00:00:00The NBA postseason is underway, featuring two future Hall of Famers, two NBA champions, two of the biggest names in
00:00:09the game.
00:00:10The Clippers led by 34-year-old Kawhi Leonard, who is playing better than ever.
00:00:17And the Warriors, Steph Curry at 38, paddling injury, now back and ready to roll.
00:00:23They meet on the biggest stage before and again tonight.
00:00:27The winner lives for another day.
00:00:30The loser, well, for the loser, the season ends.
00:00:39Welcome to NBA On Prime Tip-Off.
00:00:43The Golden State Warriors have staggered to the finish line, dealing with two starters lost, and Curry gone for a
00:00:50third of the season.
00:00:51But now he's back.
00:00:52The Clippers have battled back from a horrible start to pull out a historic finish, led by Leonard.
00:01:00The winner here advances to play the Phoenix Suns Friday.
00:01:04For the loser, the season will come to a conclusion.
00:01:09And great to have you with us tonight in Southern California, Kevin Harlan with the Hall of Famer, Candace Barker.
00:01:14And we'll check in with our sideline reporter, Allie Clifton, in just a minute.
00:01:19Hey, you've played in a lot of elimination games where the stakes are so high.
00:01:23And once you've won a championship, as Steph Curry and Kawhi Leonard have, you love the stakes high.
00:01:29We're getting right to it with this 9-10 matchup.
00:01:31But the truth of the matter is, one of these Hall of Famers is going home.
00:01:34Isn't that amazing?
00:01:35Here we are when we look forward to this time of year, and one is going to be going home
00:01:38tonight.
00:01:39Let's begin with the Golden State Warriors.
00:01:41A lot of moving parts here.
00:01:43A lot of injuries.
00:01:44Now they're back.
00:01:45Yet they still, as I said, have staggered to the finish line.
00:01:48Yes, they've staggered to the finish line.
00:01:50Look at those numbers, Kevin.
00:01:51Points per game with Steph Curry on the court.
00:01:54Points per game with Steph Curry off the court.
00:01:56We talked to Steve Kerr.
00:01:58He didn't sugarcoat it.
00:01:59He said they don't have a lot of momentum coming into this game, but they have experience.
00:02:03Experience in Al Horford and Steph Curry and Draymond Green, who have been very vocal in this postseason, gearing up
00:02:10for this 9-10 matchup.
00:02:12Obviously, they go as Curry goes.
00:02:15He's Steph Curry.
00:02:16He makes things easier on the other guys.
00:02:19He makes things difficult on the defense.
00:02:21Leave it to Ty Lue.
00:02:23He's sick of playing against number 30.
00:02:25And so, Golden State needs Steph Curry to do unbelievable things to keep them in this matchup.
00:02:30And there's been a lot of talk about minutes restrictions.
00:02:33There's a lot to this story for Curry, but he is back.
00:02:35The knee feeling okay, not great.
00:02:38Moments ago, our Allie Clifton caught up with the Hall of Famer-to-be for Golden State.
00:02:44Thanks so much, Kev.
00:02:46Steph, Kevin, and Candice were just breaking down your impact on the game as a whole.
00:02:49But specific to the play-in situations, 34 a night for you.
00:02:53What is it about these moments that bring out the best in you?
00:02:56I don't know if that's a title you want.
00:02:59But, obviously, you have opportunities to keep your season alive.
00:03:03We've had plenty of opportunities.
00:03:05I think this is our fifth actual play-in game.
00:03:08So, we're used to the sense of urgency of just winning one and trying to keep our season alive.
00:03:13And I've got to do the same thing tonight.
00:03:14When you kind of look at this matchup from a broader lens, if you would, for just a minute,
00:03:18headlined by two future Hall of Famers, you and Kawhi,
00:03:21you share six championships together.
00:03:23To recognize the elite level you guys are both playing at, still at this stage of your career,
00:03:28what's the appreciation for these kind of moments for you?
00:03:32That's kind of why the play-in matters and, obviously, what you look forward to towards the playoffs
00:03:36because you know there's going to be somebody on the side that is either up-and-coming
00:03:40or somebody that you've had a long history with that has a resume that is stacked.
00:03:44So, Kawhi is definitely that.
00:03:46It always brings the best out of you.
00:03:48It's an extreme challenge every single night.
00:03:50So, in their home building, you've got to expect that he's going to play well.
00:03:54You've just got to try to make it as hard as possible on him.
00:03:56But there is an appreciation, respect, and just an admiration for what we're all able to still be doing at
00:04:04this level.
00:04:04Steph, appreciate your time.
00:04:05As always, good luck tonight.
00:04:06I appreciate you.
00:04:07Terrific job.
00:04:08There's not a better ambassador, is there, for the NBA right now than that guy?
00:04:11Wow, just absolutely amazing.
00:04:13And he's going to take on someone who's had a historic season at 34.
00:04:17No one has done a career year like Kawhi Leonard or the Clippers.
00:04:21Yes, in year 14, putting up career numbers.
00:04:25Kawhi Leonard, the claw.
00:04:27One of the best players on both sides of the ball is showing why.
00:04:31He had 20-plus games, 20-plus points in his final 57 games.
00:04:36He is the most efficient player in the pick-and-roll, only behind SGA.
00:04:41I mean, he's doing it all, and his numbers are showing that he is a healthy Kawhi Leonard.
00:04:46Look at this.
00:04:47He's number four in the league in fast-break points.
00:04:50He does it getting to the basket.
00:04:52He also has the size, ability, and strength to score over defenders
00:04:57that are much bigger and longer getting to the three.
00:04:59And then again, we talk about that two-way.
00:05:01That's what the Clippers depend on him to do when he's on the floor.
00:05:05It's the 9-10 matchup.
00:05:08It's the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Clippers.
00:05:12It's win or go home.
00:05:15This is the NBA on Prime.
00:05:24Flight path of LAX is zooming overhead, and they'll be zooming on the floor.
00:05:29The Golden State Warriors, hosted by the LA Clippers,
00:05:34going on right now in Philadelphia.
00:05:36A tight one, about two to play in that 7-8 matchup
00:05:41between the Sixers and the Magic.
00:05:43And after watching Charlotte last night against Miami,
00:05:48wow, what a game that was.
00:05:49And the loser will take on the Hornets.
00:05:53Yes, and the NBA and Adam Silver knew exactly what they were doing
00:05:57with this play-in tournament.
00:05:58Man, creating elimination when the stakes are high.
00:06:02They're filling the seats in one of the most advanced arenas in the world.
00:06:07Coming up, Warriors Clippers on Prime.
00:06:14First in a win or go home matchup, the 9-10 matchup in the West.
00:06:18I'm Taylor Rooks with Dirk Ravitz, Blake Griffin, and Udonis Haslam.
00:06:21We are in for a treat.
00:06:23We're getting Stephen Curry on one side, Kawhi Leonard on another in an elimination game.
00:06:28Can't wait, PG.
00:06:29Yeah, I mean, this is sort of what the play-in was made for.
00:06:32This is two teams who didn't have the season that they expected to have,
00:06:35but they're still in this position to be able to make the playoffs.
00:06:39Steph, Kawhi.
00:06:39Last time they saw each other in the postseason was the finals.
00:06:43A little bit different stakes here, but still, I mean, this is everything you want.
00:06:49Incredible.
00:06:50Season might have been actually his best season ever.
00:06:52It's right up there with his best season.
00:06:55I mean, he seems automatic.
