning in my afternoon or Liv's morning in her after
37:00show I'll stay on tour I'll do everything I do every day the same I'll just have
37:06lots of phone calls this isn't our first time doing long distance though saying
37:09our first rodeo we've had a couple of trial runs yeah first one was three and
37:14a half months and it was not a good time yeah that was the beginning of our
37:16relationship we just had an awesome trip in Croatia together and then I went to
37:21Turkey and immediately lost my phone and so that was just horrible yes
37:32this is the last day in Montreal yeah I'm already looking forward to arrive at the next
37:37campsite yeah slide out the slide and have a beer have a beer just in ons bloed
37:49on the road again yeah yeah check boom hit the road baby let's go
38:06my legacy it's bigger than one show or one meeting I kind of helped build this family and it's great
38:15to
38:15see that all the family members are thriving in their own way but I would
38:20still like to create a show with Cirque
38:31somehow I don't know why it happens when we finish the city I cannot sleep for a
38:36couple of nights and this night I had thoughts and I decided to write them down
38:40I can read them sometimes I asked myself does anyone really need it
38:49is it important what we do maybe we should have done something else and after a
38:58little contemplation I come with the answers yes it's important what we do
39:05because we bring emotions and happiness to people who come watch circus we make people believe that
39:12impossible things are possible because circus art is very pure it's very genuine you cannot fake it if you
39:23have a trick you show it if you can do a salto you do a salto if you do a
39:29triple
39:30fold you don't fake it you do it real every time every performance circus art is the
39:37most genuine art in this sense and to make circus art work to make it bring people
39:44happiness happiness and other emotions artists should work really hard you have
39:51to start over every day so every day is a different show it's a different act a
39:59different performance because the real salary of an artist is the public reaction
40:10you have to earn it by the level of performance the level of emotion and that's why artists are able
40:18night after night to deliver a great performance this beautiful tension is fragility this joy this a
40:33pleasure the Cirque du Soleil here especially in Montreal is part of the soul of this city so the
40:41people are happy to feast when we come back our job is to make our audiences happy we want this
40:50to be an
40:50escape for the audience they don't need to worry about things that are happening in the world they
40:55come into Cirque du Soleil they come into the big top they're escaping Toulouseia and we present
41:01that Montreal has been a challenge but it's also been really rewarding just to see how much love
41:09people still have for this show after so many years there was an added layer of fatigue but it
41:23doesn't rain on memory lane so I'm gonna look back on it like it's the best summer of my life
41:43I love you I love you I love you I love you which way are we going I'll walk you
41:46to your gate thank
41:47you circuses its own world or universe it makes people happy makes people believe makes people
41:58perceive beauty and harmony in its different forms and shapes beauty of human body beauty of engineering
42:06beauty of music and voice beauty of education since four years old it was my dream to be a circus
42:15performer I
42:16just wanted to be part of this world and now I can say that I'm living through my dream that's
42:25that's amazing
42:46mean
42:57you
43:01you
