Watch as a high-speed chase turns into a clever escape when a jackal outmanoeuvres a cheetah in the wild.
James Mwangi, from Kenya, captured the intense moment during a hunt.
The video shows a cheetah chasing a jackal around a bush, circling it multiple times in a fast-paced pursuit.
Just as it seems the predator might catch its prey, the jackal suddenly changes direction and slips away. Despite several attempts, the cheetah fails to close the distance and is left momentarily confused.
The clip ends with the cheetah giving up and looking for another target, while the jackal escapes unharmed.
James said: "A wild game of tag on the savannah.
"This cheetah and jackal turn the chase into a fast-paced dance around a bush — quick turns, clever moves, and a burst of speed that sends the jackal dashing off to safety.
"It’s playful, unpredictable, and full of energy one of those moments that make the wild so exciting to watch."