00:06:56His mid-range, he's shooting one of the best percentages from threes this year.
00:07:01He just has an incredible season.
00:07:03He's still elite defensively.
00:07:05Steals, deflections, all of that.
00:07:07So, he's having an incredible year, and we'll see if he's got it tonight,
00:07:11if he can take it over and steal the game.
00:07:13Yeah, and Steph.
00:07:14Obviously, Steph is back, and they haven't had much success as a team in the play-in,
00:07:18but he, as an individual, has had great success, averaging about 33.8 a game.
00:07:23So, I look at that game, and I see now you get Porzingis back.
00:07:26They had a small sample size, but it's been a bonus with him in that lineup.
00:07:29I don't see physicality being a problem with the Clippers.
00:07:31I understand they have a big down there,
00:07:33but he's chinsed the venture out to their three-point line and shoot the three.
00:07:36So, I think they'll be able to hang with the physicality with them.
00:07:38So, I'm looking at that matchup as a great matchup for the Golden State Warriors.
00:07:42Also, two guys in Steph and Draymond who have been in every single possible
00:07:46imaginable situation.
00:07:47So, they will be prepared.
00:07:49I know they'll have their team prepared.
00:07:50So, I can't wait for this one.
00:07:52Yeah, it was really cool this week to hear Kawhi Leonard just say,
00:07:55Steph is one of the greatest to play.
00:07:57I cannot take this moment for granted.
00:07:59Tip-off is just ahead.
00:08:00Steph and the Warriors against Kawhi and the Clippers
00:08:02will get you out to the game right after this.
00:08:29This is the NBA Playing on Prime.
00:08:40Good evening from Los Angeles.
00:08:42Welcome to SoFi NBA Playing Tournament on Prime.
00:08:47It's the L.A. Clippers at number nine against the 10th seed,
00:08:51Golden State Warriors.
00:08:53Win or go home.
00:08:56And the Warriors have not had a lot of success, not only in this building,
00:09:01but against the Clippers in Los Angeles.
00:09:05We'll get to that story as we go through the night.
00:09:08Steve Kerr has this starting five, and this is a group, Candace Parker,
00:09:13that has not spent a lot of time in the starting five and on the floor at the same time.
00:09:19Well, this is the starting lineup that has only started one other game
00:09:23as a result of trades, acquiring Porzingis, but also Steph Curry injury.
00:09:28So, Steve Kerr, like he said, there's not a lot of momentum coming into this,
00:09:33but they've got a lot of experience.
00:09:34So, the Clippers at home went 23-18.
00:09:39Their start, 6-21.
00:09:42Incredible finish.
00:09:43Historic in so many ways.
00:09:45Lopez is new, has been starting since he became a Clipper midseason.
00:09:49But Kawhi Leonard, that is the story.
00:09:5134 years of age, the number six score in the NBA, 28 points a game.
00:09:58And the biggest thing is health as well, right?
00:10:00Kawhi played 65 games this year.
00:10:03We are seeing a healthy Kawhi Leonard.
00:10:30And we welcome our new audience.
00:10:31Those of you watching the 76ers and the Magic, welcome to L.A.
00:10:37It's win or go home.
00:10:38With the 10th seed, Golden State Warriors and Steph Curry
00:10:41kicking on the 9th seed, Los Angeles Clippers.
00:10:46Our officials tonight, the crew chief, James Williams.
00:10:50The referee, Ben Taylor.
00:10:52The umpire, Carl Lane.
00:10:54Alternate, John Corbin.
00:10:55And in the replay center for a second consecutive night, Ed Malloy.
00:10:59We just had this crew last night in Phoenix.
00:11:02I didn't see them on the flight.
00:11:03I don't know how they...
00:11:04Well, they fly in private, obviously.
00:11:06Not us.
00:11:06Uh-uh.
00:11:07We took the bus, and it was great.
00:11:09But we're all here.
00:11:10We're all here.
00:11:11Yeah, we're all here.
00:11:12And here we go with Leonard.
00:11:14With Green right there, they'll put some all night.
00:11:16Chris Dunn's got it.
00:11:18Looking down low.
00:11:19Jones couldn't find it.
00:11:20Guy Santos the other way.
00:11:22In full stride.
00:11:23Into the hole.
00:11:25And Guy Santos, especially after signing that extension this year,
00:11:29the Warriors understand how valuable this young man is
00:11:33in getting easy looks, getting out in transition.
00:11:36But the Warriors are better with him on the floor.
00:11:38The numbers show it.
00:11:41They're going to try to get all kinds of screens on Leonard.
00:11:46Because getting him open is huge.
00:11:48Big ISO team.
00:11:49In the corner.
00:11:50The three launch.
00:11:51Dunn can't hit, but Lopez is there to collect.
00:11:53And you do not find Brooke Lopez near the basket very often.
00:11:57But with the Warriors having to get the ball out of Kawhi's hands and Garland's,
00:12:02they're living with Chris Dunn shooting.
00:12:03You're going to have to clean up the glass if you're Lopez.
00:12:06Here's Curry.
00:12:07And a whistle.
00:12:08And a Golden State foul.
00:12:10Down went Jones.
00:12:12Green was over there showing some muscle.
00:12:16And Draymond picking up this early foul, as you see.
00:12:20Because if you're a defender, all you have to do is show effort fighting over the screen.
00:12:27Draymond getting the short end on that stick.
00:12:29I mean, you'd expect the physicality in the playoffs, right?
00:12:33Exactly.
00:12:34It's Garland.
00:12:36And he has been terrific since taking the place.
00:12:40With a shot right there that goes down.
00:12:42On his first offering.
00:12:44Came in the trade.
00:12:45Harden to Cleveland.
00:12:46He comes to L.A.
00:12:48It's green for three.
00:12:50The rebound Leonard out-dueling Santos.
00:12:54And the Clippers, a big ISO team.
00:12:56ISO as much as any team in the league.
00:12:58Three.
00:12:59Lopez no.
00:13:01Rebound.
00:13:02Carlin was right there to scoop it home.
00:13:04And at times, when you're putting in new coverages in the playoffs,
00:13:08and you're rotating,
00:13:09you forget that you're going to have matchups blocking out bigger players.
00:13:14You've got to have to gang rebound in the playoffs.
00:13:17Santos three.
00:13:19And Dunn's got it.
00:13:21Here come the Clippers.
00:13:23In stride.
00:13:25Leonard.
00:13:25Up.
00:13:26Off.
00:13:26Rebound.
00:13:27Foul.
00:13:32So here's Steve Kerr in his 12th year.
00:13:35Has the second highest postseason win percentage.
00:13:39Right in back of, you guessed it, Phil Jackson.
00:13:43At the free throw line will be Kawhi Leonard.
00:13:48On back-to-back possessions almost, Draymond picks up one.
00:13:53And he's guarding Kawhi Leonard, so that could mess with the physicality that he's able to play with.
00:13:57And then on the other end, Steph Curry picks up a questionable call on this end.
00:14:03Curry picks up his first foul.
00:14:05Look at Ty Lue.
00:14:06He's been a championship coach.
00:14:09He's talking to Darius Garland, who had an incredible month of March.
00:14:14But this guy has been the story.
00:14:17He's number 11 in free throw percentage.
00:14:20Lead-wide, 89%.
00:14:22And he hits a couple beauties right there.
00:14:29Golden State has struggled here.
00:14:31They've lost nine in a row to the Clippers in L.A.
00:14:35Curry long shot.
