Checkout this wild footage of a leopard being surrounded by a troop of baboons.
This intense wildlife encounter unfolded in the heart of Ruaha National Park, Southern Tanzania, when a young leopard found itself surrounded by a troop of yellow baboons.
The dramatic footage, filmed by Melkzedeck Mangasin from Dodoma, Tanzania, shows the juvenile leopard seeking safety high up in a tree as the troop gathers below, calling out in alarm and closing in on their unexpected visitor.
Several dominant males move forward.
Eventually, in a desperate bid for escape, the leopard makes a daring leap from the tree — triggering a chaotic moment as several baboons rush forward to attack.
Melkzedeck said: "Ultimately, in an effort to ensure its survival, the leopard made a hasty descent, prompting a number of baboons from the troop to launch an attack."