00:14:36Lopez the rebound.
00:14:38Garland will go the other way.
00:14:40And his eye is always looking down court.
00:14:42And he finds Jones for three.
00:14:44Rebound Green.
00:14:46And in the playoffs, it's a game of chess, not checkers.
00:14:49You're not going to be able to guard everybody.
00:14:50Sometimes you have to live with certain players taking threes.
00:14:54And right now, the Clippers are using their defense to fuel their offense right here.
00:14:59Leonard!
00:15:00Wow!
00:15:01What a scoop!
00:15:02And there is a reason why the claw is number four in transition.
00:15:06He's too big, too strong to just stop him with one defender.
00:15:09There's a foul.
00:15:10Foul, Jones bumping Curry, who hits the deck.
00:15:12And a foul called on Garrett Jones.
00:15:16It'll be the first on him.
00:15:18And right here, Kawhi, just too big, too strong.
00:15:21Hands, just bear claws right here.
00:15:24Three defenders.
00:15:25One, two, three, four around him on this finish.
00:15:29Coach Kerr spoke to us about how you cannot guard him with one player.
00:15:33You have to crowd him and even then some because he is just too big, too strong, too athletic.
00:15:40They brought in Gary Payton, and they've taken out Santos.
00:15:45But Jemsky will inbound, so a little change right here, going smaller.
00:15:50Payton's been reliable this season.
00:15:52Here is Persingas bumping into Leonard.
00:15:55Rebound collected by Jones.
00:16:02The Jemsky is now on Leonard, who crawls past him.
00:16:07And you see the crowd that Kawhi Leonard has, which allows a player like Darius Garland to play off of
00:16:15catches, attack, closeouts, and do just that.
00:16:19The Clippers up 12-2 early in this first quarter.
00:16:25Indeed, Kev, it's an intriguing matchup between the lines, headlined by superstars.
00:16:28But let's not forget about the compelling one from the head coaching chair.
00:16:31Of course, the love and respect that is shared between Steve Kerr and Tyronn Lue before the game.
00:16:36And T. Lue telling me, when you go back to those finals days, he said, there's so much respect.
00:16:42He said, when I got my first head coaching job, Steve reached out.
00:16:45We've stayed in touch ever since.
00:16:46He said, Steve's always checked on him in return.
00:16:48He's done the same.
00:16:49And how about this?
00:16:51Ty added, for Steve to give him the opportunity with Team USA, he said it meant everything.
00:16:55Admitting I wasn't good enough to do it as a player.
00:16:57So to do it now as a coach, guys, because of Steve, Ty said, I'll always have love and respect
00:17:02for him.
00:17:03And we know that this respect goes both ways, Kev.
00:17:05Great story.
00:17:06Thank you.
00:17:07Curry missed.
00:17:08Pachemski collects.
00:17:09Three is lost.
00:17:11And right there, that second effort by Gary Payton, the second.
00:17:16One of the top guard rebounders from the offensive end in the league,
00:17:21showing that extra possessions sometimes can build a spark.
00:17:26Here's Leonard wheeling his way into green.
00:17:30And Lopez.
00:17:33Garland, who is three of three.
00:17:35Nice defense by Payton.
00:17:36They've come off and they made the change.
00:17:38Why do you think he made the change with one of his starters early?
00:17:40Well, first and foremost, GP, the second, has playoff experience.
00:17:44He's won championships with the Warriors.
00:17:46And he understands his role is to come in, defend, and get those extra possessions.
00:17:52It's Porzingis.
00:17:53He was patient with his shot.
00:17:55And we understand that the playoffs are a game of runs, right?
00:17:58Clippers came out, imposed their will early.
00:18:01Warriors settling, playing a little chess, getting their matchups right,
00:18:04and then getting back into this game.
00:18:07Wrong shot.
00:18:09Once right there.
00:18:10Missed by Leonard.
00:18:12And the Warriors, who've hit their last two, another three.
00:18:15Pachemski, no.
00:18:16Leonard, the rebound.
00:18:2015 consecutive seasons for the Clippers, with a record of 500 or better.
00:18:25A try by Garland.
00:18:26Wow, is he off to a hot start.
00:18:28Puts it up and in four to five.
00:18:30And Garland, we have seen him do that so many times.
00:18:33Obviously, a threat from three, but gets to the basket with his quickness.
00:18:38Here comes Porzingis.
00:18:40He's got the mismatch on Garland, the double by Dunn, and outside Green with a three.
00:18:47And that is a good sign for the Warriors.
00:18:51Dream on Green knocking down threes.
00:18:57Garland again.
00:18:59With Lopez at the free throw line.
00:19:02Pachemski the rebound.
00:19:07Warriors on the road, went 15 and 26.
00:19:10They go inside, and they get the two.
00:19:13They're hitting from both ends, and that's going to force Lew to call a timeout.
00:19:16The Warriors back in it.
00:19:18Yes, T. Lew unhappy with his team, able to get back in transition.
00:19:23Golden State, after that timeout, on a 10-2 run.
00:19:29Golden State had a terrific start.
00:19:31Six games over .500, but look at where the Clippers were.
00:19:34They were buried in the West.
00:19:36And then we had some injuries.
00:19:38Big ones.
00:19:39Butler was gone with an ACL.
00:19:41Curry missing 27.
00:19:42But Kawhi was healthy, and he was going at it hard.
00:19:46And that is what sparked the Clippers' comeback, is the health of Kawhi Leonard.
00:19:53I mean, the turnaround has been phenomenal on this season.
00:19:55On the other side, in the contrast, Steph Curry, top five offense with him on the court.
00:20:00Bottom five offense with him off the court.
00:20:03And so, we've seen health as well.
00:20:06We have a look at both of these superstars out here right now, and we'll see who comes out victorious.
00:20:12I guess we can't say enough about the trades that both teams made.
00:20:16They both felt they got better where they needed to improve.
00:20:19Well, if you look on one side, both teams coming in with championship aspirations.
00:20:24One side, Jimmy Butler.
00:20:26You saw what they did last year from playing to beating the number two team in Houston.
00:20:31And to be honest with you, if that series doesn't go to game seven, they might take out Minnesota.
00:20:36And the Clippers, after it rocked the NBA with James Harden in that trade, getting somebody like Garland to come
00:20:44in and be able to be a perfect fit alongside Kawhi Leonard has proved healthy for the Clippers.
00:20:51A little full-court trash here by Golden State.
00:20:54John Collins has come in.
00:20:56Bulldozing is way inside is Leonard.
00:20:58Santos tried to get the ball.
00:21:00He does.
00:21:00And Curry the other way.
00:21:02And Santos, who started, is back in the game.
00:21:06DeAnthony Melton is coming for the first time.
00:21:09Nice spin.
00:21:10Twirling for two.
00:21:12He's Santos.
00:21:13And a 12-2 Warrior run.
00:21:16And that's not something we see a lot.
00:21:18Guys getting in the post, Kevin.
00:21:21Winners this team loves to get in the post.
00:21:24The Clippers, another turnover.
00:21:26Melton on the move.
00:21:27Pajemski on the wing.
00:21:29Curry is trailing.
00:21:30Sets.
00:21:30Fires the three.
00:21:32It's a rebound, Collins.
00:21:34And Golden State couldn't get that one to go down.
00:21:36But the Golden State defense has made the biggest adjustment.
00:21:39They're now blitzing on Garland with hand pressure.
00:21:43They're forcing him to throw over the top.
00:21:46And as a result, the Clippers aren't setting their defense.
00:21:49They're not getting their matchups.
00:21:50And Darius Garland is caught on Guy Santos, defending him in the paint.
00:21:56Pajemski picks up his first.
00:21:57He'll check out.
00:21:58First time we see Al Horford coming in.
00:22:00So Steve is really trying to maneuver some pieces here as he gets a feel for what might work against
00:22:06the Clippers.
00:22:07Yes, Al Horford with that playoff experience.
00:22:09But let's not forget, Matherin as John Collins gets the nice roll to go.
00:22:16These are two guys coming in and off the bench that would be starters on a lot of teams.
00:22:20They've taken their role to another level for the Clippers.
00:22:23Curry, three.
00:22:24And Collins was right there.
00:22:26And Collins looked over.
00:22:27He's kind of shook his head.
00:22:28I don't blame him.
00:22:29We all do.
00:22:30Good defense, better offense.
00:22:32Benedict Matherin, as Candace just said, in the game.
00:22:35Jones, a three.
00:22:37And again, the Warriors are living with Jones Jr. knocking down threes.
00:22:42They're putting two on the ball and forcing Kawhi to pass out of the double.
00:22:4710-point lead for the Clippers is gone.
00:22:50Golden State on tap.
00:22:51Curry, the handle, the drive, the lean, the foul.
00:22:55No!
00:22:55Hits the deck.
00:22:56No call made.
00:22:57Here comes Leonard.
00:22:59Backed away by Green.
00:23:00Punched it away.
00:23:0119 on the clock.
00:23:02And the inbound will come from L.A.
00:23:05Curry took a beating.
00:23:08John Collins with the nice step up.
00:23:10They're putting two on the ball.
00:23:12I sound like a broken record against Darius Garland.
00:23:14He's getting off the ball early and gets rewarded.
00:23:17And then right here, we call this dancing, dancing, dancing.
00:23:20We've seen that.
00:23:21How many times have we seen that?
00:23:22Wow.
00:23:23And his footwork, right?
00:23:25Just outstanding.
00:23:26Probably a lot more in the play end than Steph would like.
00:23:29Right.
00:23:29But we've seen that a lot.
00:23:31Collins gets his own miss.
00:23:34John Collins coming in, making an impact.
00:23:37He is having an extra efficient season this year.
00:23:41Al Hartford!
00:23:44How can a man that old get that high?
00:23:47But that time he did.
00:23:48The champion is now playing with the Warriors.
00:23:51He's missed some time.
00:23:52Now he's back.
00:23:54And he comes at the perfect time.
00:23:55Nathlin sets up.
00:23:57Collins.
00:23:58Jones, who's not been afraid to fire shots to this one.
00:24:03With Curry defending Benedict Matherin.
00:24:06Rebound.
00:24:07DeAnthony Melton with a whistle down low.
00:24:13There's Horford.
00:24:14And Al Horford.
00:24:16His experience winning a championship with the Boston Celtics.
00:24:21Brought here to try to continue the dynasty.
00:24:23I kind of take a little offense you calling him old.
00:24:25I'm the same age as he is.
00:24:27He's 39.
00:24:28I'm sitting over here and he's still playing.
00:24:30So I guess we can go with that.
00:24:32He's the oldest player in Warriors history.
00:24:34But boy, does he look terrific.
00:24:36He's taking care of his body.
00:24:37He's so smart.
00:24:39Sees the floor.
00:24:39A great addition for this team.
00:24:43If he can just stay healthy.
00:24:44And he's back and playing tonight.
00:24:46Leonard over Green.
00:24:48And that is just a robot right there.
00:24:52Kawhi doesn't mess around.
00:24:53Doesn't do a lot of east-west dribbling.
00:24:56Just north-south into your pull-up.
00:25:01Melton's got it and fires the three.
00:25:04It's a Collins rebound.
00:25:05The outlet to Kawhi.
00:25:07The running here.
00:25:08And you get the wall that Golden State built around Kawhi to try to keep him from going to the
00:25:15basket.
00:25:15That's what it's going to take.
00:25:16And he still almost knocked down the three.
00:25:18Here's Horford.
00:25:19And Melton.
00:25:21With a screen and a defensive switch.
00:25:23And Horford down low.
00:25:25He likes this matchup against Jones.
00:25:29There's a defensive three.
00:25:35Horford has come out with a nice gate and move.
00:25:40And here is Pajemski at the line on the call against the Clipper D.
00:25:45And Horford making an impact.
00:25:48Understanding that when you're old.
00:25:50We'll call it seasoned.
00:25:51When you're a seasoned vet.
00:25:52That is better.
00:25:53You wait for times like this.
00:25:56Yeah.
00:25:56You wait for the playoffs to roll around.
00:25:59And you understand what it takes.
00:26:00That it's plays like this in the first quarter.
00:26:03That overall impact the game in the fourth.
00:26:07Here's the wall that has been the talk of the NBA since this building went up a couple years ago.
00:26:14It is loud.
00:26:17And imposing.
00:26:18But a terrific venue.
00:26:20Kobe Sanders has checked in.
00:26:23And here's a nice athletic catch by Porzingis.
00:26:26He'll work on Mathurin.
00:26:28And I'm interested to know where Golden State goes without Steph Curry on the floor.
00:26:32It's a miss by Horford.
00:26:34It's a rebound by Benedict Mathurin.
00:26:36The former Indiana Pacer.
00:26:38And Jordan Miller on the floor.
00:26:40He is checked in.
00:26:41So both teams go into their bench.
00:26:45And here is not a good sign.
00:26:49As Curry right off the bat to the locker room.
00:26:53We'll try to get an update with Allie.
00:26:55And right here.
00:26:56Golden State going to box in one.
00:26:59The one on Kawhi.
00:27:03As Sanders knocks down the three.
00:27:07There's a whistle.
00:27:08Sanders is trying to wrestle down low with Porzingis.
00:27:11That is not an easy chore.
00:27:13Sanders the rookie in a late second round pick out of Nevada.
00:27:16He picks up his first.
00:27:182.25 to go here in the first quarter.
00:27:22With the Clippers shooting 50%.
00:27:24And the Warriors shooting 44% with the inbound coming from Gary Payton.
00:27:32Melton driving on Collins.
00:27:34Lost the ball.
00:27:35Pick-packeted on the play by Jordan Miller.
00:27:38On the wing.
00:27:39Mathurin for three.
00:27:41Caught inside.
00:27:42Miller.
00:27:43Porzingis stuffs him.
00:27:44He erases the shot.
00:27:45But Sanders gets it.
00:27:47Clippers in control.
00:27:48The three.
00:27:48Good.
00:27:49Miller knocks it in.
00:27:51And both Miller and Sanders making an impact midway through this season.
00:27:57Smart move.
00:27:58Pajenski leaning into the off-balance defense of Jordan Miller.
00:28:02Yes.
00:28:02Jordan Miller.
00:28:03A mistake on that play.
00:28:05But his impact has been huge on this Clippers team throughout this season.
00:28:09And you talk about starting as a two-way player.
00:28:13Sanders smartly finding his running mate Miller in the corner.
00:28:20Clippers shoot 41% from three in the corner.
00:28:25Here's Brandon Pajenski.
00:28:26Third-year player out of Santa Clara.
00:28:29First-round pick who has improved his scoring each season from 9 to 12.
00:28:34And this year 14 points a game.
00:28:37An 80% free throw shooter.
00:28:40Will the waves bother him?
00:28:41Uh-uh.
00:28:42Let's take a look at the upcoming SoFi play-in tournament schedule.
00:28:45And Friday.
00:28:46The league is dark tomorrow.
00:28:48So Friday on Prime.
00:28:49It continues with the Hornets in Orlando.
00:28:53And the winner tonight will be in Phoenix against the Suns who watched last night.
00:28:57To the Portland Trailblazers who are advancing to the playoffs for the first time in about five years.
00:29:03Oh, my God.
00:29:04Pajenski drops the anvil.
00:29:06Pura shoots in and slams it home.
00:29:09And the entire Golden State Warrior bench got up for that one.
00:29:15Oh, they double Sanders in backcourt.
00:29:17And Matherin will there.
00:29:18The safety valve with Kawhi against Pajenski.
00:29:22Right here, Warriors going to a jump defense right here.
00:29:25Take the ball out of your playmaker's hands.
00:29:28Then Matherin said, I'm true to this.
00:29:30Not new to this, playing in the finals last year.
00:29:33Had some big games.
00:29:34We know he's a player that can really get going.
00:29:37Crafty move.
00:29:38John Lowe.
00:29:39Matherin.
00:29:41It's Melton on top.
00:29:42And Sanders in the way.
00:29:44And Przingis will get it.
00:29:45And Matherin is right there.
00:29:48Shot clock down to five.
00:29:51Przingis.
00:29:51Pajenski.
00:29:52The three.
00:29:55Rebound.
00:29:55Snared by Leonard.
00:29:57And a minute to go.
00:29:58Leonard's got four rebounds already.
00:30:00The spin on Melton.
00:30:02The drive.
00:30:03And the foul.
00:30:04No word yet on Curry, who we just saw moments ago walking to the locker room.
00:30:11Poor Zingis right there.
00:30:13Nobody blocks him out.
00:30:14A missed free throw.
00:30:16The unicorn reminding us why he's called the unicorn.
00:30:21Unbelievable.
00:30:24Here we go with the inbound coming from Sanders.
00:30:30Leonard, and he'll go against Peyton and Matherin will tee up a triple.
00:30:39And Matherin working his way into this game.
00:30:42All sometimes you need as a scorer is to see one go down.
00:30:45They're going to bring a lot of attention.
00:30:46I love Matherin at that high side so that Kawhi has an outlet for a three-point shooter.
00:30:53Each team, three of 11 shooting from distance from three-point territory.
00:30:57It's Pajenski.
00:31:00Trying to maneuver.
00:31:01Finds a gap.
00:31:02Two-point shot.
00:31:03Rebound Collins.
00:31:06Difference of about three-and-a-half seconds here.
00:31:09Game clock, shot clock.
00:31:12Right here, Kawhi Leonard.
00:31:15Knows he's going to get a lot of attention.
00:31:20Would you call jump defense a minute ago?
00:31:22Jump defense.
00:31:23Look how many Warriors players are around Kawhi Leonard on that jump shot.
00:31:29High pass.
00:31:30They couldn't convert.
00:31:31Prezengas falls.
00:31:32Shot no good.
00:31:33Quarter is closed.
00:31:35And Prezengas will be helped out.
00:31:40The Warriors went by 10.
00:31:42Warriors, or rather the Warriors trailed by 10.
00:31:46Then led by 2.
00:31:47In the first quarter, that had a couple ties.
00:31:50And five lead changes.
00:31:52You're watching the SoFi NBA play.
00:31:55The Steph Curry story.
00:31:56Last we saw, he was going to the locker room.
00:31:58One thing I've learned, Kev, is when 30 speaks, you listen.
00:32:01And this is good news for the Warriors.
00:32:02Steph is back on the bench.
00:32:03As you see, I saw him in the hallway as he was walking back to the floor, walking normal.
00:32:08And then with a little chuckle, he saw me and he said, oh, don't worry about me.
00:32:11I'm good.
00:32:12And Ali, is there any kind of heating pad on that knee that's been causing him problems?
00:32:17Nothing at all.
00:32:17He was just walking back to the floor per normal, per usual.
00:32:21And again, I think the smile, the chuckle was a good sign.
00:32:23All right, we thank you for that.
00:32:25Here's Pajemski.
00:32:26Down low, Santos.
00:32:28Melton out there.
00:32:29Porzingis in the corner.
00:32:30Pajemski hoisting a three.
00:32:32Ooh, in and outs with a Collins rebound.
00:32:34That did everything but go down.
00:32:37Well-executed play by the Warriors coming out.
00:32:39A little confusion on that switch by the Clippers.
00:32:42By the way, Curry started the one of five.
00:32:44One of three from three.
00:32:47And a drive and a fall right there by the rookie Sanders as he was trying to cut.
00:32:54And a foul is called.
00:32:55We're just into the second quarter.
00:32:57Porzingis picks up his first, Candace.
00:33:00Yeah, Porzingis being asked to guard a smaller Sanders and off of attacking the closeout.
00:33:09It's tripped up a bit.
00:33:15And the Warriors in almost like a 1-3-1 jump defense.
00:33:18That has been the story of taking the ball out of the hands of Darius Garland and Kawhi Leonard.
00:33:25But with neither on the floor, they're causing a bit of confusion for the Clippers' offense.
00:33:30Sometimes when you come down, you don't know, zone man, what offense you're running.
00:33:34They can think, hesitate.
00:33:36Melton driving through traffic and was fouled.
00:33:40Belton off the bench again.
00:33:43He tore his ACL, you may recall, in 2024 November.
00:33:48Missed the rest of that season, but he's come back and now he's had a career high and points scored
00:33:53this year.
00:33:54So gratifying to see 12 points a game.
00:33:57Cowan's on him now.
00:33:59Minute gone in the second.
00:34:00Takes it to the rack.
00:34:03Well, you talk about his impact.
00:34:07Melton has won some games for this team.
00:34:10Played the primary ball handler when Steph Curry was out.
00:34:13So, he's comfortable in this role they're asking to play early in the second.
00:34:18It's Sanders for three.
00:34:20Rebound torn down by Melton.
00:34:23Bench points.
00:34:24Clippers 15-4.
00:34:26It's Brzezinski in trouble.
00:34:28Brzezinski is found and thrives for two.
00:34:31And right there, throwing it up, attacking the closeout.
00:34:35The playoffs are going to be filled with broken plays.
00:34:38Good job by Brzezinski not settling for a three-point shot.
00:34:42I love that saying, broken plays.
00:34:44Collins, three.
00:34:45Rebound Melton.
00:34:47Foul called.
00:34:48It's on Golden State.
00:34:52With 10.15 to go.
00:34:54As we take a look at tonight's live update presented by FanDuel and the Coronats.
00:35:01As Gary Payton just picked up his first.
00:35:06Curry's not come back.
00:35:07There is a restriction.
00:35:09The minutes thing is real.
00:35:10It's about 30 minutes right now.
00:35:11If they win and go on, they'll increase it.
00:35:14But right now, we're told about 30.
00:35:16Athletic catch by Collins.
00:35:18And a throwaway on the play.
00:35:20Melton got it.
00:35:21Santos has it.
00:35:24Behind the bat.
00:35:25The drive and the man through him to lean in for two.
00:35:28Crafty move inside.
00:35:30And Guy Santos is putting on a show.
00:35:34Averaging 16 points per game without Steph in those 27 points.
00:35:39It's just earned him a big role here.
00:35:41Oh, Brzezinski erases the shot.
00:35:44Collins hits the deck.
00:35:45That is Melton the other way.
00:35:48And Payton driving hard.
00:35:50Right to the hole.
00:35:51Got it.
00:35:52Foul.
00:35:52Count it.
00:35:54He had one thing on his mind and one thing only.
00:35:57And he takes it in for the deuce.
00:36:00We understand the star power that we have in this game.
00:36:04But really, it is the others that are going to make the difference.
00:36:08The extra plays.
00:36:10Porzingis, that's the second block on the night at the rim.
00:36:14Those possessions matter in a high stakes game like this.
00:36:18He seems to fit well.
00:36:20We know that Curry really likes him.
00:36:22And Payton is at the line.
00:36:2565% free throw shooter.
00:36:29Fair high in scoring this season.
00:36:31Over seven after in the rebound.
00:36:33And that is the third Warriors.
00:36:35Oh, look at the diving.
00:36:36Vacuumed in.
00:36:37Steel right there.
00:36:39Great hustle by Payton.
00:36:40Pejenski driving hard.
00:36:42And looking underneath.
00:36:44On the wing.
00:36:45On top.
00:36:46Porzingis three.
00:36:47Caught.
00:36:48How about the Warriors coming back twice from big time deficits.
00:36:54An 11-0 run since Leonard sat down.
00:36:58Taking advantage of it.
00:36:59Yes, everyone making a difference here for this Warriors squad.
00:37:03T-Loo saying a key to the game.
00:37:04Don't turn the ball over.
00:37:07Well, they have six.
00:37:08And guess what?
00:37:09Golden State has capitalized on all six of those turnovers.

00:37:29With all of Amor Candace Parker.
00:37:31On our sideline, Allie Clifton, Kevin Harlan.
00:37:34You can see the effect of the claw.
00:37:38Well, Garland checking back in.
00:37:40But the claw on the defensive end.
00:37:42These are field goals allowed by the Clippers.
00:37:44Five of six with Kawhi off the court to start that second quarter.
00:37:48Warriors 11-0.
00:37:50Let's talk about the impact on this end.
00:37:52There's been confusion on the offensive end.
00:37:54The Warriors throwing the kitchen sink.
00:37:56The junk kitchen sink at the Clippers trying to cause some confusion.
00:38:000-3 to start the quarter for the Clippers.
00:38:03And at the line, Matherin.
00:38:05Leaping rebound inside, Milton.
00:38:08Here come the Golden State Warriors.
00:38:11Points off turnovers this quarter.
00:38:13Seven zip, nine zip.
00:38:15Uh-oh, and it looked like Przingis, did he just twist an ankle?
00:38:18It looked like he just twisted the ankle after that dime that he threw Milton.
00:38:28It's Garland back in the game.
00:38:29Great start for him.
00:38:31Four of four so far.
00:38:32That's a three.
00:38:34That's right down the hatch.
00:38:36It's Dunn connecting.
00:38:37And Chris Dunn silences the run and the momentum of Golden State hitting a big three.
00:38:45Curry's not come back in since he left.
00:38:47Peyton will drive hard to the hole.
00:38:49Matherin was right there with the defense.
00:38:51Dunn the other way.
00:38:53Cross court.
00:38:54Garland corner.
00:38:55Triple.
00:38:56Book it.
00:38:59And right there, a heads-up play by Chris Dunn.
00:39:02Find Garland, your shooter, in the corner.
00:39:07Darius already making an impact with his minutes early in the second quarter.
00:39:11Milton will take it in, trying to shove his way into the backpedal in the defense of Garland
00:39:15and a foul called with four minutes gone here in the second.
00:39:20Right here, you see Porzingis.
00:39:24Oh, what happened?
00:39:28It wasn't an ankle.
00:39:30I thought it was initially.
00:39:31The way he was kind of moving the leg.
00:39:32He's going to check out.
00:39:34And they're going to go back to Horford, Curry, and Green checking in.
00:39:38Milton at the line.
00:39:39Here comes Leonard.
00:39:40Here comes Jones for the Clippers.
00:39:43As Matherin will check out along with Jordan Miller.
00:39:47Well, early in this game, we understand how both teams like to play, right?
00:39:53Warriors love pace, space, movement, three-point shots.
00:39:57Well, the Warriors have gone blue-collar.
00:39:59They're driving the ball.
00:40:00They're getting to the paint, and they're doing it through the others.
00:40:03The Clippers have to get back to making quick decisions
00:40:06because you know that Leonard is going to get a lot of attention.
00:40:11Curry's played eight minutes.
00:40:12He's back in the game.
00:40:13Here's some grappling outside the lane.
00:40:18And that's going to go on Peyton for the second time.
00:40:27Since just before Christmas,
00:40:29the Clippers have the third-best record in the Western Conference.
00:40:33It was the Spurs, the Thunder, and then L.A.
00:40:36What a comeback after the 6-21 start to the season.
00:40:40Leonard with green all over him.
00:40:43Peyton is on Garland.
00:40:45Shot clock is at three.
00:40:47Inside, Lopez three.
00:40:49Nice pass.
00:40:50Good find.
00:40:52Right there, Leonard getting it to Garland,
00:40:54who is a great playmaker going downhill.
00:40:58Here's a foul.
00:41:00It's on Chris Dunn.
00:41:03He picks up his first.
00:41:06And the referees have been calling the physicality off-ball action early in this game on both sides.
00:41:22It's Curry off the screen, makes the move, kicks on the win.
00:41:27And driving hard once again to the hole.
00:41:30Melton can't get it.
00:41:31Lopez will tap it.
00:41:32Leonard has it.
00:41:33It's Garland on the side.
00:41:36Met by Horford.
00:41:37Lopez, Horford.
00:41:43Big man.
00:41:47Melton can't get it.
00:41:49Down he went.
00:41:50Foul called.
00:41:52If that's Jones.
00:41:54Is that three?
00:41:55Derrick Jones.
00:41:57Derrick Jones picked up that foul.
00:41:58Okay, I thought it was on Chris Dunn.
00:42:00It is the second on Jones.
00:42:03Five minutes gone in the second.
00:42:07And right here with seven minutes left in the second quarter, the Warriors will go to the free throw line
00:42:15for the rest of the corner.
00:42:19Either Steph Curry or Kawhi Leonard will be eliminated from a playoff spot if they lose tonight.
00:42:26At the line is Peyton.
00:42:28They went all in.
00:42:29They went too far.
00:42:30And now they're in way over their hands.
00:42:33Mark Wahlberg, Paul Walderhauser, balls up.
00:42:38A new original movie, only on prime video.
00:42:44They face the odds.
00:42:46They clawed their way back out of the hole.
00:42:48And here they are.
00:42:49I feel like you could do a voiceover for that.
00:42:52Evan?
00:42:53There's a nice ring to it.
00:42:55Not enough sleep.
00:42:57Here comes Dunn.
00:43:01Leonard so far.
00:43:03Two assists.
00:43:04Green is on him.
00:43:07Chipping away, Leonard.
00:43:08Shot clock at five.
00:43:10Lopez, a fake.
00:43:12He'll fire.
00:43:13The 3-0.
00:43:14The rebound pulled in inside by Gary Payton.
00:43:17And Draymond's stats are not gaudy this year, right?
00:43:20But his impact on the defensive end is undeniable on that.
00:43:24Getting over a ball screen.
00:43:26Forcing Kawhi to the left hand.
00:43:27And then making him pick it up.
00:43:29Warriors in the second quarter.
00:43:30Six and nine.
00:43:31Ball deflected out of play.
00:43:32Shot clock at eight.
00:43:33Warriors ball.
00:43:36Santos will check back in.
00:43:38Payton will leave.
00:43:40They've had two days of practice.
00:43:42We talked about this earlier.
00:43:43They played here against the Clippers.
00:43:45And decided not to go back to the Bay Area.
00:43:46But to stay here in Los Angeles.
00:43:48Two terrific days of practice.
00:43:50Good feet.
00:43:51Green.
00:43:51The cutting Santos.
00:43:52But he could not converge.
00:43:54And Garland the other way.
00:43:55Pushing to Dunn.
00:43:56To the hole.
00:44:00And a steal.
00:44:01Jones.
00:44:02Leonard.
00:44:05The nifty move on Santos.
00:44:07And the two.
00:44:09Timeout.
00:44:15Leonard just makes things happen.
00:44:17Leonard just makes things look easy.
00:44:21There's a calm with the Clippers.
00:44:23When the claw is on the floor.
00:44:25He has eight points early.
00:44:28Time is brought to you by SoFi.
00:44:30The official bank of the NBA.
00:44:32Get your money right.
00:44:34And by CarMax.
00:44:37Want to drive?
00:44:39Well, back in 2014, game seven, the Clippers defeated Golden State.
00:44:47We see now what has happened since.
00:44:51The best winning percentage for this Golden State team.
00:44:56Right in back of the Boston Celtics.
00:44:59But Golden State with the four titles.
00:45:02And the same core there.
00:45:04Kerr, Green, Curry.
00:45:06Clippers won that series back in 2014.
00:45:09Four games, three.
00:45:11Over Golden State.
00:45:13Mark Jackson will be let go.
00:45:14Later that May.
00:45:16Kerr hired shortly after that in May.
00:45:18The rest is in history.
00:45:20Good cut.
00:45:21Santos.
00:45:21What a feed by Tremont Green.
00:45:24And right there, as a player, you get confidence out of timeouts when your coach draws up a play.
00:45:30And you come out and execute it perfectly.
00:45:32Nice slip cut.
00:45:34Garland.
00:45:34The efficiency.
00:45:35The drive into Pajoski.
00:45:36Who grabs the miss.
00:45:40It's Green underneath.
00:45:41The ball deflected.
00:45:42Slow developing.
00:45:43But there he was and got it to go.
00:45:45And Kevin, we talk about gravity.
00:45:46Did you see that on that play?
00:45:48Two Clippers players going to Steph Curry 30 feet from the basket and leaves a wide open Draymond Green.
00:45:55So even when he didn't have the ball, he distorts the view.
00:45:59In the corner, the drive-by dunk.
00:46:01The cutting.
00:46:03Kawhi Leonard.
00:46:04A lot of traffic.
00:46:05Got it.
00:46:05Fouled.
00:46:06He went into a nest of defenders and found the two.
00:46:09That sound like a broken record.
00:46:12Too big.
00:46:13Too strong.
00:46:14Right here.
00:46:16A drive.
00:46:17Smart.
00:46:1845 cut.
00:46:19Two defenders.
00:46:23Kawhi Leonard.
00:46:24A healthy Kawhi Leonard.
00:46:26We are being reminded of just how good this guy is.
00:46:32Oldest player at 34 to register a career high.
00:46:37And you see the most in ones.
00:46:40And the Clippers right at the top of that list.
00:46:43Leonard, when he's in tonight, plus 12.
00:46:46When he's been out, minus eight.
00:46:50His reach on both ends of the floor, undeniable.
00:46:54Undeniable.
00:46:55Here is Curry behind the back.
00:46:56What a move.
00:46:57Kicks it on the wing.
00:46:58Port from three.
00:47:00Pajemski keeps it alive with a volleyball move.
00:47:02Green.
00:47:03Curry.
00:47:03Three.
00:47:04Whistle.
00:47:06That is a foul.
00:47:09Santos was trying to give him space.
00:47:12Succeeded.
00:47:12But they caught him.
00:47:13And he draws the foul.
00:47:15And Santos picks up number one.
00:47:18Right here.
00:47:19Sometimes again.
00:47:20That's number two.
00:47:22With Jones just fighting with the extra effort.
00:47:26To get the refs to notice the moving screen.
00:47:30Kawhi Leonard.
00:47:31Lopez couldn't get it.
00:47:32Dunn does.
00:47:33Inside.
00:47:33Jones!
00:47:35Hammers it home.
00:47:37The lead is six.
00:47:41Curry again.
00:47:43Got the screen.
00:47:44Switch at D.
00:47:45Garland is there.
00:47:46He's pesky.
00:47:49The probing Curry.
00:47:52Pajemski.
00:47:53And a Hartford three.
00:47:56It's a Santos.
00:47:57Retrieval inside.
00:47:59Knocked off his horse.
00:48:00It's off of the Clippers.
00:48:02Eleven on the clock.
00:48:07Clippers right here.
00:48:09Kawhi.
00:48:09A rare miss.
00:48:11Dunn.
00:48:11I'm telling you.
00:48:12I'm telling you.
00:48:12These extra effort plays.
00:48:18And another moving screen.
00:48:21On Draymond Green.
00:48:21Shutting these screens.
00:48:22And trying to free up Curry, right?
00:48:25Right here.
00:48:26But you also have to give credit to Jones Jr.
00:48:30You run through a screen like that.
00:48:33And the screener catches you.
00:48:35You're going to get more calls than you're not.
00:48:38Leonard's got 11.
00:48:39Curry's got three.
00:48:40They go inside to Dunn.
00:48:43And the rebound by Horford.
00:48:48Curry accelerates into Jones.
00:48:50Again behind the back.
00:48:51Look at the handle.
00:48:52Look at the drive.
00:48:52The shot is away.
00:48:54Leonard the rebound.
00:48:55He's got five.
00:48:56Great defense by Jones.
00:49:02Leonard on balance.
00:49:03Three.
00:49:04No.
00:49:04Rebound.
00:49:05Santos.
00:49:06Bad pass.
00:49:07The outlet picked off by Dunn.
00:49:09It's Garland.
00:49:11And in the corner, Jones.
00:49:13A three.
00:49:33So they're crashing.
00:49:34We've got to hit bodies.
00:49:35And then at this end, let's us be crashing, too.
00:49:38Let's get some offensive boards second chance.
00:49:40All right.
00:49:41Great job, Drake.
00:49:42Great defense.
00:49:43Way to go, Allen.
00:49:44Defense looks great down there.
00:49:47Keep making them take tough shots.
00:49:49Keep defending without fouling.
00:49:52Second chance points have been a big story for the Clippers so far.
00:49:56Plus eight right there.
00:49:58And again, the winner here advances to another game to try to get in the playoffs.
00:50:03But the loser here is done for the season.
00:50:06It's an elimination game.
00:50:07The Suns waiting back in Arizona to take out the winner here tonight.
00:50:12The Clippers right now on an 8-0 run.
00:50:16As the game is rocked back and forth.
00:50:19With Steve and Draymond Green.
00:50:23Oh, there's a technical foul on Golden State.
00:50:27But I'm not sure who.
00:50:29If I'm a guesser, I'm going to say it may be Draymond Green.
00:50:35If I were to guess.
00:50:37Yep.
00:50:39And here's Leonard at the line, 89%.
00:50:44During that timeout, Draymond Green gave every single referee an earful.
00:50:51And I think that was the last straw.
00:50:55But sometimes a technical like that can get your team going.
00:51:01Well, the Warriors have lost nine consecutive games in Los Angeles to the Clippers.
00:51:09They've never won in this building, which has been over in a couple years.
00:51:12Curry, Green, the fake, lost it, kicks.
00:51:15Paczynski, triple.
00:51:19They needed that.
00:51:21To counter the team, to try to find some momentum, Garland's got it here.
00:51:25Well, the Warriors upset after that timeout of the moving screens that had been called in that second quarter.
00:51:32Coming out, executing that play, getting a nice wide open three.
00:51:35Garland's got 11.
00:51:36Paczynski is at him right now.
00:51:38Chiseling his way inside.
00:51:40Rebound.
00:51:41Prusengas back in the game.
00:51:42Paczynski on the move.
00:51:43Lopez will follow.
00:51:46They swing it around.
00:51:47Curry, three.
00:51:48Got it.
00:51:51You never know when the fuse is going to be lit.
00:51:54But you saw him confidently walk back.
00:51:56Maybe there.
00:51:57Here's Jones.
00:51:58Santos will draw the foul.
00:51:59Jones on the deck.
00:52:00And holding on to his right ankle.
00:52:07Santos, number two.
00:52:09In a four-point game with two and a half in the half.
00:52:19Jones, making an impact on the defensive end, guarding Steph Curry on one end.
00:52:27Right here, goes down, grabbing that right ankle.
00:52:35Right ankle here.
00:52:37Had a right knee sprain earlier in the season.
00:52:41And that's the wrap on that right leg.
00:52:44He'll be at this right right now.
00:52:50Let's play for six teams.
00:52:51The undrafted player out of UNLV.
00:52:54And a former Dung champion.
00:53:02So this team, when they got off to that, Candace, rugged start, a 6-21.
00:53:09And they were climbing back.
00:53:11And they had made, they had won 13-16.
00:53:14But when the deadline came, they made a move.
00:53:16And it was a big one, sending Harden to Cleveland and getting Darius Garland.
00:53:20Yes, and a trade that I think shocked the NBA a little bit.
00:53:25Obviously, Garland being with Cleveland, having success there.
00:53:30But in a way, coming here, making his impact.
00:53:33Numbers look the same, right?
00:53:35But with Garland on the floor, they are better.
00:53:38They are 13-6 with him in the lineup.
00:53:416-8 without.
00:53:42Santos is out.
00:53:46Payton is in, crumbling is Curry, and a whistle.
00:53:50And the Warriors have just put their heads down and gone to the basket and been rewarded.
00:54:00Darius Garland picks up his second, and Curry will be at the line.
00:54:04The number one free-throw shooter, Steph Curry, in the NBA.
00:54:08With a look at Ty Lue.
00:54:1148-year-old player with Nebraska.
00:54:14College basketball, NBA, Lakers, championship player.
00:54:19Championship coach, Curry at the stripe.
00:54:21Who will win to get in at the NBA app?
00:54:27To tap and watch, play in tournament games, watch.
00:54:29Track the waiters' bracket and go behind the scenes in the moments, champ.
00:54:34Download the NBA app today.
00:54:38Kevin, every year when April rolls around, the NBA playoffs, there's nothing like it.
00:54:44There is nothing like it.
00:54:46Last night's game in Phoenix, Candice.
00:54:48This energy.
00:54:49Tense and gritty and skillfully played and just a joy.
00:54:54And tonight, we have that same intensity.
00:54:58Garland, three over Green.
00:55:01Porzingis, the rebound.
00:55:04And Porzingis.
00:55:08Friday in San Fernando, had a career-high 30.
00:55:10Curry got the screen, the three.
00:55:12Oh, Porzingis again!
00:55:15Uncovered, untouched, and hammers it home.
00:55:18And Porzingis smiling towards the Warriors bench.
00:55:22That's two tip dunks in one half.
00:55:26They like him.
00:55:29It's Matherin.
00:55:32This is a three with Pochomsky's defense.
00:55:35Benedict Matherin nails the train.
00:55:40Matherin leading the NBA since being acquired in the trade and points off the bench, but has been slow after
00:55:47his injury.
00:55:49Getting back looks pretty good.
00:55:51One of the best assist teams in the league, Golden State.
00:55:54Boy, that ball was going sideline to sideline.
00:55:56Pochomsky bouncing around like a pinball inside that lane.
00:56:00Bang.
00:56:02Right here.
00:56:02As you see another put-back dunk second time, we've seen him do it tonight.
00:56:05And Porzingis only playing three games with Steph Curry thus far.
00:56:11Making his impact, efficient, four of five, nine points.
00:56:17Matherin picked up the second foul.
00:56:19And Pochomsky is at the free throw line again.
00:56:25The Warriors this season use 43 different starting lineups.
00:56:30In tonight's lineup, as the first one goes in, they had not used very often.
00:56:38There is definitely not, again.
00:56:40There's won a couple times, right?
00:56:41Steve Kerr emphasized there's not a lot of momentum.
00:56:44Losing seven of eight coming into this.
00:56:46Getting Steph Curry back for the last four or five games.
00:56:50But they hope that experience outweighs that momentum.
00:56:55And they're able to have the belief and the mindset to come in here and try to get a win.
00:57:0012 for Pochomsky.
00:57:02Only Warrior in double figures.
00:57:04Curry two of eight with eight.
00:57:06Santos eight.
00:57:07Green with five.
00:57:08Porzingis with nine.
00:57:09Leonard but fake.
00:57:12Ball deflected.
00:57:13And ricochets out of bounds.
00:57:15Shot clock at 11.
00:57:16Clippers ball.
00:57:24Warriors defensively 18th in the league in defensive rating.
00:57:31Gary Payton and Draymond doing everything they can to keep the ball out of Kawhi Leonard.
00:57:37But right there, that space allows the others for the Clippers to play straight up three on three.
00:57:43And they score.
00:57:44Sanders with the assist.
00:57:46Porzingis with the ball.
00:57:47Fakes on Lopez.
00:57:49The three won't drop.
00:57:50It's picked up by Leonard.
00:57:52Traffic fending him off.
00:57:54Staggers ahead.
00:57:55Did you see this?
00:57:56Whoa!
00:57:56Are you kidding me?
00:57:57Are you kidding me?
00:58:12It's Curry.
00:58:14And they're looking.
00:58:17Green the screen.
00:58:19Curry the three no.
00:58:21And Porzingis is going in there to dunk it again.
00:58:23But the rim rebound too high.
00:58:25Shot no good at the buzzer.
00:58:27And the Clippers, who at one time led by 10,
00:58:35will take a lead of eight to the locker room.
00:58:38Well, somebody has been in the weight room and it's a problem for the NBA because he was already a
00:58:43robot right there.
00:58:45Fending off three, four defenders for the easy, would we call that an easy dunk?
00:58:50Well, I don't know if you want to call it easy or not, but it was sure impressive and fun
00:58:54in a guy that was swashbuckling his way for two.
00:58:58Pretty play by Kawhi Leonard.
00:59:00Stay tuned for the half presented by AT&T tonight, hosted by Taylor Rooks with Dirk Nowitzki, Udonis Haslam, and
00:59:08Blake Griffin.
00:59:12The winner will advance to one more chance, but they'll have to play on the road in Phoenix.
00:59:18But the loser will go home.
00:59:20The season will end.
00:59:21It's winner go home in this one.
